in my room in north las vegas

well im not sure whats going on, the promotion is a full 2% payback (every $100 u bet adds $2 to ur cashback on todays 5x points). so it should be next to impossible to lose over the long run, when using basic strategy on 6 deck BJ pays about 99 and a half percent. But i am, im out close to $3000 and only got back about $300 in cashback to claim when im awake, (i need the manager to certify me as a high roller for getting over 20,000 points this month otherwise u only get HALF when taking cashback instead of rooms or food, or cigs, etc.) people who are listed as hi rollers get full dollar for dollar

instead of martingaling and counting the deck as i normally would (only on plus counts of course) i was pretty much flat bettind, 30, 40, 50 or 60 or 80 (depending on whether the majority of the cards were hi or low the previous hand or so) and yet i still lost all that, dont see how thats mathematically possible, or at least likely, can someone prove it is? otherwise i need the gaming commission to come make sure they arent cheating. maybe i lost more because my bets were quite a bit more than normal, but i shouldve been +EV at least $100 an hour if the machines not dishonest. only took like 3 hours to run up that much in cashback.

and with the other big loss earlier today at slots of fun of over $2000, my new rolls down to only $10,100 so thats 33% of my 15k gone in one day which is awful.

  1. Congratulations Tony on donking off nearly $5000 in one day. That must be a new record for you. Low level poker professionals don't do that. Degenerate gambling addicts do. Very soon you will be back sleeping in dumpsters. Hope you find one that is reasonably clean. Stupid is as stupid does.

  2. Tony: some day, some how, a method to avoid losing so much of your roll in one day will become self-evident and you shall prosper.

I agree, it should be next to impossible to loss over the long run. Three hours of play, is definitely NOT the long run. How many hands of BJ was that, 400-500? That is a pretty small sample.

Tony, did you read my response in the Counting VBJ thread about bet sizes a couple of days ago. I told you it is easy to lose $500 in a short period of time flat betting $20/hand. Now you are betting up to $80/hand, no wonder you lost $3000. Let's say you were averaging $50/hand. Not only is it possible to lose $3000 in 3 hours, it is probably that you will do it from time to time. This is assuming you didn't make any mistakes and used perfect strategy. You should have stuck to the $10/hand I suggested. Go ahead and contact gaming commission, I am sure they can use a good laugh.

  4. That's one heck of a beat down for a day.

Good luck grinding back now that you are back on full tilt in VBJ.

  5. You lost a decent used car in one day due to your gambling addiction by playing -ev games and instead of realizing you have no self control you want to call the gaming comission? Jesus christ dude give your head a shake. There is no such thing as a +$100 an hour house game in a casino. Instead of demanding others prove things for you, why dont you show us your math to save some shred of the respect we all lost for you today?

  6. Tony,

Why would the casino have a machine or game that would be +EV for the players? If you were running a business would you lose money on purpose?

Please cite a reliable source that identifies these machines as +EV.

    Good luck,

  7. Tony, variance caught up to you is what happened. Step back and take a deep breath, get some sleep. These things happen, you just have to play through the down swings to get back even. Of course we all know that you will win the $5000.00 back in a very short time and be headed to $20,000.00 in no time.

You great Professional Gambler keep your head up and play through this small set back.

  8. $5000.00 loss in one day?

You really have given up on being a "Professional Poker Player" and are now simply a degenerate gambler.

Please change the name of your blog - nothing about what you've been doing is "grinding low stakes poker" - tossing away 5k on donkey machines (I can't believe you still think you can beat the machines - Tony, you see the lights on and you know how they pay for them, don't you?).

You're gonna throw your roll away. Your dream of reaching 20k by X-mas is getting tossed in the garbage.

You really could make it grinding low stakes poker, but you lack the discipline to address your gambling addiction.

    s.i.

p.s. - yes, Tony, this is Tem. I signed up for your blog. And, yes, this format sucks.

  10. Three times 33.3% of your roll is 100%. How lucky are you feeling Tony?

  11. wow Tony this is not good, just think you should get a apartment and stay away machines.

  12. You seriously just blew another $5,000 at the machines?

Don't you even care about yourself or your goals?

You goal was to hit $20,000 by the end of the year and you have been getting close but then you go and do something so bloody stupid like blow through $5,000 on machines because you thought you couldn't lose.
    That's bloody retarded.

How is it that you never are able to comprehend that you lose way more than you ever win on the machines?

You do realize that in less than 3 weeks you have LOST well over 1 years worth of rent?
    You have lost a car?
You have lost the ability to have a $20,000 roll?

Hopefully when you go back to that machine later today you don't get "cheated" and pull a profit so you don't get too desperate.

Also, where are you in North Las Vegas? Cannery? Aliante?

  13. It is mind boggling why you just can't play poker every day and build your roll.

    Seek help Tony.

  14. Well done!
You just get DUMB AND DUMBER !

Lloyd: I'll bet you twenty bucks I can get you gambling before the end of the day!
    Harry: No way!
Lloyd: I'll give you three to one odds.
    Harry: No.
    Lloyd: Five to one.
    Harry: No.
    Lloyd: Ten to one?
    Harry: You're on!
    Lloyd: I'm gonna get ya!
    Harry: Nuh uh!
Lloyd: I don't know how, but I'm gonna get ya.

  15. Tony, if losing 5k in less than 24 hours on a slot machine doesn't convince you that you need help, then you are officially beyond reproach. Just wave the white flag and see where your addiction takes you on the wild ride that is your life.

  16. Tony, i guess the thud sound was not working, lol. Tony virtual VBJ machines were built to beat card counters no other reason. Machines from 2000 or newer are continuous shuffle or shuffle after every hand. Tony the best thing for you to do is go spend some time with your son Mark or have you forgot you even had a son. Tony you need a break from gambling

  17. Damn!!! I booked my flight for next week to play those machines and wait for the thud noise to hit. WTF am I going to do now?

    ReplyDelete
  18. maybe the thud was the sound of si, zin, chad, and koala hitting their head against the wall.

  20. The bounty while it was in effect served one very useful purpose. It kept me off the machines at binions with the awful payouts.
