moved rooms today and am up to $15,200

ive never in my life had $15,200 before, the highest ive ever had in the past was $14,300 won over $1600 today on a VBJ machine and i admit i got lucky, at one point had 3 hands of $132 each and won 5 bets off it, 2 of which were a double down.and im gonna now go and play a little poker before i sleep since i slept so much last nite i didnt wake up til after 4am. and id still like to hear from the OD and grouchie.

wait!!! i spoke too soon. i went over to the riviera, played awhile, had to fold about every hand, finally played a good hand and lost, cashed out $113 down, and went and lost back this mornings big win on the machine, rolls back to only $13500. dammit going to sleep now for sure. and the action there is awful this time of day in the poker room.

  1. I would have thought you hitting $20K by Xmas was a long shot but OMG I think you are going to do it Tony. I won't make any suggestions about anything (them machines, where to stay, how to play AK, etc). But I will conclude with: do whatever you think will make your readers proud of you. Regards, Lester

  2. WTF are you doing, betting $132 a hand? That is insane. Have you decided playing VBJ is a good idea now? Is the bounty still on?

  3. OK Tony, so you picked up $1600 on the machines and then managed to dump $1700 a few hours later. Must of been the euphoria of finally hitting the 15K mark. That puts you $100 down because of THE MACHINES. So much for the worry about having to pay out a $200 bounty. All BS Tony. If you are serious about staying off the machines, which I don't think you really are or ever was, make the bounty $500 or $1000, that might just scare you enough to keep you off the machines.

You can still hit that 15K if you just stick with poker. Keep playing the machines and ignore the advice from those who want you to succeed and you will be back to less than $10,000 in a very short period of time.

  4. LMAO So the machine with the promotion just sucked you in just like the promotion is designed to do. Just because it has 101%+ payback that is based on infinity and is not a guarantee you will win.

  5. Oh well at least you get lots of free rooms. From reading your blog it sounds like you're a pretty decent grinder. You must have to buy food and pay your other expenses and since I've been reading your adventures it seems like you are steadily building your bankroll so you're doing something right. BUT BE CAREFUL! The Devil owns those machines.

  6. lots of times i buy food with comps, and i got an invite to a slot tourney in OCT 20-22. 60 people are invited, and 20 of the 60 win a free $1200 which isnt too bad of odds. its free and includes room nites.

  9. It's just a matter of time before you have a big VBJ blow up and are back under 10k. Stop and think about what you are doing Tony. Good grief.

  11. grrouchie, tony does not hate money he is just a sick gambler, tony is not a poker player just a sick sick gambler, i do wish him well though. Casinos just love card counters on there VBJ machines, you never see security keeping an eye out for VBJ card counters.

  12. I repeat, Tony, WTF?

I fully expected you to lose the money back to the machines, but I thought you would hang on for at least a day.

So, is the bounty still on? I told you the bounty won't work, it never did and it never will.

  13. Tony,

It is like you are unable to learn and refuse to listen to your own advice.

Machines are -EV, you know it, you declare it in your blog, you put a bounty on yourself, but yet continue to play them. Can you provide a logical explanation for this continued foolish behavior?

I hope you can continue to stay afloat, but machines are your demon and will, eventually, take you down.

    Good luck,

  15. maybe tony is allergic to money.

keep martingaling though, it is the way, the truth and the light. its almost as good as shoving with AK preflop.

  16. like I mentioned earlier...you need to add $10 or $20 a day to your bounty to make it worthwhile.
