lost my cell and really worried ill never see it again

please everyone call and text 702-350-6591 until someone replies and contacts me. no idea who found my iphone left on the san jose city bus and i cannot access a phone except the one at this motel for local calls only. i want everyone i know to text offering a $50 reward til whoever found and is using that phone responds to the message. calls arent working theyre going striaght to voicemail ive been told, whatever that means i dunno.

lost about $500 last nite hanging out with a girl at bay101 whose 23 ive known for many years on PTP neverbeg poker forums. she drove me home about midnite when her mom said her baby woke up and she needed to get home and then i slept til it was time to wake up and then i rode the bus over towards bay 101 and was gonna leave town today but then i left my cell right near the front of the bus where i was sitting, and i remember sitting it down and it being in a kind of enclosed area of the bus, maybe even still there.

  1. your best bet is to call the bus line that you think you left it on and see if it was placed in the lost and found

  2. ive already done that of course, and am supposed to check back with lost and found tomorrow. theres so many route 22s running every 12 minutes theyre not sure which bus, and they asked 2 drivers who dont seem to have any knowledge of it. i think it might be down hidden on the bus where it cant be seen where i dropped it.

  3. When the call goes straight to voicemail, it means the phone is either turned off, or someone is on the phone (if you don't have call waiting).

Assuming your cell phone was charged and turned on this morning when you left it on the bus, that means someone found it and turned it off. That probably means bad news. Iphones are valuable, even for old ones. My guess is someone took out the sim card and pawned it already.

If by chance someone turned it in, it probably won't be in lost and found until end of the day or tomorrow.

  4. Tony, I think the only way you will get that iPhone back is through divine intervention....

  5. pokerdogg if i found an iphone, id be using it either making calls or texts. and if i seen an incoming text or call id answer, especially if it was someone offering money. why wouldnt someone else if they seen an incoming message? and they wouldnt have time to do what u suggest.

LOL. If I found a phone, I wouldn't use it at all. I will turn it into lost and found, or give it to the bus driver to turn it in.

They wouldn't answer an incoming message, because your phone is OFF, or out of service range. I don't know for sure why that is the case, but by deductive reasoning, someone probably turned it off. And why would someone do that? Probably to sell it or pawn it off.

If everyone acts like me, your phone would be in lost and found already or would have answered your call and arranged a place to give back your phone.

If everyone is like you, then your phone is being used and getting charges racked up, and waiting for a reward offer to come through.

Well, this world has many different kinds of people, and they act differently than you.

  7. I'm sure dwp or whoever it was will be delighted you managed to lose their phone. 50 won't be enough to get it back when you can pawn it for at least 200.

  8. Okay Tony, I sent a text to your phone. If I hear back, how do I get in touch with you or more importantly how do I put the finder in touch with you?

  9. Have you considered praying for the return of your phone?

    God will provide...

  15. pokerdogg, the reason id be using it is to contact the owner of the phone, i found someones phone years ago and called the numbers of their contacts and they were able to contact the owner who gave me a $20 reward. but it wasnt an iphone. (i arranged to meet them in the casino and hand them the phone.)

  16. using the phone does NOT rack up charges u know its prepaid and in fact expires tomorrow if not renewed for another month with tmobile at $50 a month.

  17. Tony, I am pretty sure pawn shops would be interested in an iPhone. Maybe not $200 interested, but probably no problem get $20-30 for it.

BTW, I am missing another post from this morning.

    p.s. This format still sucks

p.p.s. Just saw the movie Contagion. There was a blogger who kept calling himself a jounalist. It made me think of you.

If that's what you meant by calling and texting with the phone, why didn't you say so? You keep saying you are a journalist, but your posts are full of holes and often mislead your readers.

First of all, I was talking about finding a phone in general. Lots of people have monthly contract, which incurr more cost if you exceed the monthly talk time or data quota. Even with prepaid minutes, you are still racking up the charges by using the phone, the only difference is the minutes are prepaid. The fact that your particular phone plan expires tomorrow is irrelevant to our discussion.

  19. pokerdogg, there cannot be any charges because the monthly fee is set in stone and is UNLIMITED EVERYTHING.

and is there any truth to todays rumor FTP has been sold

That's a pretty sweet plan, but like I said, quite irrelevant to our discussion because lots of people don't have unlimited plans.

By the way, do you realize that "unlimited" data isn't really unlimited? If you exceed 100MB per month, T-mobile can slow down your Bandwidth, or even cut you off. Stream a few more porn videos on your iPhone and you will see what I mean.

Also, unlimited voice call only applies to calls within US. If you call outside of your country, long distance charges apply. Give me your next phone and see how much charges I can rack up for you.

  21. no its unlimited text and web and talk, and no charges can be racked up because u cannot dial canada at all on it. im safe. i just wish i knew how to contact whoever has it and arrange for its return. and now i must sleep. won $150+ today but after expenses am only up $62. and which of my readers are gonna be in reno for the pot of gold? ill see them soon.
