on the amtrak heading in the general vicinty of reno but who knows where ill get off.

kind of sad to be leaving san Jose. wish i knew where to get a really good deal on a place to live here. and im gonna have to replace that iphone right away, it was never turned into lost and found. i was afraid of that, wouldve offered a much higher reward but didnt feel i should have to, angry the guy who got the phone wouldnt reply. i certainly would reply if i stole someones phone.

made over $1400 on the final day in san jose. $359 in $1-2 NL, $600 in 4-8 hilow omaha, and then more again when i went back to $1-2 NL. games and action is wonderful here in san jose, and im sure the games are beatable for well over $1500 a week long term, if i had a larger roll and somewhere suitable to live.

still holding onto more than what i left vegas with, about $13,900 i think will add it up once i get a chance. spent well over $2000 on rooms cabs trains food etc over the last 4 weeks and still doing ok.

cannot seem to find anyone on avp planning on attending this years potofgold and i find that very odd. and the reason i didnt update so much lately is due to not having a phone now for the last day or so. i plan to replace it extremely quickly once i hit reno and thats gonna take money off the roll, and probably will also find a cheap apt to relax in for a month.

  1. Nice job on the poker wins in San Jose. See you can do well sticking just to poker. Don't start playing machines when u get to Reno. Good luck up there.

  2. Check out the pawn shops, you may be able to find a cheap one there.

  3. somebody didnt steal your phone, you lost it.

its amazing how you always think of other people in a bad way. no wonder you dont have a girlfriend, a friend or a meaningful life.

  4. i think most people would agree that if the finder of the phone ignores all requests to return the phone for a reward he's essentially stolen it. ask pokerdogg, when it should be obv someones desperately trying to contact whoever found it.

  5. am in a really nice cardroom right now about to get a shower and some good sleep not far from a casino outside of sacramento. good safe motel but not nearly overpriced as in san jose, and i locked up $6000 in the bank too earlier by cab, on the way to this hotel, so now i have over $8000 safely put away, not counting over $1000 more on netspend. will put the rest in this casino if they allow it, and dont know for sure how long ill be in the area, but its probably safer here and i hope the games still loose. i really and truly want to go to livermore and need to investigate how to get there. if that omaha8 game is truly as loose as bay101, i cannot believe how i can win over $600 at 4-8 omaha. that would certainly be a risk free way to clear $2000 a week and pile up a roll in no time.

  6. Tony got your email. Next few days don't look good. Picked up a side job and while I need some days off the money is too good to say no.

You aren't missing anything in Livermore. Very small town. I live about 20 mins from it and this isn't an area know for poker. You passed it on the way to Sac. I might be able to get up that way later next week but don't know for sure.

Why keep 8000 outside the bank. IMO way way too much. I would keep 3-4000 max out. You don't need to carry that much around and you don't want to put huge amounts on the table. Take it slow in Sac until u get a feel for things.

  7. Be sure to have them disable your old phone as soon as possible. Anybody can buy a charger for $15 and have some fun with it.

  8. Tatude, I think that's about how much Tony has on him.

    $13900
    -$8000 in bank
    -$1000 on Netspend

    = $4900 in sock-roll

keep in mind that some of the bankroll probably included his various unused comp dollars, his actual cash on hand is probably closer to $4k

  9. Pokerdogg you're probably right. I was just worried about him carrying large sums of cash. A few thousand at hand should be enough. I was worried about him getting robbed losing it or going on tilt-a-rama and blowing thru it all. He's been doing real well tho. Making $ in San Jose is not easy. The rooms aren't filled with fishy tourists.

  10. Tatude, you are right, he shouldn't be carrying most of his money around, don't understand why he was walking around with 80% of his entire net worth. If I were him, I wouldn't carry more than $1000 each day. That really is all you need playing 1/2 or 1/3. If you loss close to 10% of your networth in one day, you really shouldn't be putting more money on the table.

But, martingaling poker is Tony's secret weapon, and he need loads of cash to do that.

  11. Martingaling is very dangerous and will punish anyone and everyone that martingales eventually.

  12. BTW Pikerdogg good luck in your tourney.

  13. I plan on becoming a professional roulette player since the martingale system makes the game just short of a total lock:

The best piece of advice we can offer is to play roulette with a betting system. The Martingale Betting System, for example, is a great way to all but guarantee a profit. The idea is to start with a lowest table limit bet size, placing your wager on an even-odds payout like Black or Red, High or Low, Even or Odd. Keep making the same bet, but double your wager every time you lose. When you do win, you’ll be up by one bet

  14. Tony why don't you move your blog to AVP, you take forever to approve or answer anyone's question. This format does not let anyone debate any issue you are having. Good luck in Reno Tony.

  15. I'm very happy with my Android smart phone and Virgin Mobile plan, just $25/month for unlimited text/data/web plus plenty of minutes for me (300).

    See: http://bit.ly/rudubM

Looks like the phone has dropped in price. Was $200 when I bought it in April, now just $150: http://bit.ly/oI75XG
