one of few people who hasnt bought and sold thru amazon and ebay

i figured id be better off if i did all my sleeping at times theres likely to be other people on the VBJ, and only played when it was empty. So i tried to fall asleep before noon today, and managed to go back to sleep more than once for a 5 hour nap. and im hungry because i ate the buffet earlier at breakfast and have no ticket now, but ive still got 8 more soups left. i spent far too little on food, $9-10 was NOT enough for a months supply.

so back in the "old days" when i used to live in cheap motels etc far more, and in the casinos a lot less, I remember buying groceries alot at a store called ALDIS. they are not in a lot of cities, including vegas. but im sure some of the readers has one located near them. It was a much cheaper warehouse type grocery store than either food4less or walmsrts, which is about as low as u can get in vegas. as far as i knew, it was always the lowest price food store anywhere in the country. and a 6 pack of snickers bars was often $2.29 and i think later went up to $2.49.

I wish i knew where the cheapest store was in the entire usa for groceries. decided to research online typing up cheap snickers bars, cheap hershey bars. and i found out that amazon sells groceries. never knew that. But to me they dont seem that cheap. i wouldve thought for sure u can get them for not more than 50c each at least SOMEWHERE, and that dont seem possible. and of course i forgot about shipping. This was about the best i could find.

is it possible to buy any type of food online really cheap? where? and what type of food item? or because of shipping costs, does everyone always buy their food at their local grocery stores? thought this might be a good idea but i guess not. some of the items claimed they could ship by dec 12, but that cant be. that would make the shipping high.

also, where and how do u buy amazon.com gift certificates at a far below market value, which essentially decreases the cost of ur purchase on amazon? id swear theres people who sell gift certificates cheap isnt there? i know Britni had me give her money before by me buying an amazon certificate and she used it for a machine to quit smoking.

and u wouldnt believe how TIGHT people are online when playing only 2c4c on the NL tables. its weird, because the 6 max omaha high tables arent tight like that. only the holdem tables. even in the casino its looser than that for far higher stakes.

---and also i tried looking up allegiant air vouchers on amazon and ebay, there dont even seem to be a category everything i found under allegiant wasnt a ticket, but some other type of memorabilia. so how would i sell there?

funny how i wasnt so worried about homelessness and poverty when traveling on greyhound about 10 yrs ago and found a place in Butte Mt for $230 a month, and had somewhat less than $900 to live off, but yet worry so much about it now. i used to be really broke a lot in the old days of using greyhound buses. gave me a bad opinion of buses and is why i didnt listen to advice to save money using them more recently but i sure could use that $800 now. But in those days there was party poker and netteller, and good games available online and players who werent good.

i wish i couldve slept 3 more hours til 8, and then woke up to be ready to play the VBJ at a time less people would be on it. doubt i could go play on it now, and i have only $18 on lock, so i cant play too much in my room. am heating up one of the soups.

  1. wouldnt know, but no way to get to a food stamp office and back, sometimes they wont accept my proof of citizenship, last time i got them was a few years back. also no stores within 20 miles that take food stamps, the local gas station doesnt

    1. Walmart.com duh. It takes 3-7 days to receive the food and some foods are not charged a shipping fee.

  4. did any of the readers previously know there is a way to beat Ultimate X machines for one hand if someone has left a machine abondoned on a previous multiplier? i never knew that before.

    1. Funny you should mention that. I've seen people scrolling through the various VP games on those machines rapid fire, and then walking away without playing. I always wondered what the hell they were doing. I guess this explains it.

  5. I actually know someone who buys food and other stuff really cheap online like shampoo, etc. His AIM name is davepeters239, he's a really friendly fellow. You can tell him Glennford sent you and tell him who you are and he'll gladly help I'm sure. I'm actually being serious too, this isn't a troll post at all. The guy sells porn for a living and other stuff he does on the side is takes like $100 to a bank and exchanges them for half dollars and then sorts through all the half dollars for ones that are certain years that he can sell online for $2 or $3 each, and then he takes the rest back. My point is he's really cheap, and he has tons of coupons, etc and will definitely be able to help you with what you're interested in.

  8. thought it odd u posted more than once, first under the name Glenn and then again seperately, thru AIM it looks like, (any posts thru an AIM id always turn into a weird series of numbers.) Made me wonder if maybe that was really YOUR aim id, and was just recently created, but according to google its been around for some time, and is used on lots of forums.

Hell, google search even shows the judge in the casey anthony case emailing dave peters, no idea what thats about.

but anyway, since i learned his email ill contact him that way later on, because i dont have AIM up and running on my laptop. only yahoo messenger. seems like me he loves to read archie comics, ive considered buying those before when i had a place to live, but only very cheaply and in bulk format. like the old digest size if i couldve got them for like 25c each, who cares how bad of shape, id just read then get rid of em.

lol at the 50c pieces idea, i would think NONE out of 10 rolls of $100 in halves would be worth anything. silver isnt in circulation. only once did i get a Franklin Half in a poker game. and I managed to get $5 out of a buyer at the table. i wonder if he would know how to get max value out of an allegiant voucher. my biggest worry is getting scammed, id have to sell it locally for cash or have someone willing to transfer to my bank upfront.

  9. Tony, you need to start eating healthier - something other than Snickers, soda and that ramen noodle crap. Can't you get a few pieces of fruit from the buffet every day?

What do you eat at the buffet, anyway - mashed potatoes and ice cream?

    1. is it really worth getting in trouble for something so minor?

    2. Sorry, I didn't mean to suggest that you sneak food out of the buffet to eat later ... But you really need to look after your health. I'm sure there are many healthy options at the buffet - focus on eating as many cruciferous vegetables as you can (things like cauliflower, cabbage, bok choy, and broccoli). They are loaded with vitamins, and help your digestive system.

I know you don't drink alcohol, so that's good - too much means lots of calories. But soda is loaded with sugar, and will rot your teeth - I have eliminated virtually 100% of carbonated soft drinks from my diet. Drink fresh juice and mineral water.

    3. also besides the vegetables u mentioned, there are still some that actually taste good, such as corn and peas.

    4. Corn is a grain, not a vegetable.

You need to eat green beans, asparagus, brocolli, mixed salad greens, etc. And protein (meat, fish, raw nuts, eggs).

Get rid of the sugar, the grains (corn, wheat & anything made from flour, rice, oats, etc) and starchy tubers like potatoes and yams.

If you do nothing but eat meat and veggies (remember corn and potatoes are NOT veggies), you'll be fine.

    5. IMO, Tony shouldn't cut out the carbs. He probably needs the calories from potatoes or grains, such as rice since he doesn't eat enough as is. Cutting carbs is only needed if you need to lose weight or are over doing it.

  10. roll back to $1500, won another $87 on the VBJ, and my room playing with the $19 i have on lock. can anyone explain why a player who is supposedly smart would rather play a $1 machine at 99.7% payback, than a 25c machine at 100.76% payback? why play at all if its not paying over 100%

he used the reasoning that MY machine is also only paying 99.7% but that would only be true if i was flat betting and NOT counting the cards. usually he is on the better paying machine.

    1. Tony,

Why have you played machines in the past that were far less than 99% and you claim to be smart?

It is just odd that you are questioning his choice when you have done the same on multiple occasions.

Please elaborate as I know you will have many excuses why it was reasonable for you to play -EV machines that were much worse than 99.7%.

      Good luck,

      Snevman

  11. went back to the machine 1 final time, won another $30, then ate in the graveyard buffet, now am back in my room, theres almost no sngs going at this time of the morning, but still about 2000 people online, no idea what theyre playing. i have $20 on lock

  12. I use amazon.com a lot and have a prime membership which has a free 2 day shipping option on many of the things I buy online. But even with prime eligible products the shipping cost is morphed into the base price of the product anyhow. Buying food from amazon.com is more of a convenience thing than a money-saver. It saves a trip to the store but the cost of the product is never lower at amazon.com.

    Regards, Lester

  13. How are video blackjack machines +EV? The machines in Vegas each hand dealt is completely random and has no relevance to the previous hand dealt. Is the machine you are playing on different from this? If you can count on these machines why don't gamblers with money come in and play a 100x spread and crush these machines? This makes no sense to me.

  14. it's misleading. they show people online if they are just logged in. also you referenced earlier that more people were logged into revolution than merge as justification there was more SNG volume on revolution. prior to BCP leaving that was not the case. more cash game play on revolution but less SNGs (at least at higher stakes). not sure how much that has changed this month. I've been busy with work and then on vacation so i've only logged one session since BCP left. When I did merge SNGs looked dead that one time. Not a good sign for my side income at all. I'll prob play Wed night so we'll see then.
