My money is now well on its way into the downhill slide i knew was coming, i lost $94 at samstown again today, $100 of the $94 loss was on the poker table, and the other $6 profit was on the VBJ. i was out $50 in the poker room first blinds round the table. Then i went and paid my rent today one day early for another week and there went $174 of my money.

Plus i need to spend some money doing a favor ordering something for mom of which ill be paid back extra money besides, although i still dont like it i guess i should do it. so yeah my rolls gonna be getting quite short. havent paid the phone bill yet, and ive got things i still need at walmarts,(more food) ive not even got me a blanket yet, still just using this old sheet. I am not sure what to play, i only know what i cant play, i cant have any more losing days.

yeah i felt like i couldnt afford to play NL earlier and didnt need to since i was doing good at $2-6. now im wondering if $2-6 is still beatable longterm and if i was just running lucky. right as i was getting to where i could afford NL again, now i feel like i cannot again. and of course i cant be purchasing the bike i need. if i had the bike, id ride it up to the $50 NL buyin at boulder sometimes, be a better game maybe. At least ive gone up a little on lock since buying from vook that last $62 for $50. that might keep me from depositing more there. its up to $94 on lock, meaning if i was to sell it back right now, id get $70. i sure hope i can afford to keep this place a week from now next time its due. Sure wish there was alot more online poker available.

cant find anyone who needs to fill their tank with gas either, i can buy anyone gas in Jean with my remaining $107 comps. and if they smoke, can get those too. If im going to stay in vegas, might as well try to get cash.

moms swears that i should buy something called ROACH PROOF to get rid of the roaches, says it worked for her once at a place i was a kid.

  1. Take $100 shots at nl or you will be broke sonn and wished you had.

  2. Roaches stay away from gasoline. So if you already have the comp card, it will save you money to just buy some gas and spread it around the corners of the house and the baseboard.

  3. Roaches won't cross gasoline, and since you already have the comp card, it will save you money to just use that to get some gas and spread it around the corners and the baseboard.

  4. Tony, there is a good tourney at Golden Nugget Saturday Jan 19th, only $135($100+25+10) for 12k chips and 30 min blinds, guaranteed 25k, should have 300+ players.
I haven't seen the actual blind schedule but assuming its fairly standard that's a good deal to make a good score. I will most likely play it.

    1. yes thats a good structure but it wouldnt be good for me to play it unless u bought me in it. u see id rather have a 50% shot at winning $100, than a 5% shot at winning $1000.

and of course will always feel that way til i get such a high roll each $100 buyin no longer means near as much to me

  5. so when you're beating it it's a great game and when you have a couple losing sessions you don't know if the game is beatable?

    1. pretty much, my sample size is way too small for $2-6 to know if its beatable or not.

    2. Two people were killed today in an apparent robbery/shooting at Harbor Island Apartments. Be careful TBC, there are bad people in this world.

  7. anyone had experience with the walmart moneycard or any other types of prepaid debit cards? as far as pending holds are concerned? Earlier today, i tried to use my bank card to do mom a favor, and it didnt go thru, called the bank, and they said to call back later because the system was down. well, i was going asleep, so i ended up using the walmart debit card, i finally got it to work, but NOT while over the phone with the seller, but while trying to do it online once he sent me the info. now its showing 2 pending transactions of $281.28, wtf? there should only be 1. hopefully the first one that got declined soon should clear off there, but who knows maybe it will take a week, its both showing as pending and in the meantime NONE of that money can be spent. mom is sending me my money back in tomorrows mail plus the extra $100 she promised me for doing this for her, she needs me because the seller dont take checks, and she has NO debit card as u all know. This was for $281 worth of expensive tea via herballife. But it sure is a pain in the ass, am really wondering when my money will show back up on my walmart debitcard, im out $281 TWICE now and will eventually get back one of those on my debit card, plus a $382 check within the week.

  8. been running badly lately because of twice yesterday flopping 2 pair on flops like J92, getting a check raise in both times, lady calling me with hands like AQ, then runner runnering 2 pairs with Q on turn, and 2 on river against my flopped JJ99. the other time flop was QJ4, i had J4, and Q pairs the turn. Eating in a second, and then i think ill play NL at boulder tonight instead.

    2. well thats for buying in $100 instead of $50. boulder station allows $50

    3. Playing $2-$6 Spread is playing what I like to call a river game. Everyone wants to see the river and will pay to see what comes on the river. My plan then is to keep the pot small until the river and then bet or raise for value. In a $2-$10 game it is the same thing but you can get some people off of their hands. $2-$20 is better yet in that you can get people off of their hands. Just my 2 cents. If your going to play poker then you have to accept the varience of the game.

  9. Tony:

    Ask yourself a serious question:

"Self, should I be charging my mom a 40% mark up on a "favor"?"

She's your mom, Tony. She took care of you. She is taking care of the fruit of YOUR loins.

I know you feel you are hurting for money, but your mom is getting by on a fixed income, taking care of your son, and doesn't have money to spare. Should you really be taking that extra benjamin for doing her a FAVOR?

Think on it. What would baby jesus do?

  10. There was a shooting over at Harbor Island. Also did I read that right. Did your mom offer you 100 just to order 281 worth of tea. That's higher juice than a loan shark. Seriously you shouldn't charge her anything at the most a nominal fee. It didn't cost you anything. Bad karma if u do that.

    1. its already cost me over $581 doing mom the favor. hopefully the 2nd charge will get fixed, and ill soon get the other $281 back and the extra $100, but tonight, my roll is only $1400 instaed of $2000 til this is fixed. im worried it may be tied up as pending a long time, this happens sometimes with debit cards and not with banks. dont claim its not costing me serious hassles and mental aggravation.

    2. How much of a hassle and mental aggravation was it for your mother to raise your son?

  11. Don't listen to the haters complaining about the vig you're charging your mom.

Sure she raised you, raised your son, and helped you get SSI in the past but what has she done for you LATELY or IMMEDIATELY? Not very much, that's what.

Besides, when you're rich soon you'll naturally buy her a nice new house, right?

  13. Last time my mom wanted something I bought it for her and didn't even make her pay me back.

  14. Setting aside the double charge, $281.00 for tea?

    Is that normal?

    s.i.

p.s. - Tony, you gotta rethink the $100.00 vig. Send you mom the money back on Farmville or something. I know you feel stressed about cash, but charging your mom is bad karma.
