i hope sickcallMcgee is alive and not in the hospital

he never showed up this morning at 9am, all texts and phone calls go to an answering machine, no word at all from him. not sure what ever happened, i was awake and out playing the VBJ at 7.30am and thats when i first texted him, i think he thought i might sleep til 9am, and he said hed just knock on my door if i didnt wake up sooner.

and I'm stuck $123, because i bet too much. also ive only got $500 of the $750 paypal sent to my bank, seems the final $250 never made it and was still in paypal, so i just got it sent off today. I got stuck $123 by betting more than i should since i was stuck. yeah i was basically following the chart, but i was down, and it was like 64 cards out, and the count was like +10, so instead of betting 1 hand like i shouldve, being stuck quite a bit, i bet 3 hands of $13. dealer gets A up and i take insurance, (true count being +3 or higher). i lost the insurance bet then lost the hands, then its 77 cards out, and being thouroughly pissed and the count still being +8, i raised the bet to 3 hands of $15, and again the dealer has an A up. true count no longer is plus 3, so i dont take insurance, and this time the dealer has it. played a while longer, won back like $15 and quit.

its not WEC whose lollerskates, its some old neverbeg troll, could be anyone. its not the black pimp either. and they took out the craps machine today, really concerns me, i dont want them doing that to the VBJ, because i dont think i have enough to grind omaha8 in vegas, there are other VBJ in vegas too same type, but NOT with the good comps and rooms.

also someone said they have one of these in a big casino outside Tulsa right off the hiway?

  1. Classify this under "Tony being his own worst enemy" ...

Tony, you continually reject suggestions to find some other type of job or work, yet you continue to make the same fatal mistakes time after time. Until the time comes when you do not feel the pressure of "being stuck" you will continue to undo your good efforts with mistakes.

Life is not such that you can have someone bird dogging you 24/7 at the casinos so that you don't piss away your winning or get deeper in a hole every time you can't handle the pressure of losing money. That is why so many of us have implored you to get on government assistance so that you at least would have a stable basis.

I can't imagine what life would be like to not have some type of home to go to at the end of the day to just regroup if nothing else.

I guess I find myself like s.i. and others, wishing you the best. I am not sure what I can do beyond that.

  2. shouldn't you be up $127 for the day, since you got $250 added to your roll today?

    (your logic, not mine)

  3. What good is a system if you don't follow it?

  4. Tony, not sure why you are trying to confirm existence of similar machines in other states. You are not thinking of traveling hundreds or thousands of miles, to find a machine that you can grind for 50 cents/hour, are you?

Come on, put some work into your poker game. There is no reason why you can't improve your game to make $10/hr, with far lesser risk of ruin than VBJ.

  5. Tony, looks like someone over on RTP bailed you out (at least temporarily). Why not use this extra cushion to buy some time to work on your long term plan? Take a day off from gambling and focus on social services.... Figure out how you are going to survive past the next year.

Of course, it appears instead that you're immediately focused on grinding your knew found riches into old-school wealth on video blackjack . . .

You've been given yet another opportunity to make a smart decision. Not sure how many more of these you'll get...

  6. Tony once and for all "no system beats the casino in the long run". If there was a system to beat a game believe no one would share it.

    1. Zin, once and for all there are ways to beat the casinos. There are people that make money doing this, known as advantage players. Sometimes, some of them do share their knowledge, but they are not the ones selling their secret for $49.99.

The problem is, there isn't a static "system" persay. The landscape changes, sometimes very quickly. You need to be adaptable, resourceful, and disciplined to succeed as an advantage player, qualities lacking in Tony.

    2. It's a typical response from lifetime losers at gambling. "I'm not smart enough to beat the casino ... therefore nobody is."

    3. It's not about whether you are or if "nobody" is smart enough to "beat the casino." It's about whether Tony is. And Tony is a problem gambler.

He's actually one of the ones who ruins gambling for the rest of us, because he can't gamble responsibly.

    4. That's exactly it. I know Zin is trying to help Tony, but by saying casinos cannot be beat, it is not going to help Tony. The reason is he knows it can be beat, the problem is, he is not going about it the right way.

By saying it can't be beat, in Tony's mind it is a false statement, therefore he is going to ignore whatever good advice that comes afterwards.

The truth is, there are ways to beat the casinos, but it is difficult, requires a decent sized bankroll, has a fairly large variance, and demands discipline that Tony doesn't possess.

It is a tough nut to crack, that's for sure. It is very difficult to cure Tony's addiction to gambling, which is one of the biggest obstacle to Tony becoming successful at gambling.

  7. Tony i know you are smart enough to know that there is no system to beat a casino game in the long run. Tony if there was a miracle system believe me it would not be shared or sold for $49.99.

    1. i dont think Bob Dancer is all that trustworthy, remember my blog posts months back when he offered to sell me the info on when the shufflemaster VBJ machines shuffle for $2500, and said it was confidential and very few knew? the old ones where i couldnt figure out the 2 3rd shufflepoint?

if he was telling the truth, id think it would be more known by other APs, not just him and this guy Greg he wanted me to send the money to in the email he sent me.

  12. Tony - congratulations on the 1400 BTC! It's true; 1 BTC is about $43. You can exchange it on coinbase.com or mtgox.com. I have yet to do so myself. Good luck & I'm glad you're enjoying the online play.

  13. Tony, you should be grinding these bit coins while the play is still soft. If you want to cash some out, and if it's possible to transfer them, I would be willing to buy some off of you. Just let me know. I can wire or Paypal the money to you first, and you can transfer me the bit coins. If you figure out how to transfer to my account on seals, I will give you an exchange rate better than market.... Just let me know if/when you want to transfer some.

  14. Why don't you buy a small cooler (six pack size). I am sure the hotel has an ice machine. You could keep a little bit of milk for cereal, cheese for crackers and a couple pieces of fruit. It can double as a suitcase, if and when you move on. Or if a permanent one doesn't suit get one of the Styrofoam throw away ones they are like $3.99.

  15. What are these bit coins you guys are talking about?

  16. Tony, Del Park just implemented an hours-based bonus program. People who play the most hours get $400 cash a week. Too bad there is nothing like that by you. You could sit there and grind and make $1,200 a month in bonus alone

  17. I tried to find a little info on the bitcoin - fascinating concept.

It's now at 49.00 per bitcoin, an all-time high. I would suggest cashing out soon, from the little I've read.
