a strange dream

guys, make sure u dont miss the previous blog post. usually posts get over 1400 views and thats for 3-4 days between posts. this post prior has only been up for 1 day, and thats why it has less than 700 views, and also has less comments.  i have a problem i fear with posts being overlooked if i make 2 posts in too quick of succession.

that being said, i just woke up about 15 min ago and feel i need to mention this odd dream before i go to work. I dont know why i was feeling tired and taking a 3-4 hour nap between 6and 10pm, its just i never felt id slept enough earlier because i wanted to make sure the maid came in today so i got up right after hearing a knock on the door at 1.20pm. and after winning $14 earlier on the VBJ i wasnt in that big of a hurry to go back out and turn it into a loss again.

Anyway in this dream, im in a casino on the 2nd floor of an abandoned church. u have to go thru long dark hallways to get to the upstairs. the casino is composed of a few small pinball machines and of course the VBJ. im watching the guy next to me play who seems quite angry with me, and it becomes clear hes counting the cards, and im guessing he knows me, looks familiar. hes betting a wide spread, and im suddenly on to the fact hes also counting. then he disappears and some young black girl sits down. we got into some kind of arguement, (have forgotten now what about) and all of a sudden a black guy shows up with a knife. he tells me that its his sister, and that im disrespecting her. he throws me a knife also, and tells me to fight him like a man. 2 little kids bring the knife to me thats wrapped around a pair of hair scissors. i tell him i had no idea id offended her and was explaining to her my system and why i was playing so weirdly. (counting and sitting out always looks weird to those who are uninformed). anyway the man starts crying, gives me a hug, introduces himself as dugglebogey and says that no one in his life has ever apologized to him before and thats why hes so hard and been in prison so much. i dream the 2 kids are his.

so the dream changes, and im back downstairs in the church, long hallways and no one really in here. im looking to talk to the pastor, and then i see his 2 kids and theyre about 10 yrs older this time. (about 18 in age)  im wondering why theyre both still here. i'm getting ready to leave the church, and all of a sudden a motorcycle gang called the MONKEYS (i doubt there really is a group named that) thats known for lots of violence is all coming  down a huge elevated walkway all dressed up in masks like real monkeys. i dream the daughter of this guy called them, to teach me a lesson.

Then i dream the girl grabs my ass, and feels bad, and tells me to not say anything and to come with her, and pretends that i'm her boyfriend, so they wont think im the one theyre after. and we start going past the group on a different moving walkway on the other side. the dream changes and the monkeys are gone, and we are walking thru a rice paddy in north korea,, which by the way is being watched for nuclear launches right now by the US govt for an EMP attack possibly coming from their space station. and i wake up

and now im starving to death sick of soups, and the buffets put away and i cant really afford to be buying food anyway here with comps, i definitely need some solution but i dont know what it is. the only thing keeping me here is the free housing, if i left id no longer have a place to live and no one as old as me will sleep outside if they dont have to. except for a few winos and druggies.

  1. This all seems fairly straight forward.

Who do people go to a church to talk to? God obviously. So you want to talk to God, possibly to get his views on gay marriage. You've often described those who gamble for a living to be "godlike," so not unreasonably your image of God is a VBJ card-counter. He's angry with you because you worship the false idol of the VBJ machine. His departure indicates the death of God and the glorious future in which we live in a secular society free from the oppression of organized religion.

The black girl and the black man represent different elements of your own personality. Your argument with the black girl represents the turmoil of knowing which counting system and charts to use. A deeper analysis is that she represents your id and the dream Tony represents your ego. The black man is your super-ego that is forever trying to stop your ego and id from pissing away your sockroll during blow-ups. This is your ongoing internal struggle that you desperately wish to resolve, hence the touching scene of the ego and super-ego hugging. The scissors and the two kids represent the fact you need a haircut. Cut hair, incidentally, is a castration symbol, reinforced in this instance by pre-pubescent boys. Deep down you appear to recognize that your gambling addiction has emasculated you.

Going downstairs again you find the children are ten years older. So a decade has passed but you are essentially unchanged. It's not the Monkeys that now appear, it's The Monkees. They were known for getting the funniest looks from everyone they met and generally dinking around without any obvious financial means of support.

Enter again the black girl as id who grabs the ego's ass. This is sufficiently disturbing from a post-Freudian psychoanalytic stand-point that I don't feel comfortable elaborating on its significance, particularly when the id wants the ego to pretend the two are a couple.

The rice paddy in North Korea represents SSI. I guess your appeal is going to be approved.

    1. so then obv u feel like WEC is wrong when he says still over 50% of people believe in God, because if thats true, they wouldnt hate me for agreeing with them. obv i was right about 90% of them being athiests, and it not reflecting the true memberdhip of the USA. and wec was wrong in his assumptions about the religious backgrounds of them. u and him cant both be right. either others also believe in God, or they dont and are offended by those who do.

    2. who gives a shit what people believe in. People only hate you because you try to force your beliefs onto others.

Believe whatever you want, just keep it to yourself. Preaching to people is why people hate you for it, not because you believe in it.

    3. Tony you cherry-pick passages of Scripture to reinforce your views which even in the context of US Evangelicals border on the eccentric. It's quite possible to believe in God but also believe that bits of the Bible are plain silly. For example...

"Neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woolen come upon thee." -- Leviticus 19:19

(Some of your shirts are suspect, man.)

"Ye shall not round the corners of your heads." -- Leviticus 19:27

(That means shaving your beard is a sin)

"When men fight with one another, and the wife of the one draws near to rescue her husband from the hand of him who is beating him, and puts out her hand and seizes him by the private parts, then you shall cut off her hand." -- Deuteronomy 25:11-12

(Maybe the knife in the dream had another purpose?)

    4. appmat u are a hypocrite for telling me to keep my beliefs to myself, but not telling people who publicly support gay marriage to keep their beliefs to themself.

    5. if someone tried to pitch a gay marriage proposal to me I'd tell em to shut it as well.

Here's the thing though, those who try to push shit like gay marriage... they push it to the GAY COMMUNITY.

You want to talk about religion? Maybe you should go to church. I guarantee you people in church won't hate you for wanting to talk about god this, and god that. Oh, and I know you're going to come up with some reason why you can't go, like transportation there and what not.. So before you say that.. I'll say this. You can actually go to church online. And there's plenty of internet message boards dedicated to christianity. Hell, they might even be the charitable types and send you some money.

    7. I entirely agree with appmat the hypocrite. While 50% of people may still believe in God, that doesn't mean any of them want to hear about it when they click on a poker blog. You do remember that you have a poker blog here, right? How about we talk some about that? Are you ever going to play again? Not Seals with Clubs, or points poker on Bovada, but real poker. Is this ever going to happen?

    8. Tony says..."u and him cant both be right. either others also believe in God, or they dont and are offended by those who do."

You are wrong Tony. There are lots of people (myself included) that don't believe in God, but are not offended by people that do.

However, I am offended by people who spread their hatred and bigotry by using God as an excuse/shield, like you do.

  8. Interesting dream....I think it represents your mixed feelings about VBJ. The females represent VBJ...at first you like them and then they get you in trouble....the black big brother shows up...the momkeys show up etc...then she grabs you in the ass and gets you in trouble...then she tries to help you get a way out....just like how you think VBJ is doing...but baby it ain't doing that. It just keeps you in this miserable hungry state.

I'd like to see you back to grinding poker although I know you'll say you don't have the bankroll for it. I say you do...if you stay away from all machines...the variance from them is what you can't afford.

    2. No Tony, your variance is a LOT higher at VBJ when you get angry and mash the max bet button and martingale VP to get unstuck at VBJ. Your -900 is a LOTof min buy ins.

  9. To survive an EMP attack you simply need to unplug any electrical connection (simply turning a device OFF does not completely power down most devices). For example, a desktop PC if unplugged will most likely survive an EMP event. An EMP fries electronics by creating a temporary surge that will fry the weakest trace point in the semiconductor chip in an electronic device. Unless you have bought devices that carry a "Radiation Hardened" label they will be toast if plugged in during an EMP event. Odd as this might sound the computer storage medium from the 60's and early 70s called core memory (matrices of small metal donuts interlaced with a wire grid) are impurvious to EMP. Not sure if that is commercially available any more but you might be surprised where it is actually being used....

    Regardless, Lester

    2. There is no excuse to not build SCADAs with radiation hardened components...

      http://www.futurescience.com/emp.html

The instantaneous shutdown of the power grid would occur primarily because of the widespread use of solid-state SCADAs (supervisory control and data acquisition devices) in the power grid. These would be destroyed by the E1 pulse, but could probably be replaced within a few weeks. The greater problem would be in re-starting the power grid. (No procedures have ever been developed for a "black start" of the entire power grid.

    4. There is a significant amount of testing that is involved in deploying an effective EMP weapon. Odds are very low that the Norks have completed any semblance of a complete and valid development program that includes the appropriate levels of testing. Also very unlikely if they flip the switch on whatever EMP weapon they have that it will even produce anything more than an ineffective fizzle.

      Regardless, Lester

  11. Tony,
I know you're going to hate me saying this, and you're going to take it the wrong way,,, BUT a lot of what DaPimp is saying over on RTP is true! Your blog and posts are the financial records we all ask you to keep in your phone or notebook, and it is plain to see you were a success for most of the yr. in Vegas. You had an apartment, you had a bike some of that time, and you seemed much happier playing poker at Hard Rock and Hooters compared to VBJ in Jean. Now you are struggling to pay even your very few expenses you have (no rent because of comps), and feeding yourself like a normal human being. I know you think if someone agrees with one thing he says, we agree with everything he says, but that is not the case. I am just pointing out that you are slowly leaking away the last of your bankroll when at least in poker you have a fighting chance.
And don't give me crap about variance or all the all-ins, because if you play your tight aggressive style, you will be ahead in most of those situations anyway.
GET out of Jean, before it's too late!

    1. The point you're missing is that Jean is where the free rooms, hand outs, and head patting occur.

The point tony is missing is that he can be given all the tools in the world to succeed at VBJ, but they are all for naught if he can't ride the roller coaster of the 1% EV he always crows about.

  12. Tony, you must stop the vile hate language in your posts here, on RTP and on Twitter. It is unbecoming for a REAL Christian to use such language against his fellow human beings. No excuses. 13. Tony - I finally decided to look at this RTP thread.

You basically said that the only good black man is one who dates black women and not white women.

Someone said "What about Asian women?"

    This was your reply.

    TBC:
"i wouldnt mind an Asian woman (or any woman for that matter white or black, even better if she is Mexican, their woman are far better looking,) as long as she isnt grossly obese and wears glasses and looks gay. its just most asian women keep making me repeat what i say because they dont understand english as well and it drives me nuts and sometimes are more picky about things u do. But at least most Asian woman are decent looking compared to whites and blacks."

So why should you not have to stick to women of the same race you are (you claim white)? Why should black guys only date black women but TBC can date any race of woman he feels like and not have to be held to the same accountability?

    I don't see it.

  14. People don't hate you because of your religion.

They hate you because you call people niggers and faggots, and then go hide behind your religion to proclaim yourself a good person. You are not a good person. You're a hateful bigot. You claim you only say those things when you are angry, I say the anger brings your true self to the surface.

You don't have a. Big enough roll to pay for that stuff. And you don't have the smarts or maturity to play a small roll.

Go home. Be with your people. You can't make it gambling. Go home and come up with a plan for the rest of your life.

  22. As Tony's roll has dropped to below 1k the clambering on RTP for him to make a change has grown louder. To the folks who keep suggesting that he pack in and return 'home' I presume they mean to live with his mother. I can't speak for Tony's mom but there are some drawbacks to that plan. Tony's mom has said she doesn't want him to live with her. She already cares for his 20 year autistic son. Can you blame her for not wanting two men in her home with impulse control issues? She and Tony don't really get along. Tony is in his 40's so she is likely at least in her 60's. She lives on a limited income and already cares for another person. Who says she has enough to care for Tony. The folks who keep making this suggestion aren't considering what his moving home would mean to her.

  26. Tony, why the sudden departure from Jean when you had your room paid up for a few more days? Did you go on mega tilt again? Did you abuse staff and other patrons and get 86'ed again? If not did you not think that you could have just stayed in your room for a few more days as it was paid for and grind on line? Or has your internet been cut off because you did not pay your account? So the only way you could get the attention fix that you constantly crave was to go back to somewhere you could get free wifi.

Did you finally martingale your way out of Jean with your constant losses? How did you get from Jean to where ever you are now? What are your plans? Where are you sleeping tonight? Maybe you can beg in Las Vegas and raise enough for a few mash potatoes from McDonalds and get a cheap room in a flop house somewhere?
