how to solve my long and numerous lists of problems that are extra unique

well most of the day was wasted, trying to do what OTHERS wanted me to do but i did learn a few things. one, i learned where theres a motel for $165 plus tax a week in an area that i didnt think was that horrible. not that id be able to afford it unless i had at least double the $753 im still hanging onto. also i learned calling social agencies is pretty much a waste of time, and it seems like the card club on H and Broadway near palomar stop no longer exists. and ive learned theres only 1 bus here that u can make money riding but u have to get 15 points in to get the $10, unlike Pechanga which gives it out upon arrival. lots of shuttles all over the area to the casinos some near apt complexes i wouldnt mind living in had i came here when i still had the large roll. there seemed to be other homeless folks on some of those buses, or sure seemed that way

i wouldve never wasted that large roll had i known how tough rebuilding would be. was winning so much at poker at the time i was wasting the money on machines i didnt think id ever get in this bad of shape. what angers me is that no one understands why im in bad shape and dont realize that it was my machine play instead of the poker play. this is what gives me the determination to stay off the machines in the future.

also, im still grinding online, hopefully on UP soon when omaha is added, and on sites like seals with clubs. but not really any money in there right now, if i had a steady cheap room, id deposit and do it more often. a good place to learn of which online sites to play at, or improve ur poker game, is by using the CardsChat.com guide. they have a pretty good forum too with a wealth of information, that will help my game if i desire. Online poker will continue to be a good way for a micro stakes grinder to grow a roll when it gets down to about nothing.

and it seems that panhandling is easier here than vegas, i spent about 40 minutes asking near a shopping center close to the trolley and the casino shuttle while waiting and made $4 plus some change so maybe about $5.50. the reason people give more here is there are so many mexicans, who are much quicker to give than any other ethnic group

so i went to one social agency today, and it ended up being a waste of time since her supervisor said i wouldnt qualify after she had already promised me a shower and a change of pants. so i never got the shower in. was sent to st vincent d paul downtown, filled with the very type of people i was avoided block after block in a row and all kind of different shelter type places, none of whom did more than feed me, and i waited in line a mile long it seemed to eat just curious to see how good the meals were. a lot more than when i lived at st vincent in toledo years ago once. they claimed they dont do showers so i was lied to again, and they sent me to the neil good day center 2 blocks away. and when i went there they said first i have to go thru intake at 1pm and get one of their ids, and that they stopped giving out showers today at 11. they also said there is no privacy or security for my things while taking the shower. so many people there who looked untrustworthy id be afraid to shower there, what i need is a cheap hotel room by the week and a source of income.

no one should have to stay at a shelter anyway, people should take others into their homes as long as they arent addicted to drugs and stealing. thats what friends and family are supposed to be for. if i had a home, and a friend on the streets, i sure wouldnt expect them to go to a shelter, id ask them to come stay with me. so because i would do that, i feel like i have every right to expect it of someone else. i spent a ton of money years ago giving it away to Lorna and Britni back in the good old days of stars and party poker.

and it seems that panhandling is easier here than vegas, i spent about 40 minutes asking near a shopping center close to the trolley and the casino shuttle while waiting and made $4 plus some change so maybe about $5.50. the reason people give more here is there are so many mexicans, who are much quicker to give than any other ethnic group

i know the amounts i gave away, and also loaned to some guys that screwed me over, were more than what i got in SSI in later years, so ive got no idea why people think i lived off the SSI. i lived off the poker winnings. even if i cant be a winning player today, i certainly was in the past, and what makes it so hard to believe im not anymore.

and ive got a poker hand to post for u. i know i cant afford to sit in the $40 NL game with so few buyins, but i did it anyway here at viejas, did the free $10 bus promo and ended up down $1, u can still lose because u need to earn 15 points. but its a good overlay, ur expected loss is about $3 at about 97% payback and my  machine was better than that.

so i sit down, and wait for the button to pass to save $3, which the whole table knows, in the TIGHTEST game ever at viejas, the only table going, $40-200 NL. within the first orbit, i make it $8 with TT hoping for no calls. one asian calls who seems to be the loosest player from the previous few hands i saw, calls, and then a guy with about $50-75 shoves allin. i think he might just be doing it because of me waiting for the BB to pass, and ive no idea how he plays. so i call and the flop is 93295 i like the board but he has KK. another player said with my stack i got to call the raise, but im not sure. do i need to call my other $32?

and also i was right where the cardroom is supposed to be on H and Broadway in chula vista, but i couldnt find it, but they said it hasnt closed down.

i need to get a room for the night but cant bear to be out $40-50 more after tax. and thats low for this area. i really dont know what to do, if i go back into vegas ill still be homeless. i shouldnt play any game bigger than $20 NL except for the stud game. and i dont really call that bigger.

also today i had a hard time finding electrical outlets in restaraunts but i finally found one. and now my laptop is dying any second again. it really needs a new battery
-------------------------------------------------------------
i ended up taking a room for $45, 2 motels up the street said $39 and none of them were honoring the sign and one of the motels had a bit of an attitude. they were actually charging $50 and $55. the one for $45 with NO sign at all outside was across the street, and she too wanted $50 at first. i told her give me ANY room even one with something broken (but not the lock on the door). its a pretty sketchy area it seems. all the women look like crack whores. i only took it because i wanted to shower when i wake up, and then catch the casino shuttle. i feel i deserve a room since i havent had one in so long. actually not a bad room, seems all the rooms here have a fridge and stove. bigger size than expected. speaking of crack whores, a lot of the women on the bus and at the shelter i ate at for lunch look like crack whores too. even the ones on the shuttle some of them look like they are on meth. sure reminds me of carmen and i wish shed hung out before she went to prison. and this one woman so talkative to this other guy at the bar in the casino i was at earlier grinding the bus promo, she was originally gonna sit by me and i said the wrong thing and i wish i hadnt. at the time i thought she was much uglier but when i got a good look at her id been glad to have her around. especially when i heard her talking to the other guy about just breaking it off with her ex and not knowing many friends. thats what i really need. a woman like claudia i can move in with and live with, and is what all homeless guys should have, it really would solve the issue of homelessness and permanently wipe it out. i sure dont screw people over like an addict would. another reason i took it even after todays drop, (now at only $667) almost $100 down counting the motel, is the fact i might soon be adding $120 to the roll if all goes well. i dont know how to talk to women like other homeless guys do who find someone to move in with since i dont drink and thats the type of women who are willing to do things like that.

and after tomorrow i think i should just get back up north. near oceanside or pechanga, better games than viejas thats for sure. maybe even back to vegas if someone will take me in if i go sign up with the place i was going to that i didnt think would help me get the money i need and instead waste my time. i might feel the safest in a shelter in escondido, but after reading about it online it seems they only take those who they consider mentally ill. KOD told me about this place, wonder if he knows that or talked to them by phone.

yeah id be doing quite well if i had the bankroll to live near one of these shuttles pickup points and play daily. so much nicer than riding city busses in vegas, had i known more, id have moved to cali when i was doing well. no idea why i didnt stay as much as i was winning in cali after hitting the jackpot, moving to reno was dumb when i won about $6000 the 3 weeks i was in cali on the way to reno. wec is right about easy games if u have the bankroll. so loose still i can beat them even though in other places players have gotten better. only viejas is tight, not elsewhere, and not omaha games. HG and others even offer PLO high at lower stakes but still not low enough for me. (100-200 buyin). the pechanga or commerce omaha i can easily beat for 1000 a week if i had enough to withstand the variance so of course id never want to give up poker. id have to be a longterm loser to ever want to give it up, and if that was the case i wouldnt hesitate to either give it up or try to improve my game. which of course i should always be doing anyway. thats the whole reason i post hand histories on blogs. im glad to see readership here has greatly increased, used to be like 1000 views and now more like 2000-3000 per post

What makes it different this time than the time you "cried wolf" in Jean to get to Vegas?

Why should anyone believe that you want their help now when you have lied in the past?

  3. Tony, how much money have you given to men (i.e., not women whom you were tying to get back rubs or kisses on the lips from) who have been in need over the past 10 years?

Just curious whether you have a history of kindness and generosity to everyone in need, or whether our philosophy of giving only applies to women you want something from.

  4. always fantasized about having sex with a woman in the back of the bus, i guess because a guy abused me in this way as a teenager once in ohio after i moved out of moms house in KS. this one girl i thought was gonna fool around with this one guy who i heard talking on the bus, but no, she was talking about the restraints on the bus and seemed like they werent together when they first got on the bus. wonder how much extra id have to pay a hooker to get her to fool around in the dark on a mostly empty bus? or even better, an amtrak train. i often used to jack off on them nearly empty train cars fantasizing about women id seen earlier on the train about 20 yrs ago when young, back when i used to buy hookers.

On the TT vs KK hand...that's a snap fold. You said yourself it was a rock garden (tightest table ever)...think about it..what can you beat?...you are flipping against AK...and a 4-1 dog against most of his range. Put the tens in the muck...save a buyin. Guys like that don't reraise preflop because they want to "make sure no Ace flops" before they get the money in....classic tight passive....no set...no call in this case.

    1. I'm on the fence about it being a snap fold. You do make a point about the rock garden. It's just so hard to do that with a short stack. If there's no 3betting prior and all of a sudden this guy comes along, then - totally - fold. If you've seen 3bet action prior, it's less of an easy fold. I'm circling around to you being right, though, Bill - it's a fold.

Tony - when you're playing the min buy in short stack, do you top off when you go through an orbit or lose some money from the $40 stack you started with? Another question for you: do you buy in for precisely $40 or are you buying in for $100 and "rebuying" when you go broke? The reason I ask is people see you pulling money out of your pocket symbolizes that you're losing, as opposed to always being topped off and having the appearance that you're breaking even or even winning. It's all in the strategy you want to play, but it is a consideration and I'm curious about how you go about it.

    2. I don't think u can take Tony's word on the game condition until further explaination. He has been at the table for less than one orbit, he said he has no idea how the other guy plays. Raise fold TT with 20 BB against unknown short stack is just lighting your money on fire.

      Delete
    3. As I mention below, the 1010 fold is imperative for Tony, but that has always been his leak, loves to get it in preflop for bingo fest like he is a recreational player. Tournaments OK, Cash games, no so much. People who can not afford to lose the money, never.

      Delete
    4. with a short stack, u do get it in more preflop, especially when trying to avoid the drop. ur AK often has a raiser crushed when ur stack is very low. u cant blind out. in late position with only blinds in, u must raise a lot of hands. also pokerdogg wins a lot more at poker than WEC

Tony, you have no basis to say that. I don't know how much WEC has won, and you probably don't know how much either one of us has won. Two equally winning players can disagree on how to play the game in many different spots. I disagree with WEC with regard to short stack strategies, so far as what he has written here, but may be he understand short stacking better than me, I am open to be corrected/convinced by a better player.

    8. Tony says..."i never top off, and when im as bad off as i am now, i flat buy the minimum and play til allin or a win of sufficient amount, unless i get down to like say $8 and decide to like add $10 more."

Tony, you have to figure out a short stategy for your buyin (20 BB in this case), and stick to it. This means you have to top off back to $40 as soon as practical, say before it goes below $30. There is simply no profitable short stack strategy if you are playing with $10 on the table in a 1/2 game.

      Delete
    9. +1 Pokerdogg. You hit on exactly why I was asking about topping off. I think it is unprofitable for you to not double up a full min buy in when you do finally make your hand.

Also, since you have all this free time with a roof over / not over your head, you ought read about short stack strategy on 2p2. There are a few unexploitable (though variance ridden) ways to play. You ought school yourself about them.

      Delete
    10. Hey Pokerdogg, actually I think short stack strategy differs from TBC strategy cause he is not only playing shortstacked, but shortbankrolled, and I think you must introduce other considerations to the mix. The true shortstacked might burn thru a lot of buyins by pushing his stack around to get his quadriple up (or whatever to make money), Tony does not have a lot of buyins to burn thru obviously and needs to truly grind out money.

Should 1010 be an allin in the situation above for a regular shortstacker? I think it might be moreso for a player who has better reading abilities than TBC and a better feeling for the atmosphere of the game. You get to a game and it is early and you make a raise with 1010 and a guy pushes, well a lot of good players lay down until they see the texture of the game....Gamblers and recreational players call awayyyyy.

Also, in regards to POkerdogg and Poker Meister almost all shortstackers I have observed always top off immediately.

In years of watching TBC post hand histories and discuss poker, I just do not think he has any professional poker skills whatsoever (I am far from the only one who thinks so) beyond beating beginners, and it is why he has never moved outside the lowest levels of poker after playing 20 years, and why he needs to give it up and try to improve his life in other ways.

When your biggest win in poker is from a raffle drawing...well.

He is a gambler, not a poker player, my opinion. Just a continued downward projection as he fights to continue on this path.

    11. WEC your posts are the best for many reasons....mostly that you have a real life take on TBC and it is legit.

Of course, he will disagree because he thinks he is a winning poker player. A winning poker player with absolutely nothing to show for it.

  6. On the TT hand, why did u say the table was so tight? You have only been there for less than an orbit. Do you have any idea how the other guy (KK) plays? In absence of any specfic info, it is a standard call in a battle of two short stacks.

    1. Look, when you have no money and you are scrapping it out, and you need to build up your money like a true poker professional, you do not get all your Bingo money in preflop on a terrible hand like 1010 without a specific read, and I mean where you are very sure on your read of the situation. Given all of the circumstances in TBC's case, this is such a friggin easy muck, if it was in my hands I could not get rid of the 1010 fast enough.

When you are trying to build with nothing as a grinding professional, you avoid crapshoot hands preflop at all costs, and you avoid small raises with AA (the only real preflop hand with good odds if you get a lot of money in), and you avoid 3 bets with anything but AA KK when it may commit your bankroll post-flop. The true skillful grinder is building his 'no-bankroll' stash by playing hands post-flop where you make hands and extract value, or have a super read (better be 100%) and make the opponent fold with the better hand(cause he reads you as a tight fucker).

You do NOT go allin preflop with AK, you do not call reraises to your small pocket pairs, you do not call allin reraises with 1010 or JJ even (yeah QQ might be a easy laydown also, even yeah KK if you can pick up AA smell--and I have had some easy KK laydowns). You do not have the money to fuck around with allin preflop bs.

A truly tight player attempting to rock his way to a BR with nothing but time on his hands, is never considering calling that 1010, only exponentially more so if he feels the players are really tight.

FWIW, I have been told that Viejas, once a great place to play, has been a dead poker room with no action, having to do with players leaving due to some management issues. Sycuan is supposed to be the better close-by alternative with Barona good at times.

    2. preflop w/QQ I was new at a table and ran into a BB $50 raise and my reraise all-in ran into AA. But I should further stipulate that I am an action player not a grinder and I was able to laugh off losing $258 on that hand...

PS: it was at an electronic table in Madison WI and that hand was either a doubleup and go back to my hotel or get busted and go back to my hotel cuz I was hatin' the electronic poker table experience....

    5. WEC, all you wrote makes some sort of sense, but in this situation, Tony is playing with a 20BB stack. You DO WANT to go allin preflop with AK in some situations, and with a pair like 10s or better. It depends on the number of limpers/cold callers, style of initial raiser, and your position. These hands don't play well post flop with a short stack (except AA & KK). A lot of the value comes from squeezing out the limpers and cold callers.

Yes, it is a high variance type of poker, that's what proper short stack poker is. And no, Tony doesn't have time on his side. His liferoll is on life support, he needs to take shots and hope to hit a good run. If he tries to grind like you said, waiting for AA/KK with a 20bb stack, or worse raise/fold such stack with 1010, he is just going to get eaten up by the blinds. Actually, in this specific hand, he is in early position with TT, I would just limp with it and look for squeeze opportunity, or else create a limp fest and see a cheap flop. Mucking preflop is also a decent option.

Now, if Tony put $200 on the table, then yes, TT is an instant muck preflop when someone shoves on you and are faced with calling off your stack.

    6. What you say is not wrong Pokerdogg, but it is for TBC. He is not an effective shortstack player. He is reverting to how we found him a few years ago. He sucks at it. He already is not a professional type poker player, but he did much better playing full buyins. I remember the terrible early shortstack days that were similar to martingale. Get off the table with 5 dollar win 10 times, dump a large amount of money in one tilt session.

If you are playing an aggressive type shortstacking game, then getting it all in with AK, 1010, etc bingo preflop is more than acceptable. Last I checked that was not Tonys game, he is a supposed 'rockish' type. If he wants to change into high variance aggressive than that is a whole different ballgame.

      Delete
    7. WEC says..."What you say is not wrong Pokerdogg, but it is for TBC. He is not an effective shortstack player. He is reverting to how we found him a few years ago. He sucks at it..."

Well, he doesn't have money to buy in full. If he is going to play short stacked, then he should learn how to play it properly. Sure, he should and can play a rocky short stack style to protect his BR, but he should then fold or limp with 1010 in EP, not raise/fold to another short stacker.

At this point, he is homeless, with an almost non-existant BR. I think his best chance of success is to play an aggressive short stack, go big or go home type idea. Teaching him to play weak tight short stack is just going to bleed him slowly till he has nothing left.

He has 4 full buyins right now, if we ignore his outstanding bills. I doubt very much he can play properly (or to the best of his ability) if he puts 1/4 of his liferoll on the table.

You weren't able to make a $1k/week in Vegas without gifts from very generous people. How are you planning to do this in SoCal now that the gifts seem to be drying up?

FYI: Long Beach has a Multi-Service center where you can shower, make a phone call, get a change of clothes and it is close to a Goodwill. There is bus service that will get you close to Hawaiian Garbage or up the 710 fwy to Bell Gardens/Commerce.

    4. I took a quick peek and without the priceline bidding thing the prices showed up at best in low $40 ranges for just a few one star properties in any of those locations.

You have nothing to lose by doing $25 bids on any given day. I have bid $24 on properties that I knew the express deal price was $35-38 and had my bid accepted. That was not in California though. But it was for an Extended Stay America and I was able to cook myself some dinner in those nice little kitchens ESA has.

    6. Ur higher prices might be from doing a same day or short notice search? If you try a bid 3-4 days in advance it can be specific to one area in the greater metropolitan San Diego area more like down to the suburb area that you know you are bidding on. I had noticed one $42 property northeast of temecula but the Vagabond Inn (Hemet) seemed far away on the map. Those kind of properties you can go about $15 lower than the Priceline List View for one star properties. It might take more than one try to get a lowball bid accepted. I get warnings that say something like "Whoa that bid is pretty low are you sure?" to which I say outload OH HELL YES and then click on submit...

he isn't shoving AK/AQ on a 9 high flop. He either has an over pair to the TT or flopped a set.

I am check folding any flop that doesn't have a ten in it.

The beauty of these nits is when you flop the set and he has an overpair....he simply will not fold an overpair and will stack off every time.

    1. all the money went in BEFORE the 9 hi flop. it went in preflop

    2. Yes, "Old man Coffee" constitute a read on the player's style, Tony in this case offered zero info on the guy. We don't know if he is old or young, dressed conservatively or flashy, played/raised every pot or hasn't played a hand, asian or otherwise (which apparently makes a difference), we don't know.

      And, money went in preflop.

    3. Ahh..ok..I didn't know the money went in preflop.

I thought you made it $8 to go and he smooth called..then shoved the flop.

Absent a strong read there....TT could be a call.....you are racing most of the time though.

With only 20 min buyins....play short stack strategy is going to be tough. It's a high variance game with almost no post flop play. You should definitely top up at $30 though...playing anything less than that with 1/2 blinds is burning money...plus you need to get max value from your premiums...and be able to shut out the endless line of limpers in front of you...you can't do that with $8 on the table.

    4. How is he racing most of the time, at best, most times he can pray for a race, but people pushing in these games preflop are not usually holding AJ AQ AK, nor 99 88 77, they usually have you beat (JJ QQ KK AA), unless you guys are playing different games than me.

      Delete
    5. I've seen people shove AK,AQ,AJ and even KQ in a 1/2 game...it's not uncommon.

      Delete
    6. hmm, wec claims the action in cali is bad and loose, how can he not be aware of all the people shoving with hands u dominate with AK (aq aj etc) although i dont like 10 10 much, the limp reraise or fold a much better idea.

      Delete
    7. topping off makes no sense to me, because im told a 20 BB stack is the hardest to play and a true shortstack strategy is 10 BB, not 20. so i try to have $20 if i go below it i addon instead of topping off.

      Delete
    8. Who told u this, and are they talking about onlinr or live cash games? There are differences due to higher rake, raise sizes, VPIP%, hands/hr, tips, etc. The optimal short stake size may be more like 15-20 BB for live play, not sure, but I definately think it is more than 10BB.

To make things simpler, u should figure out the strategy to play the min buy (20BB) in this case, and stick to it. This means topping up. I doubt u have the ability to adjust your play optimally as you stack flutuates between 20 to 4BB.

  14. Please tell me you are joking when you say it angers you that no one realized it was machine play that was killing you.
All I have heard since day 1 of AVP involvement in your story is advice to "Stay off those Machines"

Anyway you knew best and here we are.

    1. well from the comments im receiving, no one seems to understand the difference between machine play and poker play, they think it was ALL play that killed me, and lump it all together as gambling, which i disagree strongly with, i think the poker benefitted me and the machine play killed me. i wouldnt gamble at all if this wasnt the case. and hey i am off the machines now, and wec is right about cali games, which i why i felt i can recover.

    2. Hey Tony, remember me, Pokerdogg? Me and at least dozens of other readers have adviced you to quite the machine play and work on your poker, for years and years now. You don't remember that? Really?

However, I have come to the realization that your addiction issue runs very very deep. My advice for you to get counselling and work on controlling your addiction, thus allowing you to function as a poker player, I don't think it is ever going to work. You either lack the capacity, or won't face the truth. I feel sad for you, to have watched you ending up where you are after these several years. I hope you can someday see the light and realize the good advices you have been given and try to improve your situation.

Poker may have benefitted you from a monetary point of view, but from helping you grow as a person, I think it has significant negative effects.

    3. Couldn't agree with Pokerdogg more. Oh, on TBCs first online appearances at PTP in 2006 (and at 2+2), the overriding theme was stop playing machines and giving women money.

      Delete
    4. so if staying off the machines and only grinding poker wouldve worked THEN, why wouldnt it work NOW?

the one difference is i have no roll now, with a roll, it would work.

surely u agree the loose $3-6 $4-8 omaha8 games are beatable for the $1000 a week i posted, but with the Kill making them so expensive, what do u say is the min roll needed? i know i play them right, a lot better than i play NL holdem, but its the variance that kills me.

    5. i am amazed i still got left what i have, thank God for that extra $120 i got.

    6. So the ad was worth 120 - not bad.

Scared mode Tony means no machines for now.

As soon as you feel you have a decent roll you will hit machines again. You are nowhere near cured of this and only avoid them because you are in scared mode.

    7. "so if staying off the machines and only grinding poker wouldve worked THEN, why wouldnt it work NOW?"

Because in the years since, with your many discussions of hands and how you play poker and your BR skills-tilt sessions etc, it is obvious you are not good enough to play poker for a living and you are just a gambling addict. And it will continue to keep you on the streets, and it will keep you broke forever. Almost everyone here knows that, you have something wrong in your brain to see it or listen to the overriding masses, INCLUDING YOUR CLOSEST FRIENDS. You are so sick in the head you would rather live on the streets. Pretty sad for someone who claims to be smart. Now, you are proving to many you are far from smart at all.

  15. Played 1/2 at Green Valley tonight, since I had a couple hours and it was on the way home. An uneventful night for the first couple hours until our table broke.

I was on my way to cash out when I saw Gavin Smith playing in a 1/2 game right behind us - a seat had JUST opened to his left (I'm not sure I would have been brave/foolish enough to sit on his right), so I moved to it with about 180 remaining of my 300 buy in. This was only the 2nd time I've ever played with a "big name" pro, but I tried not to chat him up too heavily.

I did ask him how his Series went this year - he said he final tabled the stud 8 tourney won by "The Mouth", but overall it was pretty much a break even series. Seemed very pleasent and amiable to me - told a few stories. He took a decent pot off me, when I let out w AJ on an A/K/5 board - he was my only caller. Turn was a 4 and he donk bet into me. I called. We both checked river and I thought I was going to be good since he didn't bet - he had 5/4 for turned two pair. Still - gave me a story to tell :-)

  16. good news. New roll $855. (includes paypal on way to bank). and yesterdays $70 win at poker. Bad news, no room again last night, and worse, i lost my phone charger, now my phone is totally unusable, and i still have no glasses. had no way to access the net since early yesterday afternoon. woke up about an hour ago outdoors, near where the shuttle dropped me off. finally came across a restaraunt with electril outlets, in a mexican bakery. so ive been here over 30 minutes, and laptop is still only 32% charged, and no way to charge phone at all. i am wondering if i left it in yesterdays hotel room i checked out of in the morning?
i need to i think get my bag, (checked on it yesterday and its still there) and go further north

  18. LOL, you should consider yourself lucky you still have phone service if you haven't made a payment in over two and a half months. I was late sending my payment for the month in once and after 5 days they suspended mine and I've been a customer for over 12 years. And before you start with your phone is more expensive and that's why you have been able to keep your service, believe me I have the top of the line phones. So you have gotten a break on that. You can go by a phone store and buy a new charger. You should at least pay what is past due. Your bankroll improved that much the last few days. Did you post your bill so someone would pay it for you. If you are going to be a success as you claim you want to be then you have to take responsibility for your own bills. Thats part of being able to be called a success. If you have to rely on others to pay your bills, you aren't a success.

  20. TBC Update -

1.) Phone is dead and he lost his charger.
2.) I sent Tony (3) pairs of reading glasses a few weeks ago, and he's lost them all.
3.) He says he won't have internet access for the next 24 hours so no updates.

  21. The saga continues. Tony gets lots of advice he chooses to ignore. He feels it is possible to grind out $ 1000 a month playing 1-2 no limit. I know lots of retired guys who win $ 50 or $ 100 a day and go home. The secret is if they lose their buy in they quit for the day. They also have a paid for house and a pension that comes in every month. This means they can take a day, week, or month off and do not have to play any poker. I guess this means they are not really grinding poker like TBC is trying to do. It is way to hard to be worried about where are you going to sleep or eat and play your best poker. I will be interested to see where TBC ends up.

    2. Because work isn't fun. Work doesn't let you come and go as you please. Gambling is fun. Gambling let's you set your own hours. Tony doesn't care about long term income, he cares about today's net result. He's happy losing $1,000 on Sunday as long as he makes $100 Monday through Saturday. That's winning 6/7 days, don't you get it?
