why am i still here?

down to only $5400 after getting that bovada check even, and buying new phone and laptop batteries and the phone still works horrible and dies even with a new battery and charger, now im being told the charger might not be much good since it got bent. also i cant find any space on it and it keeps not updating applications it always insists on updating that i never use and cannot delete to free up space, because they come with the phone. about 90% of the memory is applications i cant delete and the remaining 10% is applications i desperately want and need, such as bravo live, etc. wish i knew more about tech savvy stuff.

and i lost over $400 today, mostly all on poker. lost $260 in the $1-3 at the wynn to start with. then went to the V, and lost over $200 more on the good VBJ and was stuck about $500. went to the bad VBJ machine (old binions and wynn kind that allows 7 hands at once and pays even money on BJ). there i won back all but $80 of the VBJ loss. played so long i got $15 in slot free play. went in the poker room and lost all day long, over $200 worth. then went back to the VBJ, and won back about $100 more on the BAD machine. why i won there when i shouldnt i dont know. played omaha8 for about 45 minutes and lost over $30 in it too.

a lot of the people playing at the V are regulars, but i imagine its that way in ANY poker room. People like a room, and it wins their business. and im down to $34 on UP, and im still counting that as part of my roll, unlike my $24 left on bovada.

still undecided how to leave vegas, where to go, and where to settle down to live cheap longer term. got to be where i feel safe of course, and where poker is available at the games i want to play and the buyins i want. Benny is coming into town this weekend for 3 days and i could possibly return to reno with him, if i was still around but id need to get another place to live.

i just dont update the blog often enough anymore--and none of the VBJ places were really suitable except for Jean as far as free rooms, empty tables without people around that much, and beatability. im sure theres places as dead in people as Jean and the river palms on the VBJ in the middle of the night, but who knows where that is.

One thing im really grateful for is my tooth hasnt bothered me too much--im really going to dread that someday. also it seems amtrak fares have increased, and bus fares too--the nice lux bus to la is $84 and its always sold out, unlike the much cheaper daily $25 and $30 ones. (megabus, mexican bus, gotobus and greyhound ones.) its $249 to KS tomorrow instead of the $158 one way of 3-4 months ago.

in a way id like to stay in vegas and rent a nice luxury place of $200-300 a week, but i fear id lose my cash on the VBJ if i did. id like Benny to teach me to beat the one he knows of, and id like a replacement of the one in Jean. the ones in Vegas now just arent cutting it. so im pretty sure the ones in Laughlin wouldnt either--they sure dont have the dealers angels kind. was also invited to appear on todd witteles radio show but didnt see how that would assist.

  1. Tony, I was shocked to see your update. Yes you don't update your blog near enough anymore. It appears that now that you only update your blog once a week that you just write lots and lots of random though but it is a little hard to follow. So maybe I will just pose you a couple of questions.

    1. Even though it was the title of your blog you did not answer the question. Why are you still in Vegas? If you made plans to meet your family why have you not left yet? Imagine how much better off your would be if you followed through with your commitment.

    2. Yes the V has lots of regulars but also LOTS of tourists. Why do you not find the tourists who are in town for a convention and are looking to donkey off the companies per diem. It is easy money.

    3. Did you really ask why you won on "dem bad machines" when you should not have won? You know the answer. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

    4. Can you describe the feeling you got when you won the 100 on the bad machine? Was it the same or similar feeling as when you won 100 playing poker?

    5. Will you dedicate an entire blog entry to what happened at Gold Strike when you got banned? I still don't know what happened. I wish we could have talked about it when we met up in Vegas.

    Good Luck.

  2. Tony ,you had $1,700 to your name a few weeks ago. Now you have over $5,000. Stop using money as an excuse to justify gambling EVERY FUCKEN DAY OF YOUR PATHETIC LIFE. Be a man FOR ONCE, and keep your promise to your family and go home to see them.

What makes a $200-300 weekly "nice luxury place" different than the bottom of the barrel weekly dives you have stayed at up until now?

Are we talking about a nice pool and hot tub? Daily complimentary happy hour each evening with free drinks and appetizers? HDTV big screen in your room? 100+ cable channels with free HBO/Showtime/etc?

    1. Okay I own a couple of places in Turnberry Towers. I rent one out and live in one. If anything qualifies as luxury, this is pretty close. So when I rent my place out, I'm collecting about $2500 a month in rent for a two bedroom; the 1 bedrooms here rent for around $1600 to $1800 a month. First and last month, cleaning deposit, security deposit for the keys and a credit background check. I have two tennis courts, two pools, a workout room, a putting green and coffee made for me every morning in the lobby. There is no way in God's green earth I'm renting to someone who can't pass a background check for week to week rent.

What you're asking for is like looking for Dom Perignon in the boxed wine section of CVS.

    4. You are really good at avoiding answering questions or dealing with people who confront you on your b.s. How do you know how things work in the real world of renting a place to live when all you've done is live at casinos or Vince's place? Seriously? Are you really that out of touch with reality? Tell me, who is going to be willing to rent a "luxury place" on a week to week basis without deposits or a background check?

Your only response to people that you do not agree with is "fuck you". You may claim to be Christian and be religious, but honestly, don't you think your attitude towards your fellow man and atrocious language have earned you a place other than in heaven with Lord Jesus Christ? What do you think about how God sees how badly you've treated your family and how badly you've behaved during your brief tenure here on earth? You don't think you're screwing up by ignoring your family and breaking your promises?

Where are you playing tonight? I'm going to come and take your money and donate it to a charity here in town.

    6. You can easily get a room in a really nice house in Vegas for $500 a month. Look on Craigslist. It's a renters dream. Along bus routes, that can get you to the strip. Just stay away from the Video Black Jack man. Just play $1/$2 rinse and repeat. You won't win every session, and that is okay. Just bet/fold bet/fold bet/fold for fat value. That is all $1/$2 is.

  5. Tony:

I think the bigger question is "What do I want to do with my life?"

Do you want to have stronger relationships and more meaningful connections? If so, I would suggest going home to be with family. You can still continue your on-line relationships with me and other people.

Do you want to go where the best poker is? If so, I'm still not convinced you're not in the right place. I know you feel California is better, so perhaps that's the place for you.

I fear that what you're really doing is, once again, trying to run from your problems. You can't run away from an addiction to gambling, say it's only about machines, and seek safety from your addiction. You will, as you have in the past, dump money in the pit games - remember, you don't have a machine addiction, you have a gambling addiction. I know you're nowhere near ready to give up poker, so I won't suggest that, but I do think believing you can run away from "gambling" and still practically live in casinos, simply is delusional.

I think you should call those #'s you find at every casino and try to get help. Or, try the individual counselor route again.

    1. i would like to see family--but i dont want to waste a large portion of my lifes savings doing so (such as more than 10%--or even 5% is too much). i dont think PPP would either if he was as poor as me. i am still at the point where i need every dime i have to survive. i won $62 earlier playing VBJ, but lost more than that losing my whole $34 on UP that was left, and paying close to $80 in bus tickets and motel costs. but as long as i dont bet too much on VBJ my total wins or losses will not be over 5% of my net worth. all my problems come when i chase the loss, and bet up to 10-20%. and thats when i get too angry and mad, and get myself into trouble. i dont get as upset with the smaller losses. and i do want to settle down where i can live very cheap (and safe--i didnt feel safe around the stratosphere much) and walk not bus it to the poker tables. id never settle down in ks. if u really wanted me to see a counselor u could ask unlv if rachel still works there and would take me back on as a client.

i need counseling, but not for gambling, for all my anger bitterness and resentment i carry towards certain people. People such as Claudia and Britni. id be very rich if it wasnt for wasting my chance of success on the good old days of online poker, by hanging out with lorna or britni so much and always giving them the lions share of the money. especially lorna the first 1-2 yrs and britni the final year til she disappeared in 2011. her email address is now closed.

    2. Tony, stop blaming your refusal to see your family on money. It's complete bullshit. How much does a bus/train to Kansas cost? And, once you get home, you will live for free for week or so, and won't be paying hotel expenses. So, the cost will actually all even out.

      Quit being a fucken dick

    3. "if u really wanted me to see a counselor u could ask unlv if rachel still works there and would take me back on as a client."

Tony - it's exactly because I want you to see a counselor, and get effective counseling, that I won't do the leg work for you. When this becomes something you value enough to devote energy to, then you'll do so. Until that time, there's no point in me/anyone doing it for you because you'll simply toss it away. Like last time. Or like any of the other times people set things up for you.

The last time you visted the UNLV counselor for, what, 2 sessions? 3? Then you decided she hadn't fixed you yet so she was clearly a waste of effort. The last time I went to the lawyer with you, you ignored his advice and didn't follow through.

People doing things for you doesn't have an impact. You feeling as if you're finally ready to get help is the only thing that's really going to work.

All that said, I'm still rooting for you.

this is britnis old business, she was honest about being very active on ebay years ago, selling clothes up in portland out of storage facilities. im seriously wondering if she was as honest with her name. searches for her old email address are banned for some reason on major sites, as if she asked for this.

the name she never wanted me to have, (name on the bank acct i sent to which she said was some elderly woman friend, was Ruthe Catherine Pohl of portland). now that name is valid as u can see by the enclosed links. theres one whose 69 which is an elderly woman in portland and one whose 33, who i suspect could be here. also a death record comes up, but dont know whose. for all this info, u have to PAY for it. and im afraid of being defrauded with false charges if i try to pay for it, and that its a scam. anyone know of the trustworthiness of this? also im afraid of being given useless info. would spend any amount to know i could talk to her in person again. same as id pay good money for locations of dealers angels i dont know about. i found out today by emailing them however, the one i learned about in arkansas is actually a shufflemaster one instead.

    https://www.beenverified.com/subscribe/view_report_now
    http://www.obituary.us.org/landing/cart.php

i talked to Britni for years, and i told her i wanted to see her more, and she wanted me to spend time with my family and son (because her family meant so much to her and she was around them all the time--and the fact i wasnt kind of bothered her). when she disappeared, i felt anger and resentment, and decided to punish her by withholding my love from my family to teach her a lesson. i need Gods help, and a counselors help, to get over that and love my family. kind of the same with Claudia too. but if no one i truly love and care for can love me--i am in turn unable to truly care back for those who care the most for me--seems to me to be fair and be a just karma. thats why i cant feel any emotions that i should feel.

i never had a dad--lots of kids dont--so its hard to see why one is important. especially when one is no longer a child anymore. i always thought when kids get older they want their family not around. why did Britni care so much for her family, and it was such a large family. i think one of her cousins worked in marketing at planet H too. no idea who.

only serious counseling, or a touch from the masters hand, Jesus Christ, lord and savior of the universe, or hearing from britni, could ever heal this rift. if i visit my family--i feel like im someones punk--and giving into being treated emotionally unfairly. i feel like whats good for the goose is good for the gander.

and i cant afford it to be honest--i need to spend 100% of my time trying to earn money--just to survive daily and not be on the streets. no one here has ever been poor enough to understand. mainly a bunch of spoilt rich people as readers. no one has ever worked as hard as me for their money since they had a job instead of having to hustle for it.

  7. PPP telling me to take time off and not gamble, is like me telling him to stop working as an attorney if he was in desperate need of money. no difference at all. time is something we all have very little of, and hes essentially asking me to waste it on nonproductive activities that arent even fun or relaxing and enjoyable. the only really enjoyable relaxing time i had was when going for movies or walks with claudia. maybe i should put up some dating ads and try to hang out with a woman before i leave town. fear i need another haircut and shave before id do that though and thats another huge expense.

    1. Tony, you are right, time is something we all have very little of. That is why you need to find a why to enjoy life, enjoy the lord and savior, and stop worshiping a false god (money). Your whole life revolves around gambling and money.

You know me, I will not give you advice on gambling as you are already a gambling "genious". But here is a bit of advice when it comes to women. For someone like you, in your situation if you want a relationship with a women you need to spend the time to find the right women. Slow down, don't be in a hurry! Because if you rush it, the only thing you will find is a prostitute.

  8. actually i basically have took the day off gambling, mostly all day ive just been in my room playing games online--and typing away. but im still going to play soon. also need to eat too, so i must go.

i feel like its wrong to waste time on worthless ventures--but the Bible claims God took off work on the 7th day and said to rest. not to go to church, but to rest and take a day off. so maybe its acceptable to do so--although it feels so foolish to me, since id think every minute of my day should be focused on giving me a better emotional quality of life--which can only be achieved by winning money gambling, and not by taking trips needlessly.

  9. Tony:

I saw your post on your other site and knew your readers here would want a look. Some classic Tony coming out here:

"i booked my ticket--and then missed todays tour bus. God im pissed. so i had to book a room for tonight, and ill be catching the tour bus tomorrow. after multiple instances by different employees telling me the wrong spot to stand outside the casino for it, not knowing if i stand in the front or the back entrance, not being able to understand the instructions over the phone where to stand, and the valet guys giving me wrong and conflicting info, (depending on whether they were in the front or the back) a security guard finally showed me where to stand but it had came long time ago, but i spoke on the phone with them, and im all set to catch it tomorrow morning.

so at least im not out the money for the ticket. all im out is $37 (including tax and fees) for tonights room. i was hoping to be long outta NV today, but i guess ill have one more day to lose a ton of money walking back and forth between the wynn and the V.

also the ticket can be rescheduled online, like if i want to catch it up the street at a different casino, or a different time. that does include a small additional fee.

and im pissed that every night, the maids never throw away the drink cups from mcdonalds, and always shut the light off, forcing me to walk into a pitch dark room. that should be illegal everywhere its a serious safety hazard, and is only done because of fucking democrats and their global warming. shutting off lights is so stupid, i never shut mine off when i sleep. and anyone should be able to tell that u dont want old dirty cups from mc ds. especially when u have 2-3 from other days already.

maybe if the maids were of the right background they wouldnt be so stupid. my mom once worked as a housecleaner. i doubt any white person would be hired who applied for that job nowdays. i didnt like being dirt poor growing up due to my mom having a hard time being in poor health and jobs hard to come by that paid well. so i guess thats why i am as i am today. She feels like racism is wrong and evil, and i for the life of me dont understand why she isnt bitter. a normal person would be, they wouldnt forgive like God wants us to.

and im sure herbie is full of shit about knowing of a dealers angels i dont know of in vegas. only ones not at mgm places are the ones i know of palazzo and V. and its probably a lot higher than $1 min just like the $5 ones here in vegas if its even true.

be aware ive offered money on paypal multiple times in other forums for info as to where to find dealers angels machines i dont know of, but before id pay id first confirm it with the casino. no ones ever heard of one other than the few in the area--so cutter is full of shit as herbie. and i no longer know if i can trust benny, or if he wants me in reno. u see he wouldnt commit as to whether he would drive me there this weekend."

I think you missed a big opportunity there. Your chance to increase many serious poker players awareness of just who the infamous 'TBC' is. Not sure how many people that you think know who you are, but it is not near as many as you think.

My pure guess would be well over 75% would know Todd Witteles, and well under 10% would know Tony Bigcharles.

    3. You would be shocked how many times I hear Tony's name come up while playing. It's usually from dealers or former dealers who are playing at the time and it's usually about stuff from years ago. Oddly non of them seem to know about his blog or the endless threads on forums. Just as strange I've never heard a dealer in the box chime in or even act like they know what is being talked about. This happened has recently as a about a month ago.

    4. Agree. I think a lot of poker players/dealers know who tony is especially anyone who lives in Vegas. One could argue more people know tony that Todd. I wouldn't be surprised. 13. so i ended up winning about $600 at the wynn, and at one point was up over $730. made a bad bluff at the end and jumped in the cab home.

bought food, and now eating and then sleeping. more sleep will be gotten on tomorrows bus. on the bluff, i had 23 clubs, called the limp in the sb. a guy makes it $12 i call. flop comes 556 with one club. i check, he bets $12, i call. turn comes 7 hearts for 3 hearts on the board and i check, he checks so i think hes weak. river comes 9 of spades. i bet $86 he goes allin and since i have 3 hi, i must fold.

    2. there might have been other callers preflop, but he almost never bluffs and when he finally does he does it the way people used to years ago- overbet the pot on bluffs and bet small when they are begging to get called on the river.
