an emotional roller coaster--its awfully hard to keep ur cool at times when ur getting fucked in the ass.

and more so, when u have a tooth bugging u that u know will cost far more than the $80 one guy claims (unless u find a free clinic for the homeless where they wont care if they do a good job and if u are properly numbed beforehand) and u know u dont have the money because it will all be needed for future rent over the next few months. id need like $8000 before id really have the $400 or so this will end up costing to have what i assume is 1 wisdom tooth removed.

Benny was going to help me find a clinic, but not only did he never come thru with the girl who reads my blog and wanted to meet me, hes pissed at me because i played games i shouldnt play, and thinks im hopeless and not worth mentoring. so ive not heard back from him today since.

anyway i started the day off poorly, losing $100 on the promotion in live BJ, but ended up winning that back in poker later (along with $31 on a game i shouldnt have played). i was up $101 at one point when things suddenly went haywire. and by the time i left the room with NOTHING at all to cash out, and went back to do the promotion one final time with a new coupon, i was down $250 for the day instead of being ahead, and man was i fucking pissed. 2-3 hands cost me ALL my stack.

first bad beat, i had QT suited and the flop comes Q89 with a lot of us in the pot for a decent pot. i bet $12 and theres 2 callers. turn comes J, old man shoves, and im praying he dont have KT. i call, for well over $100, and original raiser calls, and hits his flush on the river. hes shortstacked, so me and the old man still get back about $60 or so each.

second bad beat i have 44 and the flop is J74 with 2 spades. the original better whose last to act bets the flop for $15 and i only call. turn comes 7, i check he bets $40 and i made it $80 hoping for a call assuming hes got very few outs. he calls after a long thought, river comes 7 to counterfeit me and im sick, as he wins with runner runner JK.

so, thouroughly pissed now, i shove the final $80 or so into the pot over multiple $6 callers. original raiser calls with KK and one other guy whose got about $35 left. flop comes 278 with 2 diamonds and i have AJ diamonds, giving me hope, but i missed. the KK lost the main pot, other guy had 888

so then i went and managed to get a coupon to do the promotion 1 more time. lucky for me i got back over $1000 from the $750, got very lucky to have a shoe all to myself, and then tipped the dealer the $10 i promised him, and reduced my bet to $15-20 for the rest of the shoe. and had i not lost 4 splits and double downs on the final bet, id have left the casino with over $1150 instead of $989.

so i only lost $11 today, but still that dont pay my rent, or fix my tooth and i feel like im being put thru the emotional wringer all day long. i think Benny would be able to relate, and is why i consider him a friend, i wonder who else here can relate other than Herbie.

  1. Its hard to relate to you Tony, when you had the opportunity to do something about your tooth on several occasions in the past month, but you haven't done a damn thing about it except whinge. Your fault, no one elses, so stop blaming the world and get off your fucking ass and do something about your tooth.

    1. never had the money to do something about it, and dont have any recommendations from people in reno as to which dentist they would use, and no one can help me on this but people in reno. anyway i was always about $4000 short of what i needed to put out the $400 or so. otherwise id have got it done when the work probably wouldve been simpler to do.

    2. Tony your answer is bull shit and you know it. The cost of not going to the dentist and putting it off will be far greater than taking care of it when your sweet roll was in the 5K vicinity. Also, you can tilt off a boat load of Benjamins of a fucking machine you have no reason to be playing but you cant fix your tooth? Brother that is fucked up.

    3. You had the money less than a month ago when you had $6000, but you went and donked of half of it into Dealers Angels machines. That tooth is going to kill you Tony, and then the Rapture won't save you from going to hell. Because by not getting that tooth fixed you are poisoning yourself and committing suicide, and that is one big mother sin..

    4. well some Christians (me for 1) believe in eternal security (and then a lot dont). which means u dont ever lose ur salvation. u see Jesus not only died for ur past sins u repented of long ago when u first got saved, but also all of ur FUTURE sins. so when we backslide by sinning, we are STILL saved. so yes id still go to Heaven. u go to Heaven not by ur works, but by believing God is telling the truth when he says certain things are wrong, and about who he IS.

did u know when i was about 6 i had a bad problem with my eye, and God removed the problem and healed me? there are still miracles that take place in this world, and still people being healed. now i know the odds are remote, but there was always a possibility the tooth couldve got healed, but its not likely, so i am looking around for dentists. am waiting for recommedations from locals. i dont want someone who will do a POOR JOB. i cant just go to a dentist without being 100% sure its a good dentist first.

  4. Um, I went to the oral surgeon to get started on MY #31 which I believe is the same tooth TBC has issues with. I need a full extraction and post implant. Grand total is $3900. This by the way does not include the cost of a crown. If I thought that I could get the necessary work done for a measly $400, I'd be all over it like white on rice.

  5. Tony, no one is buying your bullshit, so you might as well stop peddling it. You had over $6,000 a mere few weeks ago. You could have easily gotten your tooth taken are of it you prioritized it over your gambling addiction. Also, as I mentioned yesterday, and as you conveniently ignored, your mom offered to have it examined for you on her dime. While she might not have paid to have the situation remedied, had you chosen to get your tooth looked at, you'd at least know whether or not it is merely a nuisance or a real danger to your overall health.

These are all decisions you have made . . .

    1. well i didnt feel like $6000 was enough--its not really enough to make a living playing poker with either (but as always throughout life ive done what i could with what i have.) and i didnt feel like it was right to have mom pay for it--so thats something good about me--and i knew i couldnt afford to pay for it either, because that was after id lost $2000. and at the time, it only needed an advil about 1 time a week, now its about 1 a day or 2

    2. Regardless whether this is the case, you should realize that your predicament is the result of your choices. Must people who need money would choose to work. Many people have to work more than one job to take care of their needs (or, often, the needs of family). You have chosen never to work, based on an array of excuses. In the past, you claimed that in addition to being unemployable, you were putting gods gift to work by playing poker. But, now, you are hardly playing poker. presumably because of what people have represented to you on RTP, you seem to being trying to be an AP (whatever the fuck that truly us) and are playing mainly machines and hunting for promos. Again, this is your choice. But if it doesn't work out for you, you will have no one to blame but yourself. And, if past is prologue, it will not work out for you. You have no more money today than you did years ago. You are in no better position financially, emotionally, or health-wise today than you were years ago. Any notion that you are someday going to be rich from gambling is nonsense. It is never going to happen. But, again, you can continue down this path if you'd like. It's your choice. Just don't expect sympathy from others.

And P.S. - the fact that Benny doesn't want to gamble with you may be similar to the reason I did not want to lay poker with you in vegas last summer. Because your circumstances are depressing. And it's not fun to watch you play poker or any other form of gambling. You basically have a sickness, and, at least personally, it's just not fun to be around you when you are falling victim to it . . .

  6. i just looked at a tooth map, and i have a strong suspicion its tooth #1. anyway, went to a different poker room, and won about $100, so new roll is $3759, a little bit over what i came to reno with. rents due soon too.

Enclosed are links i came up with about dental possibilities.

    http://www.renofamilydental.net/?page_id=15
    http://www.yelp.com/biz/kwong-dental-care-reno

how does anyone feel about these guys--or any other possibilities? dont i have any readers living in reno?

im scared of having a bad job done (remember Nadic dental services in Vegas) and getting badly ill cause of it. i want to make sure the job is done RIGHT the first time this time, and thats why i wont go to a dental school, or a free clinic. those guys are NOT experienced enough, and basically dont care if they do a good job or not (or if they numb u good enough) like a REAL dentist would. how difficult is this for those to understand recommending those options?

why do all the ads for wisdom teeth say for removing 4? i dont need all 4, some have already been removed. i only need 1 i think, unless the tooth next to it is also rotted out.

    1. A large part of the issue is that you don't follow through on things. As a result, your "readers" are likely less inclined to go out of their way to try and help you because they feel like they are only wasting their time.

You can probably call some dental places yourself and get some prices or general information over the phone. But you will likely have to go in for an exam to get an actual estimate, because no dentist is going to be able to tell the extent of the issue until he sees you.

      Delete
    2. Tony, stop thinking about going with ads and go with REFERRALS. Who does Benny see for his dental needs? Talk to some locals in Reno (you were better off in Vegas with LV Perio by the way) and find out where THEY go instead of what is being advertised.

      Delete
    3. Tony, as people have pointed out many times, those without money do not get the same choices as those with money. You resent people who have money, but in most cases those people have paid dearly for it -- by spending years in school, years developing a business, years developing a professional career.

Koala has already mentioned that you were up to around $6,000 then donked off thousands. Triple P has already mentioned the offer your mom made, where at least you would know what was wrong. Now you complain about not having the money, but not wanting to get the services that are available for a person with no money. Social services are set up to help people like you, but you won't comply with their restrictions and procedures.

So ... we go back to one of the focal issues of your life: you won't do what you need to do to get services, then expect that somehow you should only receive the best. Your sense of entitlement is amazing.

And so it continues, much like the wonderful children's song sung by Lamb Chop: "This is the song that doesn't end. Yes, it goes on and on my friend. Some people started singing it not knowing what it was, And they'll continue singing it forever just because . . .

And, as s.i. always says, I wish you the best.

  8. You really just need to go into the dentist office or call and ask for an appointment. Possibly they would not be able to do the work in the same day. Your daily living doesn't stop just because of lack of funds. Get it done. Keep working at your Bankroll. Stay away from the machines.

  11. Okay the definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again while expecting different results. So we have a bunch of insane people dealing with TBC.

Everyone gives TBC good advice, thinking that he will eventually take it. TBC ignores all advice (after begging for advice) and does his own thing, causing him more misery than it would have if he listened to people. Rinse and repeat.

    ReplyDelete
  12. So you ask for advice and information, then when you get it you scoff at it and claim, "that can't be right" Tony I can guarantee I know a dentist in Vegas that would remove your tooth for less than $100. I'm almost certain its $80. We aren't talking exams and xrays. You point to where it hurts, he pokes you a couple times to confirm it, numbs you up and yanks. You say you need that money for rent, but you don't have a problem sitting down at a horrible spin poker machine and losing three times that.

  13. Also, a lot of dentist have something called care credit where you can eak down your work into 12 months of interest free payments. When I had my work done a couple months ago I financed $1500 of it and I have horrible credit. Also, if you would sign up for medicaid, which I am sure you qualify for, all dental work is covered 100%
