From Linthicum Maryland.

ive arrived, checked into my hotel for fri and sat nites, for $237 total and $98 airfare. and now ive got to figure out what to do from here.

wheres the areas of baltimore to avoid? looks like the inner city, but not sure about the numerous buses serving the mall where the casinos located. are at least 1 in 5 of the people on the bus or at the mall, or in the casino white?

which area of this suburb is the nice safe areas where most white folks live? i have never ever been in this area in my life. only time i was ever in Baltimore i stayed at a mission called the Jeremiah house or something like that, maybe Nehemiah? i remember i was about age 21 or less and panhandling to survive.

also looking at the tour buses into AC, seems most of them have shut down? not sure if the one on shipley av is still running.  also looking on train amtrak info to CT PA NY etc or even WV cardrooms. i think its better people riding it than the greyhound or gotobus?

this is an outrageous price for a room thats fairly safe inside at least i hope it is. i think i could find far safer and better accomodations near foxwoods, or maybe near bethelham sands would be a much classier tenants and cheaper. also what about the 2 casinos in delaware?

i imagine the sands are better here than sands or delaware but not the housing situation. anyone have any in detail experience?

there is a bus directly from the airport to maryland live and it seems it goes right by this hotel too. im wondering if ill be the only white person on it? or maybe all will be fine and its white collar business commuters in this area instead of hoodlums. also it seems uber exists here

i feel like i did the right thing getting more sleep than the 1-2 hours on the plane? instead of playing first without adequate sleep right after a huge loss in vegas on VP at the golden nugget, martingaling a 50 play 50c and $1 machine from 1 hand 1 credit 50c to 250 credits of $1

then again i dont feel like i did the right thing. wasted $104 plus tax on fri nite for nothing when my plane didnt get there til 3am.

  1. I think you are in trouble in Baltimore. If you are scared of black people you are screwed. MDlive has awesome action but you will be scared of all the black people from DC. If you want to live where all the white people live you need to be in the burbs and living will start at about 2k per month. Good luck!

i know this is $1800 a month, but it looks closer to the casino, and safer too. isnt $12,000 enough to be able to afford that much if the poker action is good? there isnt any VBJ to drain away the profits. $150 a day profits would be $4500 a month income.

im sure lots of people making their living at maryland live started off with a lot less than $12,700

  3. from 2013 census Baltimore city population is approx 622k with the black population of 62%.

  4. Tony if you can learn to trust me I'll drive you to both areas. I don't think you are going to like them.

  5. "$150 a day profits would be $4500 a month income."

Just what makes you think that you will earn $150 a day? Bullshit Tony, another one of your stupid wishful pipe dreams. Not a fucking chance in the world you can make $150 a day from poker, save it, and stay away from machines or other games where you will lose it back.

Whinging about the high cost of acomodation already, and whether you are in a safe area. Glad you thought about all that before you got on a plane to wherever you are.

You are shitting yourself about black people on buses etc, already, and you have only been there for five minutes. Just another brilliant plan, well thought out by "run away Tony." Why the hell did you go there in the first place?

Yep. You are truely brilliant Tony. One fucking blunder after another for the past 5 weeks since you ran away to California. Hope you have a nice warm cardboard box picked out. From about $18500 to $12500 in a few weeks. Wonderful diversification of your portfolio Tony.

Despite all the good advice given to you by various people over the past couple of months, which you chose to ignore, you are now exactly where you deserve to be. Have fun and if you value your life you will eliminate the "N" word from your vocabulary real quick.

  6. The only worse decision you could have made would have been to go to Detroit. Wait until there is one of dem bad days when the wind chill is below zero.

The freefall has seriously begun. This is likely your last chance to preserve your money. I suggest you send about $5000 to my PayPal account so you don't gamble it away. You can have it back when you return to Las Vegas with virtually nothing.

PPP has already said he would buy you a glass of cabernet. Ask for Stag's Leap or Jordan. Then ask PPP to just give you the money instead so you can burn it in a machine.

I was going to suggest rooming with PPP, but I am not 100% sure he is safe. I once gave him a ride in Las Vegas and he did not kill me or take my money, so at least you have that information.

btw - Josie is now only about 400 miles away. Just something to think about.

  7. so i guess you are down to 12500 from where you were at. then you go somewhere you really dont know and dont have any one to help you to like you had in vegas like vince and and find out the rent is 2-3 times higher then most other places.LOL,LOL tony you are so much fun to watch as you flush away your $$$$

  9. Why did you leave Vegas without a plan?

Also, what happened to Reno where you could actually make money?

    1. they fixed it so i couldnt play VBJ and i wanted to see PPP who was flying into vegas. (i can win easier with him at the table)

  11. >>>ive arrived, checked into my hotel for fri and sat nites, for $237 total and $98 airfare. and now ive got to figure out what to do from here<<<

This one line is the crux of your problem, Tony. You got in a plane and flew nearly 3,000 miles, and arrived at a destination where you have NO IDEA WHAT TO DO.

Before flying anywhere, you should have figured out exactly why you were going there and what you were going to do when you got there. Where you were going to stay, and what poker rooms you were going to play to try to get income.

Now you're in an area you've really never been in before with absolutely no idea of how to ply your trade.

What was your reason for not returning to Reno? You seemed to be doing so well there.

As I said on my blog in response to your comment, I hope you can somehow conquer your demons and survive and thrive this time. Good luck.

    1. reason for not flying to reno--the plane to baltimore left an hour sooner and $100 cheaper too

      Delete
    2. Hahaha because that makes sense. Is it still cheaper now that you have arrived in Maryland Tony?

      Delete
    3. Wow, what a terrible way to decide.

      Delete
    4. The plane to Baltimore left an hour earlier....great reason for flying there instead of Reno. But oh, wait, it was a $100 cheaper. Except that the first thing in Baltimore you complained about was the high cost of the room. You would have made up that $100 in Reno in a day or two, and you knew you could win there.

How did they fix it so you can't play VBJ in Reno? Besides, I think that would be a good thing for you, not a bad thing. If you had stayed in Reno and done nothing but play poker you'd be so much better off right now.

  12. Tony, to be serious for a moment (and not lament the fact that you are an idiot for flying 1,000 miles away with no plan . . .), I've never had an issue at Maryland Live. Before Horseshoe opened, I use ton play there all the time. However, there are going to be a ton of black people both at the casino and the mall. You are in the Baltimore-DC corridor. It's something you will have to get use to. Somehow, I've managed to survive here 15+ years without a black person killing me. I must be running good.

The mall at Arundel Mills ins not, however, the safest area. There is a lot of crime there, and even gang activity. I'd advise you to "be smart," but I'm not sure what exactly that means to you . . .

As for casinos . . . I assume you are banned from Horseshoe. But, Maryland live has better poker action anyway. Games there will be 24/7 with solid action. It's your best bet.

Charles Town in west virginia is in the middle of now where, and the action has vastly died down since Maryland opened rooms. You can use the Bravo app to see what gems are going. But I suspect it is not worth even considering.

Delaware Park also lost most of its cash game action after Maryland Live opened. And, I assume it would be difficult to get to.

Atlantic City is pretty much dying. Hotel rooms are expensive now, and I don;t think weekday action is very good (although I could be mistaken).

As for Sands, PA . . . It too is in an isolated area. Hotels there will not be cheap (at least by your standards). Transportation will ale be an issue.

So . . . you've made an impulsive and insanely stupid decision to come east. I wanted you about it repeatedly, but you did not listen. At this point, I'd either grab a cheap flight back to Vegas or, if you choose to compound your mistake, play at Maryland lfor a week or so and try to enjoy yourself.

Good luck. I think you are gonna need it.

    1. hotels are much cheaper next foxwoods, bethleham sands and de park. about $400 a week near de park (ive been researching) $239 a week near bethelham sands, and $320 a week within 5 miles of foxwoods. these are all safe enough locations, i didnt include the ones that might not be safe.

  13. LOL Tony! I'll be up at MDL on Monday morning if you'd like to join me. I have to leave no later than 3 to get home for my kids, but I'll certainly look for you if you'll be there. WTF are you doing in Linthicum MD? I don't think that's a very nice area, TBH. Why did you come to Maryland? Live! is going to be a source of income for you since you play tight, but getting around from place to place is going to be a problem for you since the area is so spread out - save for Baltimore. Good luck & email me if you run into problems - perhaps I can help you out.

  14. Welcome to my neighborhood Mr. Bigcharles! Well kind of...I don't live in MD but close enough. If you stick around, I'll treat you to a meal at Maryland Live casino. Your move, chief.

  15. So Tony, tell us the real reason why you did not return to Reno after you said how easy it was for you to win there? Did you get banned from there as well?

Please tell us the story of why you got banned from Palazzo and The Venetian. You can't just tell your loyal readers you got banned from someplace without telling them why. That would be like you winning a huge hand of poker with a 56 suited starting hand and not telling us how you did it.

Please tell us if you got banned from the Golden Nugget after your $3200 loss on the slot machine a couple of days ago. Was that the real reason why you once again panicked and ran away to whatever shit hole you are now in? Is this a place where Cutter promised you that there was good vbj machines that no one plays, and they have been reserved for your exclusive use?

C'mon Tony, so many questions you need to answer. All of them could make a good long blog post and keep us entertained. Good luck in whatever dump you are playing in now.

    1. Maryland Live isn't a dump. Everything else you said is fine.

    3. If you are referring to my comment, I don't think I sad MDL is a dump. I actually like the place. The area is just not the best. Although, I've spent a bunch of evening at the Aloft / Element across from the mall . . . walked back well after midnight (probably shouldn't have) and never had any issues . . .

      Delete
    4. i didnt feel safe walking up to the busstop about 3 blocks from the casino entrance at 1-2am so i didnt. instead i wasted $20 on a cab at 7.40 am. the aloft or element i seen up the street but its a much further walk but away from the thugs unlike the bus stop. not sure which is safer, the hotels are much further and more isolated walk, but only hi class people going to them. i think they have free shuttles though. those same hotels are about $100 a night on priceline and about $115 a nite booked directly with the hotel. id been better off staying closer to avoid huge cab fees and buses, like i said, im learing how to save money on stuff like that next visit. id be checking out today and relocating had i not came back to the hotel too tired to move and do anything but get online 2 hours then fall asleep.

    5. I use to stay at Element / Aloft when I played MDL. Actually, mainly black people staying there. You might not like it.

So, when I you heading back to Lyons for Christmas with your family?

  16. So you want to stay in a white only safe area, but you want to spend next to nothing? its not going to happen. And also, you leave Vegas to go across the country, and within a day of getting there you are looking at planes, trains, and automobiles to get you somewhere else?

Just remember, hold you temper... you can't afford to be barred from casinos in markets with few choices.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. count the entire 7 state area and about 30 casinos and i have a lot more choices of different venues to play at than in vegas.

      Delete
    2. Maybe... but you complain about taking a bus for 20 minutes in Vegas.

I suggest that you don't act like a fool and get banned, and your response is to tell me about all the options you have? So, you are planning on getting banned?

      That's reasonable I guess.

  17. AC poker is alive and well At least from 1/2 NL standpoint. Sure Borgata doesn't have as much daily action as ML, but they comp well and he action is still very good. 1/2 I also runs daily at the other poker rooms.

  18. feeewwww. Back at my hotel Room. Crazy Day. Spent most of it North of Baltimore, surrounded by black people. At one point, PPP was the only white person in the bar. FUCK ME!!!!! Somehow, I did not get killed. Some of dem back folk actually talked to me and shit!!!! Anyhow, very thankful that them black folk did not kill me .

  20. so far my trip here has been a success. paid about $340 for 3 nites hotel with only 2 sleeps, (not the brightest plan) but learned a lot about how to do better the next trip and learning how to have a 100% accuracy on finding out the hotel names that wont be shown til after u book. its a lot of work looking up things to discover this. i think next time i can get the same hotels or better for about $10-25 less per nite.

also learning about some great promotions, and i also won $700+ my first day playing at Maryland live in the $1-2 much better action as the night went on. and now for the story about the guy caught cheating (some asian guy) but yet he wasnt banned.

he was told when he sat $300 was the max he could put in the game, tried to put $500. then a few hands later when he had the nuts, tried to sneak in the other $200 from out of his cup (DURING THE HAND< AFTER the game started). the dealer caught him, the floor made him take off anything over $300, but he actually had lost some before this, but no one knew how much. caused 2 players to lose more than they shouldve and they were pissed, and i spoke up how the floor shouldve barred him and they agreed. i think thats definitely cheating.

  21. so Tony are you really in Maryland or is this another lie and you really are in Laughlin like you did once before????

  22. Keep spewing the roll. It's quite obvious that your not out there trying to actually build a roll. You just wanna travel to new poker rooms. If you wanted to build your roll, you would stay put in Reno where you were actually successful and the cost of living is low. Not traveling the nation for some amazing low limit nl game that you can print money at for $150 daily. You just will never learn so it's pure entertainment at this point.

  23. I play at M. Live, Delaware Park and Dover during my travels. I like those casinos because they are smoke free, but that is the only thing they have better than AC. One late night playing craps at M. Live I look up and notice I am the only cracker at the two full crap tables. It did not phase me any. I grew up in a town with all colors of people. When I was a juvenile delinquent I was locked up in the Bronx and was the only cracker out of 30 kids. The color of someone's skin is not the first thing I notice about them. I wish the same for others for only then can we get passed all this racial disharmony. That night after playing craps I walked all the way across the parking lot and around to the Hampton Inn & Suites without incident.

  25. tony, your decision making really is pathetic. forget about VBJ losses...you have wasted so much money on retarded trips and expensive hotel rooms and apartments, your travel expenses alone could have paid for multiple nice vacations. you can lay on the beach for the same price you're willing to pay for some shithole that does not make you sign a lease. it's really, really, really sad.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Tony there is something you should know about Mountaineer before you make that trip. The Casino is nice but the poker room is not part of it. The casino was built at a horse track. The poker room is not in the casino, it's in the horse track. This means a very long walk uphill across a very big mostly empty (because it's the back lot) parking lot from the poker room to the casino. No are there are no shuttles between the two. I would say you would view it as a very big safety issue to say the least. Also the action has died down there a lot since Pittsburgh got casinos. It's in the middle of nowhere and not worth the trip.

  27. Tony,
Let me tell you something about all these people posting here: koala, ppp, and everyone else. Don't pay any attention to them. They are LOSERS who just don't get it. This is your top of the mountain moment because you've finally gotten dem machines out of your system and concentrate on what you do best. Don't worry about the expenses of the hotel rooms, that's something that all pros worry about. The people who are telling you that you're spending too much on those things are just jealous. Everyone on roughing the punter is jealous of you because they don't have the freedom that you do. Pulling for ya, buddy!
