still doing well at Maryland live, at least financially at the poker tables.

Well Grump said i had a misunderstanding as to what the dr said to me yesterday. Im sitting here now in my room reading the paperwork he gave me (left when i turned a $697 win into only a $403 win--no longer felt like playing). they did a lab test of a Q-tip swab down my throat and it came back as positive for strep. But when i woke up today i felt much better, so i went to the casino. Too much sleep isnt good for u either, it causes headaches. The actual wording on the diagnosis says Strep Pharyngitis

Anyway, im more concerned about my tooth even though yesterday the clinic that charges me $144, ($14 for the amoxicillin, $85 for the drs visit and the remainder for the lab test) said it wasnt connected to my tooth. Because today i feel a bigger size hole like the tooths somewhat fell down slanted or came somewhat out. Hard to describe unless u look at it, and i really dont think anyone who works as a dentist actually reads this blog. i finally got Joel to tell me the name of his dentist and looked up his website.

im supposed to finish ALL the amoxicillin for 10 days at 3 pills a day even if i feel better.

The motel im at (in a horrible area without a shuttle causing me big cab and Uber fees last 2 nights) and ill make sure next time to avoid getting this hotel its ONLY 2 1/2 star hotels im given instead of 3 star. I dont mean horrible in the way of crime, theres NONE out here, its strictly office workers and its right next to the NSA entrance off the highway with big signs saying RESTRICTED, employees only.

i mean horrible in the way of huge transportation costs and no shuttle. its actually a nice hotel considering im getting it for so much less than all their other customers at $63 a night instead of the normal price.

u get a much better chance of not getting the wrong hotel if u dont use the 60% off name ur own price option and instead use the 55% off express deals option on priceline. that way i can make sure to select 2 1/2 star (instead of 2 1/2 star OR HIGHER) and that way ill either get the 2 1/2 star hampton inn or springhill suites both right by the casino with a shuttle. the hotel im at now is 3 stars.

never in my life have i seen a casino so easy to win at. im averaging $200-300 a day in the $1-2 NL and theres no way in hell id ever average that in vegas. all i need is enough money upfront for one of those nice luxury leases on the apts a half mile down the road.

what caused me to have such a high $28 cab fare on the way home is the huge amount of holiday traffic on the roads by the mall, (really nice how the casino is in a mall) i wonder if any other casinos are in a mall in a city i dont know about? and me stopping for food at safeway. getting so old, im starting to really worry about my health, so i bought toothpaste (airport security seized my original tube when i left vegas) a quart of milk to drink, a bag of tiny sized carrots (mom fed me those alot as a kid, along with apples, arent those supposed to be good for teeth?), and potato salad, all which u need to go to a real grocery store to buy and are much healthier foods.

all my uber fares werent near that high. took 3 trips on uber, one black lady, one black guy, and one indian guy. still hesitate using it though due to horror stories online. all of them were between $12 and $16. no bad experiences to speak of yet. i feel 100x more at ease anytime i can see its a woman driver instead of a man.

the hotel that charged me $45 more than Priceline agreed id be charged never answered my email i wrote about 36-48 hours ago and im really going to be pissed if i have to phone. i feel im just out. Maybe i also need to write Priceline too. Priceline gave me the price and it said PAY AT HOTEL. i wish id looked over the statements and pointed it out when i left but i left in the middle of the night without a manager on duty just the night desk clerk.

ill play a few sngs or cash games on Bovada with the $15 i have there before i sleep cause im just not tired yet. But i did feel like id lost back enough money, so i decided to leave the casino. for some reason my wins here are much bigger than in vegas, and it might be due to running good, but i think its just a much smaller percentage of people at the table actually gambling for a living.

  1. Tony you are fucking delusional man. First off, if you are contagious you should not be interacting with people in a normal way and or playing poker. Second, that is a seriously un-Christ like move to go out in public while still contagious. I think much less of you now for that dick move. You sit on your perch and bitch about people watching you play VBJ but you actively contaminate cards and chips in a casino without even the slightest care or respect for those around you. DICK MOVE. You could have cost everyone in the Casino money buy making them sick. Third, why the hell did you go out when you knew you had strep. Google that shit, or at least ask the Dr. if you can "go to work" or not, and I guarantee you he would have said fuck no, rest and try not to get other sick.

Also you hurt my head with your insane ramblings of incoherent double talk and constantly changing positions. One week back when you had 6K in the sweet sweet roll you were better off than everyone of your readers now you ramble about how now that you are more than double that you are not close to as well off as your readers?

  3. Yesterday I won over $500 at the Bellagio in about 2 hours. That's an hourly rate of $250. I then went to the Mirage and lost nearly $200. I never realized the game at the Mirage was so tough, completely unbeatable based on my experience yesterday. I will now play exclusively at the Bellagio because thier games are so soft. I also just realized I can afford a LOT more money on rent so I'm moving out of my current place and will be looking at some luxury condos RIGHT on the strip because I can easily make $500 a day at the Bellagio. After the first hour I wasn't really sure because I thought it might just be short term luck, but I stayed a whole extra hour and still had a great hourly rate, so would you say that's long enough to be sure I can win consistently?

I went to McDonald's for lunch yesterday. You see I had a 2 for 1 sandwich coupon so I wanted to use it before it expired. I felt like I was so much better than everyone else in the store who were paying full price for their sandwich. How could they all not realize they could get a coupon and pay HALF the price for two sandwiches?

When I left the Mirage I took a cab home and the cab driver was white. I saw a black cab driver when I got to the front of the taxi line so I let the couple behind me go first. Amazing they weren't even afraid to get in the cab with the black guy.

I was also diagnosed with the flu yesterday before I went to the poker room. I think god would agree it's okay that I probably got several other people sick with the flu because he knows that MY suffering is worse than anyone else. You see it's not that I have a gambling addiction and I can't not gamble every day of my life, it's that I need to go to work because my bankroll will disappear if I stay at home for 2-3 days until I feel better and am no longer contagious.

    1. I made $270 in 10 minutes on Full Tilt yesterday. Should I leave my job, and sit at home picking up $1200 a hour online ? Didn't see any black people either. Had a slight sniff, but my wife seems OK, so maybe not contagious, yet.

    1. About 99% of Hotels/Motels in the good ol U S of A have free bathroom supplies for customers if they forget their razor, toothbrush, deoderant or TOOTH PASTE...

      Delete
    2. they wouldnt be selling it in the market right next to the hotel desk if they were giving it away free. theres hi prices for these in hotel gift shops.

      Delete
    3. Ur just as ignorant about free bathroom supplies as you are paid time off in the American workforce Tony. U see the free toothpaste is only the very small travel size (in some places actually a single shot for one tooth brushing) and not intended to negate you having to BUY A FULL SIZE TOOTHPASTE LATER. The more likely truth of the matter is that you have dozens of times stood at a checkin counter with a little sign to your left or right that said "Complimentary bathroom supplies" or there might even have been a one gallon fishbowl on the counter where the contents were free bathroom supplies but SADLY even in cases where you were in dire need of some bathroom supplies you are not wired to make that connection. So in Tony;s World through years of travels you have not ONCE stood at a hotel checkin and ever said something as simple as: I am out of toothpaste would you by any chance have a complimentary size tube handy??? Yes, I understand the fleabag roach motels you frequent will NOT have this luxury that only rich people get to experience. But those priceline places you stayed in MD 100% gauranteed did have the comp bathroom stuff. Oh, btw, congrats on the most recent banning!

  6. Oh yes, almost forgot his other delusional tweet about taking bets on him making $100k/year at the $1/2nl game in Maryland Live. I would love to take this bet if it weren't for the following problems...

    1) There is almost zero chance Tony will stay put for one whole year in one casino. Even if he somehow manages to avoid the inevitable tilting off large chunks of his bankroll on Blackjack, or the inevitable bad run in poker, there is a high probability he would get banned from Maryland Live if he plays there day in day out for 12 months.

    2) There is no way to verify how much he makes from the $1/2 game. We have seen plenty of examples where Tony lies in order to take advantage of other people's offers.

    3) There is no way to ensure I can collect the bet. Even if we can find a mutually trusted 3rd party to escrow the bet, trying to get Tony to give escrow the money will be like pulling teeth, and we all know how hard it is for Tony to pull teeth even when his health is increasingly at risk.

I am sure there are other issues that I haven't thought of.

  7. Tony:

I'm glad you're doing much better financially (compared to where you've been since I started following your story).

I hope you have a wonderful xmas and that the new year brings you happiness.

    2. Thanks, P3.

I've been around Tony enough to know he's not changing. He may adapt by increments, but never in ways that would impact the macro. Tony is gonna Tony. I tried for a long time to get him to pursue counseling, but I've accepted that he isn't going to change.

He has had a harder life than anyone I know - dad killed during a robbery, mom with some very extreme views, baby-momma with severe mental issues, son with autism, incarcerated, autistic, homeless, beaten, etc..

He has in him an essence of humanity - a kindness and gentleness. As maddening as Tony can be, and as repugnant as his views often are, I marvel at how he has survived and made it this far. I have a great deal of respect for the man, oddly.

Tony, best wishes to you this holiday season. May your success continue and your health improve.

To PPP, S.I. and the rest of Tony's loyal blog visitors: happy holidays to you all as well.

Tony I cannot believe you have run away again, and left the easiest casino you have ever played at where you were winning $200 - $300 a day. Please tell us of the better place you have heard of that made you go for a train ride.

    4. Lost money, left in a rush, no idea where he's going . Banned for sure. Don't come back to Vegas. I'm there in a couple of days, and would like to keep this cold off my back.

    5. Everyone knows i have a long history of leaving without needing to be first banned. Reno commerce wynn nugget come to mind as evidence. I came here to research casinos not to rent an apartment. My responsibility to my readers involves much traveling not staying in one place. Tonights new blog will have a new trip report and also the reasons staying here wont work either

    6. Everyone knows you have a long history of suddenly leaving town after a ban, in fact, that is one of the things you are famous for.

You don't have any responsibility to your readers to travel. In fact, most of your readers who want you to succeed, advice you to stay in one place. Let me put it in the simplest term possible, your constant travel to find gambling nirvana is idiotic. You can't get ahead when you spend so much money and time traveling. You are your worst enemy, spent your effort on improving yourself and you may have a chance yet.

    7. Pokerdogg is correct Tony. I 100% agree with his post. If you think of your travel expenses as "rake" you will then see you are playing in a game that you cant win!

  9. Do you sit with a marker and a cardplayer magazine with the list of poker rooms and just slowly cross off poker rooms you have been banned from and then talk yourself into a trip to the ones you have not been booted from?? Does "I have heard great things about "X" room mean well it is next on my world tour.

Maybe God is telling you something, it is time to go to the mountains and the beach and be close to him... maybe a dentist chair will also get you closer to God. Dentists do wear long white coats and can resemble angelic beings from a distance.

Tony, I have no idea where you are. Tomorrow is Christmas Day. Despite what you might think, there really are people out there that care for you and are thinking of you at this time. I know you are not with your family, but I hope that you find someone to share a Christmas dinner with.

I wish you and your family and all my friends that I have met through you, a wonderful Christmas and all the very best for 2015.

Thanks to some brilliant medical people and fantastic nursing staff, my family and good friends, and God in what ever personage you perceive him or her to be, I have been given the most wonderful Christmas gift I could ever wish for. The gift of life. I am able to clebrate this time of year, with a healthy body and hopeful expectations of continuing good health according to my latest tests and scans, when twelve months ago I did not expect to be here at this time. Be happy everyone and I wish you well for 2015.
