What should i do with all this money?

Probably will be in Las Vegas before too long to see stealthmunk, Cooldave and Koala and Vince and Carmen and Flush Draw, etc. But possibly will be in los angeles instead. the games are a lot better in los angeles.

its not an easy trip from Truckee CA to Las Vegas. theres no plane, unless u first go to reno or sacramento. no train that goes straight thru, u either have a long layover in SLC where u board an Amtrak bus (much nicer than a greyhound bus) or a long wait in emeryville where u then can board a train to los angeles many hours later. or deal with multiple buses going thru stockton and bakerfield and i HATE buses.

a much nicer trip would be to blackhawk where i can ride in a private sleeper car all the way for less than $400, which is easily affordable, or to be out in the open with everyone else, for less than $200. But i have no friends there. None of the people reading my blog play there regularly.

although my bankroll is MUCH higher than it normally is, im still not as well off financially as most poorer people even though i have more than a years rent in the bank. the reason i can say this is i do not own a car, and even about 90% of those who are poor have one. i wouldnt even be surprised if about 25% of the homeless with almost no money at all have one.

what should i be doing with all of this money? fixing my teeth and having them cleaned? seeing a dr and finding out why my eyesight is going bad? finding out if im developing any unknown medical issues such as diabetes? Taking it out of the bank and putting it in a safer place such as a casino safe deposit box or a california cage casino account? should i be staking people such as Ray, Vince, flushdraw and Carmen? playing with at least a $300 buyin every time i set down in $1-2? Playing $2-5 and $3-5 NL instead of $1-2, but how much do i buyin? i really wouldnt have the slightest idea, and because im undecided and dont want to make any more rash decisions, im staying where im at and sticking to this VBJ machine in tahoe for now.

ive already made 1 rash decision. i moved out of my apt in reno and the landlord claimed that i was a good tenant with my rent, and would re-rent to me again anytime if i ever went back into reno. and as far as that goes, i might have to go back, simply to use the airport to fly somewhere else.

i could even afford to fly back to Baltimore and pay $1800 a month for the candlewood suites 60 day commitment program near MD live if i wanted to. then id have a place under 1 mile away, a nice kitchen in a safe place for about $65 a night instead of $100. i dont like committing to 60 days. all the extended stay americas in Phoenix for $903 a month near the casino are the same deal, a 60 day commitment. so if i needed to leave the area, id be stuck.

So many friends id like to see in vegas, but the games will be tremendously bad i fear. much worse than Reno, incline village, los angeles, and Phoenix. Koala, stealthmunk and i can play a little bit of $1-2 NL at the nugget, the poker palace, the redrock, GVR, southpoint, the hardrock, the orleans, the wynn, the Nugget, Planet Hollywood, Boulder station, Sante Fe and possibly elsewhere in vegas, but i just worry the action is exceptionally poor. it would be nothing like Blackhawk or NH for action.

  2. "what should i be doing with all of this money? fixing my teeth and having them cleaned?" Answer: YES! Invest in your health.

"seeing a dr and finding out why my eyesight is going bad?" Answer:YES! See above.

"finding out if im developing any unknown medical issues such as diabetes?" Answer: YES! You should have a physical examination by a doctor. It won't give you every answer but at least you'll have some idea of where your general health is.

"Taking it out of the bank and putting it in a safer place such as a casino safe deposit box or a california cage casino account?" Answer: NO! Why would you think that a bank is not safe?

"should i be staking people such as Ray, Vince, flushdraw and Carmen?" Answer: NO! You are never satisfied that you have enough money to play how and what you want. Why would you stake anyone else?

"playing with at least a $300 buyin every time i set down in $1-2?" Answer: YES! If you get a chance to stack someone you want to be able to win big.

"Playing $2-5 and $3-5 NL instead of $1-2" Answer: NO! You rely on vbj, not poker, to make you money. Have one or two bad sessions at a higher level and you'll be whining so loud people will hear you in Hawaii.

    1. As much as I appreciate the sentiment and thought, Tony, the fact is FlushhDraw is not moving to Vegas until January and he will have his own bankroll money to grind with, but the thought is much appreciated.

  3. Looks like you've already got good advice. Definately get the teeth cleaned. You seem to do very well in Reno maybe spend more time there after your break. August is crazy there anyway with the motorcycle and car events. If you are still in Vegas next month I will try to meet up one of the days I'm in town.

  4. Tony, you should only play poker for the rest of the month. You have been on a lucky VBJ streak and are closing in on $20,000 again. Don't let your greed and VBJ addiction destroy your bankroll in a day or two! Stick to only poker and July can be the most profitable month! You have been warned, good luck!

  5. the reason i always blew my money in previous years (many years past) was because i never managed it well. when i was 19, and inherited $2000 from the canadian govt due to money being held for me when i was 19 from my fathers death, i blew all the money on hookers within a week or two. when i was living in montana back in the days of party poker, Paradise Poker, Planet poker and pokerstars, i blew all the money giving it to lorna and later on, Britni. i always tried to buy women and use the money to force them to do things they wouldnt otherwise do. (nothing bad, i mean hang out with me and make me feel like someone loved me) why? because since i was bitter at sue (marks mother) leaving me for a black guy, ive never ever felt loved since. (and it was why i was so angry at Claudia when i found out she was going back to NY without me and called her Hitler etc. i felt at the time it was over abortion, but it really wasnt, it was over being abondened). deep hurts in my life have caused me to feel i cant get a womans love and affection without money since im old and ugly. and id get quite upset if they still werent interested.

so i want to do the right thing with this money now for once.

to pay those i owe, (individuals that is) not old businesses, and to start a new life with friends. thats why i say i should stake Ray. ray wouldnt need a few months to get money together if i lets say started him off with $2000. then he would be free to travel now and play poker daily for the rest of his life and we could visit every casino up and down chicago to new hampshire. he wouldnt have to wait a few months for his money.

also im living next door to a post office in lake tahoe. every day God keeps telling me how proud my son would be if i sent him a surprise gift without it being Christmas or his birthday and ive still not done it yet.

    1. Tony, don't do it! Remember Ray said a few months ago he likes being poor, and says..."Money is a tax on the spirit! Being poor I don't have to worry about that unnecessary tax. Living for the Spirit comes naturally when your not worried about money and greed!"

You will be burdening Ray's spirit with money, is this what a friend does? Don't be selfish and give Ray money just because you want him to tag along in your world travels.

  6. and with that being said, i cannot get the sleep i badly need, i constantly wake up about 1 hour later. so i guess ill go into the casino and work at getting the money i need to do all of this. i sure hope the VBJ machine is empty it probably is, but i wish it was like 3 hours later so its completely dead.

  7. I like when you mention Mark, I remember taking you to see Sue and Mark when Mark was just a few months old. I just want you to get straight with God and keep your money for security. This way you can get back to your humble beginning (which means closer to Jesus Christ). I will have things straight shortly here and we can hit some east coast casinos together soon. Like my old bus driver days at greyhound and transit. Keep up the good money management.

  8. The best thing you could do with the money would be to book 30 sessions with a competent psychoanalyst.

  9. Just send mark a grand. He deserves it for crying out loud.

  10. So he can spend it on hookers like his Dad taught him? Probably 2000 would be better...

  12. You could also purchase a 1 Oz, twenty dollar gold piece for sentimental value, and safe keeping as tangible asset in exceptionally hard times. May I suggest a St. Gaudin version of the coin. I still have one from my grandfather.
