Promotions

it's hard to leave here like i should when the promotions here are so good. and ive never seen so many casinos where its so easy to get pulled for drawings when theres hardly any customers in any of the casinos most slow days. if its this slow now, think of how slow it will be when its 60 below outside. Which is quite common windchills during the winter.

im back to $17,612 after a win of a few hundred on the VBJ tonight, and small poker win a mile down the road, and $80 in free play won which i turned into $47. got my name called twice while playing at the poker table, and congratulations to corey the dealer for making sure im logged in.

upcoming promotions (besides being drawn both fri and sat last week for a key to a 1-20 chance to win a new car (or $12,000) (both times i missed out being up the street playing poker) i hated missing that the value of being picked is worth $800 when u include the $200 in free play. i probably had more tickets than a lot of people did. and those drawings are every week.

up the street im in the barrel, (along with about 50 people total) for the nov 28 sun nite drawing where 5 people get $1000 each, and the only qualifiers are previous hot seat winners. so thats good odds if i stick in town longer.

then on NYE weekend, 1000 different players card members will get $500 each, and all the rest get $5-100 (about 25,000 plus others). every casino has lots of these drawing type promotions, and ive been called for various things about 6-10 times including being present and not being present this month so far. the actual games around town themselves arent so good, but the promotions certainly are.

---this was typed last night--still unfinished and not yet published because i didnt feel the post was long enough yet--before today. its now saturday morning, and was disappointed i wasnt called for a key this weekend. very few people in town this weekend due to snow and cold. is supposed to be 4 degrees tonight and warm up to 56 monday to melt the snow. at least the money is still slowly going back up, i am now over $17,700 with $333 more online Bovada.

i came to town with more however. still miss good old 24 hour NL. i need a place to live i can afford longterm and that will hasten getting me out of here. for the same prices flush draw pays but without anyone else living there.

i paid $50-70 a week hundreds of times the late 80s and early 90s to late 90s. 2003 i still paid $230 month plus utilities in Butte. would love to find that price near good poker action.

speaking of promotions, the mountain Grand sent me $10 free play today only, went by there to pick it up just now on foot, and it wasnt there and the employees knew nothing about it and said to print out the email and talk to them tomorrow. problem is i can no longer find it in trash folders.

  1. what i want is to not have to worry about earning enough per week to pay for housing costs. lots of money was wasted on travel and housing the past year. its because i didnt want the horrible living conditions of many of my blogger friends. i truly would like to return to 2002-2003 or before, and start over in my early 30s. or see my grandma again who died in 2001. then i wouldnt be too old for all the women, and i could do well online the 2nd time around, being smarter now and a large network of friends without being dependent on Britni or lorna to talk to. many friends ive forgotten things theyve done for me, and just feel they dont understand (meaning accept) me due to not being socially conservative like me. friends like Josie and agsweep who did me a really big favor once when homeless id forgot about concerning value place, and even anger is a gift giving advice regarding shelters in florida. even wec used to be nice. i still dont think hes ever met me, unless hes this one guy calling himself silver dollar who plays late night mix at saloon 10 whose really unkind and rude to me in person, without me ever doing anything to him to deserve it. i need to go somewhere to play poker, but the only reader who really wants to see me is Ray, and im afraid to enter toledo due to what happened the last time. (the car following me) his friends (not real friends, but poker acquaintances know my story well and my vulnerabilities) theyve never known me to have money back in the old days of the monte carlo nights when all my poker money came solely from pandhandling. this was age 19-22. so when ray tells them how well im doing now--and tells me theyre all broke in debt and alcoholics or druggies, im worried they see me as a target. if i wasnt afraid for my safety, id be there.

the area im in now almost 100% of the residents are white, no mexicans asians or blacks, and truly dislike obama being a traitor and arming our enemies. and for wec to say obama is christian is laughable. hitler, a satanist, called himself christian too. God says many will claim to be christian, and go to hell while he says depart from me, i never knew you. im working on trying to improve how i treat others so i wont be one of them.

    1. You know better than that, i would never let those guys know where i live! The minute you see any of them they want to borrow $20 (for a quick drugs or drinking fix probably). Besides that Jimmy is kicked out of the casino, and Danny and Keith and Todd don't really play anymore they hate hold 'em. Speedy passed away, Greg passed away. The old timers are nearly all gone! You wouldn't even recognize the regulars that play hold 'em here anymore. I like to go in early morning when i am playing. You can catch all the Drug Dealers throwing around their bank rolls. Detroit has all changed too. I think the ones that thought they were die hard players have finally realized they can't do this long term. Probably why your finding easier games. Without divulging any "Top Secret" information, you know i have a nice little condo tucked away now, i have also given you "Rock Star" access when your ready! (not sure how long this peanut butter and honey will last from the last time you didn't show).

  2. would also like to learn how to get better results using google search. i did a search of $200 monthly rent and a website came up listing apts 200 and up nationwide. problem is most of the ads when u clicked on them wouldnt show up, or be $200 daily vacations rentals. or be section 8 income qualify putting it $200. i even tried $300, $350, etc.

  5. The following is a list of apartments for under $300 a month that are in areas you'd consider "safe" and within easy public transportation to a nearby casino with poker 24/7 :

  6. ....and congratulations to corey the dealer for making sure im logged in.

Wouldn't the proper phrase be thanks to Corey the dealer? Did you toss him a redbird or is acknowledgement on your blog enough?

  7. Good public transportation is very important these days.

  8. Congratulations on dumping almost $2000 today. How much of it was live BJ and how much VBJ? I guess the good thing is that you probably qualified for a few more live draws, and saved maybe $250 on room costs. Tony, can't you understand that continuing to gamble like this is going to lead you to disaster? You claim to be a genius and good at maths, can't you figure out that it is costing you shitloads of dollars to keep gambling like this? They don't offer you free rooms and food because of your bad attitude towards the staff and other patrons, all they want is what is left of your roll and then you are not worth anything to them. I am surprised you have not yet been banned from where you are. This must almost be a record of longevity between bannings.

    2. I didn't say anything about free rooms, but getting two weeks accomodation for $317 is a pretty good deal. Is that the standard rate for all guests or just the vbj player rate?

    3. normal rate is $19.99 weekday, $79 weekends. i pay $19.00 everyday, instead of $19.99 and $79.99

  9. real problem hurting me today is I'm lazy. i dont want to put in the 10-12 hour sessions i did day in and out in my pre 2000 days when pandhandling and homeless a lot. some homeless have no work ethic and sit around all day broke, and others walk nonstop thru parking lots asking for money--just like working a job.those who do end up with much more money. when i had no room to retire to--or a cheap sleeping room in a flop house with community restroom (never with roommates) i put in much longer sessions to earn a bit of cash. now im lazy, i only want to play short sessions, win $100, then relax online in the room all the time. i think the internet made me lazy. instead of grinding the hours, i want to get it quick from VBJ.

    1. Time to come back to reality and the basics. This means a whole change of atmosphere where VBJ is not as important as GOD! I had to do all that, from scratch. Go back and think about how we lived for years out here. This new "VBJ Swingers Life" is a pipe dream.

  10. You know, at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, AZ, they have VBJ at a bar right outside the poker room. They also have a good poker rate if you play enough daily hours. That would be a good way to get you to play more. The games are good too. Also, lots of parking lots if you happen to go busto, and u see, its illegal NOT to give somebody water.

  11. the thing i dont like about the football squares promotion at cadillac jacks monday night is unless they start the $1-2-100 earlier instead of the 4pm tourney, its always $5-50 with $2-5 blinds. $300 min buyin instead of $100. i had 4 squares, sat anyway, and very quickly got quite pissed off and down $530. somehow got it all back plus around $49. a guy came up looking for a seat (u have to be playing for the football squares to get paid) and he was willing to pay me $20 for my seat. my numbers werent much good 6-6 7-1, 4-2, 4-9, so i didnt mind leaving. i feel extremely uncomfortable in that game stakes way too high. lot of rich guys in it and most arent making any action or ever lose.

i hate the fact ur forced to play much higher than u are comfortable playing or the football promotion is no good. they should do it during the $1-2 game on a different day.

  12. Tony, U see the problem here is you are playing a game you do not like. Why? Don't play it. No one is holding a gun at your head and forcing you to play. Go back to your room and play Bovada on line instead.

Of course you know that is the simple and easiest solution to not getting pissed off and stressed out, but will you do it? I would do it if I was in your shoes, but I know my IQ is no where as high as yours, so perhaps you know a better solution.

$19.99 a night plus tax is a really good room rate. Far better than sleeping in a cardboard box in winter.

    1. Koala, the problem is, Tony seems to go bust on Bovada all the time. I asked Tony on Flushdraws' blog if he can tell us how much he had won on Bovada the past 12 months, no answer so far.

  13. Don't sweat the recent 3K loss Tony. It's all just part of your well calculated machine play that earns you $20/night rooms. I'm sure you've done all the math and your expected loss is far less than what you make up in room discounts and freeplay. Variance just sucks sometimes, but in the long run you'll be fine.
