its almost time

I wish the freeroll operated like a normal freeroll, (the type the Riviera in Vegas and the Flamingo/IP used to have). but instead, due to lack of space in the poker room, they did the bottom 50 people tonite, (top 25 get in) and Saturday they will do the top 50, and 25 will get in. on sunday the finalists (50 total) will play a tourney, starting fresh with the same sized chip stacks. $20 dealer fee for $5000 extra chips. so I have to first win my way in tonight. this way they need only 5 tables to run the tourny instead of 10. the room holds only 9 tables, and they sure wont be shutting down the cash games during the tourney.

considering i had $17,800 once (which i considered $17,500 because id subtracted the $286 cost of my room for 2 nights in the Homewood Hilton Suites saturday and sun nights even though they werent going to charge me til i checked out unlike most hotels which charge u on checkin) i've given back quite a bit this week. a few losing sessions, plus the $115 for fridays room last night. but starting today and sunday ill have 2 nites free in samstown once more. then i either need to leave or find another place to live.

so what im saying is ive got $16,900 left of $17,800 if i wouldve left instead of hanging around for the freeroll. i need to win $1000 or more in the freeroll, which could be done if i reach the final table. and considering how well ive done here overall (nothing for nov yet) i probably shouldnt leave. nor do i know where ill go. Vince would like to see me return to vegas, Ray to toledo. and i wouldnt mind being in atlantic city, phoenix, florida or a few other spots.

i should've kept my room for 1 more week, id have saved money. still not entirely sure, nor would i post in here, which place i would rent if i remain in shreveport. i did have a winning omaha8 session yesterday morning (recovered $200 of the money i lost in the holdem game).

never got around to publishing this yesterday as was intended. But im happy to say i made it thru the qualifying period last night, and will be in the final 50 at 1pm today. they wont let us here, but if the 50 of us divided up the money now, its $700 each. one good thing about Mark the manager of the riv, he always let us divide up the moolah. he wasnt that bad til he turned against me, who knows why. so this is a pretty big tourny and how i do in it this afternoon will affect my roll substantially, for if i took first without it being chopped, id be getting close to $10k. it will be horrible to bust out without being in the money. all i can be sure of is at least 10 people getting paid. im down to $16,900 so i hope to be over $18,000 the end of the tourny.

  1. Too late for hoping. No one there will help you. You need to play well, and either pick spots (real ones, not one you hope, wish or pray for) or play premium hands early on and late on in the tournament). Good luck

  2. Kudos to you for your ability to maintain your Bank and sticking to the grind!

  3. So Tony when I ask you about seeing a doctor and dentist (your health problems don't go away just because you play poker), why don't you respond? And then you have the NEXT drop in your bankroll.

    1. same reason for u as for why i dont respond to other things asked by PPP. u get too impatient for answers too quickly, wait a week or so for the reply. i often sleep, then got to be somewhere, today was tied up in a tourney, then once it ends i played omaha a bit now wish to sleep. it often takes a long time to compose a thoughtful reply, which i usually have to time for nor the will to do this much work. its easy to type a fast reply, but for a truthful one, might take like 30 minutes to write it up. ill NEVER have enough for my health. first i need my $29,000 back. then i need all my travel and hotel expenses prepaid about 3-6 months. then i need another $10k or so estimated for medical and dental, without dipping into the living roll or poker roll. i dont see myself ever having this money since i waited til i was in my 40s to start doing well from poker. will take too many yaers to come up with it.

    2. Unfortunately, you continue to gamble with the highest stakes of all -- your life. If you have a health problem now or in the future that goes on untreated, you likely won't be around to worry about money much longer.

    3. You frequently ask why you can't find someone to love you and love you for yourself. Look at your response above. Your life roll is meant for things like medical and any reasonable lady that might get into a relationship with you would be exasperated by your lack of self care. You want someone who understands you? Understands what about you precisely? That you are a gambling addict that doesn't have his priorities in the right place?

  4. new roll $18,600. extremely lucky to barely squeak into 10th place instead of 11th (which only wouldve paid the small amounts the others donated to the bubble, young black guy i gave $15 too, some more, some nothing, for about $300). then instead of $700 i got $1500 due to the offer to give everyone $1000, then redistribute the $25000 prize pool with the same percentages as the original prize pool. ($35,000 prize pool) as the manager was figuring up the prize pool, i busted in 10th before she even finished figuring it up. i wish they did the even 10 way chop for $3500, one of my twitter followers and 1 other guy didnt wish to. but hey $1500 is far superior to $700. then i owed 2 10% horses $150 each and horse 3 cashed for $2500 so he owed me $100. $250-150

    1. Let me get that straight, you paid $150 for a 10% stake in a $35000 free roll with 100 players, assuming you bought their action after the qualifying day. Each entry is worth $350, a 10% action is $35. So you effectively paid a 329% markup. Please please tell me I am wrong on this, because if true, this has got to be the worst deal in poker (buying a piece of action) I have ever heard of.

    2. NO. i swapped 10% with 3 others. 2 of whom busted out, so i owed them $150 each when it ended of my $1500

    3. Ok that makes a lot more sense. Congratulations on you cash.

  5. PPP wishes to know on twitter why i like Trump so much. its not him i like, its the policies he represents. 1. different in who he puts on the court. 2. repeal of obamacare. 3. new DOJ no longer corrupt with no hatred for conservatives there and in the IRS. 4. no more foreign intervention in syria to upset russia. 5. no one will be above the law, trust restored in our leaders. 6. he truly cares for america, not the new world order and people outside the us, including muslim terrorists. 7. he will protect us from crime

    1. You ran your roll up in Shreveport where the action is good and now you are going to leave? Really dumb idea. The games in Shreveport are way better than the games in Vegas. The games in Vegas are infested with pros, semi-pros, and nits.

    2. Nice roll improvement, stay until you hit $20,000.

  7. Tony congratulations for getting the roll back above $19K. Considering the prices you have been paying for accommodation, that is quite an achievement. You seem to be doing so well in Shreveport, I really cannot figure out why you would want to leave there at this time. It would seem obvious to me that while you are running hot there, you should milk it for all you can get.

Las Vegas will always be there. Having said that, you are so limited to where you can play in Las Vegas and those venues are really not close to each other, I can't understand why you need to return there at this time. Do you have some really good deal offer that you have not told us that would offset the cost of travel and accommodation expenses to get back to Las Vegas?

As far as I know you have not been to Florida for a long time, if ever. You always talk about going there, so if you are going to leave Shreveport eventually, why not head for Florida, as you are reasonably close to the place any way, and maybe find out if the place is good for you. Just a thought. Take care.

  8. Hillary called the Donald and congratulated him on his victory and apologized for how ugly the campaign had turned. The phone was silent. Then Hillary asked the Donald if he had anything that he would like to say to her? To which the Donald replied: “go make me a sandwich”.

  10. Of course, you see, Tony, this result could really be disasterous for you once the Feds catch up to you under Donald's regime. As you cannot prove you are a US citizen, despite us telling you for years to sort it out, you will be on his "hit list" to be re-located to the other side of the wall, or Niagara Falls.

    1. That assumes that Canada would take him, which it will not. He cannot prove he was born here or there. They won't take him because he can't prove his Canadian citizenship and won't allow him to enter as an American due to his felony. He would be detained until it got sorted out. If nothing else he would be wise to get a copy of his Canadian birth certificate.
