the end of my blog

this might be the last blog, im thinking of closing it down and becoming a more private person. I've got way too much money to continue doing the blog, and telling everyone where im playing all the time. its best no one even know which city im living in.

4 nights in a row of $1000 plus wins, 3 of them from poker, then a $4000+ win on VBJ in hoover dam lodge in boulder city. i worry every day now how i can protect anything happening to this money. i never had this to worry about. my entire 20s and 30s i was pretty broke much of the time. every time i did run the roll up to over $10,000 a few times, it would rapidly go right back down.

here's why. i used to play lots of VP and VBJ machines with poor paybacks, including the old type 7 hands at once even money VBJ. now, i stick to the VBJ machines with the better payouts, and when i cant find one, i just go to live BJ instead on the 3-2 games.

tonight i was in the game in the nugget for $200. lost it early, and OF COURSE ive forgotten the hand history. rebought $320, and eventually worked it up to about $1050. then i lost a big pot with QQ where i was good til the river on a scary board of 568 and 2 diamonds. the money went allin on the flop, my opponent had like $275 behind and he called $75 preflop with 78 hts and then on the flop. games tonight were more loose, similar to the hardrock. he rivered the flush.

saw 2 guys get 86ed within 3 hours of each other, both on the same table and same seat. security had to escort them both out for fighting. not my table though. But twice i heard Jen yelling to please get security.

odd it was the same seat and table is all.

when i gave back so much reducing my win to only $163, i left and went to the golden gate. their BJ game is wonderful, 3-2 payout, $5 min and the cut card is 90% of the way down, making it the best game in town for counters. once the first 2 shoes were rather uneventful with negative counts, where my bets spread was between $5 and 2 spots of $12, the 3rd shoe got rapidly up to plus 13 running count about 1 8th of the way in. i begun raising bets and the dealer was busting on 16 almost every hand. i was in the game for $410, left the table when the dealer changed end of shoe with $1468. she got a $1 tip close to 20 times. i know this means i tipped out over 100% of my edge, but im still happy.

i still would rather be in reno or shreveport. or elsewhere.

but the main thing is to use this $38,000 on medical, dental, citizenship and possibly other things u might think of which i dont?

  4. Well done Tony, this is awesome news. I am pretty sure if someone was going to rob you, 20k or 40k makes little difference. I enjoy your blog along with many other people, so please keep writing!

Also, taking care of your health and things you have put off due to lack of funds is important now. Please also realise every dollar is still important and you need it all.

    Thanks, Paul

That might be worth running by PPP or L36???

Congrats to our Hero on his highwater mark for the roll!

    2. Not sure what there is for Tony to run by anyone. He is required to, but does not, pay taxes on his earnings. He is never going to voluntarily pay taxes on his earnings. It may or may not eventually catch up with him.

    3. If the government followed the teachings of Jesus Christ more, he may consider it... Instead we have a fallacy of righteousness that is infected by collusion and many other atrocities to mankind. We are basically living a lie inside a lie based on more lies. This is what life is like without. Living hand to mouth and being a victim of laws that were passed to reward the few and oppress the many isn't a great way to have to co-exist.

    4. None of his poker winnings are reported to the IRS. Same with BJ winnings. His concern is if he gets a W-2G from the VBJ or VP machine. Otherwise his winnings should be self reported, which he will not do, just as most poker players.

    5. Ray, you're too self-serving to address substantively.

But, by all means, please, continue to live off entitlement programs paid for by me and my fellow tax-payers while justifying your good buddy Tony's continued existence as a tax cheat.

    6. Mine are private plans pal (PPP). I paid into everything i am on. I don't join anyone's good ole boys club and i don't subscribe to serving myself with a false sense of entitlement. At your level of this nasty game people are playing, they are stealing faster than the federal reserve can print the money off. Thanks for the self-serving comment i needed a good laugh with my morning coffee. If i really were self serving i would have been worth quite a bit more money before i hit thirty i promise you that. Some of us truly found Jesus Christ and decided to over come the things of this world. Tony's lil suitcase was more than i even had till I was 45. You'd be shocked PPP i can promise you that much.

    8. Ray, your original comment (to paraphrase) - "if the government followed the teachings of Jesus Christ, perhaps Tony would pay taxes; but it doesn't; so he won't."

You see, my friend, the rest if us abide by the laws because they are the laws. We don't just follow the ones we agree with, or the ones that jive with our particular paradigm. Your attempt to justify Tony's conduct was simply an excuse cloaked in religious and sanctimonious justification. It was self-serving nonsense.

As for scamming the system because you "paid into it" . . . give me a break. Nearly every adult has "paid into" the system. Some - including those "rich liberals" you seem to resent -- more than others. Paying in is par for the course; not an excuse to abuse the system. Again, self-serving.

      Cheers.

    9. Ray, are you implying you are only taking out what you had previously paid into the plan? I find that hard to believe, that's not how disability plans work.

    10. Ray/John Doe: I ask this question sincerely: Have you read ANY of the Bible? Are you not familiar with the famous story in Mark 12:14-17 -- you know, render unto Caesar what is Caesar's...

You seem to harbor much anger. Praising the Lord should be an experience interlaced with joy.

      Delete
    11. Pokerdogg and PPP i can assure you that you don't know the finer details of my situation, there is no scamming involved but think what you want. PPP, if the PEOPLE put in power in our government followed the teachings of Jesus Christ (big difference PPP), they MIGHT be more worthy of making the decisions that are being made. But what is happening is they are motivated by greed and set up corrupt instruments in our system abroad to extort money( and maintain power). This means a multitude of things are happening Mr. PPP. I know you don't want to believe you subscribe to such a corrupt system.I am sorry PPP but you really do! You worry about Tony paying taxes, PPP you of all people should be proud of Tony! By the way it wasn't religious sanctimonious justification, Jesus Christ is a real way of life. The Bible is a living book, it was alive and is alive and will always be alive. You may want to take a glance at it at different ages in your life, you might just pick up new understandings from it.....I don't hate anyone on the left or the right PPP, they work in concert with one another to strive for the same thing. I am not impressed by their smoke and mirrors routine.

      Delete
    12. By the way PPP you better than most 3rd world countries and that's just on the weekends..Why not go hit some areas in your town that are beat up and oppressed and donate something (Time, money, anything)? You might just change someones life.

      Delete
    13. And really if people in general truly understood and new JESUS CHRIST, we wouldn't hardly need any governments involved in our lives. But to many are in denial what they are all about.

Or another option would be to give a stack of $20s to a church in the hood and let them distribute it to the most needy (after taking their cut of course).

    21. I am glad to report to you, I have both toes Pokerdogg. Pokerdogg, you're one of the more down to earth ones that frequent this blog. Your not clicky, or trying to impress other with your comments. You critique Tony, but with more of an understanding because you care. I like that a little, your not one who tries telling him what to do constantly with absolutely no understanding of his situation. This only frustrates him more. A real friend is there to support his friend, through thick n thin. He understand them and respects their freedoms to make their own choices. He accepts things he can not change about his friend and hopes he can just be there for him when he needs him most. This means through the good and the bad times. I think some on here need a lesson in friendship, loyalty to friendship, and their convictions in trying to better understand the person they are trying to be a friend to. People want to be understood, so those trying to be a friend to Tony should accept and be humble when they realize they can't completely understand him. This will actually open their eyes to their own hypocrisy's. It will also be a way for someone to be the friend they wish they could be to someone.

    22. Tony thanks for the explanation. I knew he wasn't being serious, hence my reply. Unfortunately without his original post, the image of Ray being a big toe, typing away at the keyboard loses some of the punch.

  13. Tony, I hope this is really going to happen and you will close down your blog because you don't need it anymore. I am glad you had proven wrong all those nagsaying trolls who didn't believe you could win at poker. I am not so glad you cannot work on your gambling addiction. You are always going to be one losing streak from losing a big chunk of your roll with your martingale method.

I hope you can set aside $5k right now and go take care of you teeth and other health issues, it will be the best investment you can make.

    Best of luck

Would really like to know what you had Martingaled yourself up to before you finally hit a winner and was able to quit in front. Seems like you are now walking around with well over 10K in your pockets. That is scary.

I am surprised you have not hit up the Golden Gate BJ tables before. They have always had low minimums and a deep cut. Other than saying enjoy "la dolce vita" while you can, there really is no point in saying anything else constructive. Enjoy your dinner with your friends and just continue to do what you gotta do.

    1. There are lots of reviews for the Golden Gate that mention if you are winning at BJ that a pit person will give your chair a kick and then "pretend" that they are intimidating you because you are winning then just brush it off as part of "the experience" of playing at the Golden Gate.

    2. Everytime I've been to the Golden Gate, everything other than the "high limit" area ($25-50 min) has been a continuous shuffle machine...

    3. then u've not been there in sometime. theres always a 8 deck shoe, party pit dancers, $5, with 3-2 and the cut card 7 8ths of the way down. then they hand shuffle.

    4. I guess I don't pay close enough attention. I usually walk through just for the ladies (plus their restroom is one of the cleaner ones) The only games I notice a shoe on are those "Free Bet" or other dumb games where dealer 22 is a push.

People who fail to vaccinate, or who go off schedule on their vaccinations, put the rest of us in danger. The science is clear on this.

Now, Tony believing this probably matters not one iota. But spreading those lies only reinforces that nonsense for folks who DO parent, and who DO have significant impact on their children's health care decisions.
