i now have a stable address for a while again

Seattle Irish was asking me why i was back in vegas and why i left after the WSOP and Koala were gone. well u see i had $19,200 right before i took the room for 5 weeks and i wanted to not be losing ground if i was going to continue staying in vegas. by the time my 5 weeks were up, i then had less than $19,200.

i had to leave Tampa, couldnt win, games were too nitty. (since then ive been told the higher stakes arent as tight as the $1-2). i did think id only be here briefly then fly elsewhere or bus it elsewhere to los angeles to play $12-24 mix in HG. but my stats this year were lousy in stud and limit 08 and im not sure why since i used to win in those games in the 1990s. at one point shortly after playing here, i was down in poker close to $1700 for the month of october. im now happy to say im only down close to $300 for october in poker. at $9.69 per hour again which once dropped to only $9.10 (for the entire year). but this is still much much lower than practically every other year this decade. it should be from $12-20.

i still think theres good BJ to be found in vegas but ive noticed there now putting the cut card at like 6 of 8 decks instead of 7 of 8 decks. im not sure if theyre doing this for everyone in the golden gate, or just me. i've mostly won this session, lost $500 once but won $650 once and $250 once. plus over $400 on the machine in hoover dam. there mightve been one more winning session too.

so im sick of flying, or riding a bus or Uber or train. i wanted an address id be at to order things in the mail. this time ill be staying closer to the Rio than before, and for less money too. so i took a place for 1 month and ive still got over $18,600 left. so when my time is up, as long as im back over $19,200 ill feel im "ok". i just hope i dont take no big losses.

so i went out and bought $87 worth of food too, filling up the fridge, and rebuying things like water pitchers and plastic microwave containers. plus some archie comics. ill try to ask uber about getting the monthly pass. my time will end mid nov unless i renew.i wouldnt mind going to phoenix but worry i wont like the BJ there.

  2. Tony:

You seemed, on Twitter, to be very excited about wikileaks saying they're going to do a "document dump" on President Obama's college records. What do you anticipate they will find?

There will be a major #WikiLeaks document dump this week of Barack Obama’s college records at University of Hawaii and Harvard. @BarackObama

    2. How are you dealing with your disappointment? J.O. seems to lie a lot about the whole wikileaks thing. Nothing released.

  3. Tony, Just a suggestion. Instead of buying water pitchers everywhere you go and then throwing them away, Why don't you get a couple of empty plastic water bottles, clean them out, and use them for storing cold water in your fridge. You could also get some Chinese food takeout containers and use them for heating your food in the microwave. Would save you a couple of bucks.

I've also said this before, why can't you get things you order sent to your Mom's address, or to Vince if you are in Las Vegas?

Lastly I doubt that the Golden Gate is concerned about you counting, because you negate any advantage you might gain with your betting method of Martingaling once the count is favorable to you, and you lose a hand. In the end they will get you as has happened to you over and over, but you don't learn, I told you when I was there that I think your betting strategy in relation to the count is way out of proportion to each other. They welcome you with open arms, hence the comp offers. Good luck.

  4. just noticed bitcoin just broke the $6003. level just think our hero Tony if he hadn't wasted all his coins, he would have been rich as he is the only one i've ever heared that uses it....

  5. Have you given any consideration to how much of your "roll" you waste on travel when you keep ending up in Vegas? Stay in one place and grind it out.

  7. Got to play some poker with Tony last night at Golden Nugget; Tony was very well behaved and played solid poker. Also, the Julian Assange tweet you linked was a fake account.

    1. There must be something in the air piped into the Golden Nugget poker room that calms our Hero? Tony historically has always been well behaved there. Across the street at Binions not so much...

    2. I'm sure Tony has had his moments there. But I think the main reason is that it has the last poker room Downtown that he is allowed to play in.

    3. It was pretty remarkable - played at Binions that same night and the game was fantastic! It was like playing poker in 2007, with folks clearly unfamiliar with the game. At Golden Nugget, there were at least two BPP (BackPack Boys - "professional" players, having their packpack strapped to the back of their seat or at their feet) at every table. Pretty much the norm for Vegas now, unfortunately.

Regardless, Tony was good. He had one hand where he won a pot off a woman at the other end of the table and then launched into his normal routine of, "I only bet ___ because I was afraid she had ____ and the way she played it I thought she was gonna ____..." Tony, simply stack your chips when you win; people often get annoyed when you give details about a hand you just won.

    4. Sadly this is something Tony cannot do. There is no humbleness in the man, he just has to boast about winning a hand. Yet he gets pissed off when someone shows him a bluff that he folded on.

Posts like these will make it hard for you to find a girlfriend:

  9. Tony's jealousy over the relationships others have that he never will drives him crazy.

    1. I understand Tony's thoughts - he's a guy who wants someone to love him unconditionally.

We all want that. Tony struggles to connect his beliefs and actions to his desire for a relationship, and to reflect on how those may help or hinder his goal. Absent that reflection, and the resultant changes to beliefs/behaviors, Tony will struggle to find that unconditional love. Changing his biases about women needing to look a certain way might be a good start.
