i guess didnt talk enough before about businesses ripping me off, and now we need to talk about it once again

I havent always made the right decisions since flying out of Fort Lauderdale, but i was avoiding video blackjack at least since i was far away from the ones i was losing money on in florida. of course, most of the money i lost in florida was simply lost on living expenses. i was there over 6-7 weeks, and left with about $1000 less than i came with, and of course i spent well over $7000 to live on while i was there. so overall i didnt lose much of my poker winnings on vbj there. but when $6000 was lost in the final week, i just felt like i was, so i left.

as far as gulfstream was concerned, the only thing i ever got since that other blog was $100 in free play twice for may. one i used, and the other i left town before i could use it since it didnt start til may 16. they removed their vbj machines or at least removed vbj as one of the options u could play on that machine, and even on the remaining video craps and baccarat they ended letting u get 8x points on it during the promotions.

so all my vbj play in florida was at the other casino a mile up the road from gulfstream where they also had good PLO. gulfstream aint offered poker since the virus.

i hear alot of rooms around the country have now ended masks, supposedly for vaccinated people but they arent checking peoples papers. i wonder what casinos do when they see people they know damn well are well enough informed to never take the vaccine, and know the evils Bill gates vaccine will cause a few years down the road, but also are no longer wearing the masks since they cant ask medical questions. i was surprised to see vegas end them before the rest of the country however.

the private membership only $25 a day club here dont require it but the casinos up north still do because they have such an evil governor. she is one of the worst. plexiglass too and u cant even drink water in the poker room so u have to quit the PLO game and go find a person with a cart full of waters and coffees, or grab one upon exiting the casino.

and i got too angry and pissed in that private club to want to go back, and neither did Ray unless they start doing more omaha. i was playing just NL because the others wouldnt start round by round, and took a couple bad beats (while losing my $280 on poker bros on bad beats at the exact same time) it irriated me so much to have to play 4 handed with all them idiots nonstop straddling the button, and i just wanted to wait til more people play or til they start offering omaha everyday.

tonight in the casino i gave back most of my $300 profit in plo and left the table up a little over $100, almost took a big loss playing live BJ, but luckily i didnt and left in about 15 minutes. martingaled a few bets on a $50 minimum table, which can get expensive. only sat because of the great rules offering stand on ALL 17s, which is very rare. it also paid 3-2.

so i made either $70 or $170, because i couldnt remember how much i was in the game for.

now to talk about something else i seen in the PLO, guy next to me is HU in a pot with the other guy on the other end of the table, he is in seat 2 and im in seat 3. board is A234K and the K made a third spade.

other guy checks, and the guy made some kind of wave, but never checked, and then put out a big bet. he said he was trying to see the other guys stack, keep in mind the plexiglass makes it difficult to see.

the dealer rules he checked but he never tapped the floor, and the floor is called, tells me not to speak up since im "not in the hand" but they were doing this guy wrong, a wave isnt a check. only tapping the table is, and the one floor got the other floor and eventually its ruled he checked though he never tapped the table and the floor said other moves with the hand can be a check also. never heard of that and im sure the manager whose friends with Ray wouldnt have ruled that way. so the guy immediately quit and was still complaining at the desk when i quit soon thereafter because i was losing back all the profits.

it would be horrible if someone can force u to check when u never touch the table just because u move your hand around a bit, this could be used to angleshoot anytime someone doesnt want u to bet.

and now to talk about the new story of another business ripping me off and this happened in Holland about 60 miles south of the casino.

Ray and I found a new bitcoin atm in a gas station, and in the previrus days, toledo did not have them, u had to use one in detroit. now i know the juice is too much but remember i cant scan an ID or find someone i can pay to do it because they always give up too when they try to scan mine. and i figured for $200 id not be charged more than $20 juice, but actually got charged about $40 plus in juice when i got home and looked up the price of bitcoin. see the machine was charging $65,000 a bitcoin

the bitcoin never arrived and i emailed them the next day, and they said "the developer would try to speed up the queue" whatever that meant. no record of them sending anything appears on blockchain, because they said its stuck and not yet sent. and over 24 hours later when i emailed them again today, they still have not sent it and the second email they never answered.

at least now ive got their phone and i wont only complain to that company but to the gas station owner who probably has no clue theyre screwing people over and hopefully he will bitch to the guy who installed it enough to make them come to their senses. see it looks bad on him when people complain that a machine inside his business ripped me off of $200 and the vendors dont care.

yes i know u should not buy bitcoin thru an atm, but i was stuck that night, broke online, and just felt like playing something, and could not reach Mr Bug on twitter, who i otherwise buy from.

all good things must come to an end. what comes up, must come down.

i won over $1000 today in $1-2 PLO and yet my bankroll is $6100 less than it was just 5 days ago (and is no longer over 40k). thats a substantial portion of my lifes savings and id be out the entire roll fast at that rate. let me explain.

it all started when i went to the seminole (a casino i hate because of the plexiglass, which isnt used elsewhere in florida) and because the poker room has long waits and is far away from both where im staying, and the rest of their casino. and because of course, they dont offer $1-2 PLO. only high stakes PLO.

i went there because a guy runs a semi private game of $20-40 stud8 twice a week. by semi private i mean he brings the starting list of players, but once seats open up eventually the regular customers of the casino can sign the list for a seat. this is likely the same way the trooper and others run the vegas games.

now i havent played stud 8 in years except in a mix game format. last time i played it regularly was on paradise poker and party poker so that will give u an idea of how long ago it was. but i went there last monday and won over $600 in the game so decided i better return for the thursday night game.

i got on the text list of the guy who runs the game and he texted me to see if i was coming thursday. i told him yes, woke up, took an Uber over there, and played NL a while as i waited on 6 pm to get there. and i lost about $34 while i waited.

so i sat down with $566 of my $600 and the game got off to a slow start a bit late. i lost the $600 and rebought $500, continued to lose, and finally rebought $500 more one last time for a total of $1600.

what happened was i kept getting great starting hands. A45A first 4 and the host gets AA right over me, on both 5th and 6th. and he wins with a wheel. then multiple times i start with 4 to a low, and get KJ9 on the final 3 cards or close to it. and the final time i had 347 of clubs first 3 and then brick brick and walked out of there pissed as hell in the middle of the hand and told the host i wasnt emotionally able to take so much mental abuse. i was surprised he sent me a text asking me if i was going to come back tomorrow. and i said i cant. he must really think im the sucker.

i also told him id give his game a good write up in the blog. its a good game, the players arent that great and dont care about the money. i know because i beat it for $600 once, but the variance is just too high. plus im wondering if i got flaws in my stud8 game i dont know about, since all the years i played stud it was much lower than 20-40. i never had a roll for 20-40 when it was popular. i thought since i had over 40k i might have the roll now, but maybe i dont.

also, i hated the seminole because it only has 1 video BJ machine so u cannot get a seat by yourself. unlike where i normally play where they have 4 video blackjack games for 20 seats total.

and dont even think of playing live BJ in the seminole, i played it a short time too and lost a bit less than $100, but i sat at a $25 table and a $50 table for a short time after quitting the stud8 game, and they still hit soft 17 even at those stakes, which is ripping the customers off.

also surprisingly enough, gulfstream sent me $100 in free play twice for May, i picked up the first $100 today before i went to another casino to play poker. they removed the vbj though. except for the other type that gives hardly no points. the decent one which at times offered 8x points is gone. i guess they got too many complaints about people who bet the max bet not being able to double down.

now today, i made the mistake of not signing the poker list but going in the other entrance and straight to the bartender for water and coffee (which is urgently needed because of the heat when walking). and then playing VBJ, getting stuck quite a bit, and finally leaving when down $3800.

i then sat in the PLO with $400, instead of my usual $100 buyin. and i eventually cashed out $1470. the most i ever had was almost $1500. but the last 3-5 orbits i wasnt getting any hands. except for one hand i was upset with myself for not playing and i wondered if i was too tight since i had so many chips more than im used to on the table. i had Q2 K9 double suited, and i play that at least 50% of the time preflop, but the guy in seat 8 next to the dealer (im in seat 6) was straddling a lot mississippi straddle style. so i actually had decent position a lot because of it. and he was the loose player.

i had over $1400 already, and though i needed to triple it up to get back to even for the day still, i didnt want to risk all the work id done to get it there from just a $400 buyin. and i limped $10 preflop and i was disappointed when sure enough, he raises. then another guy raised and i knew he would reraise (he did, but i folded first) so i laid it down. and i wouldve won with a queen hi flush. board had 4 diamonds on it, including the KJ and T of diamonds. so my Q2 of diamonds was good. a straight won the huge sized pot of over $1000, and the lady in seat 5 told us all she folded the A preflop.

after this, i wondered if i played it bad, not calling the $320 it wouldve cost me total to call preflop (once he will reraise after i call and it gets back to him) and the other $400-600 the other guy goes allin for on the flop. but had i played that hand, id had over $2500 in front of me and been the chip leader.

maybe wouldve even had $3000 in front of me, i couldnt tell for sure the size of the pot.

so that had me questioning if i was playing well and then about 20 minutes later the loose guys stack went from about $700 to $1800 so i figured it was time to go before he busted me. i assume most pros think just the opposite and want the fish to have a big stack? me, i always want my opponents to be as short stacked as possible so i can be the big stack instead of them.

yeah $1070 is the biggest win i had in poker in a long time. if i could do that everytime maybe i wouldnt ever play VBJ.

im behind overall on BJ now, by quite a bit. i wasnt when i dropped the $1800 on VBJ the same night i lost the $1470 in the stud 8 game, but id given back a lot of the previous weeks profits discussed in the blog post right before this one. but today i dropped $3700 on VBJ, and then won back a bunch in poker. so yes im down on VBJ now since coming to florida. thats 2 sizeable drops in under a week and that really scares me as far as my discipline is concerned.. i guess i have no choice but to return to texas when my room ends the morning of May 12, and probably a few days before is best.
