some old stories about me years ago and a little news of my latest road trip

when i was ages 18-24 and was living on my own away from my mother, i had a very weird life. and i did many things that couldve gotten me in serious trouble to where id no longer be with u today. All the times i tried to travel by hitch hiking and the weird people that picked me up. and then the time i bought an inner tube, and tried to use it to float down the Arkansas river to another city. the time i escaped the Topeka state mental health center by stealing a van from a funeral home and driving it 250 miles to Greensburg. and got caught by the police because i could never learn to drive because i couldnt turn corners. (was trying to maneuver it up to a gas station). so when i got out, it started rolling down the hill.

as u know thats where i met my sons mother and why he ended up with autism too, although this was a different mental health center in Toledo Ohio. see me and Ray used to play poker at all the monte carlo festivals at the catholic churches there. Knights of Columbus and the american legions. she was much worse off than i was, but for a year or 2 way back then when i made my living homeless panhandling and was learning how to play poker, i used to visit her daily for 2 hours or so as a visitor.

im lucky i didnt end up in jail for life. or get killed when committing burglaries in KS out in the country and thank God people werent home (but this was before i was age 18). not everyone who breaks into your place or your church (where i found money) is out to harm enyone, some of us are scared to death to run into anyone and would run instead of fight.

On our way to Dallas from Chicago and Grand Island Nebraska (and a very brief visit of sick call mc gee and his tiny poker club in omaha) we are lucky our car with 331 thousand miles still hasnt quit running yet. we stopped in to see my mother and my son and i took him out to a miniature golf course. my mother is 83 and is in such poor health she soon wont be able to see, so Ray and I mowed her yard and got rid of the weeds.

i never expected he would drive me near this much without needing to rent a car, but i convinced him theres no way in hell we can pay 400-500 a week to rent a car, and in 2 months that saves enough to buy a used car.

i wish there was someone with a car we could buy, he prefers ones with honda engines because he says they last longer.

there is decent blackjack at a few places in Nebraska and Iowa but choctaw removed the good VBJ i talked about on the blog, and i shouldnt have told anyone about it. that must of caused hustlers to play it. Bill Potts saw a few.

and Windcreek has a great poker room outside Chicago although the games are much tighter there than in Dallas or Tulsi though i have been seeing the games here deterioriate recently players are getting quite a bit tighter than a year ago in texas.

windcreek is good because of all the free promotional money rebates they give out everyday for slot and blackjack players and all games are 3-2 and stand on all 17s. i doubt they ban card counters but i dont play high enough to know. i didnt win so im no problem.

if i could play live BJ somewhere daily it would help to keep me from playing so much online blackjack. my roll is down to only 69k after another 5000 loss today. thats why i took the rest of my bitcoin and turned it into xrp tonight.

  1. Did you check out any other Chicago area casinos? I haven't been there in a long time but the poker room in Elgin was pretty busy on a weekday morning.
I hope you are putting your bankroll to good use since it's gotten so high.

  2. Stop thinking that crypto are "investments" they are pure and simple gambles and the price, supply and demand are controlled by far more intelligent people than you or me

  3. How old is your son now? Is he working or in school?

Ray sounds like a really solid friend. It really cramps your freedom having to be responsible for the transport of others as you then are a slave to not just your schedule but theirs, on-call as driving service, and of course, you can't drink/smoke during the hours that you could possible be needed for driving. Not to mention cost of gas, wear & tear on the car, etc.

Have you guys checked ebay or facebook marketplace for a car? I know it sounds kinda crazy, but my husband got his first car for 1k on Ebay. It was a shitty, bright purple car but it worked well enough for his first job out of school when we were broke.
