well its been quite a while since i updated the blog. ive lost interest in it because it always gets me into trouble, and makes it harder to make money since i dont get paid for this blog. Plus, a lot of the readers i liked the most no longer read it. Many of them were democrats who got fed up with my beliefs. no one reads blogs anymore. Lightning and Rob Vegas Poker will remember the days people were getting offered up to $400 for advertisers to write things promoting their business on the blogs.
I still think it would be smarter to get a place for a month instead of by the week on Priceline, but i always worry my low reviews on airbnb will make it harder to get someone to agree to accept my reservation since its often mentioned i keep the place a little messy. But of course the last thing u want is to be in a hotel when u sleep during the day, u damn sure dont want housekeeping waking u up knocking on the door.
what the hell is going on with XRP still being only about $3? its getting its ETFs approved in october and a couple are going now but its still not moving up enough. by the end of the year there are an enormous amount of models expecting it to be at least $7-20 somewhere, and in 5 years 1000-10000 a coin.
im certainly saving a lot of money with Ray here. the costs of motels and food is far less than it would otherwise be. But i constantly worry about Ray losing his bankroll, although for the time being hes still doing much better than me in PLO. all my wins recently have been in NL, ive had several times ive turned $100 into over $500 in 1-3 NL.
----------------2 months later------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i am in the miami area, just got through paying for a month. all of the above is old news on a never finished blog, and im a lot poorer now than i was then with only a little over 51k and Ray too is much poorer.
i'll tell u how i won a pot in Magic city yesterday. it was my first time playing there in many years and its about the only place i can play PLO in where im not immediate recognized as a nit by sitting down with my measly $200. in Miami, most of the players in all 3 poker rooms no habla Ingles. same way if u try and ask the staff anything. and they spell Tony as Tonni when u go to sign the waitlist.
the $4 taken on $10, 2 for the rake and $2 or the jackpot, will kill u in the $1-2 NL games or smaller at quite a few rooms, but not quite all rooms thank God. but the rake here is really horrible all over this whole area all the way up to Pompano Beach.
but if u stick to only playing PLO everywhere u wont notice the rake since u arent playing any pots of $10. and im surprised how many players seem to know me from somewhere but not here at magic city. i made it $40 preflop (blinds are $1-2-10) and got like 6 callers, so that tells u its loose. flop comes 10 3 4 all in diamonds and ive got A5 diamonds A6 spades in my hand.
i bet pot, guy check raises me, another guy calls and we all get it in and go twice and like most places they take more if u run it twice. i hate this because it discourages people from running it twice. i had to offer to pay the rake for him to get a guy to go twice the other day at a different place. Turn card is an ace, so now i dont have to worry about losing with my nut flush if the board pairs. turns out the other 2 players had the king high flush (the check raisor) and the caller had the jack hi flush along with 2 pair on the flop.
But that just goes to show u how loose the action is.
about the only poker win ive had. ive had a few live blackjack wins at the seminole, but also a loss of 11-13k online where all my bitcoin disappeared again. its why the roll is low. that and giving Ray money. the games in Tampa were awful nitty games, but winning here is easier. had a few other wins since leaving Tampa and Jacksonville. the worst loss was the huge live blackjack loss in Biloxi where the Palace casino threw me out for counting cards even when i was stuck $811 at the time and then i went to Treasure island and blew over 1800 more.
ill be glad when the shutdown ends so xrp can finally start moving up. its certainly much less than $3 now.
