roll is still increasing here in deadwood

Okay, im back to the most i had before i left Reno. the $3500 or so ive spent on hotels and airbnbs up til september 2nd ive gotten it all back now. $32,900. i would say about $2100 of it was won on poker here in deadwood (mostly in 1 session of $5-5 blinds) and about $1500 on video blackjack. also i keep forgetting about the $150-200 rebate form im supposed to be filling out to get my denver hotel money back from United airlines. no wonder they dont pass out cash or hotel vouchers in the airport they know people will find it to be a pain in the ass, especially since u need a home address to have a check mailed to.

ive never played the bigger game at cadillac jacks but once and only for a short time. and that is the bigger game with $5-10 blinds with a $10-300 spread that goes on wednesdays. if i remember right i got about $120 ahead and quit. it was on a previous visit.

Bill Potts told me he played in it recently in deadwood, and won $6000 in it. the other players remember him, but dont think he won that much, and i dont know the details but i understand Josh got pissed off at him.

they recently started having $5-5 blinds with a $200 minimum buyin and a $200 cap on the betting. this game wasnt around on my last trip to deadwood. since the min buyin is only $200, and not $500 like the other big game on wednesdays, i feel like ive finally got the bankroll to afford to sit in it. (of course i dont know if i really do, because u can lose $200 preflop (or more if raised) $200 more on the flop, $200 more on the turn, etc. but of course if u only have $200 or $400 in front of u, then u wont lose over $1000 on a hand. i moved over to the game with about $260 left of the $352 i was in for in the $3-50 spread limit game with $1-3 blinds thats their main game most days.

and when i lost it i only rebought $200 more, then $200 more when i lost the stack again. eventually i was stuck over $750 when i rebought the final $800 buyin all at once. and after that i started winning, and eventually had well over $3000 in front of me. earlier i was taking a lot of bad beats from Merle, whose an extremely loose player and was in the game well over $5000 and kept writing and cashing checks to rebuy. i would have JJ preflop and lose to A3 on a flop of 332. i would flop a set after raising allin with JJ on his $40 straddle and flopping J93 turn A river 3. then id discover he had AA on his straddle. and another time he had 79 offsuit called my $290 allin with my AQ of diamonds, and lost when he paired his 7 on the river. he put a $20-60 straddle out an awful lot in the first few hours then suddenly quieted down and quit the last 2 hours.

i wish i could remember all the hands i won but i only remember flopping an ace high flush once and getting calls all the way til the river.

i still dont know a lot of stuff about how to use this android phone, but i did finally learn how to get rid of some of the icons in the top left corner once ive already looked at them. also i think im going to have to try to reopen an old wells fargo account while im here.

$28,800 and a new verizon phone

After a lot more coin in here in deadwood on the VBJ and one failed attempt to play poker because there wasnt players to start a game, im now at about $40,000 in coin in (total amount of money bet on video blackjack, won or lost) since coming to deadwood. the good news is im no longer out about $5000 on the video BJ. instead, i came here with $5960 when i stepped off the plane here in rapid city. most all of the money i spent since then has not been cash, but has come out of my bank account. all my different hotels i stayed at, my airbnbs, and my reservations still not checked into thats good up til september 2nd, were all paid for by my debit atm bank card. so i have quite a bit less in the bank than i did.

but my $5960 in cash? at one point, after all those losses, (early wins briefly put me at $6672) i was down to about $1030. thats when i mentioned the big loss in my last blog. as of today though, after getting a new phone with verizon for better service and so i could use my phone as a wifi hotspot, and now having my own bill in my own name instead of vinces, i still have $5630 on me. and todays $300 i spent ($87 on cab to spearfish and back along with about an hours waiting time). and about $200 more on the phone and hooking it up with unlimited everything monthly service at $70 a month.

so without spending that $300 id be about exactly the same $5960 i came with. and since ive spent about $22 on one poker session, and about $100 worth of cab fares or miscellanous purchases since coming here not made with a debit card, im probably overall about $100 ahead for about 40,000 worth of coin in.

a cell tower got knocked out by an electrical crew today so it wasnt only sprint not working for a while today, my cab driver she couldnt get service for nothing driving around and kept trying to reach her night shift person coming on duty. hopefully this will be fixed if i wake up at 3am and want a ride into deadwood. and i also own 2 phones now. also have 2 phone numbers since i didnt have all the info to transfer my old account over, and i hope to soon see if this can be resolved, but im not sure. i guess i could only use the new verizon one for now and later have vince turn the other one back on if i left the deadwood area?

also none of the important things like poker records and contacts could be transferred over since its an android. i was told if i wanted an iphone without credit, it would be $600 and the android was only $100. so im going to be without a lot of important records. this is why i should save both phones and someday reuse the other one again if in detroit or reno.

i will be glad once i get out of where im staying now and into the airbnb. will tell u why later when im no longer here, but its a better place to stay for a variety of reasons ill explain later.

life in deadwood during the summer

for the first time ever since coming to deadwood, ill have a place to stay during the motorcycle rally, and i hope the games will be good then. i paid for 3 different places to live, about $3000 in total, and all of which are nonrefundable if i want to leave town early.

but im going to need to get a wifi stick for my laptop when living in some of those places but not all. i am paid up thru september the 2nd, and then prices will start coming down, but officially winter and the much lower prices dont set it til the month of october, what i wanted was a year round low cost place to live here. so if im constantly playing video BJ all the time in reno anyway, at least ive got a better machine to play on.

i thought $32,000 would be enough to live on and never go broke but im down to $25,000 now. i only had $24,000 yesterday til i won back a little over $1000 back this morning. im still out about $4000 on the video blackjack since coming to deadwood. and i only played poker once, because im not sleeping the right hours for poker and when i played it was 145 am til 355 am in saloon 10 on friday night.

seems to be a new laundrymat here in deadwood without going to Lead for one, but it will be a while still before i need to use it, since i washed everything in reno.

i accidently left my phone in the cab last night but i got it back for a $10 delivery charge, but i need a new phone anyway, this one almost impossible to charge anymore without taking it to a store to be cleaned again and sprint doesnt work here. i need vinces account number and pin texted to me so i can go to verizon and unattach the phone from his bill and keep my same phone number in my name. and i need to get wifi there too

and to get my $200 back from united for the hotel that night in denver, i need an address to have a check mailed to. i thought id be able to get steady housing here for my citizenship but its not cheap enough for long term yet. and i really need to see a doctor because my stomach composes almost my entire self and i really need to figure out how to reduce the size of it and if i got any unknown issues like diabetes coming on.

got to start trying to sleep earlier so i can wake up about 7pm so i can play poker instead of nothing but VBJ all night when its empty but im worried ill go thru way too much of the roll considering how horrible the first 48 hours went. at least i recovered a little today.

still feel like i shouldve went to Rays house instead, but i had to book the non refundable places right away because i was worried where id stay during the rally if i didnt.

i dont think God wanted me to fly to deadwood tonight

im in a hotel in Aurora colorado not far from the denver airport. i was on the way to rapid city from reno and it stops in denver on the way. i made it when stuck a shit ton of cash in blackjack this morning, which i ended up later getting back and winning $800 but i couldve lost the entire $5000.

plus i was disgusted the video BJ in baldinis was still down and id took the uber there for nothing i was told they were updating the system and id won so much when i found the machine still down out of service for the 2nd time over 24 hours later and still unable to play, i was worried the new software update would might change the payout on BJ.

so since my month in sparks was up in the RV i had rented for june 18 to july 18 and he had a new tenant waiting to move in, i moved out. the landlord supplied all the hookups and it was parked in his driveway. again, had i knew how long id be staying and kept in better touch, i mightve not lost the opportunity to renew it for a longer term.

there was no tv in there, and i couldnt get the hot water to work so well. and i didnt want anyone to know i was living in an Rv because i was afraid theyd figure out the address of where i was.

so i decided to fly to deadwood for a week or longer but the cost of hotels is too much. especially since my offers in the grand have expired as far as comp rooms. and had i stayed in reno id have a ton of rooms.

now as to why my plane got cancelled, which i didnt find out about til after i reached denver. i think i heard its a staffing issue, which they refused to give details about, but it seems a ton of people decided to walk off the job, because many flights were affected and only UNITED flights. i guess spirit and allegiant and frontier are much better to fly than the major carriers.

so its 11.20pm and im in a hotel that cost me $223 because of all the hotels overbooking due to a huge influx of people suddently needing a hotel room and even the motel 6 shot up to $195 a night.

and the airplane will reimburse hotel transportation or meals but only up to $200 and i spent more than that. i couldve taken $150 to sleep inside the airport but i dont always do the smart thing. and of course its a check they mail to u, u dont get cash at the airport like they should give u. lots of them are far more cash poor than me. i was at 32k so i prepaid the expenses tonight upfront like a motherfucker.

and right now im praying ill get my refund for the $100 i spent booking a room at a deadwood hotel, i have no idea whats going on, hoping to hear back. i thought id be in town before midnite but ill be there around noon. thats if this 7am flight dont get cancelled and im awake in time to be at the airport and thru security to make a 7am flight

sometimes i wonder if i shouldve just immediately got off the plane and booked a $700 uber into deadwood and just slept the whole way in.

but it sure seems to me someone is trying to fix it so i cant fly to deadwood ive never had this type of cash to play the vbj before and deadwood has a machine no one else in the country still has, the one in the Bullock 4 of 6 deck shufflemaster of 2006

i tried the hotel right at the airport terminal but they wouldve been about $580 so i canceled that idea. im shocked at the prices tonight due to all these people suddenly wanting a hotel room. i remember when i could find rooms for $60-80 on weekends in lakewood colorado

$30,000 once more

Its been a long time since ive won in $1-2 NL, and if it werent for my wins in video blackjack, mostly at Baldinis where ive got 360 tickets for this fridays drawings if i want to spend the whole day tied up with nothing to do there, because between 11am and 8pm theres probably other people on the VBJ then. i always play all my video BJ in the middle of the night and early morning so i can play without being disturbed or asked to give up a spot. but thats a lot of tickets. especially now that i found out they call 100 different names. u get a ticket for every 100 points, which is $50 in coin in. so i had 18,000 in coin in. now at a 99.3 return, i should be down about $150 but instead im up about $4000. how is this mathamatically possible?

i wish that I, like Robvegaspoker, remembered hands. he probably doesnt and just writes it down immediately in his cell. but id like to discuss one hand before i forget about it. Except for having AQ suited once when my stack was short, and the flop being A44 and i bet the last $40 or so allin, and the caller of my preflop raise having A4 offsuit and flopping a boat, this is about the only loss that i remembered tonight.

i had 77 and made it $10 preflop. flop comes KK7. a guy bets $10, a guy calls, both old men coffee morning regulars. i bet $25 and they both call and since i havent been winning im hoping for a big pot here and im praying no high cards hit that could be their kicker. 5 comes on the turn, they check, i bet $55 and im raised allin and the other guy folds i have to call of course, expecting to be against a king with a good kicker. he has K5 offsuit and hit the 5?

and then today i couldnt get my seat in the $3-5 because they were too many others on the list. they wouldnt start it til 1pm, and i was one of 5-6 people sitting there at 12.30 but i was too far down on the list. had they been willing to play shorthanded instead of waiting til 1pm, id have already been in the game when it started. were i not going to sleep now though, id get a seat today. but im not going to play the morning sessions any more if i can help it. its hard for me to change my sleep hours most of the time but its critical to play in the evenings if u play $1-2 NL. no wonder so many people say to play higher if u are doing it for extra income. i used to do well in it, but maybe i just thought i was and the money was actually being won in PLO.

i wonder who joe and Mr B are who munchkin, whose got just as weird and funny a voice as me, but i dont recognize it as someone i would ever know who he is in person. but hes got them in an interview i spent an hour listening to. its only the second podcast of his i ever watched. but if u listen to it, the team aspect sounds like fun and would be something id like to do but id have a hard time trusting someone with my money.

im finally up to $29,000 now and i never got around to playing $3-5 NL today, though there were 3 tables and i looked at the game. i certain wasnt going to sit at the main table where Karen was. i never needed to move today because my $1-2 was looser than usual and i ended up breaking the ice and winning a little over $200 in it. maybe because i spent $45 for the massage, which is also something i rarely do

so i got my host at the silver legacy to give me a free room for 2 nights saturday and sunday. wouldnt have even been in the silver legacy were it not for running into Benny in the sports book in baldinis. but thanks to him, i ended up here, where i won $174 on the golden egypt and $70 on the ocean magic an hour later. and over $350 on blackjack. (with another $140 won on second session many hours later). But the poker? as usual im losing my ass. im down to less than $1000 in winnings for the month of July, when at one point i was over $2000 in poker profits for this month. 

i played $1-3 NL this morning and the game here in the legacy was much looser than the morning game at the Peppermill, maybe the fact it was the weekend had something to do with it, or maybe more tourists play here since its downtown. or maybe its because the rake is more, which keeps the nits away. one of the biggest nits walked up to me while i was playing whose a peppermill regular and asked me if the rake here is still $4 plus $2.

and i started off with $104 and had it up to $392 but then things started to go wrong and i left broke a couple hours later, then went to my room and slept for 6 hours. i would list the hands in here but as usual since i dont write them down i dont remember any of them. all i remember is getting away with a couple bluffs or id not won any hands at all. i do remember one good fold i made with JJ preflop when id have lost to AA

so tonight when i lost again at poker, over $400 in $1-3 NL and then another $325 in their $3-5 game next to yoshis friend @andyavalanche, i just didnt feel like playing any more poker. in fact all i really want to do is to play the 2 good type of video blackjack machines but both are in deadwood and room prices are up to around $5000 a month til the end of august right now. 

so i decided to return home and pick up all the laundry which needs washed that i can drop off at a laundry room tomorrow where theyre going to wash and dry it for me. i couldve used a 24 hour laundry room, but im not sure where to find a good one in reno where its safe to be in the middle of the night with a few thousand in cash on me where there is both wifi to use my laptop, plenty of security or employees around and no bums to bother me like the one in sparks nearby that has absolutely no one in it at night where i might feel unsafe if young gang looking members walked in.

u cannot ever walk under the I-80 bridge in sparks between baldinis and home without walking by people who live and panhandle besides the overpass.

and i also picked up my laptop to update my blog, and the uber driver took me because he was on his way home to fernley and didnt realize id make a 2nd trip into downtown. and by the time we got downtown a new rider was then waiting for him it had given him to pick up next upon dropping me off. 

i got another Uber driver to give me her phone for a long distance trip if i ever went to elko, chico, redding or sac or thereabouts who likes longer rides. its a black girl in her 40s ive ridden with many times. a lot of drivers dont like long rides so its best to have one in mind for them. 

now im starved, but i do have about $35 in comps here still so i think ill go grab some food to take to the room as soon as i finish up this blog. at least with one more good win in baldinis tonight (this was when i left the silver legacy stuck $578 and before i picked up the laundry at home and laptop) i got unstuck on the video BJ in baldinis and won another $88 besides. for over $650 in total winnings there, so now i know for sure im about $5000 in winnings in the machine there. no idea why. so im still over $30,000 again for the first time in 2-3 years. ive not had this since how ever long ago it was when alaska gal drove me to reno.

unbelievably huge wins on machines lately

I'll bet the management of Baldinis is wondering why im still ahead about $3000 overall from all the times i played video BJ in there, i remember one big losing session of $500-1500 and 4 big winning sessions of $500 or more. the machine is NOT paying out over 100 in the long run, only about 99.3 and shuffles every hand.

and in the GSR on the same machine (rules, only difference is the minimum bet is $3 instead of $1) ive lost most of the time about the same amount as baldinis, although the last couple times ive been on it ive won over $1000. so im now up to $133 worth of comps in there, plus theyre still giving me $50 twice a week in free play along with a suite 2 nights a week, including weekends. but i dont remember ever winning in their poker room i think my phone showed me losing about $45 an hour in their $1-2 games.

and i went out to Tahoe with Bill Potts the other day. first we stopped in the crystal Bay to do the $50 atm promotion, then i won over $90 on the vulturable machines in the Biltmore since theyres no hustlers around there. then i lost quite a bit playing live BJ in the Lakeside in south lake tahoe, and spent about an hour in their poker room. the manager remembered me since his friend was the cabbie who took me to vegas for $800 many years ago. their $1-2 NL game doesnt last long because they break it for the tournament then the nights over. if u play live BJ dont play the double deck, they cut off half the deck, then only deal 2-3 hands at a full table then shuffle. play the shoe but its still not cut near deep enough.

i got tired long before he did so i paid him to return to reno, thru way of carson and investigated a casino there on the way home. couldnt find the full pay deuces, they must of removed them from fandango.

then today i was losing again in the NL $1-2, and a day or two ago i dropped over $800 in the game playing when too tired and in a hurry to get even. so i decided that with over $25,000 i had plenty for $3-5 NL, and decided to move over to it with $224.

i often dont play because theyre much friendlier in the $1-2 and dont take the money seriously like they do in $2-5, the grinders mostly sit in bigger games. the asian guy Young sat next to me and wouldnt chop with me, but did with others and he also told the dealer i needed to move over even though i felt i was in my right spot. so i moved to the other side so i wouldnt need to surrender my $3 to his $5 all the time. then i had position on him, so then he straddles $10 every button. glad i dont act first in this room when they do. all rooms should do it in the same order as they do here, the wynn and in deadwood. and i thought the guy on the other end was mocking my buyin when he asked what the minimum was. id moved over with $124 from the NL i was losing in, and added $100 more so it would be over $200 and i didnt even take the $24 off to shortstack it. and the blues not playing annoys me too, the only reason for it is to make a guy who loses his whole stack feel obligated to tip the dealer for making him lose. no logical reason for it, but to fuck the player out of his last few chips into the pockets of the dealer.

but then i started winning like crazy, id raise to $10 or $15 often on the button, and every time the BB would surrender his $5, no matter how little i raised and it shocked me. is this normal in higher limits?

and by the time the dealer had left the box, who usually isnt fond of me, id tipped him multiple times and was over $600.

and then the key hand happened with the new dealer. i raised to $30 over a $10 bet, or straddle, and seat 3 old guy goes allin, or actually he made it $30 i bet $105, then he bets allin and has me covered. i called of course because i had AA. he has AJ offsuit, and the flop comes 66J 8 A so he mightve thought he was good til he seen my hand.

he rebought $800 immediately so i had no choice but to leave, because then i thought he was targeting me. i was uncomfortable since i had over $1200 in front of me and the asian next to me had me covered too. im not used to these chip stacks. also he was the same guy who commented on what the min buyin was.

and my aaa66 held up for highest full house of the hour for $50 more. but when i moved back to $1-2 while i waited the rest of the hour out, i lost again in $1-2. so i lost about $300 in $1-2 while winning $1000 in $3-5, maybe i should play $3-5 more often.

yeah it was a lot easier to win there than in $1-2 but i think it was luck because most of them were good regulars at my table.

the day before i caught myself playing awful in $1-2, i think its due to how much easier its been to win and much more enjoyable to win on video BJ lately. there were 5 tourists id never seen instead of all the regulars every day. one black guy is in the pot and 6 called my $13 preflop raise in EP. flop comes 772 and i worry someone has a 7, but i felt obligated to bet my QQ. he is last to act and only he calls. turn comes 10. i check he snap shoves his last $70 or more. i folded and then he showed 55. worst fold i ever remember myself making, especially for the size of the pot. i just felt like someone had to have a 7 with that many in preflop.

so now my bankroll is $27,500 and thats the most its been in ages.

$25,000 plus, now for how long?

well for the first time in a long time im writing a new blog entry with a bankroll of over $2500. and my win rate for the month of July is already about the same as the entire month of May. June ended up with a win rate in poker of slightly over $4000. and Bill Potts will be returning to reno from Germany to pick up his car in another day.

the one tooth i had on top thats still there but isolated between several missing teeth i think is finally starting to give out, i havent noticed any sensibility to cold yet with it but i felt sore a couple times and it doesnt look very good but i dont know any good IV dentists in reno i can see immediately like i couldve in vegas and the one oral surgeon who removed a tooth before the time cooldave was here years ago u have to set up an appointment well in advance to see him.

the Bible tells us we will know we are true followers of Jesus if men will say all manner of vile evil against u and persecute u, and we all know that this happens to me. the Bible tells us men will not want to hear the truth. and the Bible says that Jesus will tell many who call themselves christians to depart from him, that he never knew them.

was glad to discover Benny from roughing the punter was a republican yesterday and i never knew it.

one of the dealers got mad at me for saying something against demon rats, so i guess he must be a democrat. they only say no politics to those who are republican. with my worries about being robbed since its so common lately in the rio parking garage, and ive worried a lot in the past about detroit parking garages, why would i ever vote for a democrat? they encourage violence, see the portland mayor and antifa and the beating of a prominent asian conservative gay journalist, protect illegals whove committed violent crimes from being deported etc, and yet JJ and Jamie think i should be one.

i keep winning hands and having good luck on machines, and ive no idea why. got a lot of high hands recently too, which held up for the hours posted. yesterday i had JK suited and the game had started to loosen up but i was pretty tired. flop comes TQ3 with 2 of the wrong suit. i call a small bet, turn comes 3rd card of that suit and i fold. got away cheap, but overall i win.

lightning should reread that verse in ezekial he quoted me, where God says vengeneance is mine, he will repay, means that we arent supposed to take matters into our own hands like he tried to do. besides in my opinion if a woman gets fired at a christian school, she is probably trying to teach improper doctrine or not follow the laws of God and maybe deserves it. maybe he should tell more of the story so i wont think this.a church shouldnt hire someone who dont abide by its beliefs.
