Any advantage slot hustlers in the Laughlin area?

not counting Benny of course who did me wrong a couple years ago when Dustin was here, but maybe some people Mickey knew in the 1990s who are still alive today and still living in the same place?

theres only 1 way to really hustle the casino and make money here in Laughlin, and it isnt from playing poker at Harrahs or the riverside, where the dealers hand deal instead of using a machine where u have to worry u might be cheated if u dont tip $5 on every $40 win. Harrah closes their poker room most of the week, and usually only has NL on weekends. only the riverside has it every day either one or two tables. most of their games are $2-10 spread limit with a highly unbeatable rake. u put in $10 one other guy puts in $10, and they take $2 plus $2 out for the rake and BBJ. so either u lose $10 or win $6, $5 if u tip.

this is one of the reasons i liked playing so much at the sahara and at resorts, the lack of any promo drop. it really counts up over 8 hours of play every single day.

live BJ sucks too because its too crowded to get a table by yourself and just like in poker a lot of games are hand shuffled. and they will cheat u just like i would swear i was being cheated in Sparks outside of Reno at John Asquagas Nugget. its why i wont play unless its a 6 deck or 8 deck shoe.  no true counter would ever play anything but a shoe because its the only way to hide the fact u are counting and where u wont get preferential shuffled on good counts.

and there is no one playing the advantage play slots. no one. the casino is almost completely dead in the middle of the night. so checking them is worthless unless u are going to be walking by the machine anyway. u sure wouldnt make a special trip and maybe even if in the long run u would gain an average of 72 cents each visit its not worth the gas, the bus fare, or the long walk from the riverside to the Pioneer.

Laughlin is not near as bad as vegas because u dont hear of murders or shooting here with the exception of a motorcycle rally many years ago. But i still dont feel comfortable on the riverwalk at night, or even the main drag between Harrahs and Riverside. i was leaving the riverside poker room the other night and since the restarunt is closed in the middle of the night at the Pioneer i went ahead and walked it so i could grab food in the convenience store. there are 2 and i didnt realize the first one by the edgewater wouldnt be 24 hours.

i saw a drunk guy outside it i assumed must be homeless because theres a lot of homeless people who go here to be away from as bad as vegas is and to hide out away from others and cops. it scared me when i couldnt get inside the first conveinence store that he was also wanting to go in and found closed so he said "ill walk up the street with u" to the other store. i felt hyper paranoid, especially with $2500 or so on me, but of course he didnt know that. i wouldve still felt like i might get robbed and stabbed if i had only $50 on me.

then when i walk inside the store i lose him but then when hes buying cigarettes the cashier is IDing him even though its obvious he is 45-60 yrs old. and then his ID wont scan and he calls out to me over by the Subway sandwich shop inside if i can scan mine so he can get his cigarettes.

now personally i would feel like the law would crack down on this far more than some cashier not scanning a guys ID whose that old. and it shouldnt be allowed. but i did it just so he wouldnt pick a fight or cause a scene and the cashier sold him the cigarettes. at least he had a $20 and didnt ask me to pay for them. i found out for sure (after i bought the subway food) that he had left going back in the other direction before i continued to my motel.

maybe he wasnt homeless and was only drunk, but still having someone approach u outside a closed store and saying ill walk with u is a very frightening experience to a guy who cannot fight.

and all the guys i see checking the slots when theres been no one playing them and only a ton of hustlers checking them, well maybe 1-3 a night is all, get an attitude too and nasty when i explain why theyre wasting their time since no one ever plays them. i know these guys have to be homeless or theyd have a better attitude and almost all the hustlers in most vegas casinos are or they wouldnt waste their time. these guys rarely find a single play and the play might be worth far less than $1. this is why i dont bother with it unless im in the casino anyway and bored.

the only reason others do it (unless u are like Mickey Crimm in a place all to yourself) is because they are broke and desperate for money. like the homeless black guy i seen at the silver legacy who checked the same Ocean Magic 3 different times when i was close to it over 90 minutes and i finally told him no one had played it the whole time and then he got a nasty attitude and said that i wasnt his kind, and i know by that he meant my color, so he is racist.

and they never want to talk to u they always say to get away from me. so they want to waste their whole day doing hard work making nothing when i could easily teach them how to make a shit ton of money or give them cash to walk me around like Mickey did and show me anything in Laughlin they know that i dont.

theres real ways to make money hustling and its not slots. its live blackjack and poker. (and the machine BJ at the Pioneer) the last surviving dealers angels around, which im now up over $6000 on.

its very rare to be up this much on it and still not had a losing session. maybe im just overdue.

where should i go?

its difficult to decide where to go to play good poker all 24 hours a day. every place i can think of has something about it i dont like. Name a city and ill tell u. some cities games break in the middle of the night, some cities it costs way too much for a hotel or airbnb, and some cities have a lack of omaha. and some places the cost of Uber is too much.

Vince is planning to have his brother in Dallas and family visit for a week or so soon so vegas wont really be the best place not even considering theres quite a few places i cant visit anymore in vegas to go play.

and even though Ray fixed his car, i dont think he wants to drive to Ypsilanti or detroit a lot. hes not been playing any poker or machines lately. although i wish it was only machines he wouldnt play.

theres not many places left i havent had a chance to visit with decent poker. many a few places in washington state, montana, new hampshire, florida, texas, chicago, pennsylvania, and mississippi. some of the poker rooms i wanted to visit someday never reopened after the virus.

its a shame the casino im currently at for a few days doesnt allow microwaves in the rooms. and i seriously need to have my toenails that wont cut cut again too, so i wish i was by that same spa in reno or san antonio but im not. at least not yet.

one thing u guys might be surprised to hear is that im actually winning $3000 or so on VBJ in the last 2 days or so. (well at least for now at the time im writing this.) possibly i wont be by the time its published. i will say, it makes a difference what type of VBJ u are on. im on a machine that shows when it shuffles and pays 3-2 and allows surrender.

but heres the bad news. Ive got a terrible addiction to online BJ. it was costing me money at Vinces house in Vegas, and also times before that which ive likely forgotten. and it cost me a lot in El Paso too, during the times i was winning a ton of money at the Sun city club there in live cash games. thats why i left El paso so id play live BJ instead.

and i actually made about $500 or so in live BJ in vegas between the Palms and the Golden Gate and the D and Circa.

i would swear in the past year, ive lost at least $10,000 to online BJ. thats a significant part of my yearly income.

the only way i know i could truly quit is to ask cashapp to block me from buying bitcoin so i couldnt use it for gambling anymore. but then what would i do if i really needed bitcoin for something else, such as online poker?

yeah i won over $3000 on the dealers angels VBJ these past few days, and then threw away $2500 of it online til my online BJ was all gone yesterday about 1pm before i went to sleep. i was really wanting to quit but never could get unstuck so i could stop playing and it doesnt take too many martingales to be out a lot.

i think the reason i am willing to play online is because emotionally ive often seen myself lose when im gambling live with an edge live, so i feel like in the long run it doesnt matter if its plus ev or minus ev and if i can bet with an edge or not. and for a gambler thats the wrong way to think. its just that ive lost so many times in live casino settings with a big plus count its hard to stop these feelings from flooding in.

this is also why im willing to play the 6-5 VBJ at resorts world, i feel like it doesnt matter if its 6-5 or 3-2, i can win on the 6-5 and lose on the 3-2 the opposite of what should happen happens so many times. yet thats not the right way to think.

Looks like i didnt publish a single blog in all of december. of course what about Rob or Lightning? im not the only one who stopped publishing the blog.

i havent been winning at poker ever since i took that RV for a month in el paso on airbnb. paid $2100 and i guess it emotionally made me feel stuck and i must chase it back immediately. i thought id return but i guess i wont be returning to el paso.

of course, had i not blew over $5000 on online blackjack while in El Paso, id still had over 40 today instead of under 40. i once had over 47k and now i have over 37k.

Vegas is the worst place in the country to go to play poker. im not winning here. im out about $2000 since coming to vegas and a little more than half of it was not lost at poker but on the machines at resorts world, with lower paybacks and no comps. i dont have any free rooms there. the nicer the casino the lower the comps. or maybe since i play poker they never send offers.

i had to go to the poker palace in north las vegas to win $505 friday night. a place where even lightning was afraid to go.

Thank God for good friends like Vince i dont know what id do if i couldnt go get sleep at his place when i have no room.

i didnt go to the strip last night i heard it was all going to be blocked off for new years. so i went to boulder station the game was still full at 430am, which is unusual. the NL game i mean. but i couldnt win. eventually quit when the game broke down $25 and made it home down $75 after a little video poker.

and that game even had bad players in it. Unlike the all bomb pot games at resorts world filled with nothing but pros.

at least im still getting some free play for January which i thought id no longer have, but it cant be picked up til Jan 2. and i can no longer use my free nights on weekends. i just gave them far less action the last few months as i did over the summer.

and im out of books again, and Vegas is the worst place in the country to find good used Christian books. theres a great store in Bossier city and one in Stone Oak but those arent in any states im nearby.

so ive got to pick up that before i go to los angelos to play a little poker, or to seattle, or to reno or Houston. at least by the time i pick a flight southwests troubles should be over. at least they delayed 2 more years the need to show ID when flying.

my new phone isnt setup to auto login me in to approve blog comments. ive got to find the password again.

you might think im dumb to pay for a place to live in el paso and then leave 2 weeks early, but isnt this what everyone else does when visiting vegas? (i mean to have a place to live they are paying for somewhere else). i only wish i hadnt spent $70 on food the day before i left to fill up the fridge.

i wonder if the reason im out so much money is God punished me for not going to KS to see my mother and my 31 year old son?
