i wish i wouldnt have missed out on that $40

I had a lot of misconceptions about the place i rented on my birthday for a month thats turned out to be not true. for one the gym isnt open. at least not in the middle of the night at 4am when i investigated. i have no idea about other hours. and of course the biggest one, i didnt have a full size freezer and fridge like the pictures looked like i would. and theres a $10 charge to use the luggage cart to bring groceries to the room (and of course no charge for using it to bring luggage).

yeah me renting this place for a month for $3913 started a large downhill slide. i felt insanely rich when i had $57,000 and thought i was far richer than i really was. ive never stayed at a place i consider to be really luxurious and i thought a high rise apt on the strip attached to a casino would be that. also i didnt realize id have no laundry facilities of any type either to wash clothes. Thank God for Vince.

Speaking of Vince im proud of him because for the first time ever, he actually won money in a poker tourney at south point tonight. almost $1000 but a little less especially after his big tip since hes a dealer at Ballys.

were i not to have rented this place (and then had an issue with not being able to get my in room safe to lock) i wouldnt have put $10k in front money in a casino and then lost it playing BJ. most of it anyway. about 8k of it was lost on BJ and the rest was what i was down on VP before i went to play BJ. but it sure was a good plus count when i bet 3 spots of $1200 that final hand (and then lost 4 bets of $1200). i still have $1000 in front money i havent yet touched.

and im still trying to work this bankroll back to the right side of 45-50 instead of 40-45. the loss Monday evening of $1200 in the red rock on Big split poker and BJ didnt help. i wouldnt have kept playing so much had the stadium BJ, which everyone knows only gives 1 point for every $12 in bets, not been overpaying so much and giving $1 dollar bet 1 point in error.

if anyone wants to know if its still overpaying by mistake it wouldnt be too hard to find which terminal it was at red rock.

the poker game broke up about 5am, way too early to buy food at the grocery store (and i was out) or id have left then. but i was still out about $180 for the night. but not as bad as the $400 i was out when id left the game at resorts. i was doing really bad at resorts in a very short time period losing multiple buyins so i left for red rock where there was $1-2 and $2-5 still going.

intended to sit in $2-5 but i didnt like which seat was open, so i sat in $1-2. but it was much looser than the normal $1-2 red rock game. but it didnt last very long.

Later i did get seat 2 in the $2-5 but it was only 4 handed by then and didnt last long either. so i went back to the machine. i lost quite a bit in big split before i went to the BJ machine.

Had a weird dream last night about being asked if anyone knew how to sing the song "are u washed in the blood of the lamb" at the poker table. the whole table was singing at first then stopped while i sang an entire verse and chorus by myself while everyone was looking at me in amazement. not as weird as the dream a couple days earlier where a bunch of resorts world dealers were having women undress to shower at the table by force, but still its weird the odd types of dreams i have.

seen lightning recently and Thank God he brought a cat with him this time to drive us around in. made life a whole lot easier and i got to show him a new casino he wrote about on his blog which u should  read. his blogroll is in the link to the right which u wont see unless u are looking at the blog from a laptop webpage instead of a cell phone.

Vince brought me the books mom sent for my birthday and some big size trash bags i requested to throw all the food trash out of my place for the month. and then i got to play both $5-5 PLO (a rarity) and bomb pot this evening. won at both.

there was also something going on called Dice poker tourney, but i googled it to see what it was and google came up empty. it was some private groups tourney, i highly doubt they use actual dice. i didnt see any.

Maybe its sponsored by andrew dice clay?

now about the title of this post, since im running out of money i turned down $40 a week or so ago and that was dumb of me. i was outside of walmart awaiting my Uber. and some lady who looked homeless and had been standing there outside the store forever offered me $40 to ride in my Uber to where she was going. i guess maybe she had no phone and no way to call Uber? or whoever was picking her up never showed? i couldnt believe she had money i saw a bunch of $20s when she pulled out the $40  but i thought something was weird when she went to hand it to me if she could ride along and i have no idea where she wanted to go or if she wouldve ran up a much bigger bill than $40 once i got out where i was headed on her way home. but i guess i shouldve accepted the $40 and offered her a ride. i just thought it was so weird i was going to be setup in some way, or demanded the $40 back while in the Uber, etc.

she also had groceries but far less than mine.

do not trust this computer repairman

as many of u know i recently took my computer in for service. (it was because the mouse had stopped working). and the computer was bought about a year ago in a walmart in Louisiana right before i went to reno before the wsop last year. i cant remember the exact month, although it would likely be searchable in the older blogs history. the place i took it to for service was the same place Allen (the guy who runs the bomb pot games) took my phone to for service when he accidently dropped and broke it and offered to pay for fixing it. and since i had the broken laptop with me at the time, i went along and took it in too.

i got the phone back from Allen a couple days later and it works absolutely fine, but when i went to claim the computer, the employee there said it was fixed, but then i couldnt turn the computer on and neither of us knew why and it eventually ended up being 5 days or so before i got it back. he claimed the motherboard had went out and replaced it with a new motherboard for $110.

now there was nothing wrong with the motherboard when i took it in, only the mouse had stopped working. to be more specific, the mouse was jumping around like crazy all over the page, changing sizes of type  and pages, etc. and i looked up how to fix it and i turned off an on off switch on my touchpad, and then i couldnt switch the mouse back to on.

this is how i know he (the computer repairman) isnt honest. i got an email from Yelp thanking me for my review. and i knew i hadnt posted a review, so i went to look at it and it was from one of my emails, claiming he did great work, fast and cheap. im sure he had no idea Yelp would send me this. and it was the ONLY review for his business. guess hes desperate for more work.

now its dangerous to piss off a computer repairman because if he wanted to, he could do things to your laptop which could get u 20 years to life. but i think he mightve broken the motherboard intentionally too since if he could do this, he could do anything. a great way to get a free $110. by the way, the mouse still only works on the far right side, not the left (the same way government policies work). i still at times accidently hit the wrong side of the mouse. to be safe i should go throw this laptop in a lake off a high bridge and get a brand new one.

i also needed to change some of my most commonly used passwords into a new password that ill need to remember. i had passwords to things like priceline, etc, which would bring up my stored debit cards. even though the one password i hadnt actually saved was the ones to my online bank accounts. but i had cash app, bitcoin ewallets, etc on it. and of course, the password to yahoo mail.

yahoo mail gets hacked a lot, but usually more so by people wanting to use it for millions of spam, not by someone i know maliciously.

the 3rd way (and probably the most dangerous) i knew the guy isnt honest is because i found an app called team viewer on my laptop. and im not sure if this was actually useful in fixing a computer with a broken motherboard or mouse. (any honest computer techs reading this please let me know). but i understand its for people to remotely access my computer. so of course i removed the app. at least i think its uninstalled as far as i know. like i said, i should go throw this laptop off a high bridge into deep water to be safe.

ive certainly got the money to rebuy a computer. i have $49700 if u count the $460 on pokerbros which i hesitate to include. ive never counted online money as part of my roll ever. only when its cashed out.

i wouldve been over $50k had it not been for the $562 i paid for a place to stay for a week.

speaking of pokerbros, Allen would like me to let others know that he has a pokerbros site that gives rakeback. (and he offered me a small comission for each new member who deposits and signs up that i send his way). Allen is the guy who runs bomb pot games at the Horseshoe, and the Mgm, and mandalay bay and resorts world on various days. an older bald guy who is the guy who was nice enough to pay the $80 to fix my phone when he badly splintered the glass on it and made it completely useless til it got fixed.

his site has $1 all bomb pot games and $3 all double board omaha bomb pot games, and theres also a few other type of games on the site. i will admit the games (at least for me probably not for u) are quite easy to beat. ive won a few hundred on it in the short time ive been on. its a great way to learn the double board omaha bomb pot how it works, and he promises quick and easy cash outs. im sure he would love to talk to u if u post in the comments and let me know u are interested.

that being said let me tell u about an interesting NL hand that came up last night. i was getting hungry and bored and had won about $175 playing BJ while i waited for my poker seat, and bought in for $72 and had it up to about $260 and the guys were commenting about how tight i was and how few hands i was playing.

i decided to show them something i didnt think they would think id be capable of, so in a multi  way limped pot, i raised to about $32 preflop once no one else raised except one guys $8. 2 people call to see the flop.

all i have is 34 offsuit and im hoping to get all to fold so i can show it.

flop comes Q53 with 2 clubs. i bet $61 and one guy thinks a long time and folds. but sadly the other guy, whose been losing all night goes allin. dammit.

i call, thinking i might be ahead, and ive got so much invested and i want to quit, still up $110 from BJ if i lose. turns out all he has that he called both preflop and shoved with was 26 of clubs. but he hits the flush on the river. so i played it right to call his ass.

i never showed my losing hand, and left. they probably still think i had a way better hand that 34 offsuit. no reason to show it if i dont win the hand, ill let them keep thinking i am not capable of making the bluff til the bluff works out.
