Poker with the Trooper97

December is turning out to be quite a good month. i'm even up on VBJ on the not so good type of VBJ in the el cortez. even with this mornings $493 loss on it. this month is almost ending, but ive won over $7000 this month, just off poker, with over $32 per hour winrate for december. this is increasing the overall winrate, which is now over $18 per hour for the last 2500+ hours played. (all forms of live poker combined, in all locations combined). so its no wonder the $21,000+ i arrived in vegas with is now $24,000+ even with the $750+ i spent on hotel rooms over the dec 26-jan 3rd period til Vince returns home from NJ on Jan 3.

I think games have improved tremendously in vegas from the slow period during the economic crash of 2008-2009, which obama helped to cause long before he got into office. (acorn --he heavily supported and was involved with--was threatening to sue banks if they didnt make bad loans to help the poor and minority communities). these loans caused the crash. naturally, they blamed Bush. Plus the new players entering poker are much worse now, without the help of online poker to get better.

a lot of us who play for a living got out, but im still doing my 25+ yrs of service for the community. one of the oldest of the old timers who used to play 7 stud. Grinders quitting to do other jobs is why the games have gotten better. but lets not deceive ourselves, vegas is still the worst place to move to to play poker for a living. i still cant win in the Wynn. spent 4-5 hours there the other morning, and lost $39. ive had multiple $500+ wins in the nugget this week.

Most grinders use less good judgement than me, (they look for the fanciest looking room to play in instead of the easiest game with the best action). theyre in the wynn, while im in the poker palace in north lv, where i won an easy $380+ friday evening over 4 hours or less in a very action packed game with NO other good players.

now yesterday i was up about $600 in the golden nugget off of my $200 buyin. because of the increase in my bankroll, ive decided to do away with my standard $120 buyin and raise it to $200. and i left the table to use the restroom. when i return, i find the Trooper sitting in seat 1 on the other end. im in seat 7. i fully expected him to immediately request a table change, since hes never sat on my table in the past. in fact, hes actively avoided this, and said many quite negative and unkind remarks about me being weird, although less so than himself. but he is unable to accept anyone whose different mentally. if u see his vlogs, which i do religiously, (seen more of them even than donald trump rallies) he often talks derogatively of anyone he considers crazy. Kind of like ur schoolhouse bully. but no, he didnt do this, and starting raising lots of my BB. he didnt add to his stack, he kept it at $300, when he dropped to $200, he added $100. so he wasnt out to cover me, probably due to his roll being so much less.

a lot of people say if u are going to be an ambassador for poker, u need to do whatever u can to create better game conditions. this i do and have been told such by others, including a guy this week meeting me for the first time. but he wont talk, hes sitting there silent as a mouse to everyone. interact with the fans. he never straddled either. he didnt even bring his starbucks coffee with him to the table. but his hat and blind squirrel sweater is why i recognized it was him, otherwise i wouldnt.

u will notice on twitter how he tried to deny it was him at first, and he tweeted he was in the MGM. but if u look over all his tweets, u will see the ones saying he lied too. i took a photo but it didnt come out too clear. found it quite odd i didnt see his camera with him. i dont think he filmed it, so if he puts up a vlog ill wonder where he filmed it from.

let it be said, unlike many trolls on 2p2, i've never said one bad word about his poker game. in fact i quit once i caught myself in a poor attempt to bluff him for psycological purposes since he tilts easily being so emotionally invested in me not winning off him. i shouldve known he had very strong hands, and wouldnt fold. so i left the game while still up $484 instead of the $900+ i once was up. i wouldnt been up that had it not been a very lucky hand earlier. he got aa more than once in a very short period of time, so i felt he was raising to steal, when he wasnt. i then worried i would tilt off to him all my winnings, so i decided to leave while still up good. plus the table had just combined, and 2 older guys from the other game, both with over $600 had just moved to my table. they appeared they might be a gay couple, and rooted for each other against me, and seemed to be mocking my play when i lost.

the big pot id won earlier? it was against the asian lady in seat 5 who looked vaguely familiar. she was with her husband on another table from CO. she wanted info on good golfing in vegas, and i suggested maybe it would be good idea to give her over to @onechiquita. but i thought maybe she might be CKBWOP. ill never know. not sure why i think she looked familiar. he looked like id played with him before too.

when i first sat the asian guy in seat 6 had John 3.16 written on an index card next to him. i asked and he said he was christian. i suggested he should find Ray on twitter, but he dont use it. he was trying to start more christianity up among poker players.

on the flop of A26, everyone checks. i've got 44. turn comes A. she is last to act. we all check i forgot how many in the pot. she bets $20, i check raise to $80 because i think she dont have the ace, and im wishing to show a bluff since the trooper is present. i dont think he respects my game as much as i respect his, and im wishing to correct this. she calls, so i then know shes got the ace after all. river comes 4. my miracle card. so i bet $200, thinking shes got over $300+ behind. (really was $400+) i bet very quickly without thought. she called just as fast with AQ, and i could only think i didnt bet enough. i got lucky.

deposited $2000 more of the winnings in the golden nugget cashiers cage, so ive got $7000 stored now.

it was good to see so many friends in vegas

well rooms sure are cheap in vegas around Christmas. games break up early, and theres much fewer of them. what a difference this week is from the week which is going to follow. about the only thing bugging me tonight is the fact im now out of clean laundry again. Lyft was used multiple times today, making my life much easier.

next week will be 3-4x per week the cost of rooms this week. so glad Vince will be in town on jan 3, wish it were sooner. i still might fly out. not sure where im staying but im not tying myself down booking it before the last minute. wish i had comps here. Vegas wont offer them like other cities do. Vegas is getting very tight. but the poker games are much looser now than 4-5 years ago. but the VBJ good machine era is gone. wish i had the roll then for the old VBJ in el c or Jean, i couldve done well with this $24,100 roll.

so since taking my bus here from Phoenix, ive met grrouchie, Rob, AC and vegas DWP. played poker with all of them, and im sure at least 2 of them will write blog posts soon. im playing much deeper than in the old days and winning much more too. but i think ive been running hot lately. u see over $1000 of my winnings were on the el cortez VBJ (they moved it to the keno side) and this is unbeatable in the long run, but the house edge is very small. shuffles every hand, and the points suck since it takes 20x as much play as it used to to earn the same amount of points.

i forgot the hands so i asked Rob to remind me. and i still dont remember. seems i beat AC with a full boat i dont remember, (but she might) for a lot of money, and another big pot where i river the flush on a missed str8 draw.

and i still need to figure out how to get an experienced atm bitcoin user to accompany me to a bitcoin atm machine. seems quite a few of these exist in vegas, and theres no way to get the owners of them to assist u in person or show up, most live out of state or its not worth their time to help a new customer. ive got to find out how to get it to work. perhaps Ray will also talk of how he tried the one outside detroit and couldnt understand it either? he too seen the online instructions.

tonights NL game in the poker palace was incredibly loose with lots of bad players. and i won over $300 in it. won $34 in the $2 BJ live game while waiting for it to start. u know the one which pays 3-2 and lets u double down after the 3rd card.

never dreamed the day would come when i use city buses as seldom as i do today. Grrouchie, like ac, was nice enough to drive me home and unlike ac, without complaining about it to vegas DWP. we played quite a long time, and i won big in both sessions with friends. i did need to pay $21 when in the game with the 4 of us, had to pay someone to switch tables or id never got to join in the game.

why I would pay $90 for a hotel when cheaper options were available

So yesterday, when my plane touched down in phoenix about 25 minutes early, it was no problem getting LYFT to talking stick. nor was it any problem storing my bags and i was originally thinking id take a room there. (for the $98 price on priceline where it dont show the name of the CASINO HOTEL IN SCOTTSDALE). not the $111 price otherwise on priceline, or the $129 u would pay the front desk without using priceline. but i heard there could be a $99 poker rate too, not sure. Then i went to get a copy of my players card and went straight to the poker room and sat in the $3-300 at table 2 in the corner of the room. was so much in need of water i tipped the male server $5. Proud to mention i never went near the BJ tables to investigate the rules and payouts. never found time.

i managed to beat the game for $109, but kept forgetting to post $2 instead of $1 in my SB. then they drop the $1 immediately to confuse people more who arent regs so it looks like u only posted $1. so i would fold hands preflop thinking im 1 3rd of the way in instead of 2 3rds. but i didnt like it when on a $9 pot, they dropped $2+1. $1 on a chop too.

i felt it way too late in the morning to get a room and i only wanted to sleep. plus id rather been elsewhere than Phoenix. so i looked up the buses for gotobus.com and the mexican bus, then took lyft downtown phoenix for another $23. the bus was late, was full, but i got a seat alone cause the lady i sat next to moved to the seat across the aisle with her friend, so i got the seat to myself to lie down and sleep part of the way in. i sure wasnt going to use greyhound. so i only ended up being in Phoenix less than 4 hours.

and once i arrived i still needed sleep. so i didnt go play poker. used a lyft to get a room in a casino i didnt mind bringing my bags to, which i knew would store them, but they gave me a room since many rooms were empty last night about 8.30am. surprised me. i figured id have a problem getting a room this quick, so i might need to check out other hotels.

good news is ive still got $21,200 much less than the $25,500 i left shreveport with, but it is a comeback from $20,300. well over $1500-2000 went to expenses. this is why i must quit traveling. shouldve just went to rays house to cut off expenses. i was worried poor weather would keep him from driving to detroit.

And this hotel im staying in for $49+ $30 resort fee? at least theres wifi, nice bathrobes in the room, and free bottled water.

and make sure u dont overlook or miss any of my blog posts. after not posting more than once per week, this is the 3rd post in about 4 days.

Pokeroom managers need to learn how to take better care of their customers. Disperse with the annoying rules.a

Most all poker rooms in Vegas or reno play 9 handed, not 10 handed. This is due to most of the $1-2/$1-3 NL players greatly preferring it. much more room at the table, and people not kicking ur chair or brushing their leg against u constantly. i would prefer to have no one sit close by me period, and be in a 7 handed or less table. this way, i dont need as often either.

so why do all these rooms in st louie, just like shreveport, atlantic city and philadelphia, play with 10? u see this all over any area outside of NV or at least further east than NV and it sure is annoying. is probably why i started losing due to the black guy on my left, who kept bumping my leg. him and another black guy almost got into a fight. (he was challenged to go outside and talk with him). Far more blacks in this room than ameristar since its reachable without needing a vehicle.

and the way none of these rooms follow the examples of the peppermill wynn or the golden nugget on the button straddle annoying too. every room out this way makes the SB act first.

and the weather. its horrible. u cant trust the cabs not to shut down, maybe not in the main part of the city, but here in the suburbs u cant trust them not to. theres no reason the ameristar cant offer free rides to people in the hotels top of the hill. so tomorrow when my $67 plane leaves (but NOT to vegas) but i will be where the weather is much warmer than here. at least they have lyft. it wouldve sold out had i not went ahead and booked it, so i now have to use it. no point in flushing $58 down the toilet like i did with my Peoria train ticket. of course i still need to pay baggage fees.

So a guy who i suspected of being a dealer in the ameristar, he bets $15 on the flop who limped in EP, then called my $15 raise preflop. flop is A68 with 2 hearts. i have AQ with the queen of hearts. i make it $35, getting everyone else out, then he puts me allin (almost $100 more to me). hes in for more. i know he dont have AK. or AA. i put him on the ace hi flush draw, so i call. im right. he had AJ of hearts. knew he had a lower kicker. of course he rivers the flush. so i left broke to go play BJ.

i should've had a lot more cash in the bank than the $6000 i had on me, but i dont like my cash all being in 1 spot. i found a pretty empty shoe game 3-2 payouts. same rules as ameristar, but if u play 2 hands, u dont need to double ur bets. eventually after moving tables twice, i came across a good shoe with the running count of +7. started buying more, betting more, and im pretty sure they didnt know i was counting the cards, or they wouldnt wrote me out a buffet comp, got the host to give me 1 more nite free (plus his business card), and since id booked the room thru priceline for sun nite (meant it couldnt be comped off--$22 less originally is why i did it this way) the host offered me a free coupon for $100 bet. of course once i returned from the buffet to pick it up, i lost it right off. he realized id been martingaling bets, which is why he was so generous with comps, and flagged down a host hed seen walking close by. but when i returned from eating he was surprised i didnt wait to use the $100 free bet, once i lost smaller bets. but i used it right off cause i seen a running count of +5 late in this shoe as i sat. but i did recover over $300 over the next 3 shoes and the black guy dealing unfriendly cause he wasnt getting tipped dealt to me far better than the dealer who looked like claudia who cost me $4000. then i returned to poker, same damned table, worse seat, and lost once more. lots of people complimented me on my donkey cap. but i lost close to $4000. the final hand before i went to eat was 2 bets of $900 each.

at least this hotel offers the free shuttle to the airport. but it stops running at 8pm. then starts back up at 7am. so u sure cant book early morning flights.

ameristar st louis trip report

$20 tip $5800 cashout BJ. $920 in poker losses. iron mike sharpe and the guy who blew up. finding out room prices, girl who looked like a hooker. 100 play lockup and 50c min. 3-2 missouri law. free drinks where u get them. no big 0.

First off, i must say, this trip was extremely poorly planned out. i didnt decide where i was going to, or even that i would leave on thursday (instead of a later day) til like less than 2 hours before the shreveport departure time. Then the room i took for free in samstown was good for both thurs and fri nites, but i left thurs afternoon, 3 hours after i checked into it when checking out of the room id been in the eldorado tues and wed nites for free.

but unlike the eldorado where the free ride ive earned from having the black card u have to set up with a host (and sometimes there wont be one on duty til the following day) anyone staying at samstown gets an airport ride immediately thru their valet dept. so being in samstown made it much quicker to go to the airport without riding in a cab with several thousand in cash plus a $7000 check.

Once i reached the bank in st charles MO, i walked right in and deposited the check, along with some of the cash. this is why its good i arrived on friday.

id originally bought the tix to st louis, then before i boarded the train in longview, paid $58 more to change my destination to peoria. while in st louis, in my private sleeper car, at the last possible second, i changed my mind, and got off. this was due to lightnings inability to meet up in peoria, and their room not being 24 hours. i figured there would be more games in st louis/st charles, particularly the $1-2 big 0 hilow i thought existed in the ameristar. id certainly seen proof of it on bravo enough times.

but it turned out they got rid of the game just this week. now its hi only. the staffs excuse was it divides up the player pool too much. when im sure the truth is the dealers arent smart enough to figure out the low and the pot size both at once. but i played it for a short time anyway. lost $200 in it. not nearly as much as the $820 i lost overall throughout the day in the $1-3 (which was much looser than id expected).

i was losing to the 4th different guy id guessed was iron mike sharpe on twitter and roughingthepunter. by the time the day ended, id guessed 7 different guys to be him. some i discounted due to the twitter picture. none of them were a perfect match of the picture. some i discounted when i first seen the picture which lightning pointed me to. but the first guy id guessed, though he was tall like lightning said, he looked nothing like his picture, and he couldnt been him, for he wished me good luck in recovering the money in BJ when i left down $620 the first time in the $1-3.

i went to a live BJ table, found out theirs no surrender in MO and the state forces them to offer 3-2 on all the tables. (told directly by the pit boss--the same one talking on the phone using my name when buying in $4000 during a good count to make much bigger bets) when i quit the game, id won $699 so i was now slightly up. it couldve been $799, i never was sure of my buyin totals, id bought in more a few times. but when i got to my room and found out what id lost for the day overall, $699 feels more right. the pit boss did look in the discards right as i went from $10-22 bets to 2 hands of $335 each, during a point in the shoe the running count went from +1 to +7 more than halfway thru. then when i lost, including with a double down, and pulled out $4000 more to bet 2 hands of $846 each plus tip, the new count was +11. so im sure he suspected me of counting, i was afraid he would say shuffle. the law in MO is u cannot ban counters.

luckily i won this hand, then i quit and went to play poker. the cage needed my ID and it took forever to cash in. guessing they filed a currency report to the govt.

now the guy i lost to in PLO, i had only $45 left and made it $30 preflop with KKJ9 single suited. in late position. he reraised with K562 single suited, simply cause he was the maniac all day long and sucked out on me repeatedly in $1-3 too. he said he only did it cause im short. sure enough he hits the flush and wins.

the guy earlier who said i should write a blog looked nothing like the picture of him, so he couldnt been him. this was in $1-3. i did as horribly in $1-3 there as in coushatta. there were lots of guys in there who seemed like a gay couple too, but none i suspected of being him. for i think hes straight.

went and investigated on nearby housing. some hotels u must pay 1 month upfront to get the biggest discount ($250 week instead of $363). some u dont for $279 week, then the monthly craigslist special for much less in value place. the lower prices are like 3-5 miles out, u need a cab. then theres the old harrahs boat, now owned by hollywood ive not been to yet since it was harrahs and i lost big in BJ on it once. this one girl in the lobby, i thought she might be a hooker, so i looked up her pic on craigslist and backpage. couldnt tell if it was her.

now after midnight when dead tired the cabs stopped running due to poor weather. at least the valet guy swore to this. so not wishing to walk, i got him to do something they wont do. take the shuttle off their property to drive me up the hill to the motel for $20. outrageously high tip, but it worked. i dont feel safe walking after dark, carrying money or not. and its bitter cold out, will get worse tonight. i'm also $1000 worse off than when i left shreveport. some of it on expenses, (train, hotels, and some from gambling). this includes the $100 lost in the gemtiles machine. and their 100 play VP? it sucks. u cant martingale because its 50c bet minimum, unlike the ones in vegas or samstown. MD live has the min bet too, but there i think its $1. plus its 1c and 2c only. not only that theres 1 machine in the entire casino (which is quite huge) and while going to eat, people with higher level cards can lock it up from 2-4 hours. (which they did)

the lucky maniac from PLO and $1-3 (some people called him mike but he went by 3 other names too) he answered to both kevin W and merza on the list and one dealer called him matt, another mike. im sure he was stealing seats of those who left. he got so mad when he lost so heavily he threw his phone in the trash, then couldnt find it, then when he finally left, he said, ok now its fine for u guys to talk about me now--im gone. he said he normally plays $5-10 NL or $20-40, i think he mightve went there once or claimed one of the $20-40 names but i didnt see him play it.

there is a nice big grocery store and bank of america right next to the hotels up the street from the casino. it closes early being an aldis store. tonight, there better be cabs.

Preparations to spend the holidays with friends

well, i moved out of the place i was living at for about $350 per week here in shreveport today, and when they asked me at the desk, i gave them a good reference and might use them in the future if i return. if i was to go suddenly, i didnt wish to have to make a special trip there to pack my stuff, plus get my deposit back in the middle of the night. i did leave close to $40 worth of food behind, and plenty of things that wont fit on a train or plane.

so ive got some free nights in the eldorado and sams town im using. and it seems in january my free offers are finally finished at samstown, making living here less valuable now. but im doing so well here. only half the month into december, and im over $4000 up JUST FROM POKER in the first 15 days of this month. new roll is $25,500.

glad to see my $5000 mailed in check i deposited from the casino cashiers cage safely reached my BOA acct, and my family got the money and online gifts i sent successfully too. i put the wrong address in so i was worried. i was so focused while in the post office with the check id just brought from the casino, my mind was blank. but i did get it safely sent via priority mail. even though the clerk watched me put $100 in the envelope to my mom, she didnt steal the cash for Mark's christmas. Jason finally helped me figure out how to use the deposit by phone app successfully for in the future.

so today, tomorrow or friday afternoon, theres 1 morning trip into dallas via amtrak for only $24, (where theres tons of cheap planes to many cities, some under $120) then theres the afternoon amtrak into st louis/chicago on up to toledo. st louis is usually less than $100 if u dont pay for a sleeper. then theres the friday afternoon allegiant into vegas for under $250 but it might sell out. ill need to get another check, i dont wish to be traveling with close to $13,000 in cash.

tonight i played $10-20 full kill o8 and won close to $800. at one point, i was up $400 more. i was hitting mostly everything. had lots of good wins lately including from another guy named Tony who insisted i mention him in the blog. this was the day before, so ive forgot the hand of course. i need to learn to write them down so my blog becomes more like all the others on the blogroll u see on the right hand side of the page. (if u are viewing from ur computer instead of ur phone)

hopefully ill soon be living around friends near some good $2-5 games i can finally afford again that dont exist here, and be taking some road trips. its been verified the casinos near Ray will let me store money. too bad most dont have boxes instead of just the cage. im now in the process of finding out where in florida offers boxes. seems only foxwoods gives them out easily.

as far as WEC is concerned, the advice he gave was to buyin for more. well im still usually starting off with a buyin of $120. this works best for psychological reasons. but once it starts dropping im quickly adding $200-300 or much more depending on whose in the game and how deep they are. i often get it back, if not in the poker game, i will in the BJ tables. so ive gotten plenty of experience in playing much deeper stacked as the bankrolls gone up (i stay sitting in the game much longer without leaving). overall my sessions are only half as long as they were in my early and mid 20s. when very broke, just playing $1-5 stud.

Tuesday, December 6, 2016

I knew it was coming, and it couldve been much worse.

well, im down to $22,400. now if u looked at how i stood when i left Reno this summer, u would think this is great. But im looking at it considering how i was only $15 shy of $25,000 not much more than 24 hours ago. in fact at one point (before i cashed out) i wouldve been over this.

i'm glad to see as im passing 1114 hours in shreveport im still at $27 per hour. years ago, i not only never dreamed i could beat $1-3 NL for $27 per hour, i didnt think anyone else could either. i used to think id be forever condemned to $8-12 per hour, and i thought two things. one, that this was doing good, and two, that would be plenty to live on. but now i worry how ill survive if my $27 hourly goes down. which of course it is, remember, this is including the $39 hourly from the previous months of april and may. the sept oct and nov hourly were $15, $18 and $19.

my life much much different than when i was in my early 20s. i dont sleep outdoors, hell i seldom even ride a city bus anymore. i sure dont ride greyhound. All the inexpensive places by the week i used to rent i no longer feel safe renting, i pay premium prices for nicer rooms anymore. My last rental property eviction in vegas was way back in 1999 or 2000. i fly everywhere. i dont use amtrak even without paying tons extra for sleeper cars most of the time.  i feel like putting in very short poker sessions, not long ones and is this due to old age, ill health due to my teeth, and eyesight, or just burnout and laziness of not wishing to ever give back decent size wins of $200 or better. and only recently do i take mini vacations. (my definition=having 2 rooms at the same time). for example 12-14 free nites per month in the 2 casinos next door to each other at the same time im paying to live elsewhere. in the old days id move out of where id be staying to take the free rooms. i dont do this here lately since the rolls gone up, too much work, hassle, and im storing things there while im sleeping in the casino hotels to avoid cab fees and to make shorter and more frequent trips to the poker room.

today i actually not only bought in for $300 when i first sat (instead of $120) due to yesterdays big loss, and starting winning lots of hands. i broke the game up when 4 handed, after folding a winner, due to fear of his stack size and wanting to cement a win. but im in my room, up $281, and $22,400 is certainly better than the $22,100 i woke up with. so far ive only played 2 hours or less. and im not even sure the game will still be going when i leave my room to return. when the game broke, there was one other full table.

im ashamed of yesterday, i was stuck from poker, (under $100) VP in the bad machine in samstown, one reason i wish to leave this area, to keep myself off it. u see, in reno and vegas, theres much better paying 100 play deuces wild games, so no temptation to play poor paytables. close to $300 was lost from the VP. then i started playing BJ, and at one point got stuck over $1800, so in the middle of a good count, divided up my money to bet $1830 (between 2 spots) after getting $6000 from the cage in case of potential doubles or splits. 2 hands of $915. the hand won (after pushing 3 times, one spot paying the other). and i sure was relieved. even the elderly black lady who didnt know what she was doing (yet criticized the other black kid for doubling on a hard 12) was happy for me. and both of them didnt like me going to 2 hands at times, then back to 1. they both bet the sucker side bet nonstop and misplayed lots of hands. its rare to ever see a BJ table without the side bets, or people not playing it. this is nowdays how the house gets their edge unlike the old days where their edge came from the game itself. i would love to see tables without this feature.

went in the poker room, up close to $60, started playing Monday night close to 11pm, and showed them $4000 in purple chips and spoke of the miraculous recovery on BJ. then i started winning. the $223 i bought in for in oddball chips got up to $390+ and i was considering walking back to sams town to go to my room. (somehow got 4 free nites this week instead of the usual 2). Then one of the regulars on the night shift which is mostly black (a young black guy) and most of them all like me, one of them reads the blog whose pretty much their leader. at least 2 of them claim they could find me a woman whose affectionate if i wanted them to.  the white guys not as much. the asian regulars, they really hate me. This regular, he called my raise with AA preflop with K5 suited. he had me covered too, so i took the seat on his left in seat 3. i was swearing to little Joe (black guy who reads the blog on other end) i had QQ and i think he believes me. 3 of us seen the flop which comes K and 26 of hearts. hes got the K5 of hearts. they check both of them, i bet $55 and say i hope neither of them hit the king. both know me to bluff and continuation bet often, though i see few flops. Joe calls ALL my bluffs. Joe folds, the other guy goes allin. i call, then he shows his hand, as do I, and on the turn the damned 5 comes and he wins. i rebuy $100, lose it quickly, then $500, lose most of it, then return to BJ.

which i then start losing much more, and eventually quit over $2500 down, then lose $380 more in VP. im feeling sick since i once got it all back on BJ. in fact id recovered much more often than i shouldve on BJ or VP up til last nite. this is how i got the money up to $25,000 much more rapidly than i wouldve had i only played poker.

wont be no more bitcoin losses on BJ since bitzino shut down. i used to play it lots while at the table on my phone. since the huge win long in the past id lost more than $500 in the last month or so. still looking for alternatives.

since buying $60 worth of books, ive finished 2 so far. i miss ray and vince, and am tired of this place. especially since both ray and vince are up to doing road trips. but moving outs a big process. im sure my stuff wont fit in 2 suitcases, then id need to get a check from the cage, then id worry about my bank having to report a huge $10,000+ deposit to the gov, then id worry id lose it before i got to the bank, then i worry i might not get my deposit back when checking out right away if the wrong time of the night, etc. then id have to book in advance and few flights out of here and the trains dont fit the schedule too well either.

if i go out of town, i will really hate having to waste money buying food in the casinos too. ill never have these meal offers i get here. or the free $95 weekly.

only luck is keeping me going up

i imagine the staff of the place where i live assume i never take a shower due to housekeeping never seeing the towels ever being used. but i've always hated using the shittier showers in the places where i live to the nice ones in the casinos. and the ones in the eldorado are even superior to the ones in samstown. so i always do it during the 2 or 4 days per week im relaxing in the casino hotel instead of at home. i often wonder if i waste money this way, but paying weekly is lots less, never having to move my things is nice, and being able to store food (or other things) long term. see this is one of the benefits of having more than $20k in cash to ur name. in the old days i wouldve NEVER took 2 hotels at the same time. but now i feel i can "afford" a home, and to get a night out too.

on a totally unrelated question i wonder whats the cheapest price u can buy property out in the country far from others with working wifi still?

to me all casino hotels are nice, i dont consider any of them shitty like some people do. some, which offer bathrobes while ur a guest, are nice though. wish i had one now. the golden nugget in vegas is one. i wish i knew of the others. and i wouldve liked to have met a reader today but he wont leave harrahs and i have no idea why anyone would go there in the first place. not only no phone chargers there and shitty promos and comps, theyre the ONLY hotel here charging resort fees. no point in him telling me he was in town. i suggested coming there if he sent me the cab fee. it sure wouldnt be fair to me for me to be out money to meet him, when he drives and it wouldnt cost him to come here like it would for me to come there.

i never realized how long it was between blogs til Ray mentioned it to me.

now for the news uve been waiting for. i was briefly in the $22,000s up quite a bit from the previous blog which sounded bad. since it was posted last sunday, early in the week i did quite well. won over $600 once from poker, and over $1000 once from poker. then won over $600 from poker again.

but the last few sessions (with the exception of yesterdays $488 session) are lowering the hourly again. 2 losses of over $300, one loss of $281 tonight, all since friday. u see the ONLY reason the rolls still going up, is good BJ sessions. and i looked into the paytables on the deuces wild 100 play and theyre more like 96% than 97%. worse than i thought. but yet ive won over $100 twice this week on it, when i shouldnt play it period. and once i won over $1500 within the last 2 weeks, forgotten which date it was. tonight, before i went to play poker, i won $25 on VP and $400 on BJ. but i didnt eat first due to it being the wrong time to eat, so i didnt play too well, and this is how i lost $281. i tried to bluff the wrong guy.

Isnt it frustrating being in a game where u will get paid off like a motherfucker if u ever hit a hand, due to the field and ur image, but yet u cannot make a legit hand for nothing? this is why i lose more in good games than i do in poor games. poor games seem easier to beat. by poor games i mean games where they wont call my bets. games with much lower chipstacks on the table in other words.

i didnt exactly tell cdizzy the truth about not going to the massage place due to it being asians who give the massage in the place 6 blocks from the pokerroom. yes i would prefer other women than asians, but the main reason is ive heard the ones who arent legit, unlike the legit ones, wont give u the time u pay for. if i want 60 minutes, i want to lie down on my back 60 minutes and relax. i dont want them trying to turn me over in 15 minutes and get upset with me if i dont let them upsell me $120 more for some other type of service. i know of legit ones in ac, and illegit ones. In vegas ive zero experience, as to the legit ones not in the casino spas. The legit ones in NJ which give u the full time and offer no other services are the ones on the boardwalk instead of pacific or atlantic.

im glad ive been lucky on BJ lately and yes im getting the bets in on good counts, but still its luck. but i dont like lowering the hourly and id feel much better emotionally if the wins come from poker.

the opposite of the prior blog

The previous blog talked about all the different reasons i was doing better in shreveport. Now i want to discuss all the different reasons im doing worse here.

when i left shreveport in May, i was at $39 per hour. (over $9000 april and over $5000 May from poker). certainly not off any other casino games. I'm now up to 987 total hours played, and now im only receiving $26 per hour. $26,213 winnings in poker for shreveport.

How does the hourly drop so much from $39? well truthfully, april and may were the ONLY good months. i won $15 per hour in sept, $18 per hour in Oct, and only $10 per hour in nov. so im winning almost nothing and $1000 in oct and $1300 in nov was from the freeroll. no matter what my overall hourly is in shreveport, its basically showing im not winning any more. I'm lucky to still be right about $19,000. The $30 6 times a month in sams town and the $60 weekly cashback in the eldorado does help. plus ive won as much as ive lost on BJ since returning. i also won on the 96% VP, because the $117 i turned into $1690 wiped out multiple losses of smaller amounts of $100-300.

the ONLY reason ive not yet left is i like the place i moved into, and i cant fit my things into these 2 suitcases to leave town on a plane or train. and truthfully, i keep hoping i can get the win rate in poker back to where it once was. unless im living with vince or ray, i dread intentionally putting myself back into nowhere to stay.

but the VP paytables here suck, its 7-5 on jacks or better, and i think 96% on VP. the 5 of a kind certainly isnt 25 to 1, which is why i dont hold it. its only 20-1. holding 222 is best. the wild royal sucks too and the straight flush, but it does pay 3-1 on the flush and 4-1 on the full house. i wish i could force myself to quit playing it so much, but when u run bad in poker, u want to be away from other people, sitting by yourself on a VP machine, playing every hand since ur sick of folding. if i left, it would keep me off this game. plus i play more BJ here, due to much better rules as far as $5 tables normally always available even on weekends. with 3-2 payouts, unlike in vegas, toledo, NJ, etc.

the option to play more poker extremely shorthanded would help to cure this, if it existed.

was good to break the ice today, like 10 losses of the last 13 sessions since the $1000 win, for well more than $1000. i won $148 and wish id left when up $300+ but i hadnt put in enough hours at the time.

For anyone in Vegas, the new lucky dragon casino on sahara is opening today. check it out to see if theres BJ with decent rules. seems its going to mostly be for asians, so AC can be the one to go check it out.

still in town for some time now.

found a place to live in Bossier because on friday night i didnt feel like taking the plane, due to the fact my records for the past year show of the $37,000 plus i won this year, for 2166 hours of play, (past year meaning nov 13 2015 to nov 13 2016) mostly all of it came from shreveport. and for 941 total hours in the eldorado shreveport im over $29 hourly with over $27,000 in my winnings here alone. which means the other 1215 hours for all other casinos comes to only about $10,000 more worth of winnings.

in the longer run, what this is saying is 2230 hours for the year if i lived in a place like vegas or ? i would win $20k per year. and if i was putting in the same number of hours here in shreveport i would win $50 to $60k per year. how many of u think theres a difference in ur standard of living, and where u can afford to live depending on whether u earn $20k or $60k?

but i need Ray to move here, so i have a friend with a car nearby and he would be able to find a far better place to live than me since he can live in ANY apt in the country for $200 a month being on section 8, regardless of the regular price. he can do this in a good neighborhood or a bad one.

i did win yesterday my biggest win in quite some time, not counting freeroll monies, or money for hours, and yes i was quite lucky to get $1500 for 10th place in the freeroll, minus the 10% cut to some horses. was extremely lucky not to bust out before 10th place for nothing at all, and lucky 2 people went out fairly quickly the other table when 12 were left. then when the final table begun and @selman_steven on twitter blocked the $3500 each even money chop, i was lucky he didnt also block some other guys suggestion to give everyone $1000 each, then redo the prize pool to play for the $25,000 remaining. he and everyone else, including the other guy blocking the chop too, went for this idea so when i quickly busted in 10th, i got $1000 plus $500 for 10th. the prize pool was rewritten using the same formula percentages as the original, which was quite top heavy for first. paid twice what 2nd paid.

a much better way for the staff to have written the $35,000 prize pool to save all arguements and chopping worries and to pay more people is $3000 each spots 1-10 and $500 each spots 10-20. then u dont have to make it to 10th to get paid, and the final table gets the same.

i did play a little table BJ recently, but luckily no big losses, none over $300. i did have a few wins too so i didnt lose overall. lost $300 in VP too but then again also some wins of it too. still some bitcoin online but very little, under $10 worth. I'm glad to discover the hot water works, i at first didnt think it did.

since im now over $19,400 if i stick around i need someone to deposit money into my bank who lives outside of louisiana and then ill hand them the cash when they come here once i see its deposited. i'm still storing it in the cage since theres no bank of america in this state. im not comfortable mailing it because if it got lost, way too much paperwork time and proof to get it fixed. plus i should look into getting the citizenship if i keep this address. but i hate spending any money unless im forced too.

if Britni still lives in Portland u might find her if u scour pictures of the riots

its almost time

I wish the freeroll operated like a normal freeroll, (the type the Riviera in Vegas and the Flamingo/IP used to have). but instead, due to lack of space in the poker room, they did the bottom 50 people tonite, (top 25 get in) and Saturday they will do the top 50, and 25 will get in. on sunday the finalists (50 total) will play a tourney, starting fresh with the same sized chip stacks. $20 dealer fee for $5000 extra chips. so I have to first win my way in tonight. this way they need only 5 tables to run the tourny instead of 10. the room holds only 9 tables, and they sure wont be shutting down the cash games during the tourney.

considering i had $17,800 once (which i considered $17,500 because id subtracted the $286 cost of my room for 2 nights in the Homewood Hilton Suites saturday and sun nights even though they werent going to charge me til i checked out unlike most hotels which charge u on checkin) i've given back quite a bit this week. a few losing sessions, plus the $115 for fridays room last night. but starting today and sunday ill have 2 nites free in samstown once more. then i either need to leave or find another place to live.

so what im saying is ive got $16,900 left of $17,800 if i wouldve left instead of hanging around for the freeroll. i need to win $1000 or more in the freeroll, which could be done if i reach the final table. and considering how well ive done here overall (nothing for nov yet) i probably shouldnt leave. nor do i know where ill go. Vince would like to see me return to vegas, Ray to toledo. and i wouldnt mind being in atlantic city, phoenix, florida or a few other spots.

i should've kept my room for 1 more week, id have saved money. still not entirely sure, nor would i post in here, which place i would rent if i remain in shreveport. i did have a winning omaha8 session yesterday morning (recovered $200 of the money i lost in the holdem game).
never got around to publishing this yesterday as was intended. But im happy to say i made it thru the qualifying period last night, and will be in the final 50 at 1pm today. they wont let us here, but if the 50 of us divided up the money now, its $700 each. one good thing about Mark the manager of the riv, he always let us divide up the moolah. he wasnt that bad til he turned against me, who knows why. so this is a pretty big tourny and how i do in it this afternoon will affect my roll substantially, for if i took first without it being chopped, id be getting close to $10k. it will be horrible to bust out without being in the money. all i can be sure of is at least 10 people getting paid. im down to $16,900 so i hope to be over $18,000 the end of the tourny.

When is spending money for information worth the extra cost?

I've been analyzing my records stored on my cell phone, (why its important to keep these types of records) and it shows for about 4 months worth of play in shreveport, ive won over $24000+. over $3000 in September, over $5000 in october, (this month) over $9000 in april, and over $5000 in May. and for the other 8 months of the year to date period october 29 2015 to october 29 2016, i won only $9000+ more for all of those months combined. So the question becomes, how do i interpret these records in making plans?

it means leaving shreveport probably isnt a good idea.

But what about the fact i didnt feel comfortable sleeping in my living accomodations at night, due to it having outside entrances, and only wishing to sleep days and play nights? what about the fact its often 3 am and the game wont always last around the clock, or the fact maybe im in the game for over $500, built it up to $800+ didnt quit since i didnt wish to be inside during the nighttime hours in my home, and now only have $650 left and if i dont quit now i might not win a penny and suffer a big loss?

i see only 1 way to handle this. move to where i feel comfortable going home when its dark out. it gets light much later now and might still be dark as early as 6pm or 7am. it will only get worse in december. which means i must be in the casinos 365 nights per year where i feel the safest with good security and stronger doors which cannot be broken down, or in a big safe highrise like vegas offers. or to live with friends like Vince or Ray, this is why i wished to move.

This will cost money. at least twice as much as the $200 per week i was paying in the place i moved out of friday night. but if im winning $5000 per month, shouldnt it be affordable?

i did some investigating tonight, when it got to be 6am, and id given back over $300 of my $500+ win. Mostly to Misty and to one newcomer whod been losing quite a bit. samstown was 100% sold out friday night so i couldnt check into my free room id setup a week back for sat and sun. (u couldnt do fri and sat). and im OLD. im 47. i cannot find the stamina to stay sitting in the game 12+ hour periods of time, and continue to keep playing extremely well. i can only play $1-3 NL at a world class expert level for 6+ hours per day, im not these young guys on drugs putting in long sessions.

so what did i do? i cancelled the reservation, and switched it to mon and tues nights. monday morning it will be much easier to check in much earlier. sunday wont be sold out. one time on wednesday i got permission to check in 4am (with a $10 tip).

So i then found a nice hotel, one with big fridges in the room with very nice freezers. one known for excellent wifi. which i checked out soon as i went inside, sure enough, its letting me play candy crush on facebook, no problem. i got sick of never being able to play it at home and wish to live where i can. this hotel is $129 per night, but $119 for me and i can slightly lower the cost if i stay longterm to like $102 per night. it offers shuttle service to the casino (not 24 hours however) and is part of the Marriott-Hilton chain. free breakfast in the lobby and when i walked in at 7am to checkin (after first verifying over the phone immediate vacancy was available tonight) i was quite shocked at the huge crowd of tourists eating the free lobby breakfast. these people are on vacation so wtf would they be getting out of bed so early? when im on vacation id never get up at 7 in the morning, thats when people get up who have jobs.  so i took it for sat and sun and got to check in very early, 7am this morning. question is, am i wasting my money? i dont think so, i certainly am getting wonderful info about their chains of hotels and brands ive never stayed in due to the higher cost. i think its worth learning the info.

many young professional players who like me are easily capable of beating the lowest stakes live NL games for close to $100,000 per year, have much nicer suites than this. i wont be able to continue to pay these prices come monday, but on wednesday once my 2 free nites are up, if i dont then leave for vegas or toledo, and i shouldnt til after nov 4-6 for the freeroll which lasts 3 days, i can at least live in 1 of the 3-4 places on craigslist which appear safer to be in the nighttime hours for like $350-400 per week. hopefully i wont have wifi problems there. this is good wifi here, but im not paying $800 per week. remember the price i quoted for nightly here dont include tax. its more with tax. but this is certainly 100% free of crime.

the most unfair rule in any casino poker room ever. (and Grump thought mandalay bay had bad rules)

Well i could do what Robvegaspoker does and title my blog "she asked me to whip it out" referring to my earlier dream in which a beautiful young black uber female driver told me if i wanted to i could whip it out for her (i didnt realize she was referring to my seatbelt). or i could title it "why u fucking  talking shit" referring to my 2nd dream which i woke up to just now, in fear, at 11.20pm. when a big white guy who was in a band dressed up in shirts says LSU and with a trumpet with a ton of others in the band said this to me when i commented on how i, (while flying about 6-8 feet in the air,) couldnt get around him and was boxed in to where i couldnt reach the door on the north side of the gym, and i didnt wish to go out the door on the south side the wrong way, for i was trying to reach a casino. i dreamed i was mad he was mad at me because he would continaully keep moving to where i couldnt move boxing me in and when his band leader tried to jump in the way so he wouldnt hurt me, he said this then tried to get up to hit me, then i woke up for good. in the dream, they were local poker players in the eldorado.

or maybe title it after the earlier dream i first had, (slept 3 times this afternoon) which would be "mom, the people ur witnessing about Jesus to are trying to steal all ur scrabble pieces" in this dream i was about 30 feet up in the top of a huge truck and the guy and girl mom had been talking to in her house across the street were getting in the truck down below (im by the roof) and with big boxes to hold expensive scrabble memorabilia (which she really doesnt own). then im in her house, telling her about it, then climbing out the window to go find them, going down stairs, through a large church which i think is one of my kind of churches, big pentecostal one, but turned out to be named st judes which i seen going out the door, and im asking an asian lady where to find the bus. while in the church i was trying to find a place to hide out to sleep (hey some have 100s of rooms, even schools, etc) after everyone left the building and services ended, like i did once or twice when homeless 18-25 yrs of age.

But theres more important things to talk about and this blog isnt here for the purpose of talking about scary dreams, which most of mine are. This blog is to talk about why im not comfortable here in shreveport, and why i might even get out of town before the nov 4 freeroll. i dont usually make the money in these even if its a $35,000 freeroll limited to 100 people. if only 10 get paid, why bother? (flushdraw is really going to think im dumb)

see, all my life ive tried to play poker at night (using the excuse games are better) and sleep during the day (the hours its LIGHT outside) This was due to living in weeklies like Budget or siegel suites (and others much worse) 10-25 yrs ago while poor. and i just didnt feel safe in them at night, worried about breakins of my front door while im inside. if theres 24 hour poker its no issue, but here in shreveport, sometimes the game breaks up 3 am or even sooner. and the horrible rake which isnt reduced shorthanded most of the time due to using the excuse "well then we wont let u qualify for the jackpot" (so it stays at $5+2). i feel much safer living where im in an inside hallway (like extended stay america or much better a casino hotel with security to walk u to the room and peek inside for u if u need them to) instead of places which anyone can walk by the door on the outside with no security visible at night, or no office open to call during the night. i do seem to win more too not playing during the mornings or afternoons. different crowd.

Now lets talk about unusual rules here u wouldnt expect to find in most pokerrooms. (and im not referring to the free buffet everyday most regulars get). some of these rules are good. for instance, the ONLY way there can be a button straddle allowed on the table is if ALL of the players voted YES unanimously to allow it. (new players wont be getting to vote--just those at the table already. once its changed, new people sitting down must accept it). of course, the only reason i would vote NO is because this casino forces the small blind to act first instead of doing it the correct way like Wynn, nugget, peppermill, etc.

if someone requests a setup, (and anyone objects) u cannot get a setup. Truth is, im surprised the whole rest of the table dont object all the time. all it does it hold up the next hand 5 minutes.

But heres the most unusual rule at all. say theres 2 shorthanded games, and people wish to combine at 1 of the 2 tables. well if they wish to combine, they might draw for seats. but if anyone dont want to combine they dont combine. so here's how it went down, with Jacob working the floor late in the middle of the night. there were 4 of us, 5 if u count the asian guy who set chips down and was gone the whole time. one guy quits on his BB because he dont like playing this shorthanded, and theres only 1 seat in the other game and its on me to post the BB. Fearing if i posted, theyd break the game next hand and id be out $3, i didnt wish to post and i said can we draw? the one guy preferred to play 3 handed since there was only 1 seat open, not 2 or 3. the other guy was willing to play. i was going to just sit out til we could draw, or pick up a 4th player. so i didnt post. then the same guy said well if theres only 2 of us who wish to play lets draw. (since his odds went from 1 in 3 to 1 in 2). i told the floor hey id like to draw and he said since im sitting out im not an active player, no more than the other guy not in the game with chips there and asked me if i thought it would be fair the other guy got to draw. i then told him, im willing to play 3 handed if i had to. and he said its too late theyre already drawing, u made it clear to me already u wouldnt play 3 handed, and theyre willing to play and u wont, and said i cant keeping changing my mind instead of making up my mind. i was going to discuss this with the main manager when shes in, in no other casino would i be screwed like this. i did not miss a single hand, and id been dealt in the last hand. and those guys were no more willing to play 2 handed, though they swore they wouldve than i was willing to play 3 handed. (proof being once it got to HU, they drew)

Tuesday, October 18, 2016

well im going back downhill and going there fast. there goes my $1000 from my hours played.

tonight wasnt a good night. i got paid my $1000 today, or at least the $940 after they took the tax out of it. so earlier today i was briefly in the $15,800s. but i did lose both my poker sessions. since i was already downtown with my laptops and suitcase, i decided when i left sams town to go ahead and take my 2 free nights in the eldorado too instead of going home. i went up there to take a break about 6 pm since i wasnt feeling like playing after giving back the $100+ i was ahead, plus over $140 of the original buyin. but with the promo money id received, i was still up to $15,800 and over $2500 up for the month of october.

so when i woke up at 2am and sat down with $120, i couldnt get nothing. lost, rebought, $160, and eventually was in the game for the entire $580 I had in my pocket. Then when i quit and tried to go get money from the money stored in safekeeping in the casino cage, they couldnt give it to me because i was told the system is down. so instead i went to my room and it better be fixed by the time i go back down.  was told the same thing when i tried to order food in the poker room with comps. maybe had i not been hungry i wouldve had more patience to wait for a hand. it was a good game because Doc was sitting in it. and he usually gives me credit and folds because he doesnt have a thing when he raises preflop and sees me as a nit. But i lost the whole stack when i tried to bluff him off a pot.

Now ive been told, when a guy check raises allin on the river, he usually ISNT bluffing. this true or not true? Lance who plays in this room regularly, told me one big edge i have over most of the locals which is good for me is i try to steal pots. i've noticed if u can win one big pot per night u wouldnt otherwise win, it has such a huge effect on ur hourly rate, more than doubling it. but when u try it against the wrong guy, or when hes sitting on a monster, it wont work and it didnt tonight. on a flop of 2K2, 5 on the turn for a turned flush draw in hearts (i held A5 of hearts) Q of diamonds on the river, i didnt expect the monster he was holding to be 23 offsuit. most people say i should try to bluff more. i dont know if this is true if im stuck for the night and not been winning, seems they wish to call. sure wish i was in a new room every night. i've been told its better to show bluffs so u can get paid off on monsters, but this stops u from winning with future bluffs too, so which is preferable?

and im still needing to return the old laptop before my 15 days expire. i was expecting to be over $16k once i did but with this loss, im down to $15,300 so ill only be a bit under $15,700 if i do. this should feel like a lot but had i not lost both the last 2-3 sessions i couldve been over $16,500 once i got the money plus the laptop returned.

if i didnt return it, the ONLY way i could safely dispose of the stored passwords on the old laptop would be to throw it off the texas street bridge into the Missouri river in the middle of the night. im not as skilled as hillary is in bleaching it.

Speaking of the election, anyone seen this video? Project veritas undercover video they are highly respected for being willing to show u what the media wont tell u, they are the ones who put out the planned parenthood video. hear in their own words DNC operatives they filmed talking about illegal fraud voter activities, fixing it so people get injured in trump rallies, and how theyre spending Hillary clintons money to pay homeless people to do this. the people in charge of this were very high up in the democratic party and report directly to Podesta or Clinton, or George Soros.

watch this video, and u will see it cant possibly be fake like PPP thinks it is.

a brighter future

i dont post as often as i used to because not only do i not get paid for posting, i think it negatively affects my winrate in the poker games. that being said, my winrate isnt too bad now after a few good nights in a row, bringing me back to $2100 worth of wins for October right as im halfway thru the month. and on monday or tues i should be getting another $1000. and once i return the laptop, (really dont need it, old one is ok i guess, and id rather use the $400 for more important things) then ill have over $16000, instead of the $15,100 i have now.

only playing poker, (and i guess to a smaller extent playing $1-3 isntead of $1-2) does slowly grow the roll over time. imagine how well off id be if id never played nothing but poker all of the last 25 yrs. (and went from playing $1-2 NL to $1-3, then to Phoenix for $2-3 NL, then elsewhere for $2-5 NL, etc). do each level for like 1 yr each as the money slowly accumulates and this is how most people advance in limits over time, though a lot of them skip the in between step of $2-3. considering how much i blew on BJ or VP or VBJ in the past few years, stopping this leak wouldve saved me close to $50k. then id have the bankroll needed for $2-5, getting my citizenship documents, learning to drive, $5k or so on dentistry, prepaying a yrs rent, etc. what i wish is i could take 20 yrs off my life and be 27 instead of 47, so id have plenty of time and be appealing to women again. or wouldve had the pokerstars opportunity now for the first time when it was loaded with bad players instead of the very tiny roll i had then when spending my entire days online with Britni and Lorna. no one even uses yahoo messenger no more.

But i do feel things will be better from this day going forward (as long as Hillary dont get us into a war with Russia). Let's stay the hell away from attacking Assad, co-ordinate with the Russians against ISIS as trump says, and let them do the work for us. But financially, no more losses in casino games eating the roll up. Josie disappeared a long time ago where she missed out on seeing the day ever come where id be playing nothing but poker.

----well if it wasnt for such poor internet access last night here in my room, i wouldve finished updating this blog yesterday.. but now i can make the blog larger. cdizzy was playing in the room tonight for a while. i was in the game for $1324 and cashed out $1072. lost several pots early on, one with set of 999, one with missed flush and straight draw, one with 444, and one where i gutshotted nut broadway on the turn, and lost to the boat on the river.

so when i wake up, between noon and 4 pm today i can pick up my $1000 for being in the top 30 in hours. this will grow the roll a bit tomorrow once its added. i can still return a laptop to grow it more. got nothing out of my free play chips tonight, i was up a bit, then put them all on 2 spots what was left, but i got dealt 22 against the dealers 5, was forced to use my own money to split, then lost the hand.

Professional poker players dont deserve a LOWER standard of living than the rest of the population, do u agree?

first off, let it be said i NEVER play candy crush saga on my cell at the poker table, only bejeweled. i dont like the small sized screen and prefer to play it on my laptop. im over level 1191 by the way. one thing thats really been bugging me this time in shreveport is my games on facebook, both candy crush and farm heroes saga, will NOT load in my room where i pay by the week. they will ONLY load when in my free rooms in sams town and in the eldorado. which it seems i will still have in november, just got my november offers. how long does it take to cut someone off? im setting a record for the length of time without playing VP or live BJ. and im not playing VBJ machines here either, for those dont exist in shreveport. just run thru my free play 6 times per month at $30 each in sams town instead of 4 times for $34, and the $115 per week in promo chips in the eldorado. people who know my propensity to play those games whove followed this blog for yrs, such as Josie and lightning, know what a major accomplishment this is. This is the main reason i expect to be successful in being much more financially successful by the time im 50 as long as we arent attacked by the Russians with nuclear weapons simply because too many republicans didnt get out to vote for Trump.

on friday night im sitting in a great $1-3 NL game in the eldorado. I'm in the game for $460, and at one point have not much over $200. then i win several hands in a short period of time, including one that amazed me when a new young player whose not a regular and isnt there to get freeroll hours sits on my left and buys in deep. i think he lost back some of his win before this took place if i remember correctly. ive got AK and raise the $6 straddle UTG to $34 in late position. so he makes it $80 on my left, whether we were the blinds or he was the button i dont remember. everyone else got out preflop, and the flop comes A 10 3 with 2 spades. i bet $135 and he goes allin for like $200 more, maybe less. i like the flop because i think it gives him less likely to hold AA. but he goes allin so quickly i worry hes got the set. turned out he only had JJ and i won big.

then shortly thereafter he was replaced by a nice guy whose really good, and bought in for $700. i left to eat, and took my chips. there were 4 women in the game at one point too, including the girl next to me on the other side who swore to me she worked in the strip club but the guy claimed she used to work in the poker room and now floors in the horseshoe. wish i knew whats true. the employees all know her, ive seen her in before talking to the staff, but never playing. she clearly didnt care about the money, was playing really loose.

so i went to eat, then when i got back, sat in the omaha hilow game. why? cause my hour wasnt up yet and Greg swears he wins in that game, dont see how. my win rate logged on my cell is negative $12 per hour in omaha for the year. its $10-20 limit and i lost $400 in the game (almost) over the next 5 hours or so. this gave back a large chunk of the $600 id just won before i went to eat.

So i wanted to have something for the win i had. for this was the biggest $1-3 NL win in quite some time ($460 buyin with a cashout of $1059) i knew i was tired of not being able to play games on facebook at home, I wish i had a bigger fridge too. but i dont like the idea of spending like $150 week more on housing to get it either. wish there was extended stay america here like there is in vegas. and i still need to screen the bank statement i received to fix it so i can play on ignition. i wouldnt be thinking so much of moving if i liked the place im staying in much better. however i do feel its much better than all the siegel suite and budget suites options in vegas.

so i got in a cab and instead of going straight home, i went to walmart. i needed some milk and other food for the fridge anyway, and needed earwax medicine, and an ear syringe. for maybe then i wouldnt need to put the volume close to 100% to easily hear trumps speeches. but i thought maybe a new laptop would fix these issues, and of course, theres the missing a key which dont work (unless of course i use the online keyboard at all times) which i got in the habit of. once u use the free internet where im living, u then no longer get the option to show up for the faster service for a small fee. i dont think it really improves anything anyway.

But when i came home with a new $416 laptop ($37 of which went to state sales tax) (why my roll is now only $13,500) i tried it and couldnt get it to load at first either, and i wasnt too happy. but after quite a long pause with it frozen and buffering, the game loaded and once it loaded, it stayed up for the next 24 hours. im not sure what it would do if i turned my laptop off. so i got to play multiple games and advance about 4 more levels. i tried the faster internet too, for the one day price instead of the 1 month price which is much less overall. i just wanted to see if it made a difference, but it dont seem too.

the question is i got 15 days to decide, do i keep it or return it for a refund? and if i keep it, what do i do with the old one? how would i sell it, and first make sure my passwords arent discovered? i've saved the boxes and receipts in case. and i might spend lots of money for better housing too. i think i deserve a much higher standard of living than im getting if i really can make over $3000 per month in the long run here. it might even be over $4000. theres tons of places to live i've never tested, but im going to test the internet very thouroughly everywhere before i move in from now on. because its so easy to just renew the room instead of move out everytime the rents due to simply due to laziness over moving.

this is the news i spoke of on twitter i dont know if its good or bad i bought this. id rather spend my money doing things which make my life more pleasent than chores like dentistry. i spent $15 more on another 3 books the other day too.

im hoping to get the $1000 on oct 18, then id like to win enough in the freeroll nov 6 to be over $15k or $16k. if i get first and its not chopped, theres a slight chance to be over 20k

Freeroll coming up soon, but not soon enough

wow. i didnt realize til i brought this up just now how long its been since i last updated the blog. i lose interest in it when its not making me any money. speaking of making money, i would love to know if the troopers utube videos earn him money. I cant spend too much time on this blog, because im in my 2 free nites in the eldorado and i must check out by noon. and its after 5 am, i just quit the game since its getting short, (and they never reduce the rake) and i felt im being outplayed. at least i still won, a bit over $140. But still, im only at $13,500 of the $14,100 i had 2-3 days ago. while im doing this, im listening to the VP debate. its too bad Pence isnt the one at the top of the ticket.

im up to 34th place in hours now for the upcoming nov 4 freeroll where the qualifying ends oct 17. at least u get paid right then, without having to wait til after u play the freeroll where the final $35000 will be divided up. but the 30 people in the top hours will get their $1000 immediately, plus the $500 for those in place 31-60. i would be way up in the top 10 if i wouldve arrived 1 month sooner. i'm putting in tons of hours.

not doing good for october, winning nothing for this month, the week before i was winning everyday. still eating my free buffet everyday, and if u have a hotel room, your key will open the door to the gym where theyres free bottled water and apples inside and no employees. i think the reason im winning far less now is everyones learned exactly how i play. i do far better when in new locations all the time, this is why owning a car van or RV would earn me so much more money. plus i seem to be running bad i can think of several hands this week where i suffered bad beats. wish i could remember them so i could post them. i finally got a bank statement too, so im going to learn how to screen it with my phone to see if i can get my bovada address changed for ignition.

if my offers for rooms promo chips and free play end in novemeber since im playing only poker in the eldorado (and nothing at all in sams town,) after the freeroll would be the right time to head towards florida. these offers are the big incentives keeping me here since my winrate is dropping. $31 per hour now for over 600 logged hours in shreveport. when i left, it was $37 per hour for about 450 hours. if it could only sustain $25 hour when it hits 2000 hours, i could then be rich finally earning $50k per year, but i seriously doubt it wouldnt go below it. my overall is still only a bit less than $16 for every room in the US combined.

Wednesday, September 28, 2016

well the first piece of good news is the fact i went a tiny bit over $13,000 today for the first time in quite a few months with todays $500+ win. my goal is to be over $15k by the end of oct. i should be able to get $500 out of making it to the top 60 in hours, and maybe win something in the freeroll too, or with the regular monthly winnings id get in october. Plus im still getting my offers in samstown and the eldorado thouroughout the end of october. Vince told me too my 2 yr contract (in his name) has now expired, so my phone bill will go down to only $60 per month saving me $20.

not much news to talk of otherwise. I would still rather be living within walking distance of a poker room, without being in downtown vegas to do it. been suggested Jacksonville might be the right place for this. if i was very wealthy, st petersborough FL would be the right place for this. very nice apts across the street from derby lane. of course, if i was i could find it in reno too just by prepaying tons of money. they said i would need a cosigner even if i did, but if I was rich i could find someone willing to cosign if i paid them enough.

i wonder if id do better in coushatta than i did the first time? it was weird how i lost 9 of 10 times, and over $2500 within just over a week from poker alone, plus the $1500 VBJ. they did give out rooms generously enough weekdays. even Charlestown WV had some place to live in walking distance. if i had money, the hi-rises in NJ would be a safe walk too.

one of these days, ill have ray teach me to drive. im glad i no longer feel like i need to use the restroom nearly as much. now if i would only see the dentist. Ray said once he wouldnt mind living down here sometime, he once did live in MS. that was before he got divorced from the cocktail waitress in tunica.

and of course its time laundry needs done. im glad ive got over 15 shirts now. but i could still use maybe 15 more as much as i hate washing clothes. when i feel im rich it will be if i live in an apt community with them in the units u live in within walking out the front door.

i won a ton of hands in a short time period today which brought me from the $205 i was in the game for to over $575. then i ate and won more when i returned. the biggest threat was when i had JJ, and the board came 66779, pairing the river, check check i had position. glad he didnt shove. it wouldve been a very hard call.

I know it would be a dumb idea, but i keep feeling like i want to leave.

so why do i feel this way? its not because i dont have cheap housing, although when u consider cab fees back and forth every day, i spend over half on them as i do on rent. it not because the games here are bad. its not because this isnt a good place to live longer term, with good promotions and benefits. (the upcoming october freeroll for example).

IM NOT WINNING HERE ANYMORE. not like i was back in April/May. over $9000 in april, over $5000 in may, before i went to coushatta about june 1. with tonights $400 loss, im up only about $1000 for the entire month, and almost all of this came from the BBJ winnings. my hourly is about $5-6 hour for this month, and would be $2 per hour without the BBJ. I DONT LIKE TO BE LIVING WHERE IM NOT WINNING.

but if i leave before the freeroll ill miss out on $115 per week in promo chips, (at least thru the end of Oct) and the $500 for being in the top 60 hours paid out to everyone who also gets in the freeroll tourny. top 30 hours even get $1000. top 100 in hours get the freeroll.

I enjoyed the game tonight, but i couldnt win. showed a beautiful women named Misty whose a regular my blog, who like me spends lots of her time playing poker. works for the TV station, and talked for a while. now thats the type of girl i wish i had in my life. she was telling another regular how its hard to meet others when all she does when not working is play poker. wish i knew how to find her plentyoffish profile, (shes got this app on her cell).

let me tell u some hand histories, and u guys tell me if played them poorly.

late in the evening, right before i left, i had recently gotten moved to a new table. just went from 3 tables to 2 about 4.30 am. this was a loose guy, especially from the guy in seat 2 making tons of action. id just lost a pot to him and wanted to get back the $250+ i was still out so i could go home to sleep. i need to take notes like Rob does, because i forgot the hand id just lost.

by the way he was taking forever to finish the hand. quite often. too much beer. the really funny thing was he was so drunk he drank out of the bottle next to him the guy was storing his spit in.

so im dealt AK, and the whole table limps or folds $3 to me. i know only KK or AA dominate me, so im hoping for a call against the drunk guy with a weaker king or ace. the hand before he called some big bets pre and post which id lost. come to think of it i just remember the hand i made it $17 with aq, he makes it $50 with 44. one other guy calls, flop comes 667, he bets $35 allin, i call, other guy folds, and i missed.

so i shove $380 allin, and he thinks forever, then calls $172, everyone else folds, as id hoped. he has 94 of diamonds. then he got lucky and outdrew me. this is when i swore id go on my BB. yes the games good but ive lost enough, and im tired. he went broke in the next 5 hands too.

on a different table earlier (before i moved to omaha8 $10-20--and recovered $170) i was dealt 99 preflop. no one raised. flop comes 843, both blinds check, guy under the gun bets $10. i bet $25 only the SB calls, and the guy UTG bets $21 more allin. well im not sure what the SB has, but i feel obligated to find out and call the other guy since hes got not much more and so much is in the pot. instead of calling, i reraise again to $25 more to find out the strength of the limper. he then shoves allin for $70 more, so i fold, thinking i found out. turns out i read him pretty well, he had what he thought was the winner, he wasnt bluffing. problem is he had ace 8. i knew he had top pair top kicker or better, and this was the ONLY hand i could beat, so most of the time it wouldve been a good fold, hard to see how i played it poorly.

another time i had 45 suited. flop comes Q34, only 1 of my suit. i call the bet from the asian lady other end of table who made it $8 preflop. Misty behind me calls too. (with 56) turn comes A putting 3rd club on the board. asian lady checks, i bet $25, misty calls. asian calls. i feel theyre weak and wouldve raised me if they turned the flush. i put the asain lady on JJ with one club, or something very much like it. river comes 6 no club. asain checks, i bet $65, both fold, misty hitting 6 on end to win if she calls,  the asian lady sure looked like she folded the winner once i showed. one lucky bluff i succeeded on.

the return of Cdizzy11

I feel bad about the previous blog post which wasnt so nice to cdizzy, (the one i removed the other day). She returned to Shreveport a few days later, and let me know the night before she would be bringing a suitcase with some food and clothing items, some of which came from her, some from her church. this is a bigger sized suitcase with wheels, and will be quite useful. and yes, this time i made sure id be available and downstairs to pick it up and bring to my room. Tomorrow ill be back home again, no more free rooms this week. the fact she would not be mad about the previous blog and go ahead and do these things for me after all, shows her genuine sincerity and the same type of love for others Jesus had. so im extremely thankful to her for all she did. now instead of the 6-7 shirts i brought from vinces house, ive now got like 15. (including the ones i bought used). plus ive got plenty of pants now instead of 1.

i'm still holding close to $12,200 so i guess im doing ok, but still, for the entire month of sept, im winning $7 per hour for this month. and guess what id be winning per hour were it not for the BBJ? good thing i won over $1000 in the bitcoin this month, because the poker wins alone werent enough to live on. still got close to $110 on Bovada too but its almost sept 30 when ill need to remove it unless ive got a bank statement yet to switch over to prove residency.

if anyone here knows docglock from AVP (Greg) he's living in this area (and the new orleans / biloxi) areas for some time. he sat at my table today. i sat in the horseshoe for awhile with cdizzy yesterday. rode there with her after i took the suitcase to the room. the horseshoe really isnt a boat worth visiting. theres no usb outlets there. most people only go there because its part of harrahs (and much bigger sized).

went to room (this is why rooms come in handy--even when u have a regular place to live.) im not used to having BOTH at the same time. but when i got out of the hole and $147 up, i left to eat my free buffet, then go to the room to type the new blog. amazing how many of the other bloggers linked in here arent updating their blogs.

Tuesday, September 20, 2016

well ive got some good news, (and some bad news).

We will get the bad news out of the way by getting rid of it first. i lost $508 yesterday in the $1-3, and $342 today in the $1-3. my hourly rate JUST FOR SEPTEMBER is $5 per hour. i dont think id have that if it wasnt for the BBJ getting cracked at my table saturday, my share being $841. total winnings in september are $947.

this dont include ALL of the winnings, (add in the free promo chips i get every week, the $34 weekly in free play next door, and close to $1000 worth of bitcoin all off $23). theres only $25 left in bitcoin not sent to the bank. i got the last $700 worth in the bank this morning. (shipped last thurs-fri)

seems like im not the only one failing to update the blog often lately.

Bought 3 books today, used of course, for like $3-5 each book. then bought 3 shirts for like $15 more total. i will now have close to 12 and i need to do laundry. the news u guys will consider to be the good news is i went to the Velocity urgent care center. its like 2 blocks from the IV dentists office here im going to get price quotes on. for $125, they saw me, spent $10 more filling a prescription for 20 pills of amoxicillin in CVS later. good news is theres no UTI (urine test came back ok). they did think the frequent urination of tiny amounts is likely prostatitis so this is what the amoxicillin is for. 2 pills per day for 10 days.

i'd like to keep this short, because im tired. just wanted to close out the previous blog and relate the news this is now off my mind. well somewhat at least, i hope this will help in making me feel ill soon be pissing more normally again. Ray called up this place to find it for me, told me the price before i went in. $125 plus $4 urine test.

who from NJ or Reno knows david coates the poker player? (min buys $40 every time). i dreamed last night i came back to the table in a tourny, and found him with his chips merged with mine and him playing them. i dreamed i put him in a bearlock, and security wouldnt come to the table like they shouldve and no one cared. finally he suggested we split the chips and keep playing, so we wouldnt both be thrown out of the tourny.

surviving on such a low bankroll in $1-3. ill be happy with it never going under $20 per hour here.

Well, my rent is paid up thru this Saturday and im $120 richer than when i stepped off the plane friday morning. But expenses eat up the money fast, remember ive won over $300 in the game this first 3 sessions, and the $115 in promotional chips. (ill get $115 more tomorrow). the money went for housing, (weeks rent) groceries, and constant cab fares seeing no lyft here. no money was used to play machines or to buyin to non-poker casino games. only promotional chips which cant be cashed in.

I still need to have a bank statement sent either here to verify my home address since i dont receive utility bills or to Rays house so i can switch my state on Bovada away from NV. this will fix it so ill be able to play on Ignition after sept 30.

this was quite the scary roller coaster ride today. i lost my $100 buyin, my $120 rebuy, then 2 more $100 buyins. when down to the last $46 out of $420, i took one big risk by rebuying one 4th time for $300, (something Grump said to me on twitter tonight he would never do). so the most i wouldve lost tonight wouldve been $720, quite a substantial portion of my roll if it wouldve happened. i started to come back a bit and soon switched tables, in fact, i did more than once. This is partly due to only 1 table having chargers which worked tonight, but not fully. i moved once to get away from someone whose quite lucky.

when i left to get my cab home, i was at $808 of my $720 in buyins. whew. what a relief.

yes i was quite concerned i might drop too much today early on. Examples of hands include one in which there were multiple people in, flop comes 457 i bet the pot with 88, get 3 callers, turn comes 8 i bet $20 guy puts me allin, and i miss my boat. (before my $300 rebuy). then earlier i flopped 4 clubs with the 79 clubs (called small raise preflop on the button) on flop of Q63. turn 5 for open end gutter straight draw too, which doubles my outs. 3 on river misses everything. Then one pot i got AQ, raise preflop, get too many callers, and go allin on the flop with shortstack on flop of A34. got called by 2 guys, both who were on gutshots, one with K5, the other with 92. guy with 92 goes runner runner flush. and that pot was over $300 with the river bet and turn. then trying to play well, fold to the preflop raise once with AJ. flop comes A2J turn A.

im thinking of staying put a while unless i get so broke i need to live with ray since i cant afford rent. its quite a bit less than my rent in reno, so hopefully i wont get so broke i wont be able to pay it. flushdraw is right, i dont need to do any more traveling than absolutely neccessary. i dont often follow advice unless its poker advice.

im well aware unless i put $500+ into play on the table as often as i did when the roll was $15-20k, the $9000 per month and the $37 per hour won (id misremembered it as $35) the hourly will drop. already its dropped from close to $38, to not much over $36. this is due to the $80+ wins for multiple hours being less than $37 per hour. it will go down much further of course before it stabilizes. but if i could do 200 hours per month, $20+ per hour $4000 monthly covers my bills plus grows the roll. PPP will get to see once more where ill be when i hit 1000 hours. im at 447.

Left Vegas early Friday morning via plane to go back "home"

Thurs nite, when Vince picked me up in Boulder station, where i lost $28 real quickly in $2-4 limit while waiting for my $1-2 NL seat, and then eventually ground it to over $140 profit. we stopped in Jerrys nugget on the way home to use up my remaining $30 food comps, and while there, i played a few hands of ultimate TX holdem on the machine, winning $42. then Vince suggested i quit. Then we got the food.

i like to think my blog is useful and helpful to people who havent been visitors to vegas much. in the previous blog or one a few entries prior, i mentioned how the new slot club sign up promotion in Jerrys nugget gives u $100 in free play for ur first 1000 points if earned before midnite on the day of sign up. (normally only worth $1). this includes $40 meal comps too. seeing what a huge value this is, (u can run $1000 in coin in thru most any VP machine and lose far less than $100) did any of u who dont have this card ever bother to go do it? one of the easiest ways for a first time tourist to get $100.

i made sure they had my address right (vinces house) instead of the address on my ID. ive missed out on lots of offers due to them using the one on my ID in other casinos. first thing i did when stepping off the plane this morning in shreveport, was take a cab to my room (no uber). tomorrow ill renew it for long term. wifi works good here. then i slept most of the day, and finally went to the eldorado for 3 or so hours late this evening. i went to the players club to get a copy of my card, and checked to see if i had any promotions i didnt know of. turns out ive been getting $400-550 in free promotional chips every month (divided up by the week) i knew nothing about. so ive missed out on quite a bit. of course, now that i redeemed this weeks $115 in free chips, and will again next week on the first new day (monday) ill soon be cut off since im only playing poker. but the free buffet every day ill always have with my gold card.

i wouldve never got those for not such huge BJ losses in april/may i couldnt afford. now the promotional chips i did have to play BJ tonight with those. so i bet til they were gone and the pit boss remembered me by name, and remembered i play poker. seemed very friendly. Young black girl, very goodlooking woman. usually works in poker. considering they take the promo chip EVEN WHEN U WIN, (to replace with real money chips) $115 in promo chips is really worth only about half. (unlike in the golden nugget in LV NV where u keep them til u lose). so i considered myself lucky to leave the BJ table with exactly $100 out of the $115 in promo chips. i won almost every bet. then immediately left, since im certainly not risking my own money on BJ this trip. i used it for my $1-3 NL buyin.

Broke my reading glasses on my plane but bought a better pair tonight in walmart once i left the game while up $170 ($270 counting the promotion). Bought a weeks worth of food, plus other stuff i needed, to cook in the microwave, clean dishes, and store water in the fridge. my pocket JJ held up on a hand i think i played too unaggressively, my KK got me a nice pot, and a turned straight got me a small pot. after being up close to $200, i didnt think i could continue to play my best as low as the roll is so i quit after losing back $42 over a short time. its much easier to play confidently with over $15k, which is why i think i did good the last time i was here. but i did want to pick a city i could win in.

u see, when i first went to the airport this morning at 5am (in a $26 lyft who long hauled me using the tunnel) there were 4 different allegiant flights flying out between 7am and 730 am. to cities such as shreveport, Billings, Peoria, Grand rapids, etc. i couldve took the nightime amtrak from the las vegas airport shuttle bus to Kingman/then albuquerque via train for $99. i decided to make sure i was in a city which had more games and where i knew id win. Grand Rapids wouldve been quite the drive for Ray to pick me up. why Akgal, AC, and Washdude automatically assumed MT i dont know. flights to kalispell werent even on the menu to pick from today.

The no Uber (or lyft) here really is a big issue though. and the bus service isnt good either. u cant even look it up on google maps since its not coordinated with google.

im surprised louisiana isnt on the list of banned states, but i think ill just send my bank statements to me here, this way i can change my city by sept 30 so i wont be shut out on Bovada.

Trip report. Redrock. Poker Palace. Jerrys Nugget. Orleans. and the guy who cost the dealer a $5 tip

First off, i'm worried. why am i worried? Well u see, this is due to PPP and the wonderful advice he gives me. he suggested i track 100% of my poker sessions, u see. well ive been doing this since i lost my records last fall, and since september, theres lots of records. and my phone does an excellent job of sorting them properly due to the fact i picked the right app (poker Income)

the most i remember it being since returning from shreveport was $17.29 per hour, (reno shortly before i left to come here) so why'd i come here? well it was to meet someone in a bar far out from downtown vegas and no this isnt something ill get into on this blog. i thought id turn and leave soon. But i stuck it out since i knew lightning was enroute. (except for a short time period out of town).

Plus, i dont know where the fuck to go, (Toledo, Florida, Reno, or ???) and im not feeling like blowing money on airfare. though i did learn about Frontier recently and their cheap flights which dont show up on standard reservation sites to quite a few cities. all i know is i will run out of money if i remain here.

but yeah, my cell keeps very good records and its well filtered. i know my hourly is now $15.03 per hour for over 1734 hours and thats a mighty huge drop, and worrying if my income is sufficient to survive. of course, this means for just vegas, its going to be NEGATIVE. my best days (in hourly rate) are tues fri and thurs. all with over TWICE the rates on the other 4 days. and sun and sat are definitely the worst. $26 per hour on thurs, $5 per hour on sun.

$9111 winnings in april
$5499 in May
minus $447 in june
$4656 in july (peppermill is good)
$1678 in august, some from before i left the Hyatt in incline
minus $1165 so far in sept

for the entire year most of the winnings were in shreveport in less than 2 months. is this standard?? i mean this is definitely an anomoly and i think its something i should know.

these records definitely say dont play any form of omaha whatsoever. and to get out of vegas as quick as possible. and though this cannot be tracked, i do think they also say quit for the day when down over 2% of the roll since then u start risking too much to get even. Screw Ferguson and his 5% rule. 1-2% is plenty.

Yes im out $1500+ in 3 days all from poker. Plus some from other means.(the machine in Jerrys nugget). i went there after leaving the nugget $700 stuck on friday. while there to play ultimate Tx holdem video machine, (where every $1 thru it is 1 point and 1000 points is $1) since i found out i didnt have a card in the past, i qualified for quite the promotion. if u get 1000 points before midnite the day u sign up u get $100 free play. (normally $1) so i thought, how can i lose?

not only that, u get $40 in meal comps too. which me and Vince used. i lost over $300 even getting the free play, and earned 1711 points. the machine might be rigged and i only quit it because it shut down on me and they had to get it fixed and hand pay me. seems every time i shouldve won with flopping a straight on nice big 4x bets of $25, the dealer would somehow pull the boat. but early on i was up over $150 on it before everything went wrong. seems the max bet is $25 (plus the 4x of course) this is per spot. a $25 max bet is actually $50, possibly $150

then Vince and i went to the poker palace where i somehow won $227 on live table BJ. still the best live table BJ in vegas. $2-50 min/max. pays 3-2 and they loosened the rules for the better, starting 2-3 months back u can now double down on the 3rd card. means if the dealer shows 7, u have 3-4 then draw 4, u can still then double down on your total of 11.

but once the tourney started losing players and the live game started (single $2 BB, no cap buyin, $60 min--previously used to be $40) i ended up losing $37 before i left with Vince.

this morning when i woke up vince drove me to orleans and dropped me off. and of course again i lost over $250 in the NL. only thing i won on was the horrible even money 7 hands at once VBJ terminals old binions style machine, which wynn used to offer. won close to $40.

i can report the orleans rake is $3 plus jackpot. so not too bad.

Vince got me in the orleans tonight, to drive us to santa fe to play omaha. but the game broke enroute, so we went to the redrock instead. i got immediately seated in a LOOSE $1-2, which i didnt think existed there, and once the idiot left it tightened up lots. guy kept straddling $4, (and raising his straddle to $25-35) so on the 3rd time, i shoved with A5 of spades. (after already dropping $100 early). but this time instead of raising with J9 like he done before, he had 10 10 and i lost my entire buyin. then i pulled out my final $100 (from $1586 when id left the elcortez friday morning) and eventually was back to $240+. but i lost it all on the final pot when a new guy been there 2-3 orbits reshoved over my $27 reraise of his $7 in EP. i called thinking he has much better than my QQ but im too tired on tilt to fold. turns out it was a good call, hes got A9 suited. of course we are allin preflop, and he wins when the turn comes with the A.

if he wouldve read me correctly, he would know im never folding there preflop. horrible play by him, he got lucky.

in the orleans earlier i made 2 horrible plays. one i didnt raise with AA UTG and 7 seen the flop of KJ4 rainbow. guy in last position bets $10, i check raise $25 more. he calls. K hits turn i shouldve snap folded. i check he bets his KQ $45 i call, and call $50 more on the river. he was very young and won heavily a couple hours earlier before he left and came back too.

the other bad play involved making it $12 preflop with JQ suited. older guy on the button says $31. i call, one other guy does. flop comes J57 we check, he bets $45, guy folds, i call and another blank on the turn. on the turn he puts me allin for under $100. he got AA

i did win one pot in the redrock, with 10 10. this is how i got back to $240 from the final $100. flopped set against guys top pair. i think he mightve been a dealer, his friend was from the aria playing on my left. they all knew everyone. he left when his alarm on his house went off but then returned.

very next hand im dealt 10 10 again. i raise the guy on my left called. flop comes 257 with 2 to one suit. i bet $30, he bets $65. i dont wish to fold, but think im losing for sure. i offer to fold and give him $1 if he shows, hes silent. then i ask well how much would i need to give u if i fold to see it. hes still silent, wont reply for any amount. im not hollywooding, i just wish to fold and verify the read. finally i (knowing hes a dealer and been big into tipping) offer to fold and tip the dealer $5 if he shows. he still wont do it. but i folded anyway.

i dont want to hear trolls commenting how it was a bad fold.

all this bad luck wouldve never happened were it not for the first $700+ lost in the nugget $1-2 friday morning/afternoon before i went to jerrys nugget. the hand which set me off and where i later pissed off $200 on bad calls from 2 $100 rebuys took place after the $450+ hand with the loose tourist and his friend from TX, 2 of them, other guy from England. loud guy from TX playing all night, loosest guy there, makes a raise $25 more preflop, i reraise with AA $100 more, he shoves over $800 with KK. i call, and the board comes to give him 4 kings. everyone but me is having wondeful time, most dont care about money, hes buying drinks, tipping big, and i never showed the aa except to the guys beside me. and im sick.

most of my remaining unused food comps are in wynn. still got over $100 worth

stole 1 pot tonight with 46 of clubs, guy raises the straddle preflop to $26 i call by then thouroughly on tilt. since 3 others did and next to the button. flop comes A83 one club, we all check. turn comes 7. checked to me, i bet $55, both fold thankfully then i show for FREE.

the $2 chips in the redrock set me on tilt bigtime too, id forgotten they use them. that and the fact some guy dont know who was shaking the table underneath it right as i was grabbing my coffee and it spilt all over my cell and myself while still hot.
