scary incident in Biloxi

Ray doesnt really know why i left Katy immediately for Coushatta. Ray also bought me a pair of pants. And that pair of pants comes in really handy, cosidering how bad i needed another pair since the old ones have a hole in the pocket. plus there are extra pockets on the legs to carry a phone charger and a cord.

i forgot to tell u guys of something that happened to me in Biloxi a month or 2 ago on the way down to Florida when Ray was driving us there from Houston. i should have mentioned it in a much earlier blog. There was a truck driving poorly and to avoid hitting it Ray had to swerve over into another lane. and then a lady in a car somewhat behind us (im not sure exactly what happened) but she did something to damage her car and Ray was worried about her and he drove back to check on her, which is a good thing, but i felt that it was nothing to worry about, and i didnt think she actually done anything to her car, and for my safety, being paranoid it being in the middle of the night i wanted dropped off at the casino we were headed to 2 blocks away first. plus at the time i still had a lot of cash in my pocket. its not like today where i keep having to take another $1000 out of the ATM, (for the 3rd time this week) after losing all of the other $13k in cash.

he suggested i stay in the car when he went to talk to her. turned out it was a black lady and there was a black guy in the car with her, which really made me nervous considering they might of wanted to beat the shit out of us had they really damaged the car. but he didnt realize that she wasnt driving alone.

he ended up giving them $100 voluntarily (which he certainly couldnt afford to do) i guess he felt responsible and he thought and they thought they needed a tow truck but it turned out they didnt because 20 minutes later their car was gone. im just glad we didnt get robbed or shot and i was irate at the time he didnt let me out of the car before he went back 2 blocks to check on them as we were pulling into the casino.

i am scared to death of going broke. i had my bankroll finally below 40k because of all the recent losses on the big easy video blackjack machines and i know theyve got to be rigged and cheating me. and then i still went out and threw away $2500 tonight on them after first winning $38 in $1-2 NL. i was never up more than about $80 in the $1-2 NL. but the $1-2 NL game here is loose enough unlike most of the high raked $1-2 NL games. Please say a prayer for me, because i need God to deliver me from the spirit of a wild donkey. (david wilkersons words). if u dont know who he is, he is the one who founded Times square church and teen challenge on helping people with addictions of various kinds.

Also i spent $93 today at Publix loading up the freezer with more groceries to carry me over til my sunday next week checkout date.

Even though the rake is less at the Big Easy than the rooms with the looser games in Miami, and the $1-2 NL isnt nearly as nitty and tight at the Big Easy than the games at the Seminole Hard Rock, i wonder if i would be better off taking Uber there for $20 (its only $11 to the Big Easy or $2 if u use Ride Circuit app). Simply because they dont have any video blackjack machines only $25 and up live BJ instead which doesnt tempt me because the minimum bet is too high. but overall the Seminole isnt nearly as good a room because all it basically has is higher limit games than many people want to play. they only do it because theyre a bunch of rich guys who only care about overcoming the high rake.

i even failed to offer to run it twice on a hand tonight (although i wouldve always done it if asked) but i didnt ask because it wasnt a very big pot and i dont like them taking an extra drop if they ran it twice. they do that with the excuse u can get the high hand even if they go twice so they use it as an excuse to charge u twice. and that is something i never ever do i always ask right away.

also i threw away a high hand too. i had a small pocket pair of 77 and because i knew a guy was going to raise i folded it preflop would have flopped quads. am i playing too tight out of fear? why doesnt this same fear keep me from playing blackjack?

I'm actually scared to leave my room and go to the cardroom anymore, and i really miss being in texas where i wasnt around any of my other bad habits. i keep staying home until late in the day because i know even if i get up 100-300 and want to hit and run, there is no other game to go to since i cant afford the PLO (the min buy is 200 here instead of 100) and the other room is $20 Uber ride away unlike in Dallas. so i end up going out to the video BJ machine. i kind of got half a mind to go to a city where there is no way to gamble at all. all these drops are freaking me out, seeing as i have about 38k left of over 65k i had when i first got to florida.

i just feel like if im paying over $3500 a month for a place to stay and almost $800 in resort fees not to count the few hundred for tax, about 1-2 blocks from the beach, i might as well get full use of it.

i guess it wouldnt be a good idea for me to stay down here long term like i originally thought. i had heard so many good things about Florida poker and there are so many different rooms i was going to buy a trailer for $2900 in the trailer park about 3 blocks away from the Big Easy and i couldve lived there forever for only $960 a month in lot rent and about $150 a month in electric. but this trailer was really shitty on the inside and the guy who owned it had to flee the country a few months ago and the park was anxious to find someone to buy it. i would have had to install a bed, a table and chairs, a refridgerator, a stove a microwave, etc. it was basically empty inside and run down. id have spent a few thousand fixing it up inside too.

i told them about my lack of credit and income but at the time was a lot wealthier than i am now, and i offered to prepay up to 6-12 months and they told me they would accept proof of bank statements for the last 6 months, so i went out to all 3 banks and got those. that will show i rarely have less than 25-50k in the bank which is better than a lot of others have in cash on hand. and its a damn shame its no longer the case. i would have also had a background check but thats basically for the last 10 years and old stuff wont show up. also i would have had to go thru an interview. i finally think its too complicated a process and i dont really belong here, but it sure wouldve cut my expenses down to nothing because im not going to have enough to live ive lost too much.

wtf did i ever come to florida for? my addiction to VBJ is getting worse

i wish i would have never came to Florida. I had about 25,000 more when i hit the Florida state line than i do today, and only about $6000 of it was spent on hotels and maybe about 8k total counting food and Ubers. (Ray flew back to Toledo once his car broke down to buy another one).

Almost all of the money lost was lost on blackjack. almost all of the bitcoin i had online, plus several losses of $1000-5000 on all the 3-2 Video blackjack machines around south Florida. i had $13,200 cash when i came to the area, and earlier tonight i was down to only $42 of that, so i went and took another $1000 out of the ATM. i even won over $300 at poker tonight in the $1-2 NL, (it was a looser game than normal which u need it to be as high as the rake is) but im still about $200 poorer when i got back to my hotel because of what i lost on VBJ.

I've barely got about 40k left. Plus i had to send my mother $1385 to pay for the filing of my citizenship paperwork, someone is helping her with it.

Also the games in Miami are much looser than the games in the Fort Lauderdale area, and they have a little bit higher rake upfront too, but the only really good PLO game that can be beaten is the game at Magic City casino in Miami. the reason why its beatable is its the only game without a Mississippi straddle. no game can be beaten if u are always forced to act first because of people either button straddling or Mississippi straddling to steal your button. the blinds in the Magic City game are $1, $2 and a 3rd mandatory blind of $10 (which they call a straddle, making it the ONLY straddle in that game). but its under the gun instead of on the button which makes it a far better game.

yeah its the only way to beat the PLO. get rid of any and all button straddles and MS straddles and force people to do it under the gun regardless of it they want to or not. fuck letting people have a choice.

i get tired of watching rich people blow hundreds of dollars on massages at the table that should be banned. no one wants to look at someone getting a massage. Eating at the table should be banned too, no one wants to have to look at rich people who have far more money than u who never earned it or deserved it and got it only from exploiting the working class. and u have to sit and watch them order a meal about 3 times in a 6 hour period and pay about $20 each time and another $5 tip. People shouldnt be allowed to eat just because they are hungry, they should wait til they get back home just like i do. ill go all day without ever eating til its time to go to bed.

In an ideal society that was just for all people, the death penalty would be mandatory for having a job, having a place to live, having access to credit cards, being physically able to drive, etc. all the things that the common man doesnt have access to because he wasnt born privledged like other people. an awful lot of people in the US do not have any of those things.

this is why u want to throw up when u see people buying into the poker game for more than the minimum buyin. how dare they have more money than me and be able to afford to buyin deep when ive played every day for 30-40 years and still have to min buy to make sure i never run out of buyins and always have 200 or more buyins in my bankroll.

they certainly havent earned it or deserve it. they play like shit and they play way too many hands. they wont fold hands like AJ offsuit under the gun or wait for the button to pass when they sit down. so how do they not run out of money and go broke and be able to sit there and play every day? i certainly wouldnt be able to play every day for that many years if i played that way. at least i try to win.

i just wish i could stop playing video blackjack and online blackjack. its a horrible habit and a terrible addiction. but at least if im going to do something minus EV, ill do it away from poker. this is why i wont straddle the button, but will lose a ton of money martingaling a video blackjack machine

the smart thing for me to do is to leave Florida once my place ends on Nov 23. take a train to a regular casino that rakes the pot normally, maybe $1 for the jackpot at $10 and $1 for the house up to a maximum of $6. not the $2 plus $2 at $10, or even worse $4 right out as soon as the pot is $6. you can get almost everywhere in the country on Amtrak from the Miami Ft Lauderdale area. there is a direct train into Chicago and also a direct train all the way up to Philadelpia. and from Chicago u can easily get to Reno or Dallas or Minneapolis or anywhere else u might want to settle in as your final stop. the cost of Uber here, and the cost of a place to stay for the winter is much higher than many cities across the USA. its not just the rake, and by the way if u play at the Seminole, or further north, u would be surpised how nitty the NL games can be.

i also think the game at Hialeah can be beaten (the PLO game) but i am not used to a game with only a $10-25 button straddle and no blinds so im not sure how to adjust and play it. now me, i would never do it for $25 like some will but only $10. since there are no blinds, u need to play much tighter than normal. but with no blinds i would think a tight player could win.

life in Houston part one and life in Miami part one

well its been quite a while since i updated the blog. ive lost interest in it because it always gets me into trouble, and makes it harder to make money since i dont get paid for this blog. Plus, a lot of the readers i liked the most no longer read it. Many of them were democrats who got fed up with my beliefs. no one reads blogs anymore. Lightning and Rob Vegas Poker will remember the days people were getting offered up to $400 for advertisers to write things promoting their business on the blogs.

I still think it would be smarter to get a place for a month instead of by the week on Priceline, but i always worry my low reviews on airbnb will make it harder to get someone to agree to accept my reservation since its often mentioned i keep the place a little messy. But of course the last thing u want is to be in a hotel when u sleep during the day, u damn sure dont want housekeeping waking u up knocking on the door.

what the hell is going on with XRP still being only about $3? its getting its ETFs approved in october and a couple are going now but its still not moving up enough. by the end of the year there are an enormous amount of models expecting it to be at least $7-20 somewhere, and in 5 years 1000-10000 a coin.

im certainly saving a lot of money with Ray here. the costs of motels and food is far less than it would otherwise be. But i constantly worry about Ray losing his bankroll, although for the time being hes still doing much better than me in PLO. all my wins recently have been in NL, ive had several times ive turned $100 into over $500 in 1-3 NL.

----------------2 months later------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i am in the miami area, just got through paying for a month. all of the above is old news on a never finished blog, and im a lot poorer now than i was then with only a little over 51k and Ray too is much poorer.

i'll tell u how i won a pot in Magic city yesterday. it was my first time playing there in many years and its about the only place i can play PLO in where im not immediate recognized as a nit by sitting down with my measly $200. in Miami, most of the players in all 3 poker rooms no habla Ingles. same way if u try and ask the staff anything. and they spell Tony as Tonni when u go to sign the waitlist.

the $4 taken on $10, 2 for the rake and $2 or the jackpot, will kill u in the $1-2 NL games or smaller at quite a few rooms, but not quite all rooms thank God. but the rake here is really horrible all over this whole area all the way up to Pompano Beach.

but if u stick to only playing PLO everywhere u wont notice the rake since u arent playing any pots of $10. and im surprised how many players seem to know me from somewhere but not here at magic city. i made it $40 preflop (blinds are $1-2-10) and got like 6 callers, so that tells u its loose. flop comes 10 3 4 all in diamonds and ive got A5 diamonds A6 spades in my hand.

i bet pot, guy check raises me, another guy calls and we all get it in and go twice and like most places they take more if u run it twice. i hate this because it discourages people from running it twice. i had to offer to pay the rake for him to get a guy to go twice the other day at a different place. Turn card is an ace, so now i dont have to worry about losing with my nut flush if the board pairs. turns out the other 2 players had the king high flush (the check raisor) and the caller had the jack hi flush along with 2 pair on the flop.

But that just goes to show u how loose the action is.

about the only poker win ive had. ive had a few live blackjack wins at the seminole, but also a loss of 11-13k online where all my bitcoin disappeared again. its why the roll is low. that and giving Ray money. the games in Tampa were awful nitty games, but winning here is easier. had a few other wins since leaving Tampa and Jacksonville. the worst loss was the huge live blackjack loss in Biloxi where the Palace casino threw me out for counting cards even when i was stuck $811 at the time and then i went to Treasure island and blew over 1800 more.

ill be glad when the shutdown ends so xrp can finally start moving up. its certainly much less than $3 now.
