the 45 of spades

normally this wouldnt be nearly enough for a blog post, but theres nothing much to write about unless u want me to write about seeing the dentist and spending well over $1600 tuesday, and besides this post is long overdue.

as far as seeing the dentist goes, Ray rented a car again so we would be able to go and of course, as ive told everyone hundreds of times in previous blogs, the dentist will not do IV sedation unless u have someone with u who can drive u home. and watch over u the rest of the day once u get home. and there was so much work we found in an xray and exam needing done that they also filled a tooth that day, and i have another 2-3 cavities that should be done in the next couple months or so if i dont want them getting worse and also they suggest a good deep cleaning needs done. so i did more than just have one tooth removed tuesday.

and i hope im not eating too aggressively to avoid getting dry socket but ive never had it yet in my life.

we have both won money since coming to Houston, but my expenses are so incredibly high. with what ive spent on food, ubers, car rental fees, replacing phones and buying phones, buying chargers, normal bills, airbnbs, dentists, etc ive spent at least $4500 or so since leaving deadwood and ive won about $2500 or more since then too. but it goes out a little quicker than it comes in.

i could possibly stay where i am if i had more money, the lady in the rental office could give me a 3 month lease if i prepaid and passed a records and eviction check even with poor credit. but it wouldnt be the unit off airbnb it would be a normal unit 100 percent unfurnished with absolutely nothing in it and the airbnb unit has everything needed, dishes, and a ton of furniture, towels, everything u need and is why its about 600-800 more per month than renting the usual way.

well i was playing tonight and getting tired and i hadnt had much to play and was ahead 50 or so a couple times but most of the time i wasnt and i was ready to go home and eat and get online. But then again, i had less than 1 percent of my roll on the table, and i dont usually quit unless im either ahead, or am down more than 1 percent. i was only in the game for $160 at the time.

had it up to 223, and was down to about 180 or so at the time of this hand. and that was the most i was ever up. and i seen the flop for the $6 straddle along with a few others. flop comes 3,6,K with 2 diamonds. so im sitting there with an open end straight draw. and the guy in seat 2 bets $30 and a guy calls, and so do i. i cant shove and try to get fold equity with my tight image because if a flush draw calls with 2 cards to come i cant beat any.

turn comes 9 of clubs and he bets again, other guy calls and i call, wondering if the other guy is drawing for the flush. river comes 10 of spades. so i have nothing and they both check and i shove my stack out of frustration and boredom, thinking i cant win a check and my fold equity should be good for something when i play no hands. you know how they say u must give action to get action? totally not true, for i constantly get action when i give none. the guy in seat 2 folds, like i thought he might but then the other guy calls and he has KQ. wtf didnt he raise the flop or turn? hes letting others draw cheap. bad play in my opinion. he isnt trapping or he would bet the river the second the guy checks.

i dont think i should check, and give up with nothing but 5 high no pair, especially as much as is in the pot.

i rebought and eventually an hour later during a bomb pot i won a pot and left over 200 up. i used to hate those but then i discovered i can get a big edge only playing them in very late position. like the button or next to it. and u cant hardly play anything in houston, holdem or omaha without bomb pots in all the cardrooms now. wasnt that way when i left town.

in the bomb pots they put 5 in and the flop is dealt, with 2 boards. and its omaha. i had nothing but 3489. and the top is 67K and the bottom is 326 or something close to it.

everyone checked the flop so i got a free look and the dealer put another 6 on top and another 3 on the bottom. a guy bets $25 and a few call and i did too though thats a loose call. i had just won a pot and i do not remember what with, but i wasnt sure if i was up because id lost track of how much i was in for. i thought i might have been up 100 or more though.

river comes 4 on bottom for 33344 and 5 on top for 9 high straight. guy checks, new guy bets 65 who i think is young and too aggressive and down a bit and often loses though he tries to win. and the loosest player is allin for $85. i shove well over 400 and get the one guy out and the guy who bet 65 thinks and then calls. he has a boat on top but certainly not the nuts and we split because my boat is good on the bottom, and the guy who made it 85 has none of the pot. had the other guy folded and not called the other 400 i couldve scooped the pot. was it right to shove?

Houston poker

well me and Ray have been in Houston over a week, and i must say we are both winning. not every time of course, but overall, and we have a decent airbnb in which to live. i still would like to see us buy an old used car, but $225 a week (with poor credit) is too much to rent a car all the time, but it will be needed for next weeks dentist appt and a trip to coushatta to pick up a ton of free play over NYE weekend.

i took him around to quite a few different casinos, including some ive never visited since i had a car. one place had a PLO8 game id never got to play and we both won over $300 in it, but that game only goes once per week and its way outside of town. he likes the fact the bus up and down Gessner, Richmond, and westheimer is so convenient. he was surprised at how easy the omaha games are to win it, and how big Houston is and how close everything is as far as things like banks and stores.

and then i had to get a much better phone too and a good battery for charging it. ive spent a ton of money since i arrived here from deadwood. and ive got a lot more to spend. still will need a car again in the future, the dental work next week and then possibly renewing an apt for 3 more months.

Ray thinks this airbnb is one of the nicest places he has ever stayed in, since everything in it is completely furnished. see we get to use their dishes, etc. a lot of kitchen supplies, etc. its easy to build money when he cant play nothing but poker instead of machines which is why he never had a roll.

say to say my mother has covid, which means my son in the group home he lives in since they took over guardianship of him from my mother against his and her will, will not be able to see her for christmas. her being close to 80 has me a little worried about her health but its been going on 18-19 days and she has not been in the hospital because the doctor said she was ok as long as it wasnt affecting her lungs or breathing any. she never did get a chance to see the eye doctor which was so important because of it and the lady who was taking her is the one who unknowingly gave her the virus.

but of course if u read her facebook, she still would never touch the vaccine. those things are not good and the stuff they put in them is unproven. it changes peoples DNA. and Bill Gates is evil. she still thinks Trump will win in congress, but i dont think there are enough non Rinos in congress to fight enough and i fear a Biden administration though mom believes no way in hell will Biden ever become president.

i worry that tooth is causing issues, so ill be glad it will be removed finally. shouldve had it done in March along with the other tooth when it was suggested. same dentist as then.

well its good to be out of deadwood with most of the profit still.

yes im glad i finally had a trip where i didnt lose money while i was in deadwood. and i made it out with over $10k in profit still. and i still got $28700 and the most i had while still in deadwood was $31700. and not all the money was lost, some of it was spent on airfare, transportation fees, hotels, etc. and i also won some money today playing poker. over $300 between 3 places in total.

in fact i won so much money at the DMG, when i went to check into my hotel room where i had 4 free nights earned for the month of december, along with $600 in free play. so i ran into Tyler the main boss who had been on vacation and he told me that i was the last one he would give a free room too and id been beating up so bad on the VBJ, the owner of the casino didnt want me in there no more. so now that the Bullock is the only remaining decent VBJ (except on thrusdays in the silverado) but its hard to tell when it shuffles and i lost about $2500 there before leaving deadwood. i was also up to $50 a week in free play at the silverado too.

first time ive ever been thrown out for winning too much on a video BJ machine, live BJ yes, but not recently. i never do anymore because in live BJ i do so much to make my play look like martingaling instead of counting, i never win and always lose. so theyre fooled. not that it helps when i never win in live BJ.

that is a very small casino with no business and i took them for about 10k in a little over a month. quite a big loss for them. and Bill Potts claims since Tyler hated him so much and called the police on him, he mightve done it since he knew we were friends.

so i spent a day in rapid city in a hotel for a very low rate ($41 including tax at fairfield marriott). and that way i easily made it to the airport to fly to texas at a much lower price than i wouldve otherwise.

now i hate to say this, because i DO NOT HAVE THE VIRUS. but while on the plane into dallas, i started to feel chills, a big fever, and that i was going to throw up and i barely avoided doing so. i felt so ill (and i didnt at all before i got on the plane) that i had half a mind to get off in dallas instead of boarding my next flight. but the next flight was such a short distance and i had already paid over $400 for a nonrefundable hotel for a week in another city so i couldnt really remain in dallas though i didnt feel like getting on another plane. Ray said it mightve been motion sickness or something i ate.

i was feeling far less feverish on the second flight and was almost at my destination and it was dark on the plane and i think the guy beside me was sleeping. i was in the window seat, and i had a bag of dirty clothes in a carryon bag away from to the outside of my suitcase that was being valeted on the jet stream bridge to pick up as i got off the plane.

when all of sudden shortly before landing i felt a violent urge to throw up i couldnt hold back and i did inside my mask and my mouth felt awful, so i quickly wiped it in the dark as clean as possible with a dirty shirt and put on a second mask i thankfully had in my coat pocket since id grabbed two masks. and stuffed them back into my bag. i know the lady in the row ahead of me heard me because she stayed behind to get off last to tell the attendant and i dont think the guy beside me ever realized it, or maybe he thought i only gagged or coughed. i wonder if american airlines will not let me fly in the future, but i wasnt feeling sick when i first boarded the flight, only en flight. and it wasnt the virus.

the way i know its not the virus is i went to my hotel in an uber, and got checked in as quick as possible, but never had to vomit again, and fell into a deep sleep. when i woke up i felt fine and they checked my temperature today when i went to play poker and i had no fever. so it had to have been motion sickness or something i ate. no more diarrhea either today. never felt a bit sick since.

what would u do if u felt sick halfway thru the trip? i wouldnt had nowhere to stay in dallas, and id been out all the money i paid on a nonrefundable hotel reservation in houston. plus Ray had already bought his ticket to houston and is arriving monday so i sure couldnt stay in dallas. not only would i have lost over $400 i paid for a hotel in houston, id also been out a second plane fare to houston later on. no way could i have not got on that final plane. only a millionaire couldve let it go and got to a hotel immediately.

when Ray gets here i hope i can talk him into renting a car if i pay for it. ill need to set him up with a bankroll of $1000 too. he has no money. i just worry now that he no longer has good credit, even with a big cash deposit they wont let him rent a car. am i right or wrong? my money will quickly go down because i need to pay for a lot longer hotel than just the week i paid too.

a funny story i was going to post on another forum where they wouldnt know who i was

This is a hard blog to write, because it doesnt put me in a very good light. But this happened about a week ago and i just never got around to writing it up. I got banned from a casino in deadwood theres not really any reason to go in, but to check a zodiac lion machine and a scarab maybe.

i dont remember which day this was, but i think i was either stuck a few hundred that day, or had given back a large profit to where i hadnt hardly won anything that morning before i went to the Gold Dust casino. it was about 5-7am in the morning, and i went inside to see if there was a decent number of squares left lit on the zodiac lion or not. theres been times in deadwood i found so many squares lit at one of the 3 places that has it, i knew i was going to win $20-40 no matter what or more. but i didnt see nothing worth playing that morning and i lost about $10 playing it when i really shouldnt have because not enough were lit up.

and on the way out the door i decided to walk over to the scarab grand, though theres never anything left on it, except for one time, which surprised me. and as i was getting off it, i saw a guy carrying a big cardboard cutout advertising some type of casino promotion, and i asked him why he was staring at me like im some sort of mental health retard, (which i feel people do all the time and is rude) and it makes me uncomfortable. then the guy asked me if i was "looking for tickets" left on machines, and i thought that was even more rude and was basically accusing me of being a thief when im one of the most honest people there is, so much so ive returned money and other items ive found people leave behind here in deadwood, (remember the taxicab incident).

so my autism causes me to think, if this guy is being rude to me, what is the most rude thing i can say to him in return? for this is the way people are to me all the time on my blog and twitter, and i have been taught to behave this way by other people. I know its not how Jesus would want me to handle the situation, but its just human nature and this employee took it way out of proportion to not just let it go, and chalk it up to a bad day.

so i asked him if his mother was a whore, and it turns out he is the main boss at that time of the morning, and he asked a security person that was about 20 feet away in the next room to throw me out. and then he left and the only person i could talk to instead of him was the security supervisor who worked that morning. who told me he would find out the full story later and would tell him the way i seen it.

that being said, im overall in a pretty good mood, for i am still doing well here in deadwood, especially to be at $27,500 now having only arrived in deadwood with $18900. most all the winnings are from the vbj machines.

hotel prices are decreasing for the winter too. though i will no longer have my place at the deadwood dicks available since they are shutting down for remodeling by the new owners taking control on dec 1, the gold country inn which was $334 a week, i noticed it on priceline for $175 plus taxes for a little over $210 total. thats a big difference from over 4-5 weeks ago. and several other places arent too bad either, though some are actually about $100 a week more if u include the resort fees.

-----------

okay, now to get to the title of this post. does anyone know a forum called Vegas message boards, or have an account there with any sort of pull? for if so, i would love it if someone would show this blog to a moderator there. i tried to post this funny story as my first initial post as a joke and entertaining story, and was posting it under the newly created screen name of Sidney Powell. and it was never posted, and i found out i got banned for "trolling" and it really irritates me, because i was given no warning, and now i cannot even read the forums at all since im banned. at least on 2p2 they would give u a warning or u log off which still enables u to read the forums if banned.

----------

I've had good luck playing BJ elsewhere, so on a recent trip to Las vegas decided to see how i did here. and as usual since i can count down a 6 deck or 8 deck shoe without any errors in the count or in how to play the hands correctly, i was playing my usual game. I like the fact there are less players to a table now than before the coronavirus. But i noticed something weird going on.

Now i usually win about a few thousand or so a month when i play Blackjack over the course of many many hours. and my normal minimum bet is usually $5 or $10, (the table minimum) and my max bet like 3 spots of $200 each or 2 spots of $300, regardless of how high the count gets or how much im up or down, or what the table max is.

and I was slowly raising my bets during good counts, but the good counts were so few are far between it seemed like every shoe the first hand off the top of the shoe the running count immediately went highly negative and stayed that way throughout much of the entire shoe, and this was happening so many shoes in a row that i never got any decent counts to raise the bets. I dont want to name any casinos, but lets just say i was in a casino far enough removed from its neighbors i couldnt have easily switched games because i wasnt in a main tourist location because i liked this hotel better.

I think this casino must be cheating, because i ended up losing all my money and also about another 40% of my net worth. and that was money i withdrew while here that i didnt bring in cash because i didnt want to carry over $10,000 on a plane. Here is how i think the casino is cheating. I think it must be adding a ton of extra face cards to the deck, just to make sure every shoe starts off with a massive negative count to keep you from ever having a chance to raise your bet from the minimum. out of about 50 shoes, i only found 4 with positive counts, and the other 46 all had a big negative count, which should be mathamatically impossible in a count just as likely to be plus 1 as minus 1 in theory.

on those 4 shoes i lost a massive amount, because i was so eager to finally bet big, i bet a little too high according to Kelly's criterion. And i wanted to win too and was in the hole a bunch. and on all the other shoes i was losing so much a tiny bit at a time. i ever felt like the correct way to play would be to bet big off the top of the shoe, for one reason its great cover so the pit boss doesnt know u are counting, and also, it would be the ONLY time the whole shoe i wouldnt be in the middle of a massive negative count.

its a shame the casino would be so dishonest as to do this to purposively keep the count highly negative to discourage counters, but how else can u explain so many massive negative shoes in a row? the odds of a 52 card random deck without some extra 10s in it would be astronomical?

A bitter disappointment

dont let the title worry u, i did NOT take a big drop on VBJ like u might have thought from reading the title and be down below 20k again, although i am certainly overdue for it to happen soon. cant believe i am close to 23k from the 18900 i came with once down to around 15k

I know better than to play at Cadillac instead of saloon 10, but on wednesdays theres never a game, even though they have a dealer sit there waiting. so i had to go to cadillac if i wanted a chance to play live poker. so far my win rate there before tonight was 2 times out of 11 visits.

i am very concerned that its not only choctaw and deadwood where i cant win, it will be anywhere in the country, including florida, because all the players i could beat are no longer playing due to the virus and its only those grinding out a living. whenever i get to visiting florida i hope to find out im wrong. airbnb is cheaper this year than last year. and i know the only reason it would be is because of the virus, less people are going outside their homes. but i actually am surprised there isnt a lot MORE people going to florida to be away from democratic governors and their restrictions. lots of people would be wanting to move i would think to where they would have a more normal life. especially since Republicans will be wanting to flee in droves if Biden wins the presidency.

Biden sure wasnt lying when he said they built the largest voter fraud organization in history. But he did lie about a lot of other things.

i bought in for $100 in the $3-100 spread limit game and i had been winning pots and feeling really good since i have had so much bad luck here during the month or so ive been in town. id tipped the dealer $3 twice instead of $1 or $0 and i was all the way up to $359. and i was considering moving to the smaller table or leaving altogether, but there was no seat open there but i wanted to lock up the profit to be safe and to have a win locked up emotionally.

thats the biggest win ive had in here by far on this trip.

but then i raise to $25 preflop with 99 and get one caller who either limped UTG or was in the BB. its also possible he straddled UTG. i dont pay enough attention.

flop comes 983 with 2 spades and he bets $45. im praying to God he flopped a set or an overpair instead of having a flush draw to seriously cut down on the number of outs. its an asian guy who i think ive seen before who doesnt exactly live here since hes staying in the hotel. i bet $145 and he bets $245, and im thinking oh shit, he is not going to fold. i know maybe im supposed to not want him to fold, but theres so much in the pot im better off locking up the profit. so i get the entire $359 in on the flop. ask if he will run it twice so i can be protected against the flush draw and he declines. and sure enough im fucked he has AK of spades for a draw instead of a set or overpair like i hoped. the turn made his flush and the board would not pair and i am suddenly extremely pissed off. for not quitting, not trying to move tables and because he declined running it twice. he must of known i had top set or he wouldnt have declined.

having a terrible time surviving in deadwood without losing big on VBJ, but where else can i go during the election?

the poker sucks here and i cant win at cadillac jacks, and the virus have basically killed live poker all over the country. even in Houston i shouldve won much easier than i was, and im wondering if Florida is still a decent place to win in. i never realized i was so awful when i play shorthanded. or how lousy i play if im ahead and scared of losing it back. even in VBJ, i bet way too little on good counts when ahead and way too much on neutral or too small of negative counts when behind. kind of like shoving too loosely when behind at poker.

i was stuck over $900 at one point on vbj today and couldve lost a lot more since i was carrying $3100 eventually i quit up a bit less than $100.

i did find one good online site where i can win at and has the type of games id like to play. id rather not mention just yet which site it is. but my $10 deposit is up to $37 now and i am the type of person who never wins online since i wont use a HUD or play more than 1 table. (very rarely 2). its a poker site.

i am in the exact same room in deadwood i was in a few years ago at the deadwood dicks thats like an apt for a very low price. huge fridge, microwave and dishes provided in the kitchen. sad thing is i had to move out over halloween because it was booked and pay more over the 2 day weekend than i paid for the whole week. and ill have to do the same thing this weekend, then its available til dec 4, when the entire place is sold and shut down for remodeling so the new owners can raise the price for rooms tenfold when they finished remodeling in a few months.

at least this fridge stores milk without ruining the milk. first time ive seen that in a long time. usually its either way too frozen or spoils.

I still need to get out of here, before i lose any more money. ive got $16,500 left of the $18,900 i came here with. i guess thats not too bad when over $1500 has been spent on housing, and over $500 paying Vince. considering i lost $900 on poker at cadillac jacks, actually very little was lost on VBJ and had i never played in the Bullock, id be way ahead on vbj from playing at the DMG. i did win a few hundred off the info ive gotten before from Mickey Crimm.

also lost a bunch of money playing machines when theyre not lit up good enough but i suspected they mightve been. probably wishful thinking on my part.

if anyone wants to hear a good man of God, check out the teachings of JD Farag on youtube. now there is a man who is going to heaven when the rapture takes place when Joel Osteen will be wondering why he was left behind. Jan Markell from Minneapolis is good too and so is pastor Jack Hibbs out in california.

the Bible says we will be known as Christians because of our love for one another, and i need a lot of work on this, for im so bitter in life (never having a woman to hug me kiss me and say she loves me) its very difficult for me to love anyone as evil and retarted as 95% of the people are. i worry all the time i wont go up in the rapture and sometimes im wondering if the president will and if he really is saved. although he cares a lot about Christians and their civil rights. ive never met a president who cares so much for the little people and has so much compassion for people with disabilities or for people who arent white. examples of his good deeds for those who need help can easily be found online. he doesnt talk about his salvation the way Mike Pence does.

i worry there will be widespread violence and civil war after trump wins and i am not happy i missed the chance to double my money with big bets on his reelection but i do not trust anyone to pay me after i won the bet and it might take a few weeks before its settled. id love to return to houston or fort lauderdale but it might not be safe in the big cities for a while until we determine exactly whats going to happen. and until we find out who wins the senate and the house. whether Pelosi will remain the speaker.

i wonder if ill be awake the right hours today for the stud hilow game at saloon ten and if we can get a fourth player to start the game?

i wish i could be with Ray when he visits south bend for poker on friday. i hear its a good cheap game, $50-200 for $1-2NL and $100-300 for $1-2-5 PLO. he delayed it to friday from tuesday because he is going to have more money this way since hes doing jobs for his family.

since leaving Choctaw

Well Vince flew allegiant out of rapid city tonight back into Las Vegas and returned the car he rented in Dallas to their office in Rapid city, and i paid half of the $840 rental cost, and a bunch of the gas, and motel costs. thats one reason the $18,900 i had when i left Choctaw is now at only $17,800. but i was over $20,300 from a lot of early winning sessions on the VBJ before i gave a lot back the last 2 days. Im still up for the machine in the Mountain Grand for about $1300. i used to always lose there and only win or lose in the one at the Bullock, but its seeming im doing much better on the DMG this time.

the machine in the DMG is the dealers angels, which shows when it shuffles unlike the one in the Bullock, but it only gives 38% penetration instead of 66%.

according to all of Bill Potts notes from Choctaw, that VBJ machine has about a 90-1 chance of being honest about when its shuffling. (tons of records of cards and hands). they did change the rules once since we started playing it heavily, its now European style BJ, where the dealer takes his card last, which is a bad rule for the player. but its still over 100% if u count it accurately and bet really high of $149 or $199 at the right times. u could bet more but u might get a w2g more likely than not if u bet over $200. the max is $500. u could play 2 machines next to each other if theres few asians on it playing baccarrat.

also since the virus, cadillac jacks no longer keeps their poker room open til the last table breaks. its shut down now sometime after 2am every morning, even if the table is full (8 handed, no masks).

i wonder how long masks have been available for purchases at stores like Walmart and Family Dollar? i see them now all the time 2 for $1. they never sold them back when people needed a way to buy them back in April and May when the only way to get a mask was from the poker clubs in Houston, and for a while they were closed too except for underground.

Maybe i should have flown back to vegas to get this one tooth fixed thats way overdue to come out, but i wanted to stay here a little while longer first, and there is also a good dentist in Houston, though he charges more. i am afraid of vegas because of all the violence on the strip coming from all the BLM and antifa and CA gang members who hate cops there right now. and it will only get worse after the election when Biden refuses to concede.

Joe Biden and Kamala harris have been bailing people out of jail nonstop for killing white people, cops or trump supporters and raising money for them and calling them heroes for the violence or rapes they have comitted. ever heard of the Minnesota Freedom Fund? Many democratic cities are now letting people out without bail if they commit one of those types of crimes such as a murder of a police officer, arson, etc. this is why people should never vote for a democrat, although many still do.

i would never feel comfortable in any area of the country thats not hardcore republican such as florida or south dakota or Oklahoma, until the virus is over and the violence sponsored by the democrats and the big tech companies who long for civil war to start up. so that leaves out visiting vegas, the new poker rooms reopening this week in NJ and PA, and other cities like maryland or minnesota. really limits the places in which u can go and play poker.

it was good to see my mother for a day and im surprised she didnt try to convince both me and Vince to stay overnight in the basement. she sure looks much much older due to her eye and athritis problems, never seen her with such poor eyesight telling me to send anything to her in all capital letters or limping around before. mostly she talked about how hard it is on Mark being at Rosewood, and i wonder if lightning kept up with how they did her wrong on her facebook. he is a prisoner of the state now that she lost all custody of him. they do that to many disabled people in KS she has heard about from others and they do it for control of the state money.

playing on seals with clubs because im not walking 2 miles to cadillac jacks from my motel and im broke on bet online and i cant remember if i have money on acr or not. i should go look now. (just found 85 cents) besides i lost 4 out of 5 poker sessions at cadillac jacks. and their big game no longer runs on wednesdays since the virus. and what im playing is hilow stud. i need to go back to sleep for about 3 more hours too.

Last night i did the right thing in the eyes of Almighty God by returning to a casino once i noticed i got overpaid by $100 and the lady was so nice in finding me a spare pair of reading glasses when mine broke again i didnt want her to be in trouble and get charged when they found her drawer short $100. so i went back and told her but she had to wait til someone new came in for shift change to count down the bank. and while i hung around 2-3 hours instead of just coming back later, i lost over $1500 for doing the right thing. i also didnt want to look bad and be a poor witness for Jesus Christ by keeping money that wasnt mine when i was seen listening to JD Farag's sermons while playing on utube.

i cant ever keep a roll over 20k

well it doesnt always pay to try to do the right thing and not make yourself look bad to the casino. they have a promotion here which pays $25 per hour for playing, (or being on the waitlist) between 5am and 10am 5 days a week. so i walked in the poker room right before 7am, and got 3 hours in and finally got called for a $1-3 seat at 10am when people were getting up when the promotion ends. (and i had earned $75 in chips for waiting).

now we all know the staff doesnt like it when people leave at 10am without even playing, especially when theyve been getting paid the whole time. and though Bill Potts is willing to do it and tells me i shouldnt feel guilty for it, i dont want to look bad to the staff.

so i sat and within an hours time, i lost my $100 buyin twice and then lost another $15 of the third $100 buyin and wasnt even given a thank u from the supervisor for staying and playing. now do u see why i feel i shouldve just left at 10am like everyone else does? regardless of the fact i didnt get seated til then. i also couldve only played 15-20 minutes and left when out the first $100, but i wanted to get that back before i did.

and the only hand id have won was a hand i folded. had A2 suited and called a raise to $15 even though it cost me 1 sixth of my stack because of the massive pot odds and being on the button. so many seen the flop i did too. flop comes AJ8 all in diamonds. guy last to act bets $40 and gets called, i folded. 2 of spades on the turn. both check. 8 of spades on the river they both check. JK wins the pot. wtf? how can he bet and the other guy call the flop without a flush or ace that many people in preflop?

first hand i lost there was to a black guy also waiting who swore he didnt have a players card, so he missed out on free money, because he waited about 90 minutes for the seat. and any time someone says they dont have a players card, i feel they must either be a troll out to target me and dont want known, or be a former banned player and no one have any idea of the ban.

so we all check a flop with 87Q and 2 spades. and on the turn a 2 of spades comes up to give me a set of deuces and i bet $5 and he makes it $25. i call. river comes 4 of hearts i check and he bets enough to put me allin. he turned the nut flush. how can he be last to act, with the ace high flush draw, and NOT BET THE FLOP?

Vince is supposed to come originally on tuesday, but now hes saying wed or thurs and he is flying in from NJ where his mom recently died and was there for her funeral. he was going to rent a car in dallas, and then drive to choctaw, where he would drive me and him to deadwood to look at some property hes thinking of buying, with a stop at my moms house on the way to meet her for the first time.

id been winning for more often than not here on the vbj in choctaw since they paid back more, but i finally had another bad session yesterday, knowing the roll which id built up to $21200 back to only $18700. so i might finally be no longer ahead on vbj here. and i just found out today all the vbj terminals are down today so now i got nothing to do unless i return to poker and theyres usually always a wait on seats. what i wanted to do when i had all that money was fix a tooth in vegas, or go live in houston, florida or reno again while i was still over 20k. now i dont feel like i have enough.

a week or two i was also dropped down to 18,500 after a losing day on vbj, but id built that back to over $21200

on the day bill potts and i went to lawton to check out their poker room, (8 handed with plexiglass) and closes the whole casino at 2am or 4am i got lucky both in their poker game which was quite looser than choctaw, and also on a golden egypt i found lit up on the $6 level. i won over $400 on it.

sometimes the weirdest and unexpected things are what brings in the most money

overall, i hadnt been doing too well the 3 weeks ive been staying at Choctaw, and the nicest thing about being here was no transportation is needed to get back and forth to the casino, since im living on property for about $425 a week. (thru the poker rate, although now my cost per week has been lowered, since im finally receiving 2 free nites a week thru my non poker play, and Bill Potts is paying half the costs of the room). but for the most part, the games suck in the poker room. too many pros, too nitty, and im just not a good 6 max player. weird since this casino isnt subject to any state gaming laws or regulations, being a soveriegn nation unlike all the other non indian casinos in OK, which would be under the gaming commissions regulations. so why they do 6 max ive no idea. its not like the virus is actually around making people sick, or we wouldve heard about it by now. there would be local news stories all over dallas about people getting sick from visiting Choctaw if so.

and i find it difficult to even make money during the hours of 5-10 am monday thru friday, when they give u $25 an hour for playing, (or being in the poker room on the list waiting for a seat).

this blog has long been needing updated, so im doing it this morning while im washing my laundry (thank God theres a guest laundry in the hotel) and ive finally got some news to talk about. other than the fact my tooth is getting in worse shape. the one i didnt have pulled when i only had one done that day in march and the dentist said i should either then or in the next 3 months. Houston charges too much at their dentist office. only vegas was reasonably priced.

ive put in a lot of points on my card in the 3 weeks ive been here. about 120,000 points. and about half of them is from poker, and the other half from playing the VBJ machine, which is why bill potts is here. its been figured by Bill Potts that it will give u $99.86 without counting, plus the 20cents back on your players card in freeplay, which brings it over 100 percent. and added to that is whatever u gain by making the big bets and the small bets at the correct times. ive never seen a vbj with such good rules and though im not down on it overall ive still had some bad sessions. there are no APs on it because they are not willing to trust anything in an Indian casino to be honest.

so that means ive got a lot of tier points, and the drawings in this place (where a random player currently on a machine anywhere in the casino with their players card inserted and actively playing) on various days and times, i finally got called yesterday. people with more tier points have more entries and a better shot.

so first i was put into a slot tourney where only 10 enter, and 9 of those 10 receive $125 in free play, and one person gets the entry into the tourney at 6pm where u are guaranteed $1000 or higher.

i got very lucky to win the shootout, so i was guaranteed at least $1000, and i was to return in an hour for the finals. and then in the finals, i took second for $5000. first wouldve been $10,000, third wouldve been $2000. and last place in the finals is still $1000. it had only 10 people in it also.

thats not where u would expect almost one third of my entire net worth in life to come from would u now? but that puts me back to 17k slightly above it.

sad thing is it means ive got a 3rd w2 in the last 2 months. i asked if i could get it in free play instead but they dont do it.

i really shouldnt stay here as lousy as the poker games are for action, but my room costs are really low now. but i need to get my teeth fixed. and i want to be where i can find looser action. im worried i might drop a lot on the VBJ and Bill Potts will drive me to the closest bank of america atm in texas today, which is about 20 miles away but google maps is often wrong on this. it claims bank of america atms exist in shreveport and once u investigate u find out they havent been in operation in years there. same way with toledo ohio, Ray and i discovered that too. had to go up to michigan to deposit.

all i know is when i have too much cash on me like i did when staying and playing at the eldorado shreveport after the hurricane, thats when i have all the big size blackjack losses.

some of the players and some of the dealers are assholes here too. they will either refuse to chop, make a big issue about adding $20 to my stack and claim its a short buy, when the floor said it isnt as long as it brings my stack to over $100 or is already over $100. if i only had $50 and it brought it to $70 then it would be disallowed. a short buy is only when u are broke and u only receive 1 for the whole day and then it must be at least $50.

one dealer who said he was going to quit his job and go back to construction really made a big deal, and believed an asian guy who lied the other day who told him id originally sat with $50 when i sat with $100 and my stack had slowly dwindled to $50. and he is the same guy who never ever tells me thank u although ive seen him tell others when they toss him $1. most of the pots are so low with $1 auto taken out for the jackpot u cant tip, and so i tip more on the really good pots.

never once seen Jason C here who moved from vegas to texas, or cdizzy11.

whats good and whats not good about Choctaw casino durant.

 Good

1. when u go to the cage at choctaw poker upstairs, u can also get rid of slot tickets. most places require those only to be cashed at the main cage, so that helps when buying or cashing in chips, doing it all together and especially if a ticket is all someone has left who wants a rebuy.

2. the button straddle is not allowed in games smaller than $2-5. only the UTG straddle

3. hotel rooms are available (and include a refridgerator and microwave) for $49 weekdays, $99 weekends and holidays. without getting in 5 hours of poker, rooms are $139 weekdays and $319 on weekends. so its critical to not quit without being sure u have 5 hours properly credited.

4. the promotion of $25 per hour 5 hours a day, 5 days a week is worth $125 times 5 for $625 a week if u time your sleep schedule correctly. u can even get paid while waiting for your seat if theres none open for quite a while. which surprised me.

5, there is a VBJ machine (which offers other games too) made by a manufacturer called NOVO flying blackjack id never heard of them before, they mostly sell overseas and were around in 2009. its a much better vbj than the ones in shreveport. they pay 3-2 $2 minimum $500 max, and stand on all 17s. u can split more than once, and it shows u when it shuffles at the halfway point of an 8 deck shoe. i would bet u herbie knows about it but never wanted to tell me. u get points too on both that machine and the craps machine but very little, only 10c back on every $100 coin in.

6. people in the poker room get free bottled water and coffee. the casino is way more willing to give it out when u lose to other players and not the house.

7. the gift shop sells burritos and chicken burgers for the microwave and they have a gas station in walking distance too. also they sell soup for the microwave in the gift shop. and on weekends its 24 hours.

Bad

1. no phone chargers underneath the seats.

2. the shuttle to durant hotels is no longer running, and i was lied to by their social media person (DM) on facebook. the host office told me that they discontinued it when i was asking about going to walmart and back.

3. there is never ever an uber or lyft driver nearby, no matter what u find on google search or facebook. closest drivers to get me out of here are in like denison, sherman or gainesville TX, quite a ways off. and the walmart in durant is almost 6 miles on google maps. too far to walk regardless of the fact google maps claim its less than a 2 hour walk.

4. the games are nitty and tight as hell especially during the promotion in the early morning. none of the dealers are making anything, and a lot of them are former winstar dealers. and if the flop is seen even on a $5 pot, $1 comes out. some dealers take it if u steal the blinds and claim they are supposed to in games under $2 5 NL. although most just let it go and push u the extra $1.

5. the vbj on the other side of the casino in the nonsmoking section is $1 min and shuffles every hand. no way to beat that one. and usually its a lot easier to get a seat there too, but id rather play the better one in the smoking section. the one in nonsmoking hits soft 17 too

6. people losing big money to the house downstairs cannot get bottled water without paying $3. only tap water.

7. the buyin structures arent that good. the $100 minimum is way too high in the $1-2 (when almost all rooms elsewhere such as florida, reno, and detroit and atlantic city had much smaller buyins). and the $400 cap is too low in the $1-3 NL. the reason the casino does this is so there will be no difference between the $1-2 and $1-3 NL games and not having a difference causes way less table changes between $1-2 and $1-3 saving the staff a lot of hassle.

no longer in shreveport

at least i finally have a hotel with very good wifi and since i wasted $129 on this hotel for nothing when i still had a room in shreveport for the night, it better have good wifi. i got tired of the wifi never working at my old hotel at the eldorado in shreveport unless i went thru my phone service. for some reason their wifi only worked the first day, and then never would again. i think the problem is with my laptop since so much is on it slowing it down since i refuse to pay for the free AVG installed on my laptop which wont work unless u pay for it and it also is unable to be uninstalled unless u pay for it.

id been winning so regularly on blackjack lately, i thought i was becoming immune to taking big losses. of course the machine at coushatta is a whole lot better machine with a much better cashback rate and rate of return, since it dont shuffle every hand. but id even won on the bad type at marguaritaville Bossier city and on live blackjack lately too, so i was over confident. plus the main problem was the old one of carrying way too much cash i had no way to deposit in the atm.

well i dont have that problem anymore. the $5788 in cash i had on me earlier today is $1452. and the only way i could stop myself from losing that too at the eldorado shreveport was to leave immediately. regardless of the fact i couldve booked a cheap allegiant into vegas tomorrow at 1148 am for $133. regardless of the fact id have to find a driver willing to go long distances, and pay a lot of money. and he didnt take me nearly as far into texas as i was hoping he would. but im out of shreveport at least. but this is such a small town theres no uber or lyft here or at least not tonight. supposedly in longview not too far down the road they have it but not here. just an amtrak station, and i also found out theres no cabs.

so im going to need a cab from longview to drive me to an amtrak about 7am in the morning and i called to set it up. that will be about another $65, and then a train into dallas is $25 more. i shouldve stayed in shreveport and took that plane into vegas, but i was worried id lose more at the tables and wouldnt have the self control to not gamble.

i wish my friend Courtney from dallas wouldve came to pick me up like we had discussed but then she quit answering. the one on my facebook page u guys seen commenting if i needed anything. i dont think she understood the urgency in getting me out of shreveport before i lost all the money. and that only happens when i have too much cash on me. u notice i didnt lose the money in the bank or use a debit card to withdraw. but i was worried of what i might do if i was still on that boat all night.

shouldve found out what kind of comps i couldve got for a $2600 live BJ loss and about another $1700 loss on the video machine. but i didnt because i had no interests in more free nights to keep me in shreveport any longer.

damn that hurricane, or i couldve still been around coushatta. and damn the uber driver in lake charles who thought id be better off going to shreveport instead of houston to get away from the hurricane. and damn the fact coushatta wouldnt reopen because they had no way to reinstall their phone services.

i sure wasted a lot of money including the money wasted to get out of shreveport and pay for a 2nd hotel but this sure is a lot nicer room. and hopefully it saved me about $1000 since now i wont be doing any more gambling until im in dallas or durant.

i cant believe im down to about $13700 of a $18,400 roll. but before todays big loss, it kept growing and growing. remember how quickly it grew from $10,300? id had so many wins in a row from either poker or blackjack it was unbelievable.

and theres a laundry facility here and i need to use it but i kind of just want to relax in the room.

Louisiana trip report

For the first time in a long while, i finally feel like im getting somewhere. i now have more than i left houston with ($15,800 instead of $15,300) and ive also got a new ID, an address in lake charles good til sept 4, about $180 in comp dollars at Coushatta, and about halfway to $375,000 total coin-in required for the highest level players card at coushatta. so i must no longer be behind overall on the VBJ here in coushatta.

Im also better off than i left Florida with. i had about $11,900 when i left florida, after losing over $3000-4000 on their vbj machines 3 times or more. the vbj machines in florida were much worse because the cashback and comp rate was much lower and they reshuffled every hand with a $5 min. some places it was $10.

of the 14 days off and on ive been at coushatta in either the hotel or the RV park cabins ive only had to pay 3 of those days and each time i had enough in comp dollars to not pay any cash.

so its pretty easy to live here without charge if u play heavily enough on the machines.

only sad thing is the action in the poker game is so horrible, i dont think ive even come out ahead on the poker. only place ive come out ahead on the poker is Nugget lake charles where my friend Kim on facebook manages the room. she is from eldorado shreveport. there the game is only 5 handed compared to the 7 handed game in coushatta. but people buyin deep and play wild in the nugget and it seems that even though i hate playing 5 handed and very nervous having more than $100 in front of me when only playing with 5 people, my wins in the nugget were much bigger. several times i turned $100 into $300-400 and quit for an hour, then sometimes returned and sat with $100 again.

the morning game at coushatta every pot is either chopped, sometimes 4-5 hands in a row, or is below $20 and ended on the flop or turn. the only good news is at least u arent out your blinds because of the chops. same regulars all the time, all of whom are elderly. Garrett and Charles seem to be the best dealers. and the Britni who works the floor some nights.

i need to find a way to get money into my bank, i dont think they will, but i need to see if theres a way to get a check i can deposit by phone, or wire the bank. i couldnt anywhere in Lake charles because im not a customer of any of the lake charles banks. i tried. if there was one trusted friend here id give them cash to ship me on cash app or paypal to send to my bank account.

and a big hurricane is coming this week with a ton of rain, so i dont want to have to switch rooms back to the rv park because its like a 5 block walk. i hated that walk in the dark. i hope the rooms dont sell out too much because the host wont let me do it in advance only day to day

still trying to decide where to fly or take an amtrak too when my month is up. doesnt seem like any more new poker rooms are reopening that havent already opened by now.

going to Louisiana to get ID was a devastating financial decision. i couldve filed for the new REAL ID for less that what im spending and losing.

i've been hanging out at the Indian casino because theyve been comping my rooms (except weekends) and because im too fearful of being at home at night because ive been told by every Uber driver thats one of the most dangerous suburbs of lake charles. and theres very few white people in that area. and ive been told by everyone he way overcharged me with that $1500 monthly lease August 4 to Sept 4, but who else can u rent from without ID, credit, or proof of income? this is happening to millions of poor people who cant get housing any other way, its not just me. Landlords take advantage of people and charge them higher prices than its worth when they have trouble getting a conventional lease. the privlidged few, (those with good jobs and credit like lightning) they can pick any apt of their choosing including luxury ones in good areas and still get them cheaper.

and besides even if i was at home, its still at least $40 or more to get to the casino plus another $40 or so back. so its kind of worth it to be right here. if i was NOT getting the room free, the motel 2 blocks walking distance i could get for a little under $400 a week on priceline even though the hotel told me it only rents daily. (i guess to avoid people establishing residency). which isnt much different than the $1500 i paid for the lease.

also the lease had no deposit, but it did say i would have to pay for any damages and must be the only one living there. i wonder how that will be enforced without a deposit? only thing i could damage would be the bedsheet or pillow though.

and now ive got almost $200 in casino comp dollars which i guess could be used for like gas or cigarettes for other people and if i wasnt getting it free, they can also be applied towards hotel rooms u purchase. this VBJ has a very good comp rate compared to the one in deadwood.

so if i was to return to Houston, i need to find out who wants cigarettes and how much they would pay for a carton and what brand.

and it was so dead in there this morning i had no issue being alone the whole time i was playing for a few hours but it didnt seem to help. i lost over $4400 and cannot get no more money out of the ATM til tomorrow, and have only $1200 left of $5700. (what i woke up with and what i withdrew). the only good news i have to report is my roll is a little bit more than what i last told u guys it was.

back in Houston, i started worrying for my safety in the clubs and underground games if people knew what i had, so i reduced the roll by $7000. i figured that would make it easier for them to understand how stressed i am about money and how much i value $3. i told Ray and only Ray this. i told others, such as Vince, Dustin, and Lightning that id reduced the roll by $4000.

which the other day when i posted on twitter id dropped all the way down to $10,800, it was actually $13,800. and had i not added the $4000 back, the twitter roll wouldve said $6800. most of the time last month i was giving figures like $7000 $8000 and $9000 it was actually $14k-16k

but today, with this huge drop its not even $13,800. yesterdays $1700 win had me back to around $15,500 (including all the hidden money). and with the big loss, im almost at $11,000 but not quite since i have Uber and Lyft fees and deposits out of my roll. this is the lowest ive been in a long time, except for the brief moment right before receiving my $1200 stimulus check, when i was at $9709 in real money and only $2709 had the $7000 been subtracted. (which is what eddie in houston thought i had left). the lowest i had in real money in florida, when i was being honest with my figures, was $11,900 about the time i left.

so i not only gave back on VBJ this morning all that i had won yesterday, but over $2500 more besides. martingaling is a nasty business. when i had one really large bet up i thought i was going to win a lot of doubles and splits with a few 20s and have 1 of the spots with more bets out lock up for another w2. dealer had 8 showing and then turned over another 8 and then a 4 for 20. so the hand i shouldve won several bets on pushed on most and all the other hands lost quite a bit. almost every hand was 18, 19, 20 and many of them were double downs. and i shouldve won over $2000 on the hand instead of losing $1200 or more that hand.

and im sick of hearing every employee always saying good morning when they walk by. do u have to hear it 50 times from 50 employees? u dont want to be reminded of how happy and joyful they all are when u are miserable and just want to be alone away from everyone. and theyre not even saying it because they really mean it, they feel its their job to say it. they should use judgement and common sense to realize people are miserable losing alot of money they cant afford for the most part and just want to silently slip off to their room. almost everyone cant afford to lose that kind of money. its a lie that people can. they cant, but its often well hidden. they lie to themselves even thinking that they can.

the microwave is down the hall, only a fridge is in the room. ive still got a few of my meals, but i ate some and a box of crackers. and my house in lake charles sure has a lot of food i bought still in it not here with me. i should just leave for NV or my mothers immediately or somewhere in TX or OK, but i dont really know where to go. i used to go to reno but its not cheap to live there anymore. i remember when i lived for $150 a week within a short walk of the peppermill. Grump is right when he said i shouldnt feel committed to staying for the whole month and he needs to explain that to Koala who disagrees. i feel the longer im here the more ill lose. i cannot believe the ID cost me so much. the true roll when i left houston (with the $7000 added) meant i left houston with $15,300 and now im at $10,900. so u can see how much ive lost in paying the lease, a few Uber fares, food, and the rest on video BJ. approximately $2500 on video BJ. since i had some poker wins, probably closer to $3500 lost on VBJ in the short 2 weeks or less ive been in louisiana.

only way to survive is to go somewhere i feel safe and live at almost no cost and play poker. its a horrible shame i cant win online, but the lowest microstakes $3 sit n gos are far smarter and more skilled than the live $5-10 NL professionals are. so the only way to win is to not play online but to play live. u just cannot win by playing on acr.

finally have a new ID

well it cost me a bunch of money to do it, and to get an apartment in an area where im not really comfortable living in that i paid a months rent for up til sept 4, but at least i now have a louisiana ID that wont expire until August of 2024. its NOT the REAL ID with the gold star that will be needed to fly next year, but at least its a legal ID for all other purposes, such as showing it to the casino or renting a hotel room.

a lease agreement/rental contract was one of the documents listed to prove an address in Louisiana, so that was the route i took. and everyone in this area said i got really overcharged to pay $1500 for a place in such a bad neighborhood. but remember he is renting to someone without credit or proof of income or even without ID, but im sure the entire neighborhood is filled with people whove been in prison a lot. its worth about $800 a month or less and its a house, not an apartment.

went to a casino before i got the new ID and bet too much on the VBJ without thinking, and it locked up for a jackpot. so for a $600 bet (5 $100 bets and a $100 double down) i got paid $912 of the $1200 win (which was actually only a $600 win and the tax laws are seriously out of date and unfairly applied). they were supposed to be for big winners. and the other 24% was withheld for taxes. and of course my income isnt nearly high enough to owe 24%

the law was never corrected so no one ever bets high on vbj. imagine being at a table game, betting $600, winning $600 to make the dealer pay u $1200 and it being considered a $1200 win and u owe taxes on the whole $1200 including the $600 u bet.

if these laws were fixed casinos could go to electronic gambling and people could do it all electronically betting even $1000 a hand without this issue every single hand.

still would like to discuss certain issues with playing in Houston but now isnt the time yet, but i feel ive postponed updating the blog long enough.

i will however say it bugged me to no end how no one at 52 social would ever listen to my concerns about them constantly having the cleaning woman going into the mens bathroom. who of course doesnt speak english. at least other casinos where i was annoyed by this, they leave if someone goes in there. but this particular establishment just doesnt give a damn no matter how often i complained. shows how far this country has fallen that every other man in there doesnt complain just like me.

and another issue, its awful hard to get drivers for Uber or Lyft in this area. i will be glad when my month is up. still holding close to $8400 after paying for the month and all expenses, but luckily i won about $1000 in the past week or so it helped pay for some of my housing costs and my trip to lousiana.

an $800 win on online blackjack

some of u think the online BJ games are rigged on ACR, and ive lost most times when i play, but not this much. for some reason i started playing there a day ago with my $119 i had left online, and for some reason i couldnt lose. and eventually i sold $850 on acr to a friend of wec. its currently enroute to my bank account from Venmo.

ive also won a few live sessions lately, bringing my roll back to $9200 from when it had dropped as low as $7400 a week or so ago. i can no longer afford to risk money in hilow far out on the other side of town, and if i stick to NL i might come back, but i really need to get some money together to afford a side trip to louisiana to renew an ID.

some things i wanted to discuss on here ive put off til a later time, since this blog is so overdue and im exhausted tonight because when i came home i got online and did my laundry. so ive got 2 clean masks again. and a couple weeks supply of shirts and pants.

i worry i cant travel anywhere with an expired ID. not only to anywhere with a casino where i could be asked to leave because of it, but i worry about checking into a hotel, although some people claim some of the hotels thats too expensive for me allow people to check in on their phone without any human contact who could ask for ID. and the phone supplies the door key. but ive always used airbnb for a way to check into most places without ID.

the TSA lets u fly with an expired ID, but casinos still wont let u in their hotel because gaming regulations dont allow for expired IDs. a non gaming hotel might not care. i havent tried visiting a casino since the start of the virus because im afraid to leave TX with all the uncertainity. though im getting quite tired of being here and i think i could win easier elsewhere with less people at the table than here in texas and who wouldnt know anything about how i play. my pattern is getting too familiar here.

does anyone know of 2 young asian women in the las vegas area who went to houston a few days ago for the sole purpose of playing poker in Houston? (at least its what they told another asian guy whod joined the game). ive seen them 4 nights in a row now and theyre very tight, always winning, and they dont play anything but holdem, even in games that include a hand of omaha. one of them is Japanese and plays with $100 while the other wins heavily and often buys the max. and the one girl films the huge pots shes in on her phone and tries to avoid anyone noticing. one girl always wears a wynn hat, the other girl has a blank hat. Does this fit the description of anyone readers from the las vegas area know? they will return home within a few days they said back out of Houston.

the coffee pot got broken at Kings and no one can make coffee, but hopefully tomorrow this one nice asian girl named Trina who deals is going to replace it (she told me she was going to) and that way it will be fixed sooner than the owner who was going to on Monday. ill be glad to have coffee again. i cant imagine what its like in reno and detroit without self serve coffee anymore. maybe some rooms still do i dont know. been told it no longer exists in casinos due to the virus.

im also still thinking of florida or reno or a couple other spots but i worry the casinos will have to close down again. especially as flu season starts up after october. of course the numbers are way overblown. many tested as positive multiple times and should count as one case and many got a positive who didnt have the virus. or who werent even tested, according to news reports.

all good things must come to an end

id been doing well last week, had my last $7000 or less back up to over $11,500 but that all came to a halt a few days ago. i was stuck early on at Kings $434, and i left to get the money back over at 52 social. i managed to get about half of it back, and eventually ended up back at Kings. and then i got back a little more and shouldve went home only down about $150 for the day. (a loss small enough to recover the following day and not effect anything).

but then i heard that poker warehouse was holding a 10-100 high low split game, which i never get to play. but i dont have enough to afford $5-10 blinds. and i know the worst thing i can do is play when tired too many hours in a day, but its my only opportunity to play that structure so i went over there. and i made a final big mistake by not depositing half of my cash in the bank as planned before i went there.

ended up losing my initial $300 (and at one point was up $121). rebought $240 and lost that, then added on $200 more and lost it. Leo sat on my left (had position on me) and he makes the game loose with a lot of raises and i wish i couldve been on the other side of him because i felt obligated to call the raises. eventually i rebought $1000 plus paid for a massage i thought was $1 a minute (most places in houston are) but it was $2 a minute.

i soon left in an Uber dead tired with only $150 to play with when i woke up the next morning unless i wanted to withdraw money out of the bank, which of course was the last thing i wanted to do. and i turned that final $150 into $500 yesterday, but then lost it all back again tonight and im tired. and i need to buy more produce and wash laundry too tomorrow. i also played tonights freeroll tourney at empire and wouldve been in great shape to make the money except for a hand close to the end when i became severly crippled and soon busted. i had 88 and shoved and both callers had AK and somehow a king still hit the flop. couldve tripled the money instead of dropping from 89k to 20k.

and the coronavirus cases and hospitalizations are going up like a rocket in TX and florida and im wondering if its due to poker rooms reopening so much. the governor shut down all bars in TX yesterday and all the cardroom owners fear they will be next to follow. i dont know where to go if they close. for i dont trust neither florida nor NV not to do the same and theres not really any other states with poker rooms open hardly at all. wearing a mask is now strictly enforced on the city bus, all grocery stores and in the poker rooms.

and i saw a weird sign tonight in the convenience store by where im living that said to pay with debit or credit card if u dont have exact change and if u do have coins available they would like to buy them from u. claimed theres a severe coin shortage among banks here in houston. never heard of this, anyone else heard it?

i wish i wouldnt have lost my cloth mask. the others with strings make your ears feel sore and u constantly need new ones.

a 2+2 thread

i wish originally going to make the title of this entry about Larry Kesslers wife, when i dont even know who Larry Kessler is. I have a lot of weird dreams, didnt know what to write about without offending anyone, so i was going to write about a dream, but now ive forgotten almost all of the dream because ive spent the entire day at the cardroom since ive had the dream and my memory is bad.

i do notice i do a lot better when i spend more time at the tables, especially when there is no rake or time charges. and because of it, theres no point in ever leaving Houston, even though i need to get my ID in louisiana if replacing it is possible. also, i finally got a good room cleaning by the hotel housekeeping staff. and i do better when i spend less time updating the blog and more time playing. so ive won over $3000 since i wrote the last blog 10 days ago, and im finally back over $10k. of course im still extremely broke, i should have at least 40k more than i do. i need to see a medical doctor, get my ID fixed, be able to afford to prepay 6 months upfront and a deposit to find an actual luxury apt to rent to me instead of this motel, etc. and my entire life ive known 6-12 months of poker work can be destroyed in 1 week of blackjack. which is why its best i play in places which do not have casinos or dont have slots.

and i still need more dental work taken care of too, but seeing a doctor is probably a higher priority to be honest. i think its been over 10 yrs since ive had any type of checkup. i am trying to eat better. buying less icecream and more fruit and vegetables in the produce aisle. and i never buy bread.

52 gets more business because its around the clock and the owners stole all the big money plo and california players. Kings gets a ton of round the clock business because theres no charge at all in time, nor is there a rake. so u save about $500 a week. been that way for over 2 weeks now.

i figured it would end soon, but on the way home, the owner gave me a lift the other day and told me privately not to tell the other clubs this, but he plans to continue to give free time for several more months or until the other rooms shut down. he said to me hes won so much in the stock market he has zero need for money and is as much set for life as Bill Gates. so hes sharing it with all the loyal customers but doesnt want them to know it yet. first time ive ever seen a business start charging $0 for its product and keep it that way forever. wouldnt it be nice if all rental companies, gas stations, grocery stores and utility companies would follow suit?

i posted this on 2p2 for a few reasons. namely because autistic people dont understand when something is a joke and when it isnt. im just like Benny from roughing the punter. i say things i shouldnt all the time and its got me in trouble with the police in the past. without me even knowing im saying something that can get me in legal trouble. such as my felony at age 19, and my arrest in las vegas. i dont know when something is socially inappropriate which is why i cant find a good woman in my life.

i simply wanted to see who would be foolish enough to believe what i said about the owner of Kings, and to scare the hell out of the managers of Empire (eddie) and the manager of 52 social. i wanted to see if theyd lower their prices even more, although their prices arent too bad now. 52 offers free time from 10am to 3pm, and if u pay empire $20 u get the entire day free including your meal if u do it before 2pm. so theres basically a way in Houston to be constantly playing poker without any rake or time fees for the most part, and that alone is worth about $500 a week to anyone who normally puts in 50 hours a week at poker. so i dont understand why theres still poker players playing in other states unless theyre as tired of playing 9 handed as me and want to play with 6.

i find it funny some of the comments posted on 2+2 after i made this post in one of the threads. most people didnt believe it, and one guy did because hes played here, knows the owner and said the owner was doing well in his stock trading group. and then some claimed its fake news because they swore Kings is taking a rake, and there absolutely isnt any rake. the owner never said this to me and truthfully i have no idea when he will start charging again, but currently hes still not for well over 2 weeks now, and is collecting $0 revenue everyday, and is still giving out free money of $100 drawings at the table a few times a day. so yes hes been operating at a loss. no idea of his motive nor will i guess. i will say he is an extremely nice guy. havent seen him around lately and he was in there a ton.

i was also surprised when one of the employees high up in management decided i was a good candidate to stake in the guaranteed 52k tournement series going on that im sure they were worried would have a lot of overlays. I warned him i was tired because id been playing all day, and i didnt want to see him lose money and id be better playing it on a different day when id be more awake, but he said to play it. and told the tournament director to cover my addons, rebuys, and charge it all to HIM.

so i did as told and lost 3 buyins, the addon, and cost him $490 total. ill never get staked by him again most likely. i know i made at least 2 bad plays. but on the final hand i lost i think i played it well. this was after all addons and rebuys were completed and i had 128,000 in chips with i think blinds of 3000-6000 and big blind ante format. i had KJ suited and was the raiser. flop comes up 397 with 2 of my suit. so i had a lot of outs and shoved over the bet allin, to either go home and sleep or have a large supply of chips to likely be able to make it to the money. it was a flight in which is i went deep enough, id be coming back a different day to finish.

hes never seen me lose so he was probably surprised. they comment everyday about how i constantly sit in the game with $100, run it up to $250-350 and leave with a profit, day in and day out. Ray knows i play horribly when tired. But he didnt.

still plenty of poker, including a new room, in Houston.

I'm still not doing well, and was over $1000 better off a few weeks ago, and ive still got my work cut out for me to ever get back to over 10k, but the games here seem to be decent still. i got a little worried that week when i dropped over $2300 over a short period of time. id like to go to a few other places and Vince wouldnt mind doing a road trip while hes still not dealing or working the sportsbook and getting unemployment til at least the end of July. so he might come to Houston and if so we could go to a few other cities and do some things ive needed done. (return to LA to get ID, visit family in Ks, and then head up north to a city Vince wants to see). would also visit Choctaw too. and Coushatta reopens their poker room in a week on June 17, meaning a 2nd room in louisiana will finally reopen.

rooms in houston have been getting much busier lately. and one of the rooms ive been in (well for a while it was 2 rooms) have been charging absolutely NOTHING for playing. no rake, no time, etc. so thats saving me a substantial amount of money but only if i was playing nowhere but that room, which i cant really do when im constantly needing to hit and run when my roll is so low and im having to play with my own money. was up $250 once tonight, and quit up $209.

i had something really weird happen to me on my way home tonight. my Uber driver was very close by (5 minutes) instead of 19 minutes but when Leah came, it was a woman in the passenger seat and a guy in the drivers seat. and she told me he was her fiancee and he didnt like her driving at night and wanted to keep her safe. now this is definitely against the rules, so he should be reported, but im afraid to because theyd lose their right to drive for Uber and someone really angry would know where i lived and spend my time at too. but yeah it makes me feel unsafe because i dont know who this guy is and why hes in the drivers seat. he couldve commandeered over her car as far as i know.

the city buses are still free in Houston and have been since march. i find it hard to believe its true but i was told in vegas only the strip bus runs, which would make it next to impossible for a lot of the poor to get to work. all the buses are running here.

i dont even like walking partway down the street in the middle of the night from 1 poker room to the newest Houston poker room, called Empire on westheimer. i worry ill get mugged. doing the day i feel totally fine and taking the bus but i hate being outdoors once its dark. especially since im almost always carrying over $500 unless i just lost all my money. or at least $300. but Ed who runs the new room, is a very nice guy, offered me a shirt from his business advertising it, offered to pay for a massage once from one of his game girls, and also comped me transportation before. i hope his room succeeds and lasts throughout the night so i can have more options enabling hits and runs easier.

also daniel who runs the room across from empire cattycorner is a nice guy. hes gave me a ride before too. and i got $10 for referring a new member. he is still giving everyone free time, no idea for how many more days, but over 5 days now. so he is missing out on about $3000 a day or more by doing this.

i finally got my laundry done too. and i should tell my hotel theres roaches in the room, but worry ill get the blame since the rooms been needing cleaned since housekeeping hasnt been in. if it wasnt for the coronavirus they wouldve forced me to allow housekeeping by now.

Many poker rooms have reopened, and NV managed to get approval for 5 instead of 4 the last minute, so that will make the games better and more rooms want to open. remember 6-7 is much better than 4 handed or 9 handed.

what surprised me the most is turning stone in NY and Thunder valley in CA reopening their poker rooms, and both allow MORE than 6 players, since theyre controlled by far left wing governors. MI will never have poker again in detroit for many months so i guess ill never be able to live at Rays to save money for a long time.

im tired of being forced to play Omaha instead of holdem

well more and more rooms are beginning to open around the country, mostly in texas or florida. some states where people are dumb enough to vote for demonrats arent ever going to reopen a poker room.

only problem is all the 8 and 9 player rooms. not that im worried about it causing me to get the virus (im not worried) but the fact it might cause the city to change its mind about us being open. and the fact it makes the games harder to beat, and to make us wait longer for a seat because less tables can be opened.

18 people divided up into 3 tables instead of 2 makes getting a seat easier.

the promotion at 52 social where u win an extra $200 if a hand goes to showdown and u win with 52 suited or unsuited is about to end id heard. and Kings is still giving away $1000 a day in various button drawings at different hours of the day. the drop is $2 per hour lower at Kings, and they are within a 1 mile walk of each other, and a 2 mile walk from Prime social. ive walked it many times but wouldnt do it once its dark out. The new black girl who gives massages at Kings is great, and Mel the dealer at 52 social is a very nice and beautiful person. but i still prefer 52 to Kings because i dont want to play nothing but holdem until my bank roll is much larger. its still extremely low

i am still $623 worse off than i was the other day and yet rent is almost due again on tuesday. at Kings they play 1-2 hands of Omaha per orbit just like most of the underground games did. and 3 times this week ive flopped the nut straight it got raised and reraised til i was allin on the flop and sometimes everyone in the pot is allin on the flop. and every time i lost my entire stack. did not hold up one time. u cant just fold the nuts and u cant put yourself at a disadvantage by folding every hand preflop just because its omaha while still posting blinds. all u can do is play your best omaha game, but it sure makes u feel a need to hit and run with some very small holdem wins u would never quit the game otherwise for.

2 of the major places dont mix omaha with holdem. prime and 52. and also some of the places way far out. im never asked for ID in houston because i already got players cards before it expired the end of march. but i feel like i cant go to any casinos because of it so im staying put in houston. i fear like if i go to a new cardroom in dallas, austin or edinbergh or el paso, they wont take my expired ID to sign up for a membership. Mint said on the phone they cant do it. thats why i went around and visited lots of rooms to sign up for a players card in March before it expired. i have no idea if the shreveport DMV ever reopened yet, or if i could rent a room at the hotel on my old ID to make my old ID address still be current so i could renew it. or if i could walk in the DMV and get one in person though i was told once i could. i dont even have a SS card, just this old expired ID and a canadian birth certificate.

my rent increased from $245 a week to $280 i guess hotels are getting more business clients again would be the cause. and grocery stores are staying open longer, the Krogers where food costs more but it stayed open longer than walmart is now open til 11pm. i wonder how long walmart stays open now? later than 830pm maybe? but theres still a terrible bad shortage of Lyft drivers. ray could save up a large bankroll if he went to work driving for Lyft. theres a huge demand, and so many arent working now and collecting unemployment the few who are working are extremely busy and making a killing. if u dont believe me, join a lyft driver facebook page and look at them bragging about how much they are now making compared to the old days.
