worst planned trip in history ever made by anyone

 well it looks like very few people read the previous blog, about how king of donks helped me escape from Choctaw, where i was sharing a room with Bill Potts. but im going to update anyway since this is a major news story. Im no longer in Texas, or anywhere even close to texas such as oklahoma. 

i was woken up about 845 am by the maid, (which is why i hate maids so much) but i dont think she knew she woke me up because she knocked once and walked off. so why do it? obviously people like to sleep and leave the last minute right before noon. if she just wanted to see if the rooms empty, testing the door to see if its deadbolted does this, no need to wake people up. this is about the worst type of customer service u can do. and no manager ever tells them its wrong like they should, which is why i tell the manager all the time at every hotel. 

but unlike most i cant go back to sleep at times, so i looked on poker atlas, and seen tables open at the texas cardhouse up the street. so i packed all my suitcases, and gave them to the front desk to hold since i figured i wouldnt be back before noon and walked over there 3 blocks up the street since it was daylight. and i had about $5000 on me since id checked out and couldnt leave it in my room or in my suitcases, and king of donks had drove me to the bank to deposit some other money the night before. 

turns out the card room had lost their internet and wasnt able to shut off the app, and wouldnt be open til noon. so since i didnt want to walk back and go back in the room, (really was wanting to go back to sleep) but didnt want to see Bill Potts again and have him want to insist on sharing a room so he could save money i decided just to fly out of town. i knew he was coming into dallas today. 

it was $30 to the airport and once i got there about 11am, i went to look at the outgoing flight to look for flights between 12 and 1 so i wouldnt have to sit there all day. thats basically how i decide where im going to fly. i wouldve preferred Reno, but it was a wait til after 430pm. and that was too long to sit around the airport. thought about Memphis because it was cheap and quick, but the problem is theres no poker there, only vbj at southland gaming even though i wanted to see if anything had changed about the dealers angels machine. 

thought about el paso, it was quick and cheap, but el paso doesnt have anything but poker. considered tucson because it too was an early flight but wasnt sure if there was poker yet in tucson til i seen lightnings post later in the day. and vegas was also a wait til later in the day or id have took it instead. and wouldve saved a fortune on hotel costs since i had so many free nights and free play to pick up. so i was disappointed nothing in the day was sooner going to vegas. this is what i meant by the trip being poorly planned out. 

also there was a 1230 flight to deadwood, but there too, theres not much poker. and less options for vbj there too now. 

so i ended up flying east out of dallas. instead of any of the other locations id mentioned. it was not the first choice and once i booked the ticket and started looking around at hotel room costs i thought did i make a big mistake. for example my room for 3 nights, where i slept all night last night and did not yet leave to go play poker. which i will do soon, was $674. 

and when i went to book it i was thinking it was $139 a night plus tax and how that was high. somehow they raised the price at the last minute right before i accepted. it ended up being $199 a night plus tax. now this is a nice safe hotel far better than the hotel i shouldve took, and farther out from the casino. just the Uber from the airport was $49. actually i took lyft. uber wouldve been way more so i looked up lfyt.

ive got til checkout monday to find a better deal and i will use airbnb to do it and i notice i can get it for about $2100 a month if i pick an extended stay america thats a little closer but still not close. thats if i go thru thier website. nothing on priceline was cheap and still safe this weekend. if i dont get something for a month guess ill fly out or amtrak it to another location within 200 miles. 

my bankroll was almost close to 40k when i was winning in choctaw but its at only 37k now and it was still about 38200 when i left dallas. having the freedom of a roll that high instead of living paycheck to paycheck like all the suckers who read my blog do gives u the opportunity make these kind of dumb life choices and still have an amount of cash in your checking account that only the top 1 percent of people carry. people far richer than me dont carry near that much in their bank account.

its good to be out of Oklahoma, before i lost everything id won since leaving Dallas.

 But of course, the main reason im happy is because im no longer sharing a room with Bill Potts, and that i no longer feel ill from a cold with a stopped up nose. i feel fine this evening. 

the video BJ here in choctaw which is countable and stands on ALL soft 17s? i had won $1300 on it a day or so ago since checking in Sunday for my 5 free nights. and then last night i won another $900 on it. and today, i was playing on it because Bill Potts said i should run thru at least 7000 a day in coin in to look good to the host and to continue getting good offers. well i ran into some bad luck today and was down almost $2000 on it when King of donks who lives in Dallas and has disappeared from this blog for quite a long time walked up and introduced himself and asked me how i was doing. 

he offered me a ride into dallas without charge, and i knew Bill Potts wouldnt ever do it for free, and Bill even wanted $25 to run me to walmart to buy pajamas. and also he hadnt paid his share of the room yet and i wasnt sure if id ever get the money. truthfully id much rather been living with Ray. 

so i decided to go and i told Bill Potts (a fake name he wishes me to use of course) and he paid me for the week so i didnt need to go check out of my hotel yet since the rooms good til friday morning. and im out of there, and im still up a little for the blackjack and the poker and didnt give it all back. and then today me and king of donks both played on seperate tables (he only plays NL) and i was getting stuck at first in the $1-2 NL but i finally got moved over to the dealers choice, and recovered all the money back plus i ended up winning over $450. and i paid my $30 monthly membership fee finally if i stay in the dallas area that i shouldve paid last week instead of paying $10 every day.

and then i got him to find me the nearest walmart, and surprisingly enough its now open til midnite. i had no idea. so i got grapes and strawberries on the way to my hotel here in dallas. 

Ray will be glad to know im no longer sharing a room with a jackass who wants to nit me up for fees on every little thing i need done and also that im no longer going to be around video blackjack unless i fly out of here to fort lauderdale, reno or vegas which i really should do. u can pretty much fly or amtrak anywhere in the US from dallas at a reasonable cost. either that or get a place for a month somewhere here in texas. still need to visit austin and san antonio sometime too. 

its going to be difficult to leave dallas as easy as it is to win money at texas card house. out of 5 sessions total, ive only had 1 big loss and 4 big wins. plus i get to play hilo pot limit every single day and i doubt there is another city in texas in which that game goes near that often. only other city i know it goes everyday is in Biloxi, not in texas. 

Poker room review, texas cardhouse dallas.

 im going to tell u everything i like and do not like about the room compared to Houston, and unlike all the people who are getting paid, im going to be honest about my feelings. 

to begin with, a big thanks to Cdizzy who took me up here for $440. she picked me up in Houston, and drove there from the ranch where she lives in Aubrey Tx with her family, a little bit north of dallas towards Winstar. originally we were going to choctaw, but there was no availability until sunday. so im here in dallas for 4 nights til sunday. Once sunday gets here, ill have 5 free days at Choctaw, and Bill Potts will also be back there by then. hes driving thru Iowa right now enroute. And if he knows whats good for him, he will check out every single casino enroute for VBJ opportunities.

cdizzy also covered the cost of our food at KFC, and at walmarts enroute which also was about $35 total. and she was my "secretary" making phone calls for my behalf so i could book rooms enroute. since i abhor using a phone to talk with companies on. 

Cdizzy hasnt been playing poker lately, but lightning remembers her well. she is waiting for winstar to open because she says she is a star there and everyone knows her like an old friend, and has never been to the rooms in dallas. 

okay. now when i left the poker room so i could "hit and run" while still up $319 between all the different games i played, and the door fee and time fees, i accidently left my phone behind. this is because they do NOT have phone charging stations under each invididual seat at the tables but only against the wall. so the good news is Ray was around when i reached him on twitter on my laptop immediately upon walking back to my hotel. (which i would never do if it were dark outside). Last night, i spent $17 on Uber to avoid this. my hotel quit running shuttle services last year because of the virus. so this is just one more big expense because of the virus. and more good news is they immediately found the phone and held it for me to pick up. 

more good news is the fact the games here seem easier to win in, than in Houston, because i won about $750 last nite along with the money i just won today. and more good news is theres a lot more hi low choices available. there is a $1-2-5 Congress (same game as big 0 hilow but just a weird name no one has ever heard it called) and also the round of each game here is hilow and high omaha, instead of the roe in houston which is holdem and omaha hi. and at times there are mixed games going maybe $10-20 fixed limit, maybe a little more. so now let me tell u all the bad news.

they only have small size bottled water here. no big sized like 52 social. and u cannot get the water and the coffee yourself. and you still have to wear a mask here. in fact they will tell u to pull it up over your nose, just like choctaw and coushatta. the only straddle is UTG (actually for me thats good news). the min buy is $200 instead of $100 in most of the games i prefer to sit in, with the exception of $60 in $1-2 NL. u cant buy in deep in the $1-2 NL, only in the $2-5. Houston only has $1-3 and its basically no cap in Houston, making for a much better game. 

whats worst of course is no chargers in the seats. and they do not pass out masks here and in Houston, i depended on getting a clean mask every time by picking one up in the casino, so i have no idea how id get clean masks everyday if i lived here. walmart maybe sells them but i dont know where. never bought a mask in my life, always got them free. 

also time is a lot more expensive here. $13 an hour, and no promotions to avoid it. $5 an hour at Kings in Houston, and $12 an hour at 52 social, some games $8 or $6 certain times of the day. plus at 52 u could pay $100 for $120 in time. not so here in dallas. 

so the game u need to hit and run and move tables a lot here due to the bigger min buys. and theres often long wait lists for seats. and they close at 6am and dont open til noon, so u cant play 24 hours and they wont even open til noon. 

At least u get a really low price on a really nice room at the Wyndham for playing here. probably about $20-40 less per night than otherwise.

u also have to buy chips before u sit, so less customer service. at 52 they have girls on the floor selling chips or a brush when u sit. Lots of players consider it rude, to be told they have to buy at the cage. and there is no tables at all because they dont sell food, so if u have more than 1 drink, like a coffee and a water which is very common, its difficult to store your drinks. my whole life ive always got a table and put it next to me on sitting down. which is why i flip out so bad when people sit their racks on the floor instead of grabbing a table and sitting it there. i snap think if this guy is so inconsiderate as to put his rack on the floor where everyone will trip on it, why am i expected to be considerate of him?

the UTG straddle can be from 2x the BB to 5x the BB so u do have some flexibility. but no button. and there are bomb pots even in hilo tables, but those are dealt hi so often they have no bomb pot. they do have a game at times thats live streamed, but after the mike postle incident at stones, who would trust anyone who live streams?

the good news was when i lost my reading glasses immediately the first day. i could buy new ones for $8 at the gift shop in the same parking lot shopping plaza as the casino.
