hard rock cincinnati trip report

i have been too busy lately to update the blog and of course i lost interest in publishing because i could never publish what i wanted to say without worrying about the ramifications of upsetting people and places. but i still cant win in PLO in detroit. at least they removed the plexiglass finally and the PLO tables in the other room are no longer 7 handed, but are 8 now just like the NL tables are. and u can drink water in the poker room and theres a coffee machine full of coffee in there again.

on the way to the hard rock in cincinnati, Ray (my driver) and i stopped and visited a place called the mad river poker club in dayton. there was a wild and loose 2-5 plo game there which goes daily and doesnt allow button straddles but had a lot of double board bomb pots. but they were a little higher than id preferred, they were $25 every dealer change. $10 or $15 wouldve been better.

and a cheap motel nearby but no idea how safe. we didnt stay in dayton and just like toledo and most places nowdays no Uber available or lyft most of the time.

even in downtown cincinnati that was often the case except for during busy hours i actually seen a few tonight downtown.

a guy in the PLO yesterday didnt know who i was til after i quit the PLO up over $500 and told him i was going to update my blog and do a trip report. he asked me which blog it was, and i showed him on his phone and he said he was familiar with it and used to read it. he did not know i was with Ray who was playing on the other end of the table and found out about 30 minutes after i left the table when he was mentioning the blog, knew i had autism, and difficulty refraining from live blackjack, and when Ray mentioned it was video blackjack thats when he asked ray how he knew me and if he also read the blog. and Ray told him how he had since i was 19. Ray also told me the guy stood up for me to another player at the table after i left, and was a supporter of the blog. not a troll like i first feared when he said he knew about the blog.

i won another $1000 in the NL, but of course most of its all been used paying Ray, gas, and of course overpriced hotel rooms that arent that great. especially weekends. the drunk girl in seat 1 i first thought was the pro who knew everyone and was flying to vegas on frontier today donated over $600 in about 3 hands and she had over $800 on the table a bit earlier. i had 99, flop was A93 all in diamonds, 5 of diamonds on the turn where she bet $70 into a big pot and i only called scared of that 4th diamond (she had 10 7 offsuit one of which was a diamond) river pairs the 3 for my full house. so then i bet $70, and she makes it $250 and that scared me that she had aces full or quads, but no, i won.

the other big pot i won from her soon thereafter. and there were 2 other drunk guys giving away a lot of money there too. i had aj of clubs called a raise preflop from another player, and she pops it again. and the flop comes AQ7 and i bet and she goes allin for about 600. (with ace 2 offsuit and a guy is looking at her hand thats also drunk and had just sat). i finally called, and was relieved to see the hand. and it held up too.

tonight the PLO was a little tighter, but i won 2 big pots early and left the PLO with over $600 still and was up over 200 more. after leaving, i lost about $125 more in NL. then ray and i found a good bank of america far outside downtown in a nice safe suburb. and i was still over 380 up when i left the casino.

and they dont even have the staff wear masks here, which is good. most players make the staff do it even when they no longer require the players to. and unlike the private club in toledo where u have to get your massage from a militant bull dyke for $1 a minute, here an attractive girl gives the massage but sadly it $2 a minute so i cant afford it.
