Having an issue with Uber drivers and could use some advice, especially from fellow drivers

 yesterday (or the day before) i took Uber to Walmart on the way home and it showed the driver was going to be a woman called Janette. when the driver arrived, a guy was driving with a woman sitting in the front seat and the weather wasnt too good because there was a little snow and it never snows here. so it was very slick outside and i just assumed maybe he was driving for his wife because she was afraid to drive in the weather and they couldnt afford to take a day off work. (of course he couldve also been using her account because he had a violent criminal record and couldnt drive himself, so this why Uber bans it). 

i made it to Walmart with no issues and i decided to let it go and not say anything to Uber, but i left the trip unrated just in case. 

funny thing is today, when leaving one poker room and headed to another, it assigned me the exact same driver, and i noticed she has only done 18 trips total and is brand new. so maybe he was just showing her how it works, or maybe he really does have a reason he cant drive for Uber under his name. 

but today i never got a chance to find out if the man was driving or the woman, for the driver was going the wrong direction on the highway and he was supposed to uturn around but instead the driver kept getting further and further away so i cancelled for free and got another driver. 

now im thinking this person, either the man or the woman, obviously doesnt know what theyre doing and shouldnt be driving, but i still hesitate to turn them in in case theyd try to look me up at the poker room angry i got his wife fired. i would like to know what BobbyG would do who was an Uber driver. 

i left arizona with $39k and now im over $44k and ive never met any other city as easy to win at poker as this city. Probably because im paying less in time and or rake. also almost every gas station u see, gas is like only $2.78 per gallon, or at least less than $3. 

ive had almost no losing sessions (well thats because i martingale and dont leave til im up $200 or so and then im hitting and running constantly). so maybe thats how i covered all my expenses here and still gained over 5k to the roll in under a month. i must have made well over 8 or 9k. even Ray could win here if he would only come visit, and probably even Vince could win. Certainly Lightning could. 

i could save about $100 if i paid up a whole month, but i still keep feeling like i might fly out. i dont like waiting til late in the day to be able to play PLO instead of NL. and i miss the good deal at Vinces house for $500 a month. plus i worry i should be seeing a doctor, a dentist, and Vince still has the paperwork mom sent to assist me in getting proof of citizenship.

 Often i dont know what to discuss in this blog or fear discussing what i would like to discuss. so maybe i should write down some of the weird dreams. this is why i posted that strange tweet last night, to help me remember one of those dreams. 

i was on a hybrid bus and train and couldnt find a safe place to sit because people were throwing arrows at each other. and i went around this one corner and was sitting where a couple of women were in a room alone, and then i wanted to walk outside and couldnt because they had a bunch of dogs and i couldnt let the dogs get out the front door and i needed help holding back the dogs. 

then all of a sudden im outside and trying to check into my hotel and i see a girl and she is talking into a microphone to help find the right employee and im over a ton of water and i can only see water everywhere i go and im flying over the water, looking for employee number 4 who is going to be able to check me in. 

and the girl says into her speaker "you know some days u just have to coldwire the pimp, four four four"

id talk about some other dreams from all the other days, but i tend to forget them very quickly if not immediately written down (which isnt the best idea either because by the time ive got my laptop open and working, i might be too much awake then to fall back to sleep). i wish i could not wake up til late in the afternoon, (so i could play more PLO and less holdem). but the thing that messed up my schedule was having to wake up all the time before 11 to either renew hotel rooms or switch hotels. 

and since im no longer young enough to force myself to play my best 12-15 hour sessions, i cant switch my hours. Ask Ray, it was very difficult. 

im concerned about my Uber rating going down. its only at 4.74 i think i complain way too much about GPS taking horrible routes to up my costs. sometimes i get a lower rate by making the driver take side routes instead of the freeway but it takes more time. but the total distance is much less so the fares lower. and one day i put in a stop at an ATM beforehand thru the app to force it to take a certain route. but then after driving me a few miles one way i dont know if the gps changed the route or if he was just not following it because he wanted to take the highway but he goes back the whole 3 miles the other way and then before he gets on the highway going way out of the way (and after id asked him not to) i suddenly decide i want out and have him drop me off at this walmart instead of the walmart close to where im staying. so it was such a funny route map i got the auto message from uber my trip ended early is everything ok? i shouldve complained but its so much effort to do it from the cell i let it go. usually i dont let it go. 

my carpal tunnel is getting worse in my arm. this one cardroom had a football promo during the game they draw a table to throw a tiny miniature football thru 4 hoops all of which pay money. i missed both throws and got zero. most people at least get the $20 and sometimes $100. its because that right arm couldnt hardly toss it high enough it was way too low. 

also candy is junk food, im sick of convenience stores, gift shops selling it over what people actually like to eat. if the waitress would come around passing out apples or bananas id throw her a dollar or two every time and grab one. but ill never take a piece of junk candy or bag of chips. very microscopic tiny bags too. i hate those tiny bags. 

one club the players are far worse and its easier to win in than the others i think its where i had most of the wins. sad thing is its open later in the day than the others and charges more for time. but at least i pay far less here than houston or dallas. 

the water was off 1-2 days at my hotel and i got 1 free day as compensation, but weirdly enough, i couldnt log in to the net that night i wasnt officially registered for that free day, and the manager claimed there was no way i could log in the net without paying for the room which is weird. only time in my life ive went without internet for a night. drove me nuts. its just how their internet is set up u log in with your last name and room number. 

im still over $3k better off than i was when Lightning drove me to Harrahs ak chin from phoenix. 

out of town trip report

 i suppose i should be feeling good, since ive won over $300 5 times in the past week. in this new location, ive had more winning sessions by far than losing sessions. and the cost of Uber isnt too bad as long as i stay not that far from the cardroom. when i first came to town, it was high because my hotel was too far away. 

i also visited a new casino, and i actually won on the video BJ even though it was 6-5 i made about $300 or so, but i had to put a bet of $880 up once divided up among multiple spots. Thank God that didnt lose. 

Remember when i seen the dentist a couple years ago in Houston and never went back for the other 3 teeth on the other side? the day i paid the $1700 right before the lockdown? those teeth or others are starting to feel sore and really need to be taken care of. 

Koala claims on twitter im not in Mexico and i guess technically he is right. but im often within 1-2 blocks of the border and it certainly feels like Mexico. the games are quite good, and at one poker room, i am saving money by paying $20 upfront and it covers the rake for the entire day, no matter how long i play for. but i hit and run too much to take full advantage of it. 

on the way here, before riding Amtrak, i went and checked out the casino in Tucson and a few places in Phoenix, with the help of lightning. but the trip to Tucson i used Uber for. I must say thats a good poker room on the west side of Phoenix but it wasnt 24 hours yet in the poker room when i was there. it will be about the time u read this blog. but not enough PLO and way too high a min buy in their plo and worse yet, a lack of double board bomb pots 

the room in Tucson wasnt taking much in rake, but the room was small and dead. not more than 1-2 tables going. and the Uber fare was sky high seeing everywhere to stay is so far from their casino. its too far out. 

i got lucky to recover a phone i left in the Uber drivers car which gave me a big scare the other day, with the help of some friendly poker room employees who let me arrive with a suitcase when it was too early to checkin to my hotel (meant i had my laptop on me) and they also tried to text and call my phone for me. i did give the driver a big tip once the phone was returned. the real problem with Uber is if u lose the phone, u cant login on someone elses phone, because it tries to send a text code to the phone u lost which of course u must verify to login, and are unable to recieve. thank God for Uber twitter support. 

and i found a way to keep Uber from longhauling me a shit ton out of the way to this one hotel i was using. (put in a stop halfway in between that forces a different route than the one uber app would use) which has them go another way. it actually made the fare a few bucks less too. 

also heres a great reason why to find the most right wing christian conservative and vote for them in every school board election. i went into Target today and was buying food and my bill came to $73.84. i handed the clerk $84 (because i didnt want more $1s in change). instead of giving me a $10 bill and 16 cents, he handed me $6.16. he was asking me why was i giving him one dollar bills when id get change back anyway. 

i didnt notice it til i was outside waiting for the Uber so i didnt want to go back in and look for the boss with the Uber on its way but it shows how dumb people are at math and i realized he didnt know what he was doing. i was looking at my receipt and it claimed i gave him $80 instead of $84 and the change due on $80. this is what happens when schools push far left woke agendas instead of math. 

one thing i didnt like this evening is when stuck too fast in a game that got too shorthanded way too fast, i was told if i bought in $1000 they would  be willing to switch the game for me from regular PLO to all bomb pot double board PLO. i did so and eventaully quit up over $330. and at the time i was stuck about $225. i feel so much more comfortable because when a game is short im continually getting raised and having to pay more than $5 to see a flop so $10 bomb pots are much better because it stops me from being raised all the time preflop. 

once both flops are out u know about 66% of your hand so u have a real good idea what to do which u dont in a normal game. much less variance and a lot more skill than normal PLO. thats why i can win easier. i would never put $1000 on the table in a normal game unless badly stuck trying to get unstuck. 

the dangers of Nuclear war is why i left vegas

 well its a shame all the good blogs have disappeared. Lightning rarely updates his, and not even after making a recent Las vegas trip. (no report after 2 weeks). RobVegasPoker stopped his entirely. and in the old days, there were a few more. (Josie, Flushdraw, and Grumps). and we all know why i quit typing blogs like i used to update regularly (the time i got arrested freaked me out so i felt i could never have freedom of speech.) and then cancel culture came around to make sure the whole world knew and was clear that u absolutely do not have freedom of speech if u dont toe the democratic party line. 

yeah, look at all the people still in jail for exercising their first amendment right to protest on January 6th, and all the people who looted and burned things down and got zero time for that (along with protesting) on behalf of far leftist causes. Look at all the people who completely lost their twitter and facebook accounts for telling the truth. probably the only reason i still have mine is because 2500 followers isnt enough to be a threat to the establishment. notice how Tulsi Gabbard left the party and make a really great speech and case for doing so on youtube when she did on her own new youtube channel. 

and the time i got arrested in 2017, i was actually planning to remove my posts within 6-24 hours later, but first was going to disappear out of town and then do so. i only did it to attract the attention of a few of my moms facebook friends so a pastor in KS who was retired and old could see what a whore his new wifes daughter was. certainly not to get Grump to try to do something to get me banned from 100s of poker rooms id never caused any issues of which i had never yet visited. 

This is an excellent example of how disabling autism is, and how it causes u to do weird things because u do not comprehend what others are thinking and feeling and how they will react. 

i wrote these first few paragraphs a week or so ago and then never finished. i havent even been in vegas in over a week but it wouldnt be a good idea to say where i am til after the 26th of october. the 2 or 3 people i trust who know the full story agree why it shouldnt be mentioned any details of yet. also my money has gone down a little bit. im only in the 38k range now. spent a little on games not the best to play, and a little on a place to stay for a short bit and on travel related costs. 

i worry alot about nuclear war under the leaders we have now and i highly recommend u listen to the podcasts that Tulsi Gabbard is hosting. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-tulsi-gabbard- show/id1549623127  Some people think that i admire Putin and i dont really think thats the right word. do i understand his anger at Nato? yes. do i think the CIA was involved in the 2014 Ukrainian revolution instead of it being the true will of the Ukrainian people? yes. do i think the US would react the same as Russia and want to intervene if it was US nationals being shelled by their govt and mistreated in mexico or canada the same way Russian nationals in eastern Ukraine were being shelled by their government and mistreated. yes i do. Ukraine isnt a democracy. all opposition parties are banned, the former president had to leave the country and u go to jail if u wont support the war. also russia lost a ton of land after the breakup of the soviet union so of course they dont want to lose more people or crimea. Russia always owned Crimea until a former soviet leader gave it to Ukraine. and none of the people who lived there wanted to be Ukrainian. 

In fact zelensky has made many statements asking the west to start ww3 with a nato attack on Russian soil. 

i think all sides, including both the US, Europe, Ukraine and Russia should begin to stand down and look for a way out with dignity. that means both sides getting things they dont want. But Russia has never wanted war with the US and Europe like our leaders do who hate them simply because of Trump. they dont hate Russia over the ukraine although its what they claim. but i dont trust Putin at all, (to look out for my interests, nor do i trust Biden). he looks out only for Russia and the Russian peoples interest, whether they live in the motherland or Ukraine or Crimea. so i feel he might strike the US without warning, just to make sure we wont have the ability to hit first. and millions of americans would die. the risk of this happening is worth stopping at all costs. not one american death is worth it in defending the Ukraine. remember, Ukraine isnt even a democracy. 

the US wouldnt let Cuba do what it wanted in the 1960s so why should Russia let Ukraine do whatever it wants? its their backyard, same as Cuba was to President Kennedy (a man we all admire) so we should stay out. President Kennedy was assassinated by our same CIA because of his willingness to stop a nuclear war. 

its folly to think that Nato can be on Russias borders without neutral countries in between and folly to give ukraine a huge percentage of our weapons without it upsetting Russia and causing huge hardships and inflation for the american people. and i know the democrats dont care about all the extra people who die on both sides if the war is prolonged instead of ending today. A democrat is someone incapable of compassion empathy or respect for human life. its why they supported forced vacinations, letting people out with no bail who commit violent assualts and robberies without worry of being prosecuted for it, and abortion up til the 9th month.

I would encourage Bill Potts to come to Phoenix and campaign for Kari Lake, just like Tulsi Gabbard has (i listened to her speak on youtube at an event yesterday) he did it before for Virginia and it worked out rather well. the tensions between the US and Russia must be reduced at all costs. 

also i think a large reason why im not winning much is because i havent played as much PLO lately. hopefully ill soon be playing more and a little bit bigger NL games so i can cover the costs of living. 

Vegas trip report

 i really need to get out of Reno, because a friend of mine whose girlfriend recently died offered me housing at a very low price by the week or month, but its in another city i really dont care too much to live in, but im tired of too much NL in reno and constantly having to move rooms all the time and often no games at the wrong hours of the day. (this blog was started over a week ago in reno before i came to vegas and i never finished)

yeah when people get old, they kind of want a place where they can receive mail, have a friend nearby, and a kitchen without having to move. but i do kind of hate not being able to have a hotel room anymore. im running low on weekend offers though im still getting some offers throughout the week. i knew these offers wouldnt last forever if i cut back on the video machines and the blackjack but ive had so many years of previous history of losing at live or video blackjack its hard for the offers to disappear entirely. for example, even if i didnt play no more, the next 4 months up til january a place in vegas is still giving me 3 nights, plus $100 plus $75. even the strat finally gave me 2 nites free and they usually only offered a lower rate where u still paid the $45 resort fee. 

so good to see burning man over with and normal uber fees again for the most part. all them damn drug addicts screwed me big time. 

I would like to be able to give u a report of the new casino in reno called legends, but i havent made it over there yet. theres no poker, so all there would be to investigate is any type of unknown machines worth playing or live blackjack. or sign up bonus. but since its owned by casino fandango in carson city, i dont have too much hope. (update) i did make it to legends before i left town and though there are no video blackjack, craps and roulette games they do have 3-2 on all their blackjack games and none are 6-5. 

the host kenneth knew me from playing poker at the peppermill and i suggested to him they install a dealers angels machine and he said he would pass it on. 

ok as u can see, now ive been in vegas the last few days. happy to report the glitch still works for free slot play, and they still have bomb pots at the sahara and at resorts. i have won back the $500 i paid vince and a little more in the past few days so now im a little over 36k again from the 35s. it will be a long time before im ever back to the 44k i had at one time. i still want vince to relocate to texas. A certain donkey ive been trying to convince to join the all bomb pot game said he will come visit from Phoenix on the 26th so we will see. all NL players need to learn theres more money and less variance by switching to PLO.

continued reno trip report of how difficult it is to win when all u play is NL holdem

 

i have not been getting anywhere at all here in Reno (since i won that jackpot) and am down to $34900. i have only a bit less than half of the jackpot left. i wonder if part of the issue is that i am tired of only playing NL holdem (the elderly womans game) instead of PLO (a mans game) because reno just doesnt offer hardly any PLO. the only reason ive stuck around reno is because i still havent had to pay for a hotel room yet, and until i have to start paying for hotels, its kind of hard to leave. and of course i dont want to fly to texas until i can pick up the free $500 slot play for september at the hardrock in tahoe. 

the games often break in the middle of the night and some rooms arent 24 hours for poker every day of the week. i went to 3 different rooms tonight for poker, and the 3rd one flat out lied on bravo that there was a game going. when i arrived, a game was still showing on bravo, and the poker room had been dark for over 30 minutes with all the employees gone. 

and i think im playing bad. especially when i get ahead. i get dealt hands like 10 10 preflop (when my $40 buyin is now a little over $500). a guy raises a guy shoves allin for about $85 and i fold, and the raiser has AQ and the shover has 66 and i wouldve tripled the money. 

i worry the ONLY thing i can do once i get ahead is lose all the money back so all i want to do is go to a new casino and buy back in for the minimum, regardless of whether its smart to spend $10 on uber to sit with $100 elsewhere 

maybe if i didnt feel my bankroll is so small i wouldnt worry, but all id have to do is lose over $300 100 times and id be totally broke and out of action so i feel like my roll is nothing. (and cannot be ever put at risk). (but i sure dont feel that way when im playing blackjack so why do i feel this way)

or i get a hand like KJ suited and instead of shove the straddle of $6 only limp on the button with an $80 stack. and then i get beat by K5 on a king high flop. im scared to shove preflop because i feel like someone with a pair or an ace will call and ill be getting my stack in with the worst of it, but once the hands over its never the case. 

or ill have AQ, call a raise on the button, flop comes AQ8 and 8 on the turn. im ahead and i win the hand, but win far less than i could if i dont fear the worst. 

reno actually has a 24 hour grocery store but without a microwave its hard to buy food. especially since i have to move at least every 5 days, sometimes every 2 days. though i usually have a fridge minus a freezer. its called winco. 

also for those with a ton of Uber rewards points, u need to start using those up fast. im using up all of mine, i had about 10,000 points and its ending in october. 

also the customer service is really bad at places around town, but i cant say anything when im not paying for rooms. such as the problem i have at times getting them to make fresh coffee when it tastes horrible and is the same coffee been there all day, and then theres rooms i lose over $2500 on slots and never ever get comps (rooms i mean). and then theres rooms i think are cheating me on double deck BJ and i think its why they let me play and is why i hate shoes. the waitress wouldnt bring a coffee the entire 30-45 minutes i was at the table. and about 5-6 hands of a big bet (i lost over $2000) the dealer turned over 15 or 16, and drew 20 or 21. every single time. didnt bust once. so i think theyre holding out the cards they need which they cant do with a shoe. especially when the pit boss is older and the dealer. old mafia people. most all my bj bans are in reno because of all the single and double deck here. no one ever bans people if theyre counting in a shoe game, or even notices. thats why all the shoe games went to 6-5. so counters couldnt sit. 

i also found out ive got $400 free slot play for august i didnt know about so that $900 (including sept $500) in free play i need to pick up at the hard rock in tahoe. but i dont want to pay a big fee going there for it. 

also maybe the titles wrong. almost everything ive lost (over 5k since hitting the jackpot discussed in the previous blog) was all lost on video bj, or live blackjack. wasnt lost at NL. although NL is a much tougher game than PLO because everyone is an expert in it and the wins are much smaller. 

reno trip report all advantage players should read it.

 okay i know a lot of people are waiting to read this blog, since i posted some good news on twitter the other day and it hasnt been updated since i left Vegas. however, the good news u seen on twitter is about the ONLY good news. 

to start with, my airplane was delayed on the tarmac 45 minutes due to mechanical issues and when i was finally in reno, my airport casino shuttle broke down and overheated enroute to the casino and had to pull off the highway and we had to wait for another bus. (the other people in the shuttle). by the time i finally got to my hotel and checked in for my free nights at the first place i was going to be staying at, i was dead tired and i also went and got some food because there was a fridge in the room, which surprised me. 

then i found out later the toilet wouldnt flush and it took forever for them to have maintenance fix it. also i found out i was in a room with connecting doors (which i always fear because i think people can pick the lock next door) and also there wasnt an in room safe like most rooms have. 

this is why, after i won that jackpot, i immediately got a safe deposit box behind the cage and locked up my money there except for a few thousand to carry on me. i wouldve been a lot better locking up everything but a few hundred. 

i havent had any luck at all in poker. the first day (before i won the jackpot) i lost $224. then i went to a different casino the other day and lost there too. i only remember 1 or 2 winning sessions of poker and they were both small. and then i spent $100 on a massage for 40 minutes plus the tip. its why i was down (includes the $100) $459 when i left the poker room and eventually lost $3100 that night trying to get even. most of the losses were on video poker and 6-5 blackjack on the machine. i am an idiot. because im actually ahead on the trip for live blackjack, won a little over $200 twice playing live blackjack. 

i dont much care at all for live blackjack in reno because i cant find a good shoe game at a room im not banned from playing blackjack in (about 4 places in reno). although they dont have any objections to me playing either machines or poker. and the few places i can play live blackjack in  i have lot of room comps offers. i only know 1 decent blackjack game with a 6 deck shoe in reno that i can win at and like. 

in vegas, theres multiple good blackjack games. circa, the D, the golden gate, the Palms, the stratosphere, etc. all of which have a low $10 or $15 minimum and pay 3-2 on the 8 or 6 deck shoes. 

so i found myself playing double deck blackjack tonight, which of course i have zero experience in, despite the fact i supported myself the last 30 years by counting cards and playing poker. my eyesight for small print is much worse than it used to be, and i remember over 20 yrs ago when i had better than 20-20 vision. 

so i couldnt hardly read the sign, so i walked to the side of the table next to some rich guy betting 3-4 black chips and i was trying to see if it paid 3-2 and the rules were for doubling down, surrender, etc. and the guy told me the minimum was $50 and i said that wasnt what i was trying to see and shouldnt be what he cared about seeing either. it took a minute or so to read the sign because i was turned sideways, and he grabbed his phone off an empty chair and didnt like me standing that close to him. im sure he thought i had no money and would leave with the high minimum. 

now u all know how i (and Jesus) feels about rich people. and how the Bible says theyre obligated to take care of the widow and the fatherless and the poor, instead of having the government do it for them. 

so i in the 3 hands noticed it was double deck (i first assumed it was single) and i also noticed since it was double instead of single there was no sign banning mid shoe entry. and id also noticed the count seemed to be pretty good as many low cards were coming out and i thought maybe this is why the guys betting big. i had seen 3 hands, but didnt notice his bet on the first 2 hands. 

so i jumped in, mid shoe and laid down a few hundred bucks and some odd bills and bought in $179 with a stack of $100s underneath. i put out 2 spots of $75 and the dealer immediately told me if i played 2 hands i had to bet $100 each, so i broke another $100 and bet 2 hands of $100 each. 

i half expected he would demand i wait til the shuffle. but maybe he really wasnt counting. 

and there was also one more player there too, in first base, and i was in second base and he was in third. 

so with a true count of plus 4 or higher, (at least for the few cards i seen) with a running count of plus 8 or more i ended up winning both hands and left the bet out one more time in the hopes i could also win a second hand and have back all id lost in poker. 

i lost the second hand and said i shouldve quit when up. then the dealer shuffled. since the whole table won on the first hand when the dealer busted (and its a good thing, i had 12 and 13) i commented to the guys how me coming in gave the dealer a 4, and had him bust. 

on the first hand of the new shoe i again bet 2 hands of $100, because im paranoid the staff will know im counting if i do anything funny on a double deck. so they dont suspect if u keep the same big bet out on the first hand of a new shuffle. 

luckily i won the hand and the count this time was hugely negative. so i said this time im not going to make the same mistake, will quit while im up and be out of their hair. and the guy didnt look happy i was leaving after one hand, so maybe he was counting and didnt want to play out a heavily negative deck.

so that recovers $200 of the nights poker loss, but not enough to get me even. this is why i should play live blackjack and not 6-5 on the machine just to earn points and play a lot smaller stakes to be able to martingale. 

and the floor of course had no idea i was counting. ive given back a lot of the jackpot i won the other day by playing other games instead of live blackjack. 

the jackpot, which was for $9146, was won on a game called fu dai boost with bags of jewels, and i only played because someone left it with 2 bags full. ive never ever hit the major on it all the times i played it so it was really weird i hit the grand without ever hitting the major. 

im pissed i had my 30k back to 40k after hitting the jackpot and now im only at $35900. i waste money like crazy with lousy luck at poker and terrible discipline in playing the wrong games. a ton of money was lost on big split poker too. and thats what made me over $2500 the previous trip to reno. still im better off than i was when i left vegas. 

A story of how i almost got ripped off for about $3000 on airbnb. (but airbnb made it right). never had a problem there all my previous trips

 it was a busy friday and saturday weekend, and prices were constantly going up. for example, if i had booked a few days ahead, i couldve got a room at the el cortez for under $100 a night, (before the resort fee and tax that is). but at the last minute close to midnite on saturday, the MGM was over $900, westgate was over $600, and even main street station was over $430. even arizona charlies was no longer available and thats often a reasonable and safe place to stay on weekends. the stratosphere used to not be so overpriced, but not anymore and their resort fee went way up. 

and i couldnt check into my free room until sunday, (where im staying now as i write this sunday and monday june 24-26.) at first they wouldve gave me a friday rate of $176 and a saturday rate of $294, including tax and resort fee, but at the last minute it was over $580. so i course i didnt go that route. 

I ended up staying at vinces house, against the wishes of his dying girlfriend whose got liver cancer really bad. it was because of her not wanting me to stay at vinces house and me losing my place to live i wrote that blog entry years ago that got me arrested and banned so many places because i was more stressed about money then that now because i was down under 15k. 

vince also had his friend Jay staying overnight who was helping him with a manual labor job he was doing for a friend. i was in vinces room on the floor, and Jay was on the couch in the living room, and vince was in his bed, and Lisa was in her own room. (the 2nd private bedroom at vinces house i one time rented from him years ago). 

but i really didnt want to do that, and wanted my own place. and i didnt want to pay the surcharge for paying just for those 2 nights instead of a whole month. also because as u know i always want a place with a decent kitchen fridge and microwave. even a shithole siegel suites has that. 

when u play poker for a living and have no other income for your disability unlike all of those who collect disability and lie to the government (such as old people do) everything in life is about the number of buyins u have and u can never run out, because being unable to ever have a job due to the nature of the disability, u will be on the street penniless and begging for the rest of your life til u die. 

so it all depends on the number of buyins u have. a buyin is $100 in a normal no limit holdem game, sometimes if u are lucky, its also the buyin for an omaha game instead of $200. the only people buying in for more than $100 are those who are heavily stuck and have no other choice, and a bunch of far left elitest snobs who think theyre better than anyone else and so they buyin for the table max. in the Bible Jesus makes it very clear how much he despises those types of people and how if they dont sell everything they have and give it to those with less, they wont ever go to heaven when they die. 

in a fair and just society, those buying in for more in $1-2 $1-3, or playing $2-5 and $5-10 would pay the rake for the entire room and the tips too. no one should have to tip who only buys in $100 and plays the smaller games, but i do waste about $15,000 a year on tips like a fool

i had over 430 buyins when i left reno, and now im down to about 290 buyins, and thats not enough to live on and survive off without a friend to live with whose got a house or a car. what i need is a rich person to donate me an RV to live out of, and to park it near a poker room somewhere in the US. 

who ever thought a guy could make it at poker with as little as 290 buyins? it cost about 30-40 buyins a month just for rent, food, transportation and misc expenses. u would go broke in about 6-7 months with this little money since u have no income coming in. 

now i do admit, that as long as u martingale your buyins, u will win over 75% of your sessions, but still the losing sessions are much larger amounts than the winning ones so its not easy. 

and with the martingale, 290 buyins might only be 29 buyins. 

someday ill probably end up back in texas, and i need Bart to still honor that stake when i do. 

but not wanting to pay all that money for that weekend, i was looking at airbnb and i tried to take a place for a little less than 2k for a month, but when i tried to book it, it said it was too late that night to book it. so i went looking at the next few places and thought id found a great deal when i seen the grandview across the street from south point for a little under 3000 for a whole month. 

i didnt bother to read the reviews of the host because i knew the grandview was a decent and nice place and i thought this will save me a lot of uber fares. but i shouldve. the lady renting it out has about 60 reviews, about 50 of them are very bad, and are people complaining they had to get airbnb to refund their money. 

i do see a few others renting the grandview for a much higher price, without the bad reviews.

and of course, once it was booked, the host never contacted me back, never told the grandview i was checking into the timeshare they own there, and neither would they contact airbnbs support line who was trying to help me check in when i got no word from the host who rented it to me. and the grandview knew nothing of it when i tried to check in. but they would hold my suitcases a few hours while i tried to resolve it. 

so i waited at south point poker room, and thats where vince met me later on and we picked up the suitcases when airbnb cancelled it for me and refunded the money, although its tied up in transit for 5 days or so enroute back to the same debit card with bank of america. 

its a good thing that money wasnt everything i had. for some people it mightve been. they did give me a $200 ticket for my troubles to use off the price of my next reservation. i dont know why they let that host still keep a listing on airbnb for her other places. 

normally, unless theyres a serious issue things arent refundable on airbnb. this is how hosts are protected from people who change thier mind. had my money not been tied up, i mightve just flown out that night but i still didnt know if i could get my refund so i hung around until vince came and by that time airbnb had refunded it when they couldnt reach the host either. 

$66 is NOT 25% of $440 minus a $4 rake.

 if anyone is wondering why im back in vegas, its because i only went as far south as Laughlin, and i didnt want to ride an 8 hour bus transferring in Flagstaff to get to Phoenix when its only a 4 hour trip by car. (by car u dont go thru flagstaff, only by greyhound). but i couldnt get lightning36 to drive up to Laughlin. so i rode back up to vegas with Bobby from twitter who drove for Uber in vegas though he lived in Laughlin, but he wont be doing so any more since he and his wife are moving to elko this week for a better paying job. 

you will surprised to hear this, but since ive got no where else to go and it looks like ill be paying much higher prices for a place to stay than i used to almost anywhere in the entire country, ive got half a mind to stay in vegas and pay $2000 for an airbnb (which is still far less than the $3673 i paid for home2suites for a month). ive run out of casino room offers in vegas, although i could get a small number of room offers again if i went to reno. 

resorts is still a great poker room to play in when u are getting about $5 an hour in free slot play on top of the $1.50 in points per hour. the reason im still getting this from the glitch in the system theyve been working on fixing is because i played slot machines a lot in August of the previous year, so the system just assumes im playing slots. and thats why 95% of the people in the poker room at resorts arent receiving anything except the $1.50 in points per hour.

there is a big difference between $1.50 an hour, and closer to $7 per hour. 

i dont know what could be causing this new health issue, but here lately ive been feeling weird pain in my upper shoulders and arms right below the neck when i turn it just started a week or 2 ago. feels like something i would guess authoritis would feel like. 

since congresswoman marjorie greene has about 1 million followers any interactions with her tweets seem to make my notifications on twitter explode, like the few hundred ive gotten in the last 24 hours since commenting on one of her posts. she is one of the political figures i most admire, others being tulsi gabbard, ronald reagan, and michelle bachmann.

i have played so little live BJ in either the D, circa, or the golden gate this month im surprised i was able to get 1 more day added to my stay but i guess since its a slow thursday and prices dont go way up until friday and saturday this weekend. i won $16 one day, $168 one day, and lost about $60 the final day. 

and even with last nights poker win of about $600 between both poker rooms, im still below $30k

i left resorts earlier than usual yesterday (about 2 and a half hours in) because i was only in the game for $100 and i had it up to $464 and after losing so much the previous day in omaha, i needed a profit desperately for mental health reasons. but being way too early to go to bed, i rode a taxi to resorts. (probably not a good idea to pay $10 so u can hit and run and sit with $100 in the long term) but if u have a tendency to no longer play your best with too many chips in front of u, it could very well be. the only reason my cab was $10 instead of $8 was because i so happy my driver didnt try to take advantage of a tourist (possibly in his eyes) by slipping out industrial to sahara to the strip and then back onto las vegas blvd, (a far more costly way) he went the right way, straight out onto las vegas blvd and right up to sahara. so i told him how much i appreciated his honesty. many drivers wouldve tried to con a tourist who didnt know any better. so i tipped him $2.35 instead of the 35cents i wouldve normally tipped on my $7.65 fare. 

the game was advertised on bravo as $5 bomb pot but actually it was $10 bomb pot and full, so i sat in the $1-2 NL instead. and i managed to win just over $100 in it before it broke an hour or so later. 

$100 to no cap is a smaller buyin than usual for $10 bomb pot game, but i sat with $100 and decided to see what i could do and knew id need a hand quickly. a small stack might have a slight edge in being able to play hands they otherwise cannot. 

i lost my $100 twice but i recovered on my 3rd $100 and eventually cashed out and quit with over $500 after a big pot. 

now to discuss the title of this blog. early on i was down to $70 preflop. (after posting my $10 ante) so there were 8 or 9 of us in for a $10 ante (not sure of exact number) and i went allin on the flop with a hand i normally wouldnt since i was only in good shape on one board. 5 people including me stayed in so the dealer who was the floorman put $350 in the main pot which meant the main pot was either $430 or $440 minus the rake of $4 (smaller than the $5 rake at resorts).

i got 25% of the pot when i rivered a full house and another guy rivered the same full house, and someone else won the other board. and first the dealer did all the side pots. some drunk guy who wasnt at all familiar with bomb pots was sitting on my right who owned a club in atlanta. he had come in to play NL. but he had a lot of money and decided to sit. and the dealer had been getting confused because he kept talking and wanted people to help him out annoying the dealer. 

after the hand was over and as the dealer was dealing the next hand, i noticed i had only $66 and im thinking surely i shouldve won something on the main pot even getting quartered. and if the pot was $440, i was supposed to get $110, and slightly less if the pot was $430 or $426. 

i immediately pointed it out and the floormans expression looked like he thought i could have a point but the guy next to me who didnt like me on the other side of me next to the dealer from texas card house in dallas who said hes been playing omaha for a living since he was 17 and had so much cash he tipped the cocktail waitress $100 swore the pot was split right, and said i was too dumb to know math. i thought he either was a big time liberal who hated me because of my political views or else hated me since i kept buying in $100. 

his friend backed him up who left the game a few hands later and bummed $100 of him, and another guy in the middle of the table said the dealer split the pot right too, but as we can see mathamatically, that would be an impossibility. the guy next to me had been telling the dealer a lot how to split the pots and tried to get the dealer to run it faster. (the floorman who was flustured). and the floor said even if it was done wrong, it was too late to do anything about it now since he was on the next hand. then he insisted we stop arguing about it or the next person to discuss it would have to go. he was also saying that to the guy on the other side of me whod kept arguing with a guy also on another hand. (told them both to quit arguing or theyd both have to go). 

with $436 or $426 in the main pot, and i get 25 percent of it, for me to get $66 is mathamatically impossible and u would think anyone at the table whod been honest wouldve recognized it instantly. and i do remember the dealer gathering up the $350 and adding it to the main pot when 5 of it put in $70 on the flop. 

here is what i think happened. seat 1 (i am in seat 8, between seat 7 and 9) who had the big end of the pot, and seat 3, who also had 25 percent of the pot, after the side pots were finished, seat 5 told the dealer to give seat 1 half, but i think the dealer had already given seat 1 half. so the dealer gave seat 1 half twice (and surveillance video couldve proved as much had gaming looked at it) which meant seat 1 got 75 percent of the main pot. so the 25% me and seat 3 both got ended only being 12.5% each. this might explain why i got only $66. although then i think id have got even less, so maybe the money in the side pots accidently got mixed in the main pot somehow and split up somehow wrongly. i wish i wouldve paid a lot better attention but everyone was talking and telling the floor what to do who isnt usually a dealer but behind the desk. 

which could mean both me and seat 3 got less than we were entitled to. and seat 1 got far more. 

tomorrow im either going to need to catch a flight somewhere or book a place to stay in vegas. maybe ill just pay big money for both friday and saturday since i do have a free room coming sun and monday at the tuscany and $25 free play there if i stick around thru the weekend. 

rooms thru airbnb with a kitchen suite are now available at the palms place over the casino for $3200 a month including all fees. i guess a lot of them were rented by wsop people and thats why they arent all full like they were the previous month or i wouldve booked one of them instead of the motel i took in June. 

and of course theyres other airbnbs too for under 2k or close to it, including one southwest a few miles of southpoint that looks safe enough and a couple closer to decatur, torrey pines and flamingo areas. im scared to book anything in the area between paradise and maryland parkway, and sahara and twain. thats a horrible area as far as apartments for rent are concerned. 99% percent of the people living in those places are probably homeless people high on drugs who do nothing but smoke weed and meth all day long. at least it looks that way walking down the street. 

Leaving Las Vegas

 well its good to finally be out of the one place i dont belong in since i cant increase my bankroll there. although maybe if i wouldnt have way overpaid $3673 for a months stay at the home2suites by Hilton at 755 Sierra vista for a month i mightve still had more cash on me today. at least i had a nice fridge and could cook in the room and they serve a large big breakfast in the morning instead of the junk some places were doing when the virus was still going on. 

also i couldve increased my bankroll a lot more had i not lost $4300 on live blackjack my first day in vegas waiting to check into my room downtown for 4 nites and $3000 in online blackjack over 2-3 sessions in my hotel room a couple weeks later. or maybe if i wouldve not lost $1700 one day on video poker in resorts. although i didnt win a lot of my poker sessions, with all these other losses and only being down about 11k of what i came to vegas with, and spending another $1500-2000 on food and Uber while in vegas, i think i won at poker. otherwise i dont think id still be over 30.

now im living free of charge, (at least until Michelle starts making me pay for rooms at my hotel) and most of my "uber" charges are $5 water taxi rides or $8 regular cab rides. and the poker NL $1-2 goes everyday now but sometimes its a bad game, and sometimes its a long wait for a seat. and sometimes it dies early a little after midnite or 1 instead of lasting til 4-5am. and my expenses basically went down to zero unless u consider the $125 Uber from vegas to here. 

i think they get more business because the other poker room in town up the road is struggling and is now closed on tuesdays and wednesdays. 

and somehow overall, im still up over $1000 on the dealers angels VBJ machine, although im down on poker here. but i still have slightly more than i came to town with. 

ive made some funny plays on the VBJ, because the other day the count just would not go positive for many shoes no matter what and i wanted to recoup some of the money i lost in the NL game up the street. so I had a bet of $1 each on 5 spots the first hand out after the shuffle and the running count hit plus 6 and the dealer had an ace up. i wanted to play my hands normally and correctly (by hitting) but then the first positive count in about 100 shoes wouldve gone away possibly. (and before i could have a chance to finally make my first huge size bet). so i stood all 5 hands so the count would remain over plus 4. i dont normally stand on totals of 6 10 11 14 and 17 against an ace for the dealer. and of course it caused me to lose all 5 hands for $5

and then on my next hand i bet $275 divided up among 3 of the 5 spots and won the bet thank God. 

the things people do when theyre counting cards at blackjack which they would never do otherwise, would amaze people. and im sure most of u wont think thats the right play. it probably wasnt to be honest. i just wanted to make a big bet was all. 

made a lot of funny plays at poker too. there is a promotion of red aces cracked that pays $150 or $300 on certain hours and less otherwise. im in a loose table and i finally get dealt 10 10 preflop. a bunch of limps and i bet $25 in late position to finally get a hand HU with a shot to win. it gets folded around and the last guy makes it $50 and i find it odd he didnt originally raise and ive got the image of a nit. 

im thinking he was slow paying aa to get them cracked and i call. flop comes all cards 9 or less and i call his bet forget the amount, i think a little under the pot size. 

turn comes 2 and again i check, and he checks along so finally i know im ahead. river comes A and he has A4 offsuit and i pay off his $50 bet. if i shove the turn he likely folds. 

and then later on ive got the same 10 10, and he has 22 and we both get it allin on the flop or preflop (i was tired by then and shouldve left but it was a wild game then. a drunk lady and her boyfriend had sat) about the best game id seen. again the flop was 9 high. and the turn and the river were 22 to give him quads. 

i think that was the night i left stuck $405. the biggest loss i had this week in that room. 

how well does anyone know the poker player Shannon violette (Cyndis daughter) and is she broke? she keeps sending me weird DMs on facebook messenger wanting money to play. i wouldnt know her in person if i seen her since im bad at faces. 

i have no idea where she lives what casino she frequents or what form of game she prefers to play. 

Lightning offered to pick me up at the bus station if i came to phoenix to bring me to my hotel or the casino, but i dont really want to make a 6 hour ride thru flagstaff and i cant find a flix bus out of laughlin or bullhead, those destinations dont come up on their website. i think id just as soon return to vegas for only $19 compared to the $38 for Phoenix. and maybe the voucher koala gave me would work. i havent tested it. at least in vegas i could fly out of the airport to texas Burlingtoniowa, reno or detroit. 

continued WSOP trip report part 3 which includes friends

 well i guess i wont be going home early. my reservation for 4 weeks on Priceline thru July 8th i tried to get out of a week early and the manager was willing to let me and refund me $857 of the $3673 i paid, but Priceline refused to agree to it when she contacted them. so it was unable to be changed, so ill be in town another week now. im trying real hard to make sure i dont get out of vegas with a bankroll under 35k. 

lightning and koala are leaving town either tonight or in the morning, and lightning was going to the airport when i left the westgate a little while ago and i went on back to my hotel. Koala has a 15 hour flight he dreads in the morning. Koala also gave me a $34 voucher for a flix bus that i can use anywhere they service. (maybe toledo detroit?)

and the day before lightning and a guy named zetus larry on twitter who reads my blog and lives in louisiana and i were playing at the redrock, where the game is horribly tight in the 1-2 although the 2-5 looked wild. lightning told me today someone stole the catalac converter off his friends car and i dont really understand what it does since i dont drive, but its supposedly a real problem. i wonder if Ray know what its used for

and today something weird happened at the westgate. a guy swore he knew me from detroit about 8-9 years ago. said i used to turn in bottles and cans at his cousins store. it couldnt have been me, and maybe it was Ray or his friends and he seen me with them at the casino. this sounds like something Keith or Todd wouldve done. if i ever did that in the old days when i was homeless and panhandling in toledo it wouldve happened in toledo, not detroit. and wouldve been 30 yrs ago, not 8-9

he also said he seen me at greektown which couldve been true, but i certainly wouldnt be who hes thinking of if a guy was bringing in cans and bottles in detroit. 

so now ill need more food again. lightning and i stopped at the store on the way home from redrock so i could buy food and he was originally going to drive for the guy who was drunk so he wouldnt get stopped but he isnt nearly as drunk as vince is when he drives home and he drove home just fine. 

i thought that was nice of him but i didnt like the text he sent Ray when he grabbed my phone. lightning must of been offended that Ray thought it would be a good idea to pray Koala had good health. 

ive not played any live BJ recently because of the time i wasted $1000 on 6-5 machine in resorts and $2000 more online blackjack. but live wouldve been a better game with better odds.

we all know online poker is rigged, maybe online BJ could be too? i went all in on a flop of 774 with AA and i also raised preflop a guy called me post flop and preflop with K9 offsuit. turn and river KK to knock me out. this wouldve been mathamathecally impossible in a game where he couldnt see the entire board ahead of time. i dont understand why people waste time hooking up bots in only $1.50 tourneis. 

and also i lost a big pot in $2-5 the other day which i never play unless im stuck and dont feel at ease in but i wish i had more time playing it. for a guy whose only income is from poker for 30 years, i dont play high enough. 

i raised preflop and some lady called with Q6 suited and hit a flop of 10c7c3c and i had aa with one being a club. so i couldnt fold on the flop when she raised. cost me my whole stack. 

ive seen very little of vince since hes so busy working the wsop, but he was originally going to put me in a southpoint tourney since hes loaded with cash. 

almost any city in the US is unaffordable due to inflation and will only get worse if we dont start producing and buying russian oil. i seen prices about 3k and more for spokane if i wanted to visit for a month and all of montana too. only place affordable is texas. and i hate paying time rake. 

although its clear the rapture will take place soon as wicked as this worlds getting, i think it wont happen til after the november election since Trump was promised by God 2 terms. 

wsop vegas visit continued trip report

 I suppose what most of you are wondering is why im still in vegas, when vegas is always where my bankroll starts rapidly disappearing. I originally stayed because of the all bomb pot $5 game on tuesdays at 4pm, but its not really that good a game, and is much harder to win in than in texas. for one thing, theres no casual losing players in vegas at this time of year. its nothing but all wsop pros, and worse yet, a lot of them are Euros. so the games are bad here and very good in all other cities in the USA with all the pros gone to vegas. 

in texas a lot of bomb pot players are people only playing 1 per dealer change instead of every hand, and are a lot less experienced with bomb pots. and its causal players. in vegas, a lot of them are much higher limit players stepping down in stakes to play it. (such as the $5-10 NL player who wanted to sit in $1-2 PLO today, which didnt go). but the previous 2 nights we had no problem getting PLO going. people who signed up for it here said they came here because the Wynn had like 43 on the list and they knew theyd never get seated there. 

i even considered signing the list for 5-5 PLO just to be able to play it although id hate the $500 min buyin, but that didnt go either. but i saw 9 names at one point. but there were 19 on the $1-2 Plo when only 3 of us showed up. 

yeah the rolls going down all right. i think i had about 43k or more when i first flew out of reno on May 30th. and my room is good here til July 8th. and ive barely got not much more than $37k

the second question u are probably wondering is why would i pay over $3600 for a place to stay for a month with a decent kitchen?

well its like this, ive never had a nice place to stay in my life, and this is the first time ive ever paid this much for a place to live for a month, and yes even with inflation, i couldve got a place for over $1000 a month less thats not quite as nice but still safe. but im so used to throwing it away in vegas anyway on previous visits on vbj and vp and live bj i figured it would be a better use of the money than those things would be. 

as highly skilled a poker player as i am for so many years i definitely feel like i deserve it too. 

my only regret is i wont spend any money to visit a massage parlor in vegas, i still feel like the money is way too valuable to spend on anything i dont have to. although i did spent money today buying books and tshirts because im too lazy to wash clothes. 

and i also regret the fact the woman vince and i met in reno got rid of her twitter and went back to washington. that wouldve been a really nice girl to fall in love with and spend time traveling with like she wanted me to, but me and a few friends of mine were wondering what her motives truly were to want me to do this, but she actually gave me $100 to show her how to play video blackjack when i first met her, so i dont think shes as hurting for money as my friends think. plus she spent money at ross buying me a few clothes. 

she even thought about traveling the USA with mickey. she loves traveling. and mickey crimm doesnt even know it. 

im playing far less of the games i shouldnt in the casino on this trip and a lot more poker. and i think it might be because my hotel rooms no longer in the casino so i dont play as much BJ. 

i definitely made a mistake not buying large size trash bags at walmart. i need them bad but dont want to pay $25 in 2 trips round trip to buy some. 

i might be running out of money and making not much of anything but if i spent $5000 a month and made only $4500 a month it would still take me 72 months (6 years) before id be out of money. this is why having a bankroll is important. 

Joe the attorney or ex attorney from nugget and peppermill who now runs home games told me not to tell anyone how much money i keep, because he said id be surprised how much bigger my bankroll is than most poker players or the guys in his home games. its amazing how many people who put a couple k on the table have only 5 or less buyins to their name and are so deeply in debt theyre committing crimes to not be on the street. to me they look like theyre extremely privledged to buyin for so much but to me everyone else is privledged because they dont have autism and are able to drive. 

since everyone else plays 2-5 and 5-10 theyre privledged compared to me too. but how can anyone stand having to be forced to move out of seat 2 to seat 5 when called for the must move? i could never play a higher stakes game since they have must moves which 1-3 doesnt have. and who would want to play with blue $10 chips instead of fives, twenty fives, and hundreds?

if someone wants to make a lot more than they can make in $1-3 NL but doesnt have the 50k minimum required to start moving up to $2-5 NL, all they have to do is switch to plo. then a good player could probably make 100k a year instead of 60k. i cant because i dont get to play it everyday. 

its a lot easier to make 6k a month than 3k a month than it is to lower your living expenses from 5k a month to 3k a month. inflation and people who vote demonrat are hurting poor people immensely

Ray thought with me in vegas id be spending all my time with friends. its amazing how little ive seen of vince and koala. vince is busy working and koala got the covid although he at first swore it was the flu instead, and he just recently got over it. so he was keeping to himself. 

Las Vegas trip report

 well even though i know i dont belong in vegas, and my roll has went down quite a bit since leaving reno, in a way im glad i came because i got to spend some time with close friends i dont get to see often. 

i lost $4300 in one day at blackjack, and $1800 in 1 day at video poker, but ive had some good days too, including a $1900 poker session in bomb pot PLO. 

and so far i still havent been charged for a hotel room, although that will end soon. 

i need to find a way to block myself from playing online blackjack though or at least block myself from using cashapp to buy bitcoin for gambling purposes. 

and at least Vince finally went by a walmart so i can have food items in my room. its annoying to not be able to eat when i wake up, but have to walk across the street to mc d in the plaza to buy food. 

Koala is also staying at the same hotel for a few days in a room about 15 feet down the hall. 

at least las vegas has an all bomb pot double board omaha game now even though its currently only going on tuesdays. we are trying to get it to go more often. its at resorts world. 

the meetup game at sahara i went to on may 30th had like 2 tables going and lasted a few hours. mostly everyone showed up who had originally signed up. tatude also showed up and count everything showed up. 

if someone has decent money and doesnt mind paying $3500 or more per month for a place to live, theres nice condos in the palms with kitchens available on airbnb. i think its more than i can afford but at least u would be safe. 

Koala will be here til the end of the wsop, i might not be. 

I was glad to be able to ride with lightning a few times, i was worried i might not be able to. and the Palms has the best games and rules (surrender is permitted) on 8 deck 3-2 low stakes blackjack games and even better rules in the high limit room. 

Lake Tahoe trip report

 theres some decent action poker games here in Lake Tahoe, even though they only have 1 poker room left and its not open all 7 days of the week. (what i mean by that is the players are loose enough and bad enough) and theres a very good rule that bans the button straddle which ups the win rate because it causes more people to straddle UTG. 

ive recovered about $2000 in the last couple weeks from poker of the huge video poker and live BJ loss i had when i first moved into an airbnb here for a month and my airbnb will be ending in almost 2 more weeks. 

I am never going to rent an airbnb again in a place i cannot play poker every day, and am limited to playing 5 days a week. maybe ill go to dallas even though i worry the city will shut down the poker rooms, simply because they are now doing all bomb pot PLO games in more than 1 room now and im tired of so little PLO in this area. (none in town). 

theres enough room in this airbnb for like 3 people to live here and all be alone by themselves with plenty of space, too bad im not around other people i trust to cut down on the horrible inflation costs. 

im still carrying around a new laptop ive never used and cannot refund because i dont have it in the original box or the receipt and the only reason im not using it is because everything is auto saved on the old one including the passwords. they are saved in google chrome. would they automatically transfer over even if the old one gave out for good like i thought it once did? i wish i knew. i was relieved when i got the new phone and found out i really hadnt lost all my contacts. 

Tatude came up to visit and we played a little poker, but he hadnt played any in a long time. most of the time was spent talking to old ex employees who used to be in his line of work. he was forced to take the vax to keep his job and then got sent to the emergency room and almost died from a bad reaction to the vax so hes no longer working, but with the huge pension hes getting he will never need to. hes also seeing about finding a lawyer to see if he can sue. 

i think ill leave soon but i dont know if ill be at the meetup in vegas. anything could happen. i could go back to reno, to dallas, to toledo, to seattle, to denver, etc. 

i keep winning a lot of money with hands like 22 and flopping 662 and holding 66 and flopping QQ6 etc and they keep holding up. 

i dont really understand why people slow play those hands. better to come right out betting so u dont get counterfeited and make a shit ton of money out of people holding hands like QA

and theres a lot of people here wearing masks who dont need to this being so close to california, im actually living in california. found out today theres a $32 city bus into sacramento daily, i didnt know that. i only knew about the airport shuttles to reno. 

and the price of food is outrageous and so is the cost of Uber here. even the grocery outlet is far more expensive than the grocery outlet store in reno. 

i wish i could stop myself from buying and selling bitcoin constantly for online gambling and taking wild swings of a $1000 plus playing video BJ online. but overall im holding my own. i cant qualify for 10% cashback yet on weekly losses because im still in profit for the month. 

Im also out of books again because i didnt buy enough books in reno. i thought 5 would last longer than they did. 

reno trip report

 Since coming to reno to meet and hang out with Vince, i have been very blessed financially, and its not because ive been sticking to poker, since i have not. i can only guess its from God, because the Bible promises us that he will bless those who stand on the side of the nation of Israel and curse those who oppose the Jewish people. 

i arrived with $34,300 and now about 2 or 3 weeks later, i am at $43,500. one thing thats helped is only having to pay hotel charges 5 days in the last 3 weeks and never once over a weekend. Cutting out hotel charges is quite simple if u play games like machines and blackjack instead of just poker. for example, go into a casino and bet $3000 on live blackjack, and then go into a different casino and bet $3000 on live blackjack. i guess u could even do it on craps, or on sucker games like roulette which pokerluckbox likes. one bet will win and one bet will lose over the long run, and whichever casino the bet loses in, theres your free place to live. 

and ive had wins at live poker, i can think of 2 in the GSR for over $800, one in the silver legacy for over $800 and one in the peppermill. but ive lost my last 2 PLO sessions and my last poker session in GSR. ran into Jaime (Yoshis friend from the mix game which no longer goes) and paid him off when he over bet $250 into a $100 pot with the nut ace hi flush when i flopped a set. 

he says he will send me an invite to his next mix game which he holds in private hotel suites, but i worry he has dealers who know how to fix the deck. he used to at the atlantis in my opinion, for how else would i have lost so often when he draws 5 cards?

ive also bought some great books at Grassroots bookstore in reno which i highly recommend. one of them i read almost in one day and am almost finished. started this morning. 

i am really tired of not having a microwave in my room. no casinos here even have them in the lobby. ive still got 8 hormel compleats which i had in my checked baggage which i got on the plane in lake charles with. at least i finally got my laundry taken care of and i used a pickup and delivery service. 

shame reno doesnt have good deals in condos like tahoe does now that ski season is over and summer hasnt yet started. reno theres no where to rent a place to live outside of the casino

im getting to become very familiar with using in room safes which i used to be scared to use, but since covid theres way less pressure to use housekeeping and no one cares if u opt out til after your trip is over. so im less worried the maid will steal from the room. im carrying so much cash i have no choice. 

Vince is home in vegas but he was here when i got off the plane and he went to look at an rv park but its high cost and they want an rv under 10 yrs old and he doesnt know what he will buy when he gets his in June. 

hopefully he doesnt lose the $132k i saw in his checking account balance i seen between now and then which he got from selling his condo in vegas.

a lot of weird dreams

 i keep going back to sleep and back to sleep for longer and longer periods of time, since i couldnt sleep this afternoon due to my new phone (so much better than my old phone that went kaput) giving me an emergency warning of a tornado in the area. then i started talking to my mother and to Ray. but ive been waking up later and later anyway. often after midnite when the games broken up or about to. 

in the last dream, im on a bus or train (in all my dreams they turn back and forth into both vehicles) and im heading home from a confrontation where a couple of black guys are staring at me from down below on the street after ive gotten into an arguement with some black woman where i am on some walkway outside a business way up high. and im on this bus-train and am on an upper level of it and as i get close to my stop at my home, i see the same guy walking thru it looking for me and i go to hide in the luggage compartment and am lying down sleeping in it, its like a bed, and i dream when he walks by he feels my feet sticking out over the edge, and i woke up screaming. 

before that i dreamed i was paying for the bus fare with a newspaper i used to publish when i was under age 21, along with a quarter to ride the bus, and also i was riding in some policemans car who was off duty and out of uniform and he was trying to avoid the regular police. and then i dreamed i was with my dad, and we were in philadelphia and going by a ton of adult book stores looking for a cheap place for me to live, and i was wondering if hookers were working in those places. 

and then i dreamed i was in some big mall, and i was waiting for someone, and this one guy kept seeing this one girl he used to be with, and i thought maybe she might also be a hooker. and the guy im looking for never shows, and i see a ton of people who dont like this one business owner because he is a good christian with strong old fashioned beliefs about sin, and they are in his ice cream shop without his permission acting like employees but giving out all his merchandise for free, but the customers dont realize this, and just think theyre getting a deal and im watching them dip out icecream with big spoons.

im shocked i left san antonio with only 30500 and im still at 34100. how am i still winning at vbj overall despite quite a few heavy losses, including the 4700 i lost a day or two ago and it was once over 7500 at one point. there have been more wins than losses and remember i was up about 9000 at coushatta mostly at vbj when i left to go to waco on the previous trip. 

now its the next day and im trying to sleep, slept about 6 hours so far and im still having dreams. was high up on this ride at this one casino and im filling out a survey to get 1 million in free play, and its asking me weird questions like do i have any kids and do i need a ride to get back and forth to work and why do i want to work for your company? and the lady goes in the back office to make a phone call and i feel she will find out about my arrest and have me banned. then i read a big sign and about fall over thousands of feet trying to read the terms and its a gimmick, i get $10 in free play every monday for 20 yrs. and my mom is coming to pick me up and ive got to walk down a ladder miles long. and im afraid. 

and then im in a poker room and theres a dealer named Britni and im resting on her to sleep my head like a pillow in my chair in the seat next to me, and some guy who works there tells me to move my head who i think is her boyfriend and i move and suddenly i see its a guy im laying on and she left the table and quit the game without me remembering she left and the guy is actually the dealers boyfriend. so thats why he wanted me to move my head. 

a few days later, after i had a drop in vbj after some winning sessions and after buying both a new phone and a new laptop--and still cant figure out how to use the new phone as a wifi hotspot on the laptop. never had any problems using the old phone. need to go back to the store to have someone see what the issue is because no one here will help even with offers of a $50 tip. im back to 31.5 from 37.7

i wish i was in reno now, because vince is in ely on the way to reno. he also told me the vbj in Ely sucks and pays 6-5. he is on a road trip with his friend to go to his timeshare in genoa NV outside of reno about 40 miles south. 

slept late, and now the 1-3 NL is broken up and its after midnite. so i wont head over to the casino from the rv park until its time to play vbj. ive got a real nice fridge with a freezer in my cabin at the rv park. about a 20 minute walk. yesterday for the first time the game went around the clock all 24 hours. i sat back down at 7am and made the 6th player and it never broke. i lost $941 at poker yesterday then later recovered $242 before i quit, but all the big loss came from vbj. but of course id won it all on vbj in the previous days. after all ive spent on laptops and phones etc and ubers since leaving san antonio, i still have about 1000 more than i left with. i had 30,500 when leaving san antonio

while vince is in reno he told me he would check into what it costs to find an rv park with hookups around the peppermill area to see about parking the rv hes buying in june. but he says it will cost way too much to not park it in vegas. 

dreamed tonight im lying on the side of the highway sleeping and motorcycles are getting way too close to me and im too close to the road. then i see a cat carrying a much smaller cat and its chewing on it and i find it gross and i hit the cat on the head to protect the smaller cat and it drops it. 

and then im with this girl who wants to be my girlfriend and some guy and us are walking thru a field and he says to lie down here and put a blindfold on and i am wondering if he means me or her and im being setup and he says that ALL women love meth and theyre going to do meth. and then some women who look like they do all start approaching and saying hes right. and then some girl much better looking starts saying this is how she started, and hung out exclusively with guys drinking and before she knew it she had a shit ton of kids. and shes mad all the guys 20 years later all suddenly want to be around who didnt want to be around then. 

and then alysia chang is helping me select a christmas card, and i want a ride to the casino but shes going in a restrunt and says shes meeting someone. so im walking about a mile up and i see my mom and shes telling me this motel is the only one she finds affordable and the wall in her room has a bunch of bookcases on it. and i told her you couldve met alysia chang but she said she didnt know she was in town. 

its amazing all the propaganda people keep falling for that are trying to get us into a nuclear war with russia. now theyre claiming russians killed civilians in Bucha. but if u follow the right people online and are in the know you know that civilians wear white armbands to signify they are no threat or support russia and blue if they support ukraine. and the people who died a lot of them have white armbands. and this didnt happen til after azov entered once the russians left. russians arent killing those who arent against them. the neo nazis in the azov group had a video on twitter by a guy called the butcher in which people are saying those guys who dont have blue armbands can we shoot them?

I’ve been a guest writer before and if you’ve followed me for any amount of time you know. If everyone likes it maybe this could become a regular thing.

This Vegas trip I flew in from Seattle on a Wednesday landing at 1pm. I chose that for two reasons. First I’m meeting up with a group of guys for March Madness. Hoops on the strip at Caesars. But reason number 2…O/E tournament at Orleans! This is only a $200 buy in and has a 10k guarantee. My flight via Alaska Airlines was a tic early and I drop my bag in my room at Bally’s and head to Orleans with a friend who is also playing it and lives down there so off we go. On time when I thought I may late reg. Seat 8 is our draw. Immediately seat 5 is our target. This guy is mouthing off to the dealer in level 1 and wearing sunglasses in a limit tournament as well as wearing a T-shirt with the King of hearts on it. In the Omaha8 variant we have AhKh3s5d. Flop is 2 6 Q rainbow. Our sunglasses wearing friend leads out. He has been doing this a lot already and we flat. Turn pairs the 6. Same action. River pairs the Q. Double paired board and I don’t think villain has anything. He bets it, and we…call? Yes. We go with the read that AK is actually good. And…it is!!! Normally I would never do this but white magic.

134 runners. Fun well run tournament. Love the Orleans. Made a deep run just not deep enough. Went cold at the wrong time. Out in about 40th.

Thursday I’m up at 6am and walking the strip by 6:30. Beautiful morning and no one absolutely no one out. Grab a coffee and end up in Miracle Mile shops for breakfast at La Salsa Cantina. They do a breakfast for $4.99! Not bad either. Nothing special but for $5 on the strip. Do not get a drink here. They are tiny and also $5. Pass. We sneak a peek at the convention area inside Paris the new home of the WSOP. Head over for the March Madness party and had a blast. All food and drink provided and made some money on basketball bets.

Friday again up at 6 and out the door. We opt to not wait till 8 for breakfast and hit Paris. Americano Cafe. An omelette was $27. Should have waited. Ouch. Today we hit Resort World for 8/16 mixed game. I play and love mix but this was an odd mix. Stuff I call carnival games. Should have played WSOP circuit event at Bally’s. And it was zero fun. Players weren’t as fun as I remember last time. Should’ve found another game. This game broke early to boot. They knew I’m in town from Seattle. Felt dirty. When I played this previously if you join the game you get to pick a game but now it’s a fixed rotation and only benefits regular players in the game.

A friend reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in her tickets for the Golden Knights game on Saturday. I fly home Saturday at 9:15pm and the game is scheduled for 1. Absolutely yes! Took my friend I played O/E tournament with as he was running me around everywhere and knew he would enjoy it. I’ve been to one Knights game a few years back. Had an amazing time and headed to Juan’s Flaming Fajitas after for dinner pre flight. This place is down Tropicana at about Fort Apache and was fabulous. Great food, service and prices.

Before heading to the airport we have time for one more stop. South Point. First time for me. I like it. Will definitely go again. I like it more than the Orleans.

The return flight home we are flying first class! Nice!

This was a bit of a different trip for me as there wasn’t much poker. And a bit of an eye opener for me or an awakening really.

More on me another time. If you don’t know, I’m a regular guy with a day job, 3 dogs and responsibilities. I play as much as I can as a recreational player. Or rec. or bad reg. I’m trying to get back to Vegas on June 2nd for part of the WSOP. So if Tony will have me, stay tuned. back in san antonio

 after i left Waco, (where the Hot social club on poker atlas is, which i discussed playing at in the previous blog) i got off to a bad start in Austin when the extended stay america wouldnt let me store my luggage while i waited til checkin and most locations across the country have no problem with this. and they couldnt check me in early even if i paid the $70 fee i paid in Waco to check in early. the manager in there at 9am said nothing til in the afternoon and she had a nasty attitude, i guess its because of all the homeless people theyre used to dealing with. i told her id just came up in an uber from waco and i doubt she believed me, and claimed to try the hotel next door. (as usual i hadnt prebooked). so i did, and the laquinta next door charged me $139 a nite which was over $50 more a night. 

at first that lady wasnt going to check me in either, but finally did because she didnt want to hold the bags. she told me they never let anyone check in til after 10, but did it anyway. so already austin was leaving a bad taste in my mouth. 

i slept after checking in and later went to 52 social, and the lodge, and never did get to visit the other 4 rooms in a different part of austin much further away. the lodge has a weird policy of u paying for the time after u play instead of upfront. and they wont give u a free bottle of water. 52 will. also the time is cheaper at 52. both rooms were offering 1-1 plo although i was winning much easier at 52. 

plus the host at 52 named dean got my number and invited me to the hilo game which i joined the next day and was still sending invites once i left town. 

the nice thing about waco was it was an easy walk across the street in a safe area to my hotel but the games there are mostly dead and only go at night. i tried to find a place in austin longer term, but too many places i wanted to stay at by the week or month were sold out that weekend, something was going on in town. so i rode with Jordan to san antonio

paid way too much for a week here in the wrong part of town too far out, but its the safest area of town. as soon as my room ends sunday ive set something up for about $1800 a month in a much closer area to rounders. thats about half the price im paying now. 

Bart thinks he can get me into the livestream when rounders does it next and its a far smaller game here where the $1000 stake would be 2 buyins. or maybe even 3. 

ive never seen it but i play way too late when the big 0 hilo has already broken up or way too early. i dont like playing the busy period because i dont like panhandlers in the restroom setting up tons of candy and mints and bothering u while u are trying to wash at the sink even when u dont want them handing u towels and want to be left alone. get a real job that doesnt involve pestering others for money. bothers me as much as cleaning women in the bathroom. 

the best time to come and play big0 instead of NL is to be there about noon to 5pm. then u can play it for many hours without worrying the game will break up. thats the game thats way too high for my roll with a min buy of 300 and it forces me to hit and run a lot when i get up to 700-900 which i wouldnt have to do when my 100 is up to 300 in a NL game. but i won a lot of the money i won in san antonio last year playing that game. 

i played enough VBJ at coushatta to now have offers of $155 a week but thats not enough to make the trip worth it especially since its sold out a lot of the time id need rooms. i actually thought id played enough for much higher offers. 

i'm really worried about nuclear war, so maybe i should play a little higher. this money wont do me any good if im dead. maybe i should stay in worse motels if im about to die anyway. maybe i should go stay in my moms basement if i didnt hate online poker so much. 

new poker room trip report enclosed

 well its good to be out of coushatta, still up over $8000 on the dealers angels machine without taking any massive losses. about time i found a video BJ machine that i won on. and since i was there over 3 weeks and only paid for a hotel room once (next door at the Best western on a day both the casinos 2 hotels and their cabins in the RV park were 100 percent sold out) thats kind of like a win in itself. the casino is very good about giving comps if u play machines. 

i was there so long, the hotel in Houston where i still had 2 weeks remaining and never returned to, checked me out while i was away. good thing i took anything of real importance with me when i left Houston. 

but as far as good poker in Coushatta? well the NL is very slow during the week and at times wasnt even going, and it dies early. partly due to the fact they wont reduce the rake if the game is jackpot eligible so u pay $5 plus $2 on a short handed table. only on the weekends is the poker good and will last late at night. 

the same young kid named Chaz who i was playing with in shreveport asked me to mention him in the blog so i will. i had QQ went over the top of a $20 blind bet allin preflop for a little over $100 and he called blind with 57 offsuit. the flop comes up 246, 6 turn, and 8 river. i had a lot of bad luck that same night especially with hands like JJ on flops of T54, QQ on hands of flop 732, etc. 

but considering i went there from Houston with only $25,600 and left town with $34k plus i did well. i dont have quite that much now, i paid for a place for a week and the cost to get here. 

im playing poker now in a place ive never played before and the good news is no one here seems to know me, for no one has called me TBC, or mentioned my blog or my twitter. so im able to win at poker again. not a lot but for 2 nights in a row now. 

not only have i not ever played poker here, ive never even been in this city before. 

i do wish the place had a bit more business and i dont like paying $2 for a coffee, but its not too bad a poker room. at least the small blind doesnt have to act first when the button straddles. the game was certainly loose enough though often only 1 table was going, maybe 2. still, i dont think ill hang around once my week ends at my hotel. 

first thing i did when i came to town (besides paying for the hotel and getting some rest was the same thing i always do. (go to a grocery store and buy a weeks supply of food) and i was so glad to finally have the chance to deposit $4000 in a bank of america so i wasnt carrying nearly as much cash as i was in louisiana where there is no bank of america. luckily i did NOT go to canada or use a canadian bank, since ive retweeted the links to where protestors can send donations. (was pressured to by Bill Potts). 

thats a horrible thing for a government to do and this is how Hitler started out in March 1933 when an emergency act was passed in Germany, allowing him to seize the assets of any political enemies. who wants to live in a country where the govt if they dont agree with what u are protesting they can freeze all your assets? im ashamed i ever supported the patriot act under Bush. i sure wouldnt now. 

id still prefer to live in airbnb instead of a hotel but first i need to know where ill stick it out a whole month or more and thats hard to know ahead of time if u will win playing poker in a certain location or not. for why go to where u wont win? also its hard to find an airbnb cheap enough if u want the entire place to yourself instead of just one room, and especially if u are afraid it wont be in a safe area and u dont want to take the owners word its a safe neighborhood sight unseen. 

even though id never prefer online poker to live, im glad to say ive somehow still got about $40 in my bet online poker account, which is about $10 more than what i deposited over 2 weeks ago. 

also whenever Bart Hanson ever leaves california i will be glad to play the stake on the livestream he offered me on twitter but ill probably have to travel once more to austin first to do it. also it seems Grumps friend Jennifer newell is trying to start trouble to cancel my stake. read this thread.

i am still shocked anyone took anything i said literally that many years ago and why some casinos thought i was a threat. also shocked i dont know how to find a good lawyer who can fix the situation and maybe win a suit.

tired of playing poker for a living

 i cant win anymore, and no its not because i buyin for $100 when i sit down. Buying in for $100 is using good money management, because it means i have 289 buyins. i dont like to ever go thru more than 1 percent of my net worth in just one day, so i quit pretty early tonight, played for less than an hour and left stuck about $300

i lost my first $100, then my $145 rebuy, and then about half of my final $100 rebuy. the third buyin i wonder if i played it badly? i had 88 limped in for $6 and a guy makes it $46 and then 4 people called in front of me, so i called too, and folded on the flop. 

my first $100, i had AK and was UTG so i made it $11 preflop since there was only $4 in the pot, the small and the big. the flop comes A56 with 2 diamonds, and the blind comes out betting $50. im allin for $82, and 2 people call. and no matter how much i wouldve sat down with instead of $100 i guarantee id have lost a lot more, as u can see from the hand im describing. 

turn comes 7 of diamonds, the big blind bets $50, im already allin, and seat 9 makes it $100. he calls. river comes 6. guy bets $200, 9 seat calls. the BB wins with 56 suited for a boat, other guy has a jack hi flush. 

no matter how big my stack was, id have never been able to bet them out on the flop or the turn or the river. 

and the other $145, i had QQ and a new young guy had just sat and made it $25 in very early position and i had no idea how he played, and i shouldve reshoved preflop but i didnt want to lose my buyins that quick so i called. guy in seat 4 beside me calls too.

and i let him see the flop with A5 of hearts for $25

flop comes Q63 all in hearts and its checked to me by the raiser preflop and i bet $45. only seat 4 calls. turn comes a 4th heart so i check and he bets me allin and i feel obligated to not fold top set. im already down to about $115 of the $145 before the hand starts. sure enough the board fails to pair up on the river.

i have not won at poker since i left shreveport when Jay drove me to Houston and i wish id have never went back to houston. all i did was waste money paying for a hotel needlessly for a month in Houston. 

just like before i went to san antonio i did not win in houston the entire 2 weeks i was there. i mean i won a few days but not a dime overall. i had more losing sessions than winning sessions. its dangerous playing in legends which is where the place got robbed, and the other clubs have no business or else they take a high rake, much more than a casino would. 

one place i did think i liked better because theres no button straddle i got tossed for a day because i got too mad at the other players and went off because they kept insisted on running it once just to bust me but overall its easier to win there.

and the other place where its much easier to get guys to agree to run it twice ive been losing at too. i miss kings but they just have no business ever since the new owner bought it last year and they started taking a big rake. 

they still have a much better massage girl but she only comes in very late at night. 

so if i cant win in houston any more and i dont care for any of the rooms (new owner of 88 social now called 101) still doesnt do anything to get rid of the cleaning room constantly being in the bathroom when men are using it. i dont know where to go except for 2 possibilities i think id like either the promotions are good enough to where id still win or the rules better so playing there would be less annoying due to policies but i wont mention here what parts of the USA im thinking of . 

i will say if im in a casino where u cant run it twice anyway the players being dicks and telling me no is no longer a factor because then i can feel like they would if they could.

even though i cant win at least 1 guy here feels like im a good player for he walked up to me quite drunk in the casino, told me he won $3300 on live blackjack and offered to back me for $100 since he knows im a good player from watching how i play. so he gave me $100 and told me to only pay him back if i win really big. then he said not to mention his name to the others at the table. 

i am not sure why im winning over $3700 on video blackjack in this place but they have a little bit better vbj and comps from playing it than most all other casinos offer. but remember the last time i was on a decent vbj machine i lost several thousand more than the $3700 im winning here. (im talking about the time i was playing in laughlin) and that final few days i blew over $5000 on the machine at the pioneer.

i feel like it will change anytime though. i had $25,400 when i left Houston and im at $28900 now. i was at $29300 earlier before i lost at poker and a little bit on a very much plus ev wheel of fortune machine similar to golden egypt that i dont see any pros near it. 

im still getting my rooms comped but i fear thats going to end this weekend and ill be charged a bunch. at least ive earned over $100 in comps. 

its very hard emotionally to lose money at poker to people i have zero respect for. dumbasses who wear masks, and cannot think critically. people who have no clue how much ev they lose and money they lose because they wont stop button straddling. and who only win at poker or look like they win simply because they have so many chips and it wont affect their life at all if they lose a few thousand dollar plus buyins in a row. 

i see people making multiple mistakes, and not getting full value for their hands. including a guy with a red beard who looks like the guy who used to call himself the black pimp in the days of tattood in california. 

he raises preflop i called with a4 suited, flop comes ace high and i bet into him being first to act , he called, i bet turn he calls, and the river i check he checks too and he wins with AK and i tell him how bad it was for him to not bet the river. i wouldve called off my last $70 or so and lost. 

i had aa77 with the J on the board as kicker, he played his AK. 

i wouldnt mind flying out of here to a city id like to visit for poker, but i need to deposit cash in my bank first somewhere and im afraid to get on a plane with $5-10k in cash on me. they will seize it. and theres no bank nearby me. 

and of course, im about $4000 more in cash than when i arrived in town. 

this is a far more isolated place to be if nuclear war breaks out between the US and Russia like Biden is pushing for. But i cant stay here forever, i dont think i can get rooms on the weekend without paying a lot, and also i cant win in this small shitty poker room. no matter how great and deep the other players are buying in for. and plus ill lose a small fortune any day now on the vbj machine.
