Trip report

 Well im still not sure if theres a laundrymat around here except for the one in the RV Park, but at least the wifi in my room works really well which is nice after being stuck in my room at the D without it a few days before hand. i will always use my free nites at the golden gate from now on instead of the d. never have problems with wifi there. 

okay now for the trip report. i flew out of vegas the day after playing the meet up game with lightning and Luke at the sahara, where i couldnt win anything and was glad it ended. was really shocked Vince showed up on time for the game. and the next day i won about $700 playing BJ at the D, but that was only when i had a bunch of splits and double downs with a $90 bet out there. 6 bets of $90, all winning when the dealer busted is $540 winners instead of $540 losers and that hand made all the difference. Good thing i know to split 44 v 5 in a good count when doubles after splits are allowed. 

also the same day before i left i played Troopers bomb pot tourney and once i entered i realized the game was holdem instead of omaha. luckily though it didnt cause any issues for me and i still ended up in the chop at the end and got $396 for my efforts. 

i was going to fly to Reno but at the last minute decided to fly somewhere ive never been where i wanted to fly to where so far, ive not ran into a soul who knows either me, or my blog. but instead of a lot of free rooms, im paying like $100 a night. i misunderstood a promotion (i was told it would take at least 1000 points before i could have them see about getting me a room) so thats $2000 thru a video craps (the VBJ was 6-5) and since they cant fuck up the odds on craps like they can on VBJ, i played craps instead. i finally had 1011 points when i got off it hours later, and then they told me my theo was way too low and id need about 3x the play. so there went that free room. i had signed up for a players card for the first time. 

i played poker in a different casino up the road a ways, and the blinds were 2 and 2 NL. $100-500 buyin. anyone could kill it for $4 and then u would have to bring it in for $8, but otherwise u still had to bring it in for $4 instead of limp the $2. was i glad to see theyre doing it the reno and vegas way instead of the detroit and philadelphia way of the small bling acting  first. 

this morning i got stuck over $500 but eventually recovered and left $187 up. the same loose young player whose a regular (everyone lives in the area but me) was raising all the time preflop eventually donated $300 to me when i had AQ and flopped top 2 pair on a flop of AQ2 and he had AJ. the earlier times he calls my allin preflop with AK hearts with J4 of diamonds for over $100 and wins when he hits a 4 on the river. and then when i had JJ the same player put me allin preflop with 67 offsuit and turned a set. and another guy stayed in with 46 suited and busted the set of 8s i flopped on a flop of K85. 

But this evening i wasnt so lucky went back about 10pm to play til 4am after some sleep, and eventually was in the game for $414 and i was down to my last $228 when a lady raised to $27 and one guy called. i shoved my AK and she thought a long time and i thought if she thought that long she certainly dont have too much and would likely fold since i hadnt hardly played a hand. she finally called with JJ. and i said lets show 1 card to make it more interesting, she said ok, and i randomly turned over the K, and then got mad when she refused to turn a card over after saying Ok. i was hoping she would turn over an ace, because i knew she couldnt have aa, so then i wouldnt have to worry about her having a pair. and she makes a full house with the JJ. i never did show the other card and she might still think it was KK instead of AK. 

at least she showed the full boat very excitedly instead of forcing me to turn over both cards before she shows. could been worse i guess.

so i left stuck $414 and got it back on the 3-2 BJ machine next door where i signed up for a card. earned 394 points for the sign up bonus and my loss back from poker. well i earned $412, plus $15. 

sad thing is i dont think i can stay around here long, the poker room is only open 4 nights a week, and my mouth and scalp feel sore constantly due to me never fixing my teeth, slowly deterioting and probably have 15 cavities now instead of the 3 on the other side. also my excema in terrible shape. i need to go to texas or somewhere i can get a steady address and play everyday. 

theres several live BJ 3-2 rooms here with 10 dollar minimum bets.

and i didnt plan this out well. i shouldve stayed near the airport the first nite and rode out to the casinos the following day the Lfyt driver was bitching and moaning about thinking he would only get 30 of the 85 fare, and said i was lucky he didnt leave me by the side of the road, and then almost kicked me out when i mentioned giving another driver a $5 tip which he thought was horrible since id told him id lost over $12k at BJ right before i came. people dont understand the difference between losing 12k and winning 12k had i said that after winning 12k id be the horrible person but after losing 12k, they  are lucky to get shit. and the driver made me uncomfortable saying i should give him some of that. he wanted to cancel once he saw how far i was going and i was afraid of being taken outside of town and robbed. 

when people are autistic so severly they cant learn to drive, the govt should provide free transportation and they should never have to pay a dime. it would be different if they wouldnt severly disabled and could rent a car. the govt doesnt take care of people the way God wants them to. 

Out of Laughlin

 its really good to be out of Laughlin, and id have never went there in the first place except for the fact i was tired of losing money at live BJ and online BJ, and wanted to go back to the machine i knew id won $6000 on the previous time i was in Laughlin. now i can remember many times ive lost on it, but i also know its still the best type of VBJ machine also because it was the same machine they had in the deadwood mountain grand where i won over $8000 on it and was told i couldnt come in and play anymore. 

But this time i lost over $5000 on it, and then even more than that at online blackjack, which is a terrible addiction to have. i thought my 10% percent loss rebate with no playthrough requirement (can be withdrawn in bitcoin immediately) was worth something but it really isnt according to Axel on wizard of vegas, who is kind of an expert in this. and even worse i lost over $3800 trying out a pai gow game on a machine in a place im banned at (but id never been inside before to see what games they offered). but its in Laughlin and owned by dotties., who also owns the hoover dam lodge, so i didnt bother to get a copy of my card. also a few hundred of the loss was on some other game where u swap cards with the dealer that i forget the name of. 

then i wanted out of Laughlin immediately and paid over twice as much to get to vegas as i wouldve paid had i taken the morning airport shuttle. actually over 3x the price. because the only Uber driver wanted an extra $150 for his gas. besides the price on the app and he wanted to go thru the app. most drivers wouldnt do it this way. and even worse, my hotel cost me a lot more than it wouldve had i booked the room 12 hours earlier, or even 6 hours earlier. and i ended up staying at a different hotel than i wouldve took that ended up being sold out. 

i didnt trust myself and i was scared if i went to sleep in laughlin (my room was still paid up til monday morning) (and i was getting tired) id wake up at midnite again, withdraw the max on all my debit bank cards, and lose another 2000 or 3000. 

i hadnt been playing poker in laughlin because i had my hours adjusted to being awake 1am to 8am so i could play the VBJ at the Pioneer all by myself with no one else on it. that and also i dont trust the integrity of the dealers at the riverside because they hand shuffle. a lot of them have known me for years and really hate me, especially Frank and Barry (claudias friend). plus its a horrible game to try and make money in, the rake is $3 plus $3 promo on a $30 pot. 

it felt really strange to be in Laughlin 9 days and to have only played poker once in those 9 days, where i wrote about the hand i went bust on on twitter the one time i played. 

since i returned to vegas (and will stay long enough for the wed meetup game with lightning) i have the $409 cash i arrived with up to $634. but ive spent money out of my bank accounts with Uber, etc. i hate the idea ill probably have to pay huge fees for an ATM again. im used to having 10,000 or more in cash. 

and then i still got to decide where to go. reno, houston or ?

i need to go somewhere either ill have a shit ton more free rooms than i get in vegas or where housing is dirt cheap via motels and airbnb. its been a long time since ive been under 30k. actually i need to figure up my bankroll. ive put it off since i havent done the work of logging into every online bank account to see the newest balance and then adjusting it to its correct totals once all deposits are returned. 

with a small win, i think its probably between 30k and 30k 500 instead of between 29k 500 and 30k. 

at least im not playing any blackjack since returning to vegas. and the $20 i deposited into bet online while in Laughlin to play poker is now up to $44. 

im not seeing as many of the annoyances in casinos as i did right before i left vegas. i see less young people wearing masks (its almost always a guy in his early 20s instead of an old person which is backwards) more women are dressed the way the Saudi Arabian religious authorities want them to dress instead of in a way so morally offensive to the way i was taught as a child is modest, and i see less people drunk and holding up the game, which costs u a lot of money and puts u heavily on tilt. 

shame Dave never cared about meeting me (he said he wont play nothing but omaha and wouldnt come over to play NL said he stopped playing it) he would had to play NL had he played lightnings meetup game next wednesday because its going to be half NL and half PLO. 

a much bigger shame is that vinces house is no longer available for rent if i wanted an affordable place to stay in vegas long term now that im broker than ive been in about a year. i was dumb to move out and now someone he knows whose a dealer has moved in. 

one really important thing i need to be doing is fixing my sleep hours. i cant keep falling asleep about 5pm or so (or ill miss lightnings game) and waking up after 3am. those are the hours to play poker not be asleep if u want to play in the best games.
