Finally in vegas

and still holding onto a roll of $15,500 after a small win today at the wynn and also on a machine. and i had a small win at the commerce before i left of the $600+ id lost the previous day, and the $1400+ id lost in fresno on the way to los angeles. getting off the train enroute to LA wasnt such a good idea and i probably shouldve just went back into reno from Crystal Bay and got a plane straight into vegas.

Feel like i need to see a doctor because of a bump on my forehead that feels infected thats driving me nuts. last time i had one it finally went away, but i worry its affecting my eyesight and i worry its coming from my itchy scalp.

Forgot what day Koala arrives, and i should be seeing Benny Profane this afternoon if im not asleep. I saw stealthmunk and alysia chang this morning at the wynn, but only briefly because they wouldnt let him sit at my table because another table was short and AC couldnt sit there either and no they werent both there at the same time. i was surprised he wasnt in the $10-20 PLO game and i didnt think the game would go since i figured it would be built around him. i did see his bank account balance online on his Ipad of over $400,000 but he claims he owes it all out. i expected him to look far different, and i didnt recognize alysia chang either because shes far better looking than i remembered. The guy i was originally sitting next to at the Wynn was the head coach for a major team in Syracuse.

this is why i seriously need a doctor, to see about any infections and about my eyesight and to make sure im not developing untreated diabetes. anyone had any experience with the doctor on call they send out to the hotels and how overpriced it is? at least then id have time to tell him ALL of my concerns instead of being rushed in and out of an office since id be the ONLY patient. i dont want to waste a ton of time sitting in an urgent care waiting room with 25 others.

i'd never been in vegas if all the motels in the commerce area wouldnt been sold out yesterday for about 20 miles all around when i badly needed sleep. the special olympics took all the available rooms all over town, and the only thing i could do was leave the area. id have preferred to play a little more PLO mix and visit lake elsinore casino where ive never once played. but i had nowhere to go. i didnt even get to play any 20-40 stud. mightve been the only thing that got me to vegas with 15k instead of 10k though.

the real mistake was getting off the amtrak in fresno. wasted money on hotels, (including having a room in fresno and los angeles both the same night since i got the 9pm train out) and just barely made the train when my black uber driver dropped me off as it was saying last call.

the day before i dropped a little the first day in fresno, and played again the following day, where i think i did much worse and probably played worse, losing about $1400. but one hand i got it in good with a set and he had a flush draw for over $360, but then he sucked out after the money was allin on the flop. then another hand i was allin for $120 preflop with QQ to another guys AJ. i was really surprised by 2 things. one u can straddle half ur stack from ANY position (even the blinds) which is similar to the rules at the peppermill.  and 2, there was almost no tables going except pit games. (which i played due to no commission and broke about even).

rob's Vegas poker atlas showed 47 tables. only 2 of them are poker tables going however, much to my disappointment. one $1-3 NL game which didnt start til noon, and a $4-8 game. later on the next day eventually there were 2 games of each and an omaha but later in the day, the vast majority of the time theres only 1 NL game if not a weekend. i even played a tourny the first morning for something to do and didnt miss the money by very much.

after leaving reno and moving out of my room with about $15,800, i went into Tahoe, and briefly had it up to over $18500 on the VBJ. left the biltmore with still over $17,500 after some drawing saturday night. had i not gave back about $700 id have stayed there longer. my landlord in reno said he would gladly rent to me again anytime. if i drop too much i might need to move back. at least i can finally win at the Wynn. they removed the even money machine at the encore that played 7 hands at once and thats just as well. i hope ill also still be able to win on the machine at the El cortez and i hope they havent removed the machine from the Hacienda in Lake mead. maybe Benny will be able to find a new location thats added one.

  1. Thank goodness for AC and the black Uber driver.

  2. You should hit Baltimore. It would give you a stable living environment for a couple months.

  3. A white or normal uber driver would have rolled you. You're lucky.

Tony, Tony, Tony... where do I even start with this one. The average american who works a full time job and has medical benefits will in fact at times sit waiting in an urgent care waiting room with many other patients. But for you, an unemployed american/progambler would be wasting your time in the exact same situation as the working stiff who will in fact patiently wait? It amazes me at times that you expect service(s) where you are the center of the universe per se that in fact people with net worth north of a minimum of $1,000,000 USD pay extra to get the premium service(s) such as no waiting in a doctor's office or this casino on-call doctor thing you mentioned. Stature is a noun that can mean a person's natural height or "importance or reputation gained by ability or achievement". People of your stature do in fact sit in urgent care with 25 other patients waiting for their turn to be taken care of. Odds are that casino staff do not give people of your stature the phone number to call for the on-call doctor. With that all said, good luck getting all those medical things taken care of. It sounds like you are just one step from the slippery slope of a health breakdown that will land you in some sort of nursing home and your days of being a mobile poker pro free to come and go anywhere that you might like in this great country running out? What you gonna do Tony? Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock...

    1. Lester - "you expect service(s) where you are the center of the universe per se" - This is very much part of Tony's disability. Tony has always had issues with seeing life from a non-ego-centric point of view. That view is very typical of aspergers syndrome.

    2. I guess that also explains the false sense of elevated stature? I suppose it would be easy to create an unrealistically high sense of one's own stature if you give zero consideration to anyone else's stature. EG: why the fuck did the doorman let that guy who just got here in the limo cut to the front of the line to get into this club when I have to wait in line with 25 other people who I shouldn't be waiting in line with anyhow?

  5. How often do you wash your hair and with what product?

  6. I think Stealthmunk sold/swapped 75% of his main event, so most of the money in his bank account belongs to others. On top of that if he owes makeup, or loans, who knows how much does he actually have.

  7. If you hadn't missed the train, (your fault), you would be over $1400 better off.

The black Uber drivers are OK. You need to watch out for the green and orange ones, they will rob you very quickly, and I've heard the purple ones with only one eye in the middle of their forehead are cannibals. The point is there was absolutely no reason to mention the color of a persons skin. Once again your racism is showing through Tony.

  8. Tony,

Mike Sullivan will make house calls in Vegas, in fact his practice is making house calls. I used him once when I got food poisoning while in Vegas. He came to the hotel with a nurse and diagnosed me on the spot. His nurse came back 1 hour later with my prescriptions and a portable IV. He followed up with a phone call each of the next two days to make sure I was okay. If I still lived in Vegas I would have him as my Primary Care Physician. Please note Mike is not a Dr. he is a P.A. which means he can prescribe meds but is not a full fledged Doc. His visit and all the meds totaled around $1,700.

    1. $1700 looks like a hefty fee but when you think about it more it ends up being priced at a level that people of adequate stature will gladly and easily pay.

    2. Does Mike have a kid brother with a diploma in pet grooming who would come over for $200-300?

    4. It was 100% covered by my insurance since I already hit my deductible earlier in the year, and I would assume it would have been around 1000 if it was done in office with the meds and the IV. 700 mark up to get someone to the door of the hotel and the amazing service was well worth it, and necessary given my condition.

    5. Tony: how many hundos would you peel off of your roll for this same level of service?

    1. no im willing to pay a rather high price of like $100-150. but an outrageous price like $250-500?

    2. Actually Tony, anything other than a simple convenient care visit will probably cost more than you will ever spend. What you really need is a thorough physical examination including a complete blood panel. With that information, a physician should be able to see if there might be any areas needing further exploration. You can't just go into a doctor's office and expect that the physician will somehow magically be able to tell you what is wrong with you. Doing things the right way will not be cheap, but it might at least give you some peace of mind regarding your health ... or information that might help you save or extend your life.

    3. $250 to $500 is not an outrageous price to anyone of adequate stature needing to pay for a premium healthcare experience. Consider a high school graduate that needs a car for his first JOB. He or she would be happy to drive a 20 year old Ford Taurus with decent tires and air conditioning that works. That same high school graduate would not be of a high enough stature to actually expect even a high mileage used BMW 320 as their first car coming out of high school.

    4. Tony you should look into the following group. They provide the medical care you need. While I dont use them I have a friend who does (Also I am sure PPP uses them) and he said each year he gets a full work up including blood tests. They will do a full physical and can help with arranging for a traveling Doc in most locations. http://www.eheintl.com/exec-health

    6. What's all this talk about paying for medical services? Tony is eligible for medicaid. He has ZERO documented income, and hasn't had any in years. Complete no-brainer.........Obama might save Tonys life, oh the irony....but oh yeah, I forgot. Tony is too lazy to walk wherever for his free medical care. There's a VBJ machine that's more important!

    7. Blurred,

Tony would have to fill out tax returns to qualify for Medicaid. No way he will ever do that. He prefers to be illegal.

    8. Dead and illegal. Smart move

    9. You think $125 is high? That is chump change! You have no sense of the value/cost of things in the real world.

      Delete
    10. Just wait till you have to go to the ER for something you are ignoring. I spent 8 hours in the Sunrise ER a year or so ago.... it was $17,000! That is how medical care in this country works. For $125 a doctor is going to give you 5 minutes time are give you a RX or two, and schedule you to see a specialist. You will get nothing actually accomplished for that little amount of chump change.

      Delete
    11. And, no, you don't have to fill out tax returns to qualify for Medicaid, you just have to not tell the person helping you apply you are a bigshot who makes a living off gambling.

      Delete
    12. No. The Nevada site indicates they look at MAGI to determine I someone is eligible for Meidcaid. That is determined by tax returns.

    13. Good point Zippy! Other than a ride in the back of a crown vic it is unlikely Tony has any recollection of makes/models of cars.

    14. Also how US Healthcare works, if you go to hospital ER for treatment that costs $100 if you are insured, it costs $1500 if you are uninsured, and whoa if you actually need multiple treatments or tests

      Delete
    15. It may be true that it cost $1,500 if you are uninsured, but then again they don't expect it will be paid.

  11. Tony: I just clicked on Grump's linked and besides having two online college ads there was an ad for afrointroductions.com -- African dating and singles -- Meet African Singles!

Do you get the same three ads when you click on Grump's link? Just curious...
